Background: The aims of this study were to determine the extent of workplace bullying perceptions among the employees of a Faculty of Medicine, evaluating the variables considered to be associated, and determining the effect of workplace bullying perceptions on their psychological symptoms evaluated by the Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI). Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed involving 355 (88.75%) employees. Results: Levels of perceived workplace bullying were found to increase with the increasing scores for BSI and BSI sub-dimensions of anxiety, depression, negative self, somatization, and hostility (all p < 0.001). One point increase in the workplace bullying perception score was associated with a 0.47 point increase in psychological symptoms evaluated by BSI. Moreover, the workplace bullying perception scores were most strongly affected by the scores of anxiety, negative self, depression, hostility, and somatization (all p < 0.05). Conclusion: The present results revealed that young individuals, divorced individuals, faculty members, and individuals with a chronic disease had the greatest workplace bullying perceptions with our study population. Additionally, the BSI, anxiety, depression, negative self, somatization, and hostility scores of the individuals with high levels of workplace bullying perceptions were also high.

In this study, to find out the effect of psychological anxiety of the patients during MRI examination on the claustrophobia and vital signs, As for a study tool, to measure Anxiety Sensitivity Index(ASI), Kamsung Evaluation Index of Life Environmental Noise(KEI), Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders(DSM-IV) was used, and for vital signs, blood pressure and pulse rate were measured pre and post MRI examination. In conclusion, it was indicated that though the effect of the general characteristics, psychological anxiety, on noise sensitivity and claustrophobia was small, the psychological anxiety of the patients during MRI examination affected claustrophobia and vital signs.
Measuring the food safety has been focused only on the psychological consumers' recognition of food safety. The actual measurement tool should consist of the evidence-based statistical data to assess the level of national food safety in scientific perspectives. This paper described the development of a concept to measure the food safety of the food chain based on OECD PSR framework. This paper discusses the elaboration of a set of 8 food safety related data issued as statistical data, and which were same weighted. These food safety statistical data (FSDs) were derived as the basis of measuring the variation of food safety during 2013-2019. The values of the primary production indicator (PPI), the processing and manufacturing indicator (PMI), and the distribution and consumption indicator (DCI) are 0.558-0.859, 0.533-0.691, and 0.979-0.982, respectively. The food safety status (FSS) derived from the safety indicator values of each of the three stages is 0.700-0.810. In order to increase the level of food safety, it is necessary to pay attention to PMI and PPI management. In the future, continuously calculating the level of food safety, managing it like the level of psychological safety, and further expanding it to the level of food safety between countries will help establish policies to improve the level of food safety in Korea.
The purpose of this study is to review the previous studies on the safety problems in Korea and to propose a psychological total safety system model. The model consisted of four agents; the government as the safety management agent, the suppliers of safety goods and services, consumer of safety goods and services, and civil movement institutions for safety. It was emphasized that the culture specific social representations of safety and accident have emerged in the course of rapid industrialization process in Korea during last 30 years. We delineated the social representations of the Korean people on safety and accident according to the model. A psychological analysis of drinking and driving behavior was performed as an application of the model. It was emphasized that safety psychologists have to develope and to apply the knowledge and the information from human engineering psychology and applied social psychology on safety and accidents.
The more the lift environment eastern idea, culture, factory automation system and information technology complicates, the more the various human error brings about. It brings about all kind of accidents and occupational diseases. Also the death and sickness or injury by psychological stress among the human error has increased every year. Therefore this paper describes the Korean lift change unit model through statistical testing with the proposed life change unit factors on the married workers living the middle area. The proposed model can be simply used in order to minimize the industrial accident and human error in real fields. Finally, the result will be helpful for the better safety management.

This study was attempted to investigate the effects of psychological safety and physical self-concept on ego-resilience of nursing students. This data collected from September to November 2021 through a structured questionnaire from 166 nursing students at M University in Jeolla Southern Province. For data processing, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed using the SPSS 23.0 program. As a result of this study, there were significant positive correlations in the self-resilience of nursing students with psychological stability and physical self-concept(r=.480, p<.001, r=.426, p<.001). The factors affecting the ego-resilience of nursing students were psychological safety(β=0.352, p<.001) and physical self-concept (β=0.236, p<.001), and the explanatory power was 26%. As a result of this study, it is necessary to increase psychological safety and physical self-concept in order to increase the ego-resilience of nursing students. It is necessary to develop and apply guide programs that enhances psychological stability for nursing students, and to provide education and facilities so that they can have a healthy body and mind, not only academics.
Background: COVID-19 pandemic represented a unique stressful event that affected the physical health and psychological well-being (PWB) of individuals and communities. Monitoring PWB is essential not only to clarify the burden on mental health effects but also to define targeted psychological-supporting measures. This cross-sectional study evaluated the PWB of Italian firefighters during the pandemic. Methods: Firefighters recruited during the pandemic period filled out a self-administered questionnaire, the Psychological General Well-Being Index, during the health surveillance medical examination. This tool is usually used to assess the global PWB and explores six subdomains: anxiety, depressed mood, positive well-being, self-control, general health, and vitality. The influencing roles of age, gender, working activities, COVID-19, and pandemic restrictive measures were also explored. Results: A total of 742 firefighters completed the survey. The aggregate median PWB global score was in the 'no distress"" range (94.3 ± 10.3), which was higher than that observed in studies conducted using the same tool in the Italian general population during the same pandemic period. Similar findings were observed in the specific subdomains, thus suggesting that the investigated population was in good PWB condition. Interestingly, significantly better outcomes were detected in the younger firefighters. Conclusion: Our data showed a satisfactory PWB situation in firefighters that could be related to different professional factors such as work organization and mental and physical training. In particular, our results would suggest the hypothesis that in firefighters, maintaining a minimum/moderate level of physical activity (consisting of even just going to work) might have a profoundly positive impact on psychological health and well-being.

To test the hypothesis of this study, we analyze the statistics program using SPSS 25.0 and Macro Process. The results of this study through empirical research are as follows. First, WLB has a positive effect on organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. Second, psychological safety was found to play a mediating role in the relationship between work-life balance and organizational commitment. Third, psychological safety was found to play a mediating role in the relationship between work-life balance and organizational citizenship behavior. Fourth, organizational commitment has a positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior.
This study investigated the confidence, satisfaction, and psychological safety and identified factors affecting the satisfaction of 41 paramedic students. Data, which consists of pre and post-confidence items on visual analogue scale, 21 satisfaction items and 10 psychological safety items was analyzed using SPSS WIN 21.0 program. After the simulation education, the students were told to write what they felt about the education. Then the students' comments, which were categorized as effectiveness and difficulty, were analyzed. Satisfaction of general characteristics showed a significant difference in age (t = -2.22, p = 0.03) and psychological safety of general characteristics showed a significant difference in gender (t = 3.70, p = 0.00) and age (t = -3.65, p = 0.00). Pre-confidence is low (4.37); however, post-confidence increased to 6.22. It showed a significant difference in pre and post-confidence (t = -5.878, p = 0.000). Satisfaction was correlated with psychological safety (r = 0.516, p = 0.001). The variables affecting satisfaction were psychological safety (t = 3.021, p = 0.005) and post-confidence (t = 1.936, p = 0.061). These variables accounted for 27.6% of the satisfaction according to a regression analysis. The simulation education may be the new effective paramedic education strategy of emergency childbirth. Repetitive simulation learning with further development of various scenarios, more education time, and more faculties will be able to train field compatible paramedics.
