  • 1. Introduction Community medicine with the concept of comprehensive medical care and an ideal medical care delivery system not only for an individual or family but for the whole community has emerged. In April 1970, the Presbyterian Medical Center started a hospital based community health service project in order to improve the health of the people in rural areas. Prior to commencing a comprehensive medical care system, a family survey was needed. The major objective of this survey was to obtain information concerning the people and their environment so as to be able to plan and implement a comprehensive medical care program in Soyang-Myun. 2. Survey Method An interview using a family record form was carried out for each household. This family record form was designed to get information about demography, family planning, environmental sanitation and vital statistics. Prior to beginning, the members of the survey team were trained in interviewing techniques for three days. The team consisted of a public health nurse, four nurse-aides, a sanitarian and four health extension workers who are working in our project, The survey was carried out during the period November 1971 to March 1972. 3. • Purpose: An implant-supported prosthesis consists of an implant fixture, an abutment, an internal screw that connects the abutment to the implant fixture, and the upper prosthesis. Numerous studies have investigated the microorganisms present on the implant surface, surrounding tissues, and the subgingival microflora associated with peri-implantitis. However, there is limited information regarding the microbiome within the internal screw space. In this study, microbial samples were collected from the supragingival surfaces of natural teeth, the peri-implant sulcus, and the implant-abutment screw hole, in order to characterize the microbiome of the internal screw space in healthy subjects. Methods: Samples were obtained from the supragingival region of natural teeth, the peri-implant sulcus, and the implant screw hole in 20 healthy subjects. DNA was extracted, and the V3-V4 region of the 16S ribosomal RNA was sequenced for microbiome analysis. Alpha diversity, beta diversity, linear discriminant analysis effect size (LEfSe), and network analysis were employed to compare the characteristics of the microbiomes. Results: We observed significant differences in beta diversity among the samples. Upon analyzing the significant taxa using LEfSe, the microbial composition of the implant-abutment screw hole's microbiome was found to be similar to that of the other sampling sites' microbiomes. Moreover, the microbiome network analysis revealed a unique network complexity in samples obtained from the implant screw hole compared to those from the other sampling sites. Conclusions: The bacterial composition of the biofilm collected from the implant-abutment screw hole exhibited significant differences compared to the supra-structure of the implant. Therefore, long-term monitoring and management of not only the peri-implant tissue but also the implant screw are necessary.

  • The kinetic energy of the rain drops was predicted in a relation between the rain rate and rain quantity, derived directly from the rain drop size distribution (DSD), which had been measured by a disdrometer located in the eastern state of Alagoas-Brazil. The equation in the form of exponential form suppressed the effects of large drops at low rainfall intensity observed at the beginning and end of the rainfall. The kinetic energy of the raindrop was underestimated in almost rain intensity ranges and was considered acceptable by the performance indicators such as coefficient of determination, average absolute error, percent relative error, mean absolute error, root mean square error, Willmott's concordance index and confidence index.

  • Due to rapid and reckless economic development, natural resources of the national land have been damaged and polluted. Accordingly, the necessity for environment-friendly development has been on the rise and many have made efforts to assess the environmental value of the national land. This study divides the conservation areas by means of using relative elevation, slope, and development of housing land based on environmental evaluation of the national land. The relative elevation is obtained by the difference of altitude at the edge of the forest patch extracted from the land cover classification map based on the ridgeline, and the slope is obtained by environment-oriented land suitability analysis. The development of housing land is classified in accordance with the progress of each project. Twenty-six evaluation criteria are divided into five different grades using the minimal indicator approach and then sub-divided into ten grades by means of using the following two scenarios. The first one uses the weight of input materials while the second one relies on the size of patches that are emphasized in landscape ecology. Consequently, such a study demonstrated the following results. The method relying on the weight of input materials revealed the limitation of emphasizing input materials excessively, whereas the method of considering the size of patches resulted in the division of conservation areas that embody regional characteristics. This study is meaningful in that it classifies the conservation areas by reflecting the regional characteristics and the ecological values of animals and plants.

  • To reduce the size of structural members, high strength concrete has recently been utilized for structure such as ultra-high-rise buildings and prestressed concrete bridges in North America, and its compressive strength has gone up to 1300kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$. In Japan, research on high-strength concrete has been undertaken on a large scale by the national enterprise so-called New RC Project. And high-strength concrete with a design compressive strength over 450kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ has recently been employed for high rised reinforced concrete building. As a result of the serious land availability situation of metropolitan areas in the world, buildings will become taller, and even higher strengths will be required. In the future, the utilization of high-strength concrete will spread widely through the development of new structural concepts, application of steels of a higher yield stress, silica fume, and other new materials. Considering these circumstance, the aim of this experimental study is to develop ultra-high-strength concrete with compressive strength over 1800kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ with domestic current materials. There are so many factors which influence the manufacturing of ultra-high-strength concrete. The experimental factors selected in this study are mixing methods, curing methods, water-binder ratio, maximum size of coarse by silica fume. The results of this experimental study show that it is possible to develop the ultra-high-strength concrete with compressive strength over 1700kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at 28days, 1800kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at 56 days.

  • Resilience is the capacity to maintain essential services under a range of circumstances from normal to extreme. It is achieved through the ability of assets, networks, systems and management to anticipate, absorb and recover from disturbance. It requires adaptive capacity in respect of current and future risks and uncertainties as well as experience to date. The agricultural infrastructures with high resilience can not only reduce the size of the disaster relatively, but also minimize the loss by reducing the time required for recovery. This study aims to evaluate the most suitable drought countermeasures with the analysis of various resilience indices by predicting future agricultural water shortage under land use and climate change scenarios for agricultural areas in Jeju Island. The results showed that the permanent countermeasure is suitable than the temporary countermeasures as drought size and the cost required for recovery increase. Wide-area water supply system, which is a kind of water grid system, is identified as the most advantageous among countermeasures. It is recommended to evaluate the capability of agricultural infrastructure against drought with the various Resilience Indices for reliable assessment of long-term effect.

  • Garole, a prolific small sized sheep breed of West Bengal, was introduced in the Mutton project of the Institute in 1997 to explore the possibility of incorporating fecundity gene(s) into monotocus Malpura sheep of Rajasthan. Results of reproduction and production traits in respect of Garole${\times}$Malpura (G${\times}$M) half-breds have been obtained. Of 35 lambing obtained so far from the ewes of Garole${\times}$Malpura, 45.71% were twin lambing, whereas, Malpura sheep produced mostly single lamb except 2.55% twin lambing on an average. Other reproduction traits in G${\times}$M ewes such as lambing rate, litter size at birth and weaning were considerably improved over Malpura ewes. Results revealed that the fecundity genes responsible for increasing ovulation rate and litter size have been incorporated in to the G${\times}$M genotype and it might prove a valuable germ plasm towards evolving a new prolific strain of sheep. Interestingly, survivability of G${\times}$M half-breds was almost at par with the local Malpura sheep in harsh climatic conditions of semi-arid tropics. The body weights at different ages of G${\times}$M half-breds were on little lower side compared to contemporary Malpura lambs. Average kilogram of lambs weaned/ewe lambed in Malpura and G${\times}$M genetic group was 11.86 and 11.07 kg respectively. In view of minimizing the differences in body weights and kg of lambs weaned/ewe lambed between the two genetic groups, G${\times}$M ewes has to be backcrossed with Malpura rams to raise the inheritance of latter up to 75% level. However, further research is needed to reach on certain conclusions regarding net returns from such crosses.

  • Recently, there has been continued research on UCP from the development effort estimation method to a software development project applying object oriented development methodology. Current research proposes a linear model estimating the developmenteffort by multiplying a constant to AUCP which applies technical and environmental factors. However, the fact that a non-linear regression model is more appropriate as the software size increases, the development period increases exponentially. In addition, in the UCP calculation process the occurrence of FP errors due to the application of TCF and EF, it is unrealistic to estimate the size with AUCP. This paper presents the issue of current research based on UCP without considering problems of the research, for example, TCF and EF and expresses the models (linear, logarithmic, polynomial, power and exponential type) estimating the development effort directly from UUCP. Consequently, the exponential model within non-linear models exhibit more accurate results than the current linear model. Therefore, after calculating the UUCP of the developing software system, using the proposed model to estimate the development effort, it is possible to estimate the direct cost required in development.

  • Packet classification is an important factor to support various services such as QoS guarantee and VPN for users in Internet. Packet classification is a searching process for best matching rule on rule tables by employing multi-field such as source address, protocol, and port number as well as destination address in If header. In this paper, we propose hardware based packet classification algorithm by employing tree bitmap of multi-bit trio. We divided prefixes of searching fields and rule into multi-bit stride, and perform a rule searching with multi-bit of fixed size. The proposed scheme can reduce the access times taking for rule search by employing indexing key in a fixed size of upper bits of rule prefixes. We also employ a marker prefixes in order to remove backtracking during searching a rule. In this paper, we generate two dimensional random rule set of source address and destination address using routing tables provided by IPMA Project, and compare its memory usages and performance.
