The role of innovation in economic growth and development is extensively recognized today. Innovations allow firms to stay ahead in a competitive environment while also playing a leading role in developing a nation or a region. The capacity to solve critical problems depends on the generation of innovations. Innovations are more important for a developing nation as only through them, they can find appropriate solutions to the issues unique to their context. A robust roadmap that fosters and nurtures innovations in a country has thus become an essential aspect of public policy. In this context, the book The Black Box: Innovation and Public Policy in India by Prof. Rakesh Basant provides an overview of the innovation landscape in India and the challenges it faces in building a robust entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem in the country. The author provides an extensive analysis of different actors within India's innovation system and recommends policy initiatives to boost and foster innovation.

The main purpose of the study is to determine the key aspects of the public-private partnership system in the context of the economic development of the state. At first glance, the mutually exclusive interests of the state and business do not contribute to the development of common and agreed development goals. At the same time, ignoring the versatility of interests and the aggravation of the discussion regarding the two sides under consideration, the study of the theoretical foundations of the interaction between the public and private sectors of the economy allows us to draw the following conclusion: world economic theory from classical political economy to new institutionalism has a clear structured position on the ancient historical depth of existence of the form of partnerships Based on the results of the study, the main elements of the public-private partnership system in the context of the economic development of the state were identified.

Quality of Life in Pakistan is an understudied and rather unexplored domain. With various definitions and challenges to explaining quality of life, a public opinion poll and scientific surveys have been conducted in order to find out more about the quality of life in Pakistan. Using a nationally representative sample, this paper seeks to identify quality of life measures, find results, and analyze them to see what they mean, specifically in the context of Pakistan.

This study analyzes the epistemological meaning of‘social construction’in mathematical instruction. The perspective that consider the cognition of mathematical concept as a social construction is explained by a cyclic scheme of an academic context and a school context. Both of the contexts require a public procedure, social conversation. However, there is a considerable difference that in the academic context it is Lakatos' ‘logic of mathematical discovery’In the school context, it is Vygotsky's‘instructional and learning interaction’. In the situation of mathematics education, the‘society’which has an influence on learner's cognition does not only mean‘collective members’, but‘form of life’which is constituted by the activity with purposes, language, discourse, etc. Teachers have to play a central role that guide and coordinate the educational process involving interactions with learners in this context. We can get useful suggestions to mathematics education through this consideration of the social contexts and levels to form didactical situations of mathematics.

Among public organizations, does variation in organizational structure explain variation in public managers' leadership styles (e.g., transformational and transactional leadership)? The study of leadership in public organizations is increasingly an area of scholarly interest partly sparked by movements to reform public organizations, particularly in the context of emergency management. There is, for example, a need for effective leadership that can help organizations respond to disasters (Kapucu et al. 2010; Van Wart and Kapucu 2011; Stern 2013). There are numerous documented cases where the lack of leadership skills has been linked to major social and economic losses as a result of poor disaster response (e.g., Hurricane Katrina in the U.S.). Yet, leadership is a complex concept and numerous theoretical frameworks have been developed to help explain it (Van Wart 2005). Practically speaking, the existence of different theories of leadership suggests that public managers can decide to exercise various styles of leadership. The style of leadership that a public manager exhibits matters because some styles are perceived to be more effective than others (Trottier et al. 2008). While the effects of leadership have been extensively studied, antecedents or predictors of leadership style have received little scholarly attention (Wright and Pandey 2009; Nielsen and Cleal 2011). The purpose of this research note then is to explore the potential causal relationship between the structure of an organization and the ability of a public manager to exercise transformational leadership in the context of emergency management in two Asian countries: South Korea and Japan. This research note consists of three main sections. The following section explores the relationship between leadership and organizational structure. The second section examines how certain concepts of leadership and organizational structure were applied in two case studies of disaster response. The final section presents some directions for future research.

Recently, Public Design is being applied at many kinds of urban development. But the application is not carried out well owing to ambiguity of the object of plan. The object of the design and the role from it are based on defining of the realm and type of public design. So, it is necessary to study more about the realm and type of the public design in accordance with the context of the related space and region. Through the analysis of the public design, some points of conclusion have been attained. First, the realm and type of public design is to be more simplified than ever: public facilities and public medium. So, public facilities are to be oriented toward placeness on the one hand, and public medium is to be used for regional marketing on the other hand.

The aim of this study is to expand and deepen our knowledge of Braille libraries in Japan. This study begins with a different viewpoint than previous ones. It does not view Braille libraries solely from the institutions themselves but it locates them within the historical context of Japanese society and both Braille and public libraries. It finds that although Braille and public libraries began with similar purposes, they drastically diverged after 1949 when the former’s welfare center-like function for the blind became more apparent. But by the 1970s, Braille libraries shifted in the direction of its original library function at the impetus of the Blind Reading Rights Movement.

Identity of the place where the physical location and time and spatial context, and is structured as socially agreed symbols to build a consistent image, while fraught with Differentiation can be achieved through integration. And discrimination and the practical and effective deployment of an integrated image to be useful as a guide for the top design 'Design Guidelines' are, The findings, where the identity used to establish guidelines for the design for the following conclusions can be drawn. First, of public space design guidelines agreed upon by the public and social identity as the basis to establish a new identity as a contemporary and practical plan for this is to provide guidance. Second, the design guidelines in principle, the physical elements and activities of the parent and the temporal and spatial context and meaning were overridden. Third, the horizontal axis with respect to the identity and principles to guide development in the detail, and the vertical axis as a place to build an image in order for the specific design items are listed. Fourth, the guidelines can set a specific motif, and coverage including identity of the place. Fifth, by applying image and schematic the identity can be Implemented effectively and clearly. Without interfering with the designer's creativity and implement new image of the place, Design guidelines should study how a reasonable instructions.
