한국 성인의 생애주기별 자살생각의 위험요인: 한국 사회·심리적 불안 조사 (Risk Factors for Suicidal Ideation across the Life Cycle among Korean Adults: Korean Psycho-social Anxiety Survey)

  • Purpose: To identify the risk factors for suicidal ideation across the life cycle among Korean adults using data from 2015 Korean Psycho-social Anxiety Survey. Methods: The data were statistically analyzed using hierarchical logistic regression analysis. Results: The factors associated with suicidal ideation among the young adult group were education level (odds ratio [OR] 1.62, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.05~2.49), self-esteem (OR 1.19, 95% CI 1.12~1.27), stress (OR 3.26, 95% CI 2.07~5.15), anger control problems (OR 3.58, 95% CI 2.34~5.50), and depression (OR 2.59, 95% CI 1.66~4.04) whereas among the middle-aged adults the factors were education level (OR 1.58, 95% CI 1.12~2.23), existence of a spouse (OR 2.55, 95% CI 1.72~3.78), self-esteem (OR 1.13, 95% CI 1.08~1.18), stress (OR 2.46, 95% CI 1.81~3.33), anger control problems (OR 1.70, 95% CI 1.22~2.36), and depression (OR 2.64, 95% CI 1.91~3.64). Among the older adult group the findings were the existence of a spouse (OR 2.16, 95% CI 1.37~3.39), self-esteem (OR 1.22, 95% CI 1.13~1.32), stress (OR 2.21, 95% CI 1.38~3.54), anxiety (OR 2.42, 95% CI 1.46~4.02), and depression (OR 2.48, 95% CI 1.30~4.72). Conclusion: The findings suggest that there may be a need for different suicide intervention programs to decrease suicidal ideation across the life cycle.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and validate of mentoring-function scale for college students. This research collected preliminary data from 219 college students' responses for item and scale quality analyses, and collected 289 college students' for item and scale quality analyses. Data were analyzed to obtain item quality, reliability, and validity analysis. The results of this study were as follows; The mentoring-function scale was defined by 4 factors. The 4 factors were 'psycho-soical', 'career-development', 'role-modeling', 'friendship'. Criterion-related validity evidence was obtained from the correlation analysis as the criterion measures.

온라인 창의성 교육에 있어 학습 환경과 교육 프로그램의 특성에 관한 실증연구 (Experimental Investigation of the Effects of Learning Environment and The Nature of Educational Program on the Outcome of Creativity Training)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of computer-based creativity training. Four groups of vocational high school students totaling 151 were used as experimental subjects. Two dimensions of treatment were designed. One treatment dimension is the use of computer medium in education: computer based vs. paper-pencil setting of education. The second treatment dimension is the method of creativity training: technique-oriented training program vs. factor-oriented training program. Both a pretest and a post-test were administered to all participated students. The tests were composed of a Creative Figural Test and a Creative Product Test. After the pretest 8 sessions of creative training were delivered as intended in the design of the experiment. The Dost-test was arranged a week after the completion of the training sessions. The results of the study include: First, all the 4 groups showed certain amount of improvements in their scores of Creative Figural Test, while no improvements was observed in the creative product test score. Second, the technique-oriented creativity training was more effective than the factor-oriented under the context of computer-based education, and the factor-oriented training was more effective in the paper-pencil setting. The results suggest that different pedagogical approaches should be employed for computer-based training as compared to the paper-pencil education.

산업장 안전보건교육 관리요인 (Management Factors Associated with Health and Safety Education in Korean Manufacturing Companies)

  • Objectives: Safety is a primary health promotion issue in worksite because injury induces multi-fold loss of the human and economic resources to profit organization. The purposes of this study were to describe worksite health and safety education and management status in Korean manufacturing companies. Methods: The original population size of Korean manufacturing industry in 2004 was 74,398 and 2,960 factories were selected by the multiple stratified sampling method for this study. The health and safety manager or representatives of the selected 2,960 companies successfully finished in the face-to-face interview survey about company's general characteristics, health and safety management style, health and safety education hours conducted by the Korean Occupational Safety and Health Agency. Results: The manufacturing companies in Seoul and Kyunggi areas, small size, and clothes and press industries were related to low health and safety management and education status. The companies which assigned at least one safety manager were 70.5% and which had a health and safety room within the company were only 9.3%. The companies which took the health and safety education for their regular blue-collar employees more than the legal education hours were under 56.1% and the percentage of the companies which took their health and safety education for newcomers less than the legal limits was lower than any other types of health and safety education in workplace. The significant strong workplace health and safety management variables in predicting employee health and safety education were psycho-social variables such as the company own health and safety regulation and the workplace health and safety management committee organization. rather than physical variables such as health manager employment, safety manager employment. Conclusions: Systematic and legal approaches are effective to encourage workplace health and safety education, specifically, through sustaining health and safety managers and building the company-wide health and safety management system. Furthermore, theses approaches should primarily focus on the small companies of which sizes were under 50.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the degree of socialization of household work and to analyze the influence of demographic and psycho-social variable on socialization of household work. For the purpose of this study, questionnaires were administrated to 314 housewives in Pusan. For the statistical analysis were as follows; 1)The degree of socialization in the domain of food showed significant difference by number of family, number of children, housewife's age, housewife's education, husband's education, income and sex-role attitude. The degree of socialization in the domain of housing showed significant difference by family pattern, housewife's education, husband's education, state of housewife employment. husband's occupation , income and sex-role attitude. The degree of socialization in the domain of clothing showed significant difference by housewife's age, housewife's education, husband's education , state of housewife employment. husband's occupation, income and sex-role attitude. The degree of socialization in the domain of family management showed significant difference by number of children, housewife's age. state of housewife employment, income, period of marriage life and sex-role attitude. The degree of socialization in the domain of home management showed significant difference by housewife's education, husband's occupation, sex-role attitude and share of household work. 2) The socialization in the domain of food was influenced husband's education, income, housewife's education and sex-role attitude. The socialization in the domain of housing was influenced husband's education, income, housewife's occupation and sex-role attitude. 장애인 고용의 결정변인: 연령집단별 차이를 중심으로 (Determinants for the Employment of the Disabled: Focusing on Differences by Age Group)

  • 본 연구는 장애인 고용의 결정변인에 관한 선행연구가 심리적 특성이 고용에 미치는 영향을 배제했으며, 생의 단계에 따른 고용 결정변인의 차이를 고려하지 못했다는 문제의식으로부터 출발했다. 이와 같은 문제의식에서 본 연구는 첫째, 선행연구에서 고용의 주요 영향요인으로 규명되어 온 인적자본과 함께 심리적 특성을 중심으로 장애인 고용의 결정변인을 규명하고 둘째, 연령집단에 따라 장애인 고용의 결정변인에 어떤 차이가 있는지 밝히고자 했다. 한국복지패널 5차년 자료의 장애인부가조사에 참여한 18세 이상 장애인 1280명의 자료를 이용해 이항로지스틱 분석을 수행했다. 분석결과, 18세에서 40세 이하의 청장년 장애인은 차별을 받은 심리적 경험만이 고용가능성을 유의미하게 낮추었으며, 교육 등 인적자본은 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 41세 이상 64세 이하의 중년 장애인은 교육수준이 낮고, 건강상태는 높으며, 근로능력이 높을수록 고용 가능성이 유의미하게 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 65세 이상의 노년 장애인은 근로능력만이 고용가능성을 유의미하게 결정하는 것으로 분석되었다.

가임여성에서 식행동 변화단계에 따른 식생활 요인 분석 (Analyses on the Factors Related to Stages of Dietary Behavioral Changes among Child Bearing Aged Women)

  • This study examined the factors related to stages of dietary behavioral changes among 1449 child bearing aged women (mean age $\pm$ SD = 25.6 $\pm$ 5.3 years) residing in large cities. A self administered questionnaire was used to assess stages of dietary behavioral change, meal balance and regularity, food availability, nutrition knowledge, body mass index, nutrient intake, and psycho-social factors including self efficacy, perceived benefits and barriers, social modeling. Undesirable dietary behaviors (precontemplation and contemplation) were shown among 45.1-57.4% of the participants, among those, 33.4-43.0% were precontemplators. Participants' self efficacy scores associated with dietary changes were higher in specific situations (3.42) as compared to general situations (2.86). Similarly, they appeared to perceive more benefits (3.86) rather than barriers (2.76) by changing their inappropriate eating habits. Perception and accuracy scores of nutrition knowledge were relatively high, indicating 90.9 and 80.1, respectively. In terms of food availability at home, fresh fruits received the highest score, followed by milk and milk products, vegetables, meat, alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. In social modeling assessment, family members, as compared to friends, appeared to have better dietary habits. Stages of dietary behavioral change assessed in terms of meal regularity were associated with nutrient intake, showing higher energy and carbohydrate intakes but lower fat intake among those who belonged to the action and maintenance stage. They also presented higher self efficacy and perceived more benefits and less barriers regarding the change of undesirable eating habits. Fresh meat and vegetables were more available among those maintaining desirable dietary habits. Results of this study presented the significant relations of motivational and reinforcing social factors with stages of dietary behavioral changes and a need for the development of tailored nutrition education program considering these factors for child-bearing aged Korean women.

유방암 관련 국내 간호연구 동향 (Analysis of Nursing Research Trend Associated with Breast Cancer in Korea)

  • Purpose: This study was attempted to see the trends in breast cancer researches in Korea. Method: We collected a total of 94 articles associated with breast cancer and published in Korea from 1976 to August 2004 and analyzed the characteristics of those articles, the journals which published those articles in each year, the research designs, subjects, intervention effects in experimental studies, the subjects and concept distribution in comparative researches and themes of the articles. Result: 1. Articles published and associated with breast cancer have increased since 1990 and picked after 2000. 2. Most research designs are survey and correlation studies which are non-experimental research(70.2%) and next are experimental and qualitative researches. 3. In a total 17 articles which are experimental researches, intervention studies which use exercise programs are most(5 articles) and the next are education program, supportive nursing intervention, guided imagery, massage and rehabilitation programs. 4. In correlational researches, concepts such like social-psychological adaptation, partner support, health promotion behavior and family support are treated frequently. 5. Subjects in most comparative studies are patients with breast cancer and normal women. 6. Most nursing research themes are psycho/spiritual problems, 16 articles(17.0%). Conclusion: These results show that the researches related with breast cancer have actively increased and body functions and psycho-social variables have been improved through nursing intervention. Therefore, it seems that more systematic interdisciplinary studies and systematic complement are necessary for future breast cancer nursing researches.

유방암 환자에 대한 심리교육 집단개입의 효과 (A Pychoeducational Group Intervention for Women with Primary Breast Carcinoma)

  • 우리나라에서 유방암은 여성암 중 두 번째를 차지하고 있고, 점차 증가하고 있으며 이들의 심리사회적 적응에 대한 욕구와 관심이 증대되고 있음에도 불구하고 아직 우리나라에서 유방암 환자들의 심리사회적 후유증을 감소시키기 위한 개입은 이루어지지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 유방암 환자를 대상으로 서구에서 주로 실시되어 왔던 심리교육 집단개입이 우리나라에서도 심리적 디스트레스를 감소시키고 대처를 증진시킴으로써 심리사회적 후유증을 감소시키는데 효과가 있는지를 평가하고 이에 대한 합의를 논하는데 목적을 두었다. 유방암 수술을 받은 지 1년이 경과하지 않은 환자들 중 유방암 병기가 3기 B이상이거나 70세 이상의 환자, 거동이 불편한 환자, 지리적으로 참석이 불가능한 환자 등을 제외한 80명의 환자 중 연구에 참여를 희망하는 환자 70명을 실험집단, 대기자 통제집단 및 대기자 집단으로 무작위 할당하였다. 실험집단과 통제집단의 수는 각각 24명이었으며 최종 분석에 포함된 환자 수는 실험집단 22명, 통제집단 13명이었다. 이들에 대해 매 주 특정주제를 중심으로 8주간의 구주화된 집단개입을 실시하였으며, 프로그램은 교육과 심리적 지지를 결합한 심리교육적 전략을 사용하였다. 대상자들은 심리적 디스트레스와 대처에 대해 Beck Depression Inventory와 Ways of Coping Checklist-Revised(WCCL-R)를 실시하여 집단개입 전과 8주 후에 각각 평가하였다. 분석결과 실험집단은 통제집단에 비해 집단 개입 이후 BDI상에 나타난 우울에 대해서는 유의미하게 낮은 점수를 보였지만(p<.05). 대처에 대해서는 총점에서나 하위척도 상으로 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 연구결과와 관련하여 집단의 크기, 프로그램의 내용, 수술 후 경가 시기 등이 논의되었다. 몇 가지 한계에도 불구하고 본 연구는 우리나라에서도 단기 심리교육 집단개입이 유방암 환자들의 수술 후 심리사회적 후유증을 줄이고 삶의 질을 증진시키는 중요한 방법으로 활용될 수 있는 가능성을 보여주었다고 할 수 있다.

유해환경 (Harmful Environments)

  • This study reviews facts and trends of harmful environments in the last decade that negatively affected children's development. Younger children have been exposed to harmful media, drugs, facilities, and objects. A matter of chemical substances contaminating in-door air has become quite controversial, recently. In order to provide a better understanding of harmful environments against children, there are great needs for a survey covering all ages based on the clear definition of the term harmful environments, research identifying its causal effects on child development in the context of both parent-child and peer relationships, and a longitudinal study processing its effects in a life-span perspective. It is suggested that by providing parent education and a plenty of cultural facilities as social efforts to create sound family culture, psycho-social and physical environments of children are improved. Furthermore, legal regulations and supervision on harmful environments are needed to be strengthened.
