Effect of SiO2/ITO Film on Energy Conversion Efficiency of Dye-sensitized Solar Cells

  • Multilayered films of ITO (In2O3:SnO2 = 9:1)/SiO2 were deposited on soda-lime glass by RF/DC magnetron sputtering at 500℃ to improve the energy conversion efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The light absorption of the dye was improved by decrease in light reflectance from the surface of the DSSCs by using an ITO film. In order to estimate the optical characteristics and compare them with experimental results, a simulation program named EMP (essential macleod program) was used. EMP results revealed that the multilayered thin films showed high transmittance (approximate average transmittance of 79%) by adjusting the SiO2 layer thickness. XRD results revealed that the ITO and TiO2 films exhibited a crystalline phase with (400) and (101) preferred orientations at 2 θ = 26.24° and 35.18°, respectively. The photocurrent-voltage (I-V) characteristics of the DSSCs were measured under AM 1.5 and 100 mW/cm2 (1 sun) by using a solar simulator. The DSSC fabricated on the ITO film with a 0.1-nm-thick SiO2 film showed a Voc of 0.697 V, Jsc of 10.596 mA/cm2 , FF of 66.423, and calculated power conversion efficiency (ηAM1.5) of 5.259%, which was the maximum value observed in this study.

  • 본 논문에서는 개정된 로마자 표기법에 일치하는 한글의 로마자 표기 생성을 위한 한글-로마자 표기 변환표의 생성에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 로마자 표기법의 근간이 되는 표준 발음법과 로마자 표기법을 수학적으로 분석하기 위하여 페트리넷 모델을 이용한 자연 언어의 수학적 분석 방법을 도입하였다. 페트리넷 모델을 이용한 분석의 방법으로 한글 로마자 표기 변환 표를 생성하기 위한 방안과 로마자 표기법의 페트리 넷 모델링을 통하여 그 실질적인 예를 보여 한국어의 수학적 모델링 방안과 적용방법을 제시한다. 생성된 한글-로마자 표기 변환표를 검증하기 위하여 윈도우 기반 응용 프로그램을 개발하고 로마자 표기 용례사전의 로마자 표기와 응용 프로그램의 결과를 비교하였다.

Truck Scale 용 Load Cell의 Smart Interface Board 개발 (Development of Smart Interface Board for Truck Scale Load Cell)

  • This paper presents the design of a smart A/D conversion interface used for measuring the load of a truck. Since the load-cell sensor to be used is very sensitive for weight variation, the interface board must have the low-drift and the A/D conversion for accuracy. A new integrator and comparator has been developed to reduce the offset voltage and the drift current of operational amplifiers and has been adapted into the interface board. Also, a software algorithm has been developed to obtain the stable and accrurate A/D conversion. This software includes a RS-485 communication program to control the interface, which gives a capability of backing-up the calibration data and transferring control data. The test and evaluation of the designed interface has been shown as having the better performance compared to the other types of existing weighing systems and sensor instruments.

극저온냉동기 예냉 수소액화기의 기초설계 (Basic design of hydrogen liquefier precooled by cryogenic refirgerator)

  • A thermodynamic cycle analysis is performed for refrigerator-precooled Linde-Hampson hydrogen liquefiers, including catalysts for the ortho-to-para(o-p) conversion. three different configurations of the liquefying system, depending upon the method of the o-p conversion, are selected for the analysis. After some simple and justifiable models are introduced, a general analysis program to predict the liquid yield and the figure of merit(FOM) is developed with incorporating the commercial computer code for the hydrogen properties. The discussion is focused on the effect of the two primary design parameters-the precooling temperature and the high pressrure of hydrogen. When the precooling temperature is in the range between 45 and 60 K, the optimal high pressure for the maximal liquid yield is found to be in the range between 100 to 140 bar, regardless of the o-p conversion. However, the FOM can be maximized at slightly smaller values of high pressures. It is remarkable to observe that the lower precooling temperatures are favorable since both the liquid yield and the FOM can be obtained without compressing hygrogen to extremely high pressures.

폐결핵 수술: 163례 보고 (The Surgery of Pulmonary Tuberculosis: 163 cases experience)

  • With the decreasing incidence of new cases and the highly effective results with antituberculous drug therapy, there is a marked decline in the need for surgery which was formerly such an important part in the successful program of management of this disease. During the period of two years and a half from Jun. 1984 to Dec. 1986, this study represents an analysis of 163 cases of several surgical management for eventual control of pulmonary tuberculosis at National Kon-ju tuberculosis Hospital. 1. Mode of surgical treatment was: Resection; 123 cases [Pneumonectomy: 83, lobectomy: 35, lobectomy plus segmentectomy; 4 segmentectomy: 1], thoracoplasty: 20 and others: 20. 2. Age distribution ranged 16and 68 with average of 34 years. Male and female ratio was 1.2: 1. 3. Surgical indications were: totally destroyed lung; 64, Destroyed lobe of segment; 13, cavity positive sputum; 10, cavity c negative Sputum; 6, Bronchostenosis c atelectasis; 2, empyema c or s BPF; 46, Aspergilloma; 8, Questions of Associated tumor; 4 and other 5. 4. Incidence of Complications was 10.4% and the mortality was 5.5 percent. The cause of mortality were analyzed. The main causes of death were respiratory insufficiency; 4, fulminant hepatitis; 1, hemorrhage; 1 and unknown; 1 in pneumonectomy, and asphyxia; 1 in lobectomy and sepsis; 1 in other procedure. 5. Conversion rare of positive sputum to negative state related to resectional surgery was 91.5%. In pneumonectomy, drug resistant group preoperatively showed 88.1% conversion rate postoperatively and drug sensitive group showed that 100% conversion rate. In lobectomy, both drug resistant and sensitive groups showed that 100% conversion rate postoperatively.

After some simplifying and justifiable assumptions are made, a general analysis program to predict the liquid yield and the figure of merit (FOM) is developed with incorporating the commercial computer code for the thermodynamic properties of hydrogen. The discussion is focused on the effect of the two primary design parameters - the precooling temperature and the high pressure of the cycle. When the precooling temperature is in a range between 45 and 60 K, the optimal high pressure for the maximal liquid yield is found to be about 100 to 140 bar, regardless of the ortho-to-para conversion. However, the FOM can be maximized at slightly lower high pressures, 75 to 130 bar. It is concluded that the good performance of the precooling refrigerator is significant in the liquefiers, because at low precooling temperatures high values of the liquid yield and the FOM can be achieved without compression of gas to a very high pressure.

  • This paper shows the case study of risk analysis in an weapon system research and development project. For risk analysis, an advanced stochastic networking technique-VERT (Venture Evaluation and Review Technique) is used. Assumptions for activities of network diagram and conversion methods from PERT ( Program Evaluation and Review Technique) to VERT are discussed. Also, simulation result is presented and discussed.

  • Because linear motor directly drives linear motion, it does not need conversion equipment such as belt and gear. Especially linear pulse motor provide more precise positioning and large force of linear pulse motors. As current manufacture technic of linear pulse motor is much to be desired at home. This motor lay out to make use of computer aided design program, In this paper the experimental motor is 2-phases 4-poles hybrid pulse motor which has teeth per pole Simulation program is divided its function into 4 parts - air gap permeance analysis, permanent magnet & non-linear core operating point determine, winding configuration, leakage flux analysis. It is possible to make motor static and magnetic characteristics for this simulation program. Also, by varying input parameters of the program, experimental motor is to be compared to motor characteristics.

  • This study is focused on developing a program which can edit different formats of power system data used by system operators PSS/E program, which has been widely used as a tool for power system analysis. Provides only a limited function of editing PSS/E input data. Considering that more and more power system analysers will be developed and applied for power system planning and operation in the near future, unified handling of multi-types of power system data format, such as conversion of one input data format into another, is indispensible. In this paper, a new power system data editor, functionally augmented from PSS/E editor, is introduced. The new editing program was developed in GUI environment for users to conveniently edit input data for EUROSTAG program without running several editors. Considerable savings in time and manpower are expected.

  • There are BOD(Biochemical Oxygen Demand) and COD(Chemical Oxygen Demand) in the date of the water pollution in the pollution analysis, BOD and COD analysis the result of the analysis. The computer developed the program in the analysis. Went by BOD, the relation conversion equation type of COD, the control chart, the standard deviation, and the coefficient of correlation etc.. for the purpose of the development of the program. There is a purpose by which it is what coefficient of correlation in the development of this program or not if the value (X and Y) of unknow is understood. In the future, if this program is applied the utilization to not only the data is analyzed about the water pollution but also a lot of fields is proposed.
