The purpose of this study is to experiment online public access catalog enhancements to improve its subject access capability. Three catalog databases, enhanced with title keywords, controlled vocabulary, and content words with controlled vocabulary respectively, were implemented. 18 searchers performed 2 subject searshes against 3 different catalog databases. And the transaction logs are analyzed. The results of the study can be summarized as follows : Controlled vocabulary catalog database achieved 41.8% recall ratio in average ; the addition of table of contents words to the controlled vocabulary is an effective technique with increasing recall ration upto 55% without decreasing precision ; and the database enhanced with title keywords shows 31.7% recall ratio in average. Of the three kinds of catalog databases, only the catalog with contents words produced 2 unique relevant documents. The results indicate that both user training and system development is required to have better search performance in online public access catalog.

세계에는 수많은 도서관이 있지만 어떤 시스템도 이 모든 도서관에 대한 정보를 총체적으로 제공하는 기관은 없다는 인식에서, 본 연구에서는 위키원리 기반 도서관지도정보시스템을 구축하고자 하였다. 또한 구글지도서비스를 매쉬업함으로써 도서관위치정보서비스도 제공하고자 하였다. 새로운 서비스 시스템이 개발됨에 따라, 이 시스템을 통해 제공될 정보의 효과적 조직 및 관리를 위해 새로운 메타데이터를 개발할 필요가 있었으며, 이를 위해 델파이 연구기법을 적용하였다. 델파이 전문위원으로 대학, 전문, 학교, 공공, 국가도서관의 사서를 포함하여 도서관 지도정보의 전문가인 연구소의 연구원 및 대학의 교수진 등 총 13명을 위촉하였다. 이들을 대상으로 한 제 3차에 걸친 델파이 설문분석과정을 통해, 초기 메타데이터 항목에 대한 추가, 수정, 삭제가 이루어졌으며, 도서관 위치정보, 도서관 정보, 장서정보, 행사정보로 구성된, 4개 부문 49개 항목의 메타데이터가 최종적으로 제안되었다.

본 연구는 경기도 31개 지방자치단체 도서관 행정조직의 편성과 운영형태를 조사하여 문제점을 제시하고, 이를 토대로 도서관 행정조직체계의 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다. 분석결과 본청에 직속으로 편성된 도서관 조직은 거의 없었으며, 대부분 사업소 등의 외청으로 편성되어 있었다. 또한 도서관 관련 조직이 도서관사업소 등의 독립적인 조직으로 구성되어 있는 경우도 있지만, 타 업무나 조직 하에 배속되어 있는 경우가 매우 많았으며 셋째, 해당 지방자치단체의 봉사대상 인구수나 도서관 직원 수, 도서관 수를 감안했을 때 이에 부합하지 않는 직급의 도서관 행정조직을 구성한 곳도 많았다. 넷째, 도서관 정책담당 부서의 설치가 미비하였다. 다섯째, 도서관 운영체제(중앙관-거점관-분관)가 효율적으로 구성되지 못하였다.

이 연구는 국내외 도서관의 직무사례를 분석한 선행연구 결과를 바탕으로 국내 도서관의 아동서비스 직무를 분석하고 표준모형을 제안한 후속연구이다. 이를 위하여 공공도서관과 아동도서관을 대상으로 직무에 대한 인식도를 조사 분석한 다음에 아동서비스를 강화하기 위한 표준 직무모형(중요성, 난이도, 전문성, 수행요건)을 제안하였다. 또한 표준 직무모형의 실천성을 화보하기 위한 아동사서의 전문성 제고와 자격제도화 방안을 제시하였다.

With the improvement of the Information Technology and the change of the business environment, the dependency of business on the Information Technology shows sharply increase. The Information Technology, however, is centered on the support of the technology viewpoint and thus the influence and effect of Information Technology on the business is hardly analyzed. The information system, therefore, requires not only technology-centric support management but service-oriented and systematic introduction of Information Technology Service Management(ITSM). The domestic ITSM market is currently expanding into variety of industries like finance, telecommunication, manufacturing and public service and at the same time the consequent reconstruction process of information system is continuously under way so as to qualify for the ISO 20000 certification. Especially the public organizations rapidly adopt the ITSM, in order to improve the quality of public service together with a goal of realizing the electronic government and of managerial innovation. The existing ITSM still, however, shows the tendency of depending only on the system construction and the management on the visible requirements whereas the overall process is not likely being improved. Hence, this study suggests, focusing on the life cycle of service, the model of ITSM based on Information Technology Infrastructure Library(ITIL) v3 which is appropriate for the public service. We expect, as stated in this study, that our ITSM model shall be widely accepted to the public agencies who promote the advance campaign by setting up the ITSM or reconstructing the existing process.

본 연구에서는 한국의 지역대표도서관과 비슷한 위계에서 유사한 기능을 수행하는 일본의 도도부현립(都道府縣立)도서관의 상호협력체계 분석을 통하여, 국내의 지역대표도서관 건립의 기초 자료로 활용하고자 한다. 연구를 위해 일본 문부과학성이 선정한 도도부현립(都道府縣立)도서관 우수 선진 사례 도서관 8개 관을 방문하여 상호협력 체계와 상호협력서비스 현황을 분석하고, 그 중 5개 관을 선정하여 도면분석을 통한 공간구성 분석을 진행하였다. 그 결과 도도부현립(都道府縣立)도서관은 일본의 지역대표도서관으로서 역할과 기능을 정확하게 인지하고 전국구 단위에서 국립 국회도서관뿐만 아니라 인근의 지역대표도서관과도 상호협력을 시행하며 범국가적인 상호협력체계를 형성하고 있는 것을 확인하였다. 또 공간구성에서는 도서관의 역할에 따라 사무영역과 지원영역의 업무관리부문의 구성비가 가장 높게 나타나는 공간 구성비를 나타내고 있었다.

사회적 관심이 커지고 있는 독서진흥 활동을 통해 도서관의 사회적 가치를 확보할 수 있다. 이를 위한 구체적 방안 제시를 위해 문헌연구 방법을 활용하여, 도서관이 직면한 사회적 과제를 분석하고. 그러한 과제를 수행하는 구체적 방안을 제시하고자 했다. 현재 각 지역에서는 도서관, 특히 어린이도서관에 대한 사회적 관심이 증대하고 있다. 이미 공공도서관들의 다양한 독서진흥 활동을 통해 도서관의 중요성을 인정받고 있어 보다 강력한 독서진흥 활동은 공공도서관의 역할 확대와 이를 통한 사회적 기반 확보에 중요한 방안이 되고 있다. 따라서 도서관은 정부, 공공과 민간부문의 다양한 독서진흥사업을 조정할 협의기구 구성, 운영, 법적 기반 마련, 도서관의 자발적인 독서진흥 프로그램 개발추진, 독서 및 책 정보제공 체계 구축과 대중서평지 발행, 독서 캠페인과 독서활동 주도, 가정에서의 독서활동 지원, 각종 독서진흥 관련 시상제도 확대 등 구체적 방안을 주도적으로 추진해 나가야 한다.

본 연구에서는 전문도서관 사서를 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하였으며, 대내·외 환경변화와 정책적 지원방안에 따라 업무영역에 미치는 영향력을 분석하고, 설문조사 결과에서 분석된 현장사서들의 인식조사 결과를 토대로 전문도서관 발전에 영향을 미치는 요인과 이에 따른 정책적 제안을 도출하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 개별 기관 내 도서관 위상 역할에 대한 인식에서는 도서관 발전계획 중요도에서 부정적인 의견이 58.3%, 도서관으로서 본연의 역할 수행여부에 대해서는 긍정적인 인식을 하는 것을 확인할수가 있었다. 둘째, 전문도서관의 위상을 높이기 위해서는 주요 기능과 역할의 중요성을 인식하여 학술연구활동에 대한 인식이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 도서관발전종합계획 중 전문도서관 및 운영평가 인식에서는 국가 공공 정보의 대국민 서비스 확대에 대해 가장 높게 인식하고 있었다. 또한 5년간 발전전략 중 우선 시행되어야 할 정책으로는 전문도서관 현황 갱신 및 조사를 위한 시스템 구축을 선호하는 것을 확인할 수가 있었다. 넷째, 도서관 운영평가 참여율 제고를 위한 효과적인 대안 및 개선지표에 대해 분석한 결과, 공기업 평가 항목에서 "기관 도서관 운영 평가" 항목의 가중치 부여가 평균 4.01로 가장 높게 나타났다. 따라서, 전문도서관 발전을 위해서는 현재 전문도서관의 현황을 종합적으로 파악할 수 있는 체계를 구축하고 적극적인 학술 연구를 지원하는 것이 가장 시급할 것으로 파악되었다

In modern times, pluralistic social phenomena in which various values are pursed and recognized appear. The modern society called hyper-connected, intelligence information and zero marginal cost society in which shared value is commonly emphasized faces a paradigm shift to shared society system. In particular, sharing-based activities related with intelligence information sectors more prominently emerge in the high-tech informatization which has been accelerated. The purpose of this study is to understand design factors related with how attribution of the sharing culture is expressed in library spaces and examine how sharing infrastructure is established in users' spaces. As a research method, it initially conducted theoretical consideration of the sharing culture and information spaces, which can be regarded as sociocultural phenomena in modern times. Then, it drew sharing culture-based spatial design factors-access, openness and plurality. It analyzed configuration of spaces for sharing information-Cultural Commons (CC), Information Commons(IC) and Learning Commons (LC) - and infrastructure of information spaces, for library cases-five domestic and foreign public libraries-. The findings show that modern library spaces reflect historical needs for the sharing culture and actively serve their roles through spatial infrastructure including contents (programs) and services for sharing knowledge. The study is determined to be valuable as basic data in establishing the infrastructure of information spaces reflecting modern social trends and cultural phenomena, in expecting spatial structures in which knowledge is reproduced and planning spaces of libraries in the future.

본 연구는 공공도서관 모바일 웹의 접근성 현황을 파악하고 이에 대한 개선방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 모바일 앱과 웹 지침에 따라 접근성 체크리스트를 도출하고, 자동평가와 수동평가를 통해 접근성 현황을 조사하였다. 연구결과, 대체텍스트는 검색결과 도서 이미지 안내, 메인메뉴, 텍스트 대신 이미지 제공에서 가장 많이 미준수 현황을 보였으며, 초점은 검색 및 검색결과에서, 운영체제 접근성은 검색어 입력창 레이블 및 아이디, 패스워드 입력창에서, 색에 무관한 인식은 좌석현황 및 도서관일정, 명도대비는 메인메뉴 및 서지사항에서, 컨트롤 간 충분한 간격은 자료검색 필드 간 간격 및 메인검색창에서 미준수 현황이 주로 나타났다. 이와 함께 연구결과로 모바일 도서관 주요 서비스별로 정리하여, 향후 도서관 모바일 웹 서비스 구축에 활용하고자 하였다.
