  • Current IT Tools for construction project have been developing to satisfy the requirements of improving productivity and quality. Especially, the critical technology of the construction IT tools is the BIM (Building Information Modeling) which integrates and controls the construction information by modeling the structures in the virtual environment. Many domestic studies have been performed for developing various BIM tools and these have been demonstrated through a successful case study. However, because of the most studies focused on architecture and major construction firms, small construction firms are very difficult to utilize a BIM tool without a verification of it. To resolve these problems, this study suggests performance indicators to quantitatively assess the utilization of 4D CAD which is one of the representative BIM tools by BSC (Balanced Score Card). This performance indicator will be used as a measurement for applying IT tools in Construction Project.

  • As the on-board electric devices determine the performances of vehicles, production of reliable devices is important. To keep the reliability of devices constant, management of performance evaluation of the on-board devices is crucial. Because temperature has a serious effect on failures of the components of the devices, its measurement is the first step for good management. In this study, we described performance characteristics of domestic auxiliary block developed through G7 project. We measured the performances of auxiliary block during test running by the developed on-line measurement system. After we save the input real-time data from each signal of Korean High Speed Train through the network line, we can acquire necessary information through post-processing program. We verify the motor block characteristics of Korean High Speed Train by this system.

  • Project managers' leadership in construction projects significantly influence project performance and outcomes. However, due to its conceptual and quantitative nature, leadership is a subject which is difficult to be evaluated or measured despite of the benefits of its measurement. The objective is this paper to apply the LBDQ technique in evaluating project managers' leadership and discuss outcomes through a pilot test.

  • Naval ships are complex weapon systems which play the integrated performance by system integration of many kinds of weapon systems and their leading ships are usually not disposed after test and evaluation but militarised. Then, strict project management is required for naval ship building projects by identifying problems early and by taking prefer measures in time against unexpected situations encountered in the process of the projects. EVMS is a project management system which can manage the schedule and the budget of a project concurrently and estimate the project's time duration and the cost at project completion. In this paper, the applicability and usefulness of WMS is studied for a assumed navai ship building project, in the environment of monetary fluctuations such as price index, wage increase rate and exchange rate.

  • Social infrastructure is the basis of public welfare and should be recognized and managed as important assets. Bridge is one of the most important infrastructures to be managed systematically because the impact of the failure is critical. It is essential to monitor the performance of bridges in order to manage them as an asset. But current analytical methods such as predictive modeling and structural analysis are very complicated and difficult to use in practice. To apply these methods, structural and material condition data collection should be performed in each element of bridge. But it is difficult to collect these detailed data in large numbers and various kinds of bridges. Therefore, it is necessary to collect data of major measurement items and predict the life of bridges roughly with advanced information technologies. When certain measurement items reach predefined limits in the monitoring bridges, precise performance measurement will be done by detailed site measurement. This paper describes the selection of major measurement items that can represent the tendency of bridge life and introduces automated bridge data collection test-bed using wireless sensor network technology. The following will be major parts of this paper: 1) Examining the features of conventional bridge management system and data collection method 2) Mileage concept as a bridge life indicator and measuring method of the indicator 3) Test-bed of automated and real-time based bridge life indicator monitoring system using wireless sensor network

  • Due to the spread of COVID-19, it is rapidly changing from face-to-face to non-face-to-face work environments and is changing to a digital work environment that can be accessed anytime, anywhere, providing convenience to all lives. However, the number of breaches, personal information leakage, and technology leakage targeting SMEs that are vulnerable to security continues to increase. Accordingly, the government has been continuously promoting the information security consulting support project for SMEs every year since 2014. Therefore, this study intends to develop a performance model and measurement methodology for continuous and more systematic support and efficient management of information protection support projects in consideration of the importance of information security for SMEs. It is intended to be used as basic data when setting future operational directions and goals. The main method of this study is to derive performance models and indicators for SME information security support projects based on domestic literature, case studies, and survey results, utilize expert advice to verify the developed performance measurement indicators, and use pilot-test questionnaires. Conduct evaluation through surveys. Based on the verified indicators, we would like to present a performance model and measurement index for the information security support project for SMEs.

  • The risk in the constructions projects is extremely diverse because there are too many indefinite factors. Therefore, Performance Measurement Baseline(PMB) is needed regularly during the construction process. However, nowdays, the PMB in the constructions projects is for contractors' PMB and Performance Management(PM). Clients have a lot of difficulties to control and manage the projects. Therefore, this paper classifies schedule and cost data of the public apartments houses which is a actual cases into types and then conducts regression analysis and deduces a regression. In addition to this paper establishes the Work Breakdown Structure(WBS) and suggests the PMB for the clients through using that.

  • The construction industry has mainly relied on financially focused performance measurements, and studies on performance measurement systems (PMSs) have been carried out at the project level. However, recently, the demand for performance evaluation and management at the company level has increased. A few previous efforts have aimed to develop a conceptual model for company performance, but there have been few follow-up studies. From this perspective, we have developed a web-based performance and informatization measurement system to measure and compare the business performance and the level of informatization of construction companies. Then, we carried out a performance evaluation and system test using the data set of 78 Korean construction companies and identified practical issues for the implementation of our PMS.
