인간공학적 방법을 이용한 사이클 선수의 경기력 평가 (우수선수의 경기력 벤치마킹을 중심으로) (Cyclist's Performance Evaluation Used Ergonomic Method)

  • Cycling that transform human energy into mechanical energy is one of the man-machine systems out of sports fields. Benchmarking means " improving ourselves by learning from others ", therefore benchmarking toward dominant cyclist is necessary on field. the goals of this study were to provide important factors on multi-disciplines (kinematics, physiology, power, psychology) for a tailored-training program that is suitable to individual characteristics. Two cyclist participated in this study and gave consent to the experimental procedure. one was dominant cyclist (years:21 yrs, height:177 cm, mass:70 kg), and the other was non-dominant cyclist(years:21, height:176, mass:70). Kinematic data were recorded using six infrared cameras (240Hz) and QTM (software). Physiological data (VO2max, AT) were acquired according to graded exercising test with cycle ergometer and power with Wingate test used by Bar-Or et. al ( 1977) and to evaluate muscle function with Cybex. Psychological data were collected with competitive state anxiety inventory (CSAI-2) that were devised by Martens et. al (1990) and with athletes' self-management questionnaire (ASMQ) of Huh (2003). It appears that the dominant's CV(coefficient of variability) was higher than non-dominant's CV in Sports Biomechanics domain, that the dominant's values for all factors ware higher than non-dominant's values in physical, and physiological domain, and their values between cognitive anxiety and somatic anxiety were contrary to each other in psychology. Further research on multi-disciplines may lead to the development of tailored-optimal training programs applicable with key factors to enhance athletic performance by means of research including athlete, coach and parents.

경호원의 제육감(第六感)활용 향상방안에 대한 고찰 (A Study of Improving Plan of Security Guard's Sixth Sense Utilization)

  • 본 논문은 경호원의 경호임무 수행에 있어서 인간의 다섯 가지 기본감각인 '오감'이 경호상황에서 어떻게 작용되는 가에 대하여 알아보고, 인간의 초월감각인 '제육감' 계발하고 향상시킴으로써 보다 완벽한 임무수행에 이바지하고자 하였다. 제육감의 발달은 부수적으로 오감을 배양시키는 것은 물론, 임무수행중인 경호원의 심리를 안정시킬 뿐 아니라 올바른 사회적 가치관을 확립하도록 하여 준다. 이러한 제육감 능력을 향상시키기 위한 방안으로 인간의 육체보다는 정신수양에 중점을 두는 명상수련이 있으며, 육체와 정신을 동시에 닦아 나아가는 것으로서 도덕적 인간이 되는 동시에 충일한 생명력을 갖추는 선도수련이 있고, 다음으로 심리적 안정과 심신의 기능을 조화롭게 하는 심리강화훈련 등이 있다. 이러한 제육감활동 향상을 위한 실천방법으로서 경호관련 대학교육기관의 교과목 배정이 있으며, 민간연수기관의 수련 프로그램의 도입, 그리고 민 관 경호전문기관에서의 지속적 반복적 훈련시행 등이 있다.

특수형태근로 종사 여부에 따른 작업위험요인과 건강상 문제의 차이 분석 (The Analysis of Risk Exposure and Ill Health Symptom by Difference Depending on the Special Type of Employment)

  • Objectives: The object of this paper is to analyze difference of general and occupational characters, risk exposure and ill health symptom depending on the special type of employment. Methods: 50,007 participants from Fourth Korean Working Condition Survey conducted in 2014 was analyzed. Cross-tabulation analysis was conducted for deriving difference in general and occupational characters, mulitvariate logistic regression analysis was conducted after controlling general and occupational characters for deriving difference in risk exposure and ill health symptom depending on the special type of employment. Results: In the special type of employment, female, ages of 50, education levels of high school, monthly income of 2,000-3,000 thousand won, job types of sales person, enterprises of less than 100 workers, working duration of 2-10 years and long working hours worker's proportion was higher than general employment. Physical(OR: 0.84, 95% CI: 0.76-0.94) and ergonomic (OR: 0.48, 95% CI: 0.42-0.55) risk exposure was lower, psychological(OR: 1.77, 95% CI: 1.54-2.04) risk exposure was higher than general employment, and there was no significant difference between the special type of employment and general employment in chemical/biological risk exposure(OR: 1.06, 95% CI: 0.94-1.20) and ill health symptom(OR: 0.98, 95% CI: 0.89-1.09). Conclusions: This article offers the analysing difference between the special type of employment and general employment using huge size cross sectional data represent Korean employees.

치매 환자의 공격성 관리에 활용가능한 억간산(抑肝散)의 고전적, 비임상적, 임상적 근거현황 (Classical, Non-Clinical, and Clinical Evidence of Yokukansan for Alleviating Aggression: Scoping Review)

  • Objectives: To review and analyze clinical and preclinical evidence of effectiveness, safety, and underlying mechanisms of yokukansan (YKS), a herbal medicine, in alleviating aggression. Methods: Classical records on YKS were searched in the Korean Traditional Medicine Knowledge Database (KTMKD). By searching five electronic databases, prospective clinical studies and preclinical studies of YKS for alleviating aggression/agitation published up to March 30, 2021 were included. Results: Only two classical records on YKS were found from the KTMKD. A total of 11 clinical studies and 15 preclinical studies were found from the five electronic databases. Among 11 clinical studies, seven enrolled patients with dementia and four enrolled patients with other neuropsychiatric disorders. Most clinical studies reported significant improvement in one or more outcomes related to aggression in the YKS group after treatment. Among 15 preclinical studies, all studies except two reported a significant decrease in aggression/agitation-related behavior of YKS or yokukansankachimpihange. Suggested underlying mechanisms of YKS or yokukansankachimpihange for aggression/agitation in these studies included regulation of serotonin receptor, amelioration of abnormal glucocorticoid level related to the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, regulation of orexin secretion, amelioration of degeneration in brain cells including glia cells, and suppression of excessive glutamatergic or dopaminergic activity. Conclusions: There were some clinical and preclinical evidence supporting the effectiveness and safety of YKS for alleviating aggression. Given that aggression is the most frequent and destructive symptoms of behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia, applicability of YKS as a herbal medicine should be further investigated in future high-quality research.

Radiation risk perception and its associated factors among residents living near nuclear power plants: A nationwide survey in Korea

  • There has been increased interest in researching risk perception of radiation to implement successful risk communication, particularly given the recent worldwide nuclear policy movement regarding nuclear energy. This study aimed to investigate characteristics of risk perception among residents living near normally operating nuclear power plants in South Korea by identifying factors associated with risk perception. A survey was conducted with face-to-face interviews for 1200 residents aged 20e84 years by gender- and age-stratified random sampling. Risk perception was associated with trust perception in nuclear safety, but was not highly correlated with benefit perception for utilizing nuclear power. Relatively high risk perception was observed in women, older age groups, and residents not having experience of nuclear-related education or work. This association remained after adjusting for other factors including benefit perception, trust perception, and psychological distress. In addition to these individual characteristics, risk perception was also associated with a residential district's own unique context, indicating that a strategy of risk communication should be developed differently for residents facing nuclear-related circumstances. Given that risk perception can be changed, depending on social values such as safety culture and economic setting, further studies are required to understand the changing characteristics of radiation risk perception.

공단 고객 응대 근로자의 스트레스 현황과 개선을 위한 인식도 조사 (Survey on Analysis and Improvement of the Stress Status of Customer-facing Workers in the Corporation)

  • Today's customer service providers, who have the greatest impact on customer satisfaction, are experiencing severe stress and job burnout due to various causes. Unlike general companies, the corporation has a relatively high level of dissatisfaction with customer service since there is a large conflict between the provision of kindness and the reasonable handling of civil complaints according to laws and regulations. In order to analyze the environment of the NPS' customer service providers, 5.583 branch employees working at the National Pension Service and 407 call center employees were surveyed online using the questionnaire function of the Enterprise resource planning system. The contents of the survey consisted of a survey on customer-facing employees, the level of awareness of customer-facing workers protection measures, and opinions on improvement and supplementation related to customer-facing workers protection measures. As a result of the survey, 72.8% of the total respondents experienced grievance complaints, and the proportion of call center employees was even higher at 89.0%. In addition, both the branch and the call center had the largest share of complaints about obstruction of business, unreasonable demands, abusive language, and verbal abuse. More than 40% of call center employees in their 20s and 30s experienced the highest frequency of complaints 13 or more times a year. The most difficult thing in the process of responding to complaints was that both branch offices and call centers had insufficient psychological recovery time, lack of space, and lack of help from colleagues and superiors. Based on the survey analysis, it is suggested to establish a countermeasure through case analysis rather than the right to suspend work for civil complaints that cannot be handled, such as customized manuals and action strategies for the age group with high grievance complaints.

신임공무원의 성격특성이 학업소진에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Personality Characteristics of A New Public Official on Academic Burnout)

  • 공무원은 국민의 봉사자로서 국민의 안전은 경찰이 담당하고 있다. 특히 3면이 바다인 우리나라의 해양 안전은 매우 중요하다. 해양이라는 특수성과 위험성으로 인해 해양경찰의 교육은 매우 중요한 요소이다. 특히 신임 교육과정은 재직하는 동안 직무와 연결되기 때문에 교육 성과와 관련이 있는 요소는 더욱 중요하다. 이 연구에서는 신임해양경찰공무원 200명을 대상으로 성격특성과 학업소진의 관계를 살펴보았다. 연구 결과 성격특성 5요인 중 신체적 고갈에 영향을 미친 요인은 외향성 요인, 신경성 요인, 정서적 고갈에 영향을 미친 요인은 외향성 요인, 신경성, 냉소주의에 영향을 미친 요인은 신경성과 개방성 요인, 성취감 저하에 영향을 미친 요인은 외향성 요인, 신경성 요인, 성실성 요인이었다. 특히 학업소진에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 성격특성 5요인은 신경성으로 나타났다. 신임해양경찰공무원의 교육적 만족과 효과를 위해서는 신임해양경찰공무원의 심리적 여유와 스트레스 최소화 방안이 필요하다.

행동장애를 가진 Thoroughbred 수망아지에서 반동물복지와 연관된 펜스함정 1례 (A Case of Fence Entrapment Associated with Anti-Welfare in a Thoroughbred Colt with Misbehavior at a Paddock)

  • 말의 복지는 생리적 및 심리적 필요의 만족에 좌우된다. 본 연구의 목적은 말목장에서 펜스의 안전을 평가하기 위함이다. 행동장애(Cribbing)를 가진 Thoroughbred 수망아지 한 마리가 패독에서 폐사한 채 발견되었다. 패독의 펜스는 4개의 파이프로 만들어졌고, 망아지는 위에서 2번째 파이프를 무는 행동장애를 하였다. 그러나 그 망아지는 얼굴을 빼지 못하였는데 그 이유는 아래턱이 1번째 파이프에 걸렸고 앞니가 2번째 파이프에 끼었기 때문이다. 그래서 망아지는 얼굴을 빼기 위해서 사투하는 동안에 당황하였고, 쓰러졌으며 결국 교사하였다. 안전펜스는 말목장에 필수적이고 그 기능은 말을 보호하는 것이지만 위해를 가하였다. 말의 안전한 관리를 위하여 말 얼굴길이와 파이프의 간격을 고려하여야한다. 말이 패독에 있을 때 입마개를 씌울 필요가 있는지 더 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구는 말산업에서 펜스타입과 안전성평가에 중요한 벤치마크를 제공하였다.

한국의 자살예방을 위한 지역공동체 접근 (A Call for Community-Based Suicide Prevention in South Korea)

  • 본 논문에서는 자살예방을 위한 지역공동체 기반의 접근과 자살률 감소를 위한 국가전략에 대해 고찰하고 한국에서의 자살감소를 위한 제안을 하였다. 한국의 경우 여전히 자살의 이해와 예방에 대한 노력은 정신과의사, 심리학자, 정신건강관련기관, 개인기관 등과 같은 특수한 목적을 가진 집단에 의해 상호협조 없이 단독으로 이루어지고 있으며, 각 집단이 개별적으로 활동하고 있기 때문에 궁극적으로는 자살예방에 있어서 별다른 효과가 나타나지 않고 있는 상황이다. 한국에서의 자살을 예방하고 감소시키기 위해서, 지역공동체의 구성원들은 자살과 관련된 충분한 지식을 갖고 다른 영역의 전문가나 기관들과 적극적으로 협력해야 한다. 이러한 노력을 통해, 지역공동체는 정신건강을 증진시킬 수 있는 네트워크를 구축할 수 있게 된다. 자살을 예방하고 자살률을 감소시키는 가장 중요한 요소는 자살과 정신건강에 대한 오명을 제거하고, 도움추구 행동을 증가시키는 것이다. 자살은 자살하려는 사람이 해결할 수 있는 개인적인 문제가 아니라 자살의 인식, 관리 및 예방에 있어 지역공동체가 해결해야 되는 지역공동체의 문제다.

Developing a short standard questionnaire for assessing work organization hazards: the Healthy Work Survey (HWS)

  • Background: At present, no short standard questionnaire exists for assessing and comparing major work organization hazards in the workplaces of the United States. Methods: We conducted a series of psychometric tests (content validity, factor analysis, differential-item functioning analysis, reliability, and concurrent validity) to validate and identify core items and scales for major work organization hazards using the data from the 2002-2014 General Social Surveys (GSSs), including the Quality of Worklife (QWL) questionnaire. In addition, an extensive literature review was undertaken to find other major work organization hazards which were not addressed in the GSS. Results: Although the overall validity of the GSS-QWL questionnaire was satisfactory in the psychometric tests, some GSS-QWL items of work-family conflict, psychological job demands, job insecurity, use of skills on the job, and safety climate scales appeared to be weak. In the end, 33 questions (31 GSS-QWL and 2 GSS) were chosen as the least, but best validated core questions and included in a new short standard questionnaire (called the Healthy Work Survey [HWS]). And their national norms were established for comparisons. Furthermore, based on the literature review, fifteen more questions for assessing other significant work organization hazards (e.g., lack of scheduling control, emotional demands, electronic surveillance, wage theft) were included in the new questionnaire. Thus, the HWS includes 48 questions in total for assessing traditional and emerging work organization hazards, which covers seven theoretical domains: work schedule/arrangement, control, support, reward, demands, safety, and justice. Conclusions: The HWS is a short standard questionnaire for assessing work organization hazards which can be used as a first step toward the risk management of major work organization hazards in the workplaces of the US.
