The Long-Term Development Plan of the Pusan National University(PNU) has announced on 1991 in order to reach its roles and levels as an University with international standards, a Graduate School research-oriented and a core university in its community through accomplishment of this Plan. University libraries would be planned to support their universities' goals. Therefore the Library of PNU is facing on the task for supporting the Plan. The Collection for Korean Classical Materials (CKCM) is not limited in Korean Literature, Korean History, Korean Philosophy fields but covered the academic fields except a hightech science : Humanities, social science. pure science, applied science and arts etc. However, the Library of PNU does not have the organization, special librarian and budget for CKCM. Under this notion organization, budget and librarian for the collection would be followed. The CKCM contains the original editions, photography editions, copied issues. microform reproductions with comprehensive subjects in the fields of studies. Especially for the collection of treasure books the role of the Library of PNU induce to open individuals' collections or families' collections to public through the Library. The equipments for preserving rare books and treasure books are the conditioners for humidity and temperature, automatic extinguishment system. The reference materials, copy machine and reading room are requested for the user service of CKCM. The materials would be one of the most important thing in study and research. Therefore the Library of PNU need to pay attention to develop and preserve CKCM.

It was analysed and considered about entry methods of headings in Japanese book cataloging which using methods of major universities and public libraries in our nation at present. I was suggested and clarified one's position that authors heading must make an entry to our pronunciation after translating from sound of chines letters, title headings must make an entry translation from Japanese title or Chinese title, to Korean. On the cataloging of authors heading or title heading, if cataloging make an entry to Japanese pronunciation it have many faults as follow. (1) In the title and authors heading of Japanese books, if it make an entry as Kana letter, not only non skilled librarian at Japanese language will have many faults but also non skilled users to Japanese language or pronunciation will very difficult to reference in title and authors catalog card. (2) If it Romanize the catalog card of title and authors heading in the Japanese books, librarian of the catalog part will make efforts and take pains to the catalog work. In addition, catalog users which is skilled in Japanese language but can not understand or unknown to the Romanized entry, and which if not understand to the, methods of entry will very difficult to card investigation or can not refer to catalog card. (3) If it make an entry to Korean in the authors and title heading from Japanese sound or pronunciation, librairans and library users which is unskilful as Japanese language will be inconvenience to works and investigation of library materials.

국내 대부분의 대학도서관이 디지털참고봉사를 제공하고 있지만 그 이용률은 매우 저조하다. 저조한 원인에는 주제전문 사서의 부족, 홍보부족 기타 관리자의 인식부족 둥으로 나타났다. 국내 대학도서관들의 환경에서 이러한 문제를 각 도서관 별로 해결하기는 어렵다. 이를 효과적으로 해결하기 위한 방법으로 각 도서관의 디지털참고봉사를 통합하는 방법을 제기하였다. 디지털참고봉사를 통합하기 위해서는 먼저 주제전문사서 양성, 이용자들이 인지하기 쉬운 인터페이스, 프로그램 개발, 관리기관 설립 등이 필요한데, 이 중에서도 주제전문사서의 양성이 우선적으로 준비되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.

This study is an attempt to present a model of the organization structure for public libraries based on Standards for Public Libraries in Korea. The result of this study is as follows : (1) A library serving $50,000{\sim}80,000$ population should be organized with a staff of 4 persons and a part-time typist without actual departments. (2) A library serving $100,000{\sim}150,000$ population should be organized with a staff of 10 persons without actual departments. (3) A library serving $400,000{\sim}500,000$ population should be organized with a staff of 33 persons. $4{\sim}5$ sections and 2 branch libraries leveled with a section. (4) A library serving $900,000{\sim}1,000,000$ population should be organized with a staff of $62{\sim}66$ persons, an associate librarian, $4{\sim}5$ departments, $9{\sim}10$ sections and $4{\sim}5$ branch libraries leveled with a section. (5) A library serving $1,400,000{\sim}1,500,000$ population should be organized with a staff of 95 persons, an associate librarian, $5{\sim}6$ departments, $13{\sim}16$ sections, $6{\sim}8$ branch libraries leveled with a section and a full-time person taking charge of publicity. (6) A library serving $1,900,000{\sim}2,000,000$ population should be organized with a staff of 124 persons, 2 associate librarians, $7{\sim}8$ departments, 14 sections, 4 separate rooms without actual departments and $9{\sim}11$ branch libraries leveled with a section.

본 연구는 다른 직업과 비교하여 사서직의 현 단계의 직업지표(상황)와 10년 후의 직업지표(전망)에 대한 인식을 분석하여 문제점을 파악, 개선방안을 제시하기 위해 수행되었다. 문헌정보학 전공 학생과 사서를 대상으로 조사 분석한 결과, 현재와 10년 후 전망 모두 임금 수준이 타 직업보다 낮고, 일자리수요도 낮다고 생각하는 것으로 파악되었다. 또 학생과(58.4%) 사서(64.2%) 모두 과반 이상이 정규고용이 낮다고 생각하고, 직장이동 가능성 또한 낮다고 생각하는 것으로 파악되었다. 본 연구에서는 이 같은 분석결과 등을 토대로 첫째 사서직의 저임금 문제를 해소하기 위해 비정규직을 정규직화 할 것, 둘째 사서직의 취업진로 확대를 위해 인구 5만 명당 공공도서관 1개관 시대를 조기에 열 것, 셋째 공공도서관의 위탁운영 및 BTL 사업화를 철회할 것 등을 제안하였다.

본 연구는 학교도서관 인적자원의 현황을 파악하고, 인적자원이 부재한 학교도서관을 지원하는 순회사서의 직무만족도를 통해 학교도서관의 발전방향을 제시하고자 한다. 순회사서제도가 운영되고 있는 전남, 경북, 경남의 직원을 대상으로 일반적인 현황과 근무체계, 업무 특성을 파악하고 직무만족도를 조사·분석하였다. 분석결과 사서 1명이 10여개에서 200여개의 학교를 담당하고 있었으며, 30%의 사서는 공공도서관 소속으로 나타났다. 직무만족도는 3.45점으로 나타났으며, 세부항목을 보면 직무(4.15), 보람(3.89), 의사소통(3.70)은 평균 이상인 반면, 승진공정(2.08), 교육(1.96)은 낮게 나타났다. 직무만족을 높이기 위해 본 연구에서는 순회사서 인력 증원, 계속교육 기회제공, 순회사서 소속 변경 등을 제안하였다.

일반 국민, 법률전문가 등이 재판 관련 자료를 열람·대출할 수 있도록 하여 사법격차를 줄이고 사법접근성을 높이는데 일조할 수 있는 것은 사법부 국립도서관인 법원도서관 법마루가 유일하다. 이에 본 연구는 설문조사와 면담을 통해 법원도서관 법마루 서비스에 대한 이용자 만족도를 파악하고 서비스 개선방안을 도출하였다. 이용자 만족도는 5점 만점에 직원응대 4.62점, 시설관리 4.48점, 행사 및 강좌 등 문화프로그램 4.33점 등의 순이었으며, 장서구성 만족도가 3.97점으로 가장 낮았다. 이는 법 전문성이 만족도에 영향을 가장 크게 주는 부분이 장서구성이기 때문으로 보인다. 장서구성에 대한 만족도가 가장 낮았던 만큼 앞으로 법마루가 강화해야 할 서비스 역시 장서확충이 44%(114명)로 가장 높았으며, 향후 이용자층에 따른 균형 있는 장서 수집이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 개선방안으로는 일반 국민과 법률전문가의 법원도서관 법마루 열람 공간 및 서비스 이원화, 법률 전문도서관으로서의 정체성 강화, 시스템 개선, 홍보 및 직원응대 강화 등을 제시하였다. 지속적인 문헌정보학계의 연구를 통해 법원도서관 법마루 서비스가 성공적으로 정착된다면 법학전문도서관을 비롯한 법학도서관계 전반의 서비스 품질을 향상시키고 이용자 만족도를 증대시킬 수 있을 것이다.

본 연구에서는 도서관 현장의 직무 분석을 통한 직종별 핵심 직무와 직무별 전문성의 정도, 그리고 조직체계상 도서관 유형별 해당 직무를 도출해내고자 한다. 이 연구의 결과는 우리나라 공공도서관의 인력구조 개선의 정책 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다. 직무분석에 대한 조사는 경기도 공공도서관에 근무하는 사서를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 이루어졌으며, 설문조사는 중견급 이상의 공공도서관 사서 49명이 참여하였다. 도서관 과업의 21.1%는 직무의 중요성이 매우 높게 인식하고 있었으며, 전체 과업의 69.6%는 높은 전문성을 요하는 과업으로 인식되었고, 도서관 과업의 73.1%가 사서직에 의하여 수행되어야 하는 직무로 인식하였다.

It can be expected for a public library to increase the service efficiency only when librarians can be satisfied with their job. Job satisfaction is the feeling a librarian has about his salary, his work, his promotion opportunities, his co- workers, his supervisors, etc. and affects directly librarians' morale. This paper is a study on these factors that affect the professional librarians' morale in national and public libraries in Korea. The methods employed to achieve the purpose of this study are (1) to establish some tentative factors affecting librarians' morale (2) to gather and analyze the answers against them from the professional librarians working in national and public libraries in Seoul, Korea. (3) to find out the factors abstructing the librarias' morale (4) to propose the improvement plans for them. The conclusions made are as follows: (1) Delegation of rights and responsibilities. (2) Adoption of the democratic leadership. (3) The harmonious communications between managers and librarians. (4) The level of wages and allowance. (5) Revision of the librarians' promotion regulation. (6) Necessity of continuing education of librarians. (7) Satisfaction of welfare facilities. (8) Improvement of social acknowledgement for the librarians' professionalism according to the advancement the level of educational course.

공공도서관의 역할과 기능이 점점 다양해지고 복합적으로 변화되면서 공공도서관의 여러 업무에서 사서의 전문성이 요구되고 있다. 한편 사회의 발전과 변화에 따라 인문학에 대한 관심이 높아지고 인문학 강좌가 확산되는 추세이며, 대부분의 공공도서관에서도 이러한 추세에 부응하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 동대문구정보화도서관에서 인문학 강좌와 관련해서 사서들의 전문적 역량의 개발에 중점을 두었던 2013년과 2014년의 인문학 강좌들의 사례를 살펴보고자한다. 그리고 그 진행과정과 내용 그리고 설문조사 결과 등을 분석하여 본 연구의 목적인 공공도서관 사서직의 전문성과 대중적인 인문학 강좌와의 연관성을 살펴보고, 사서직의 전문성에 대한 이해를 높이고자 한다.
