Purpose: Establishing a professional identity is important for nurses in providing quality nursing care and adapting to changing roles in various clinical settings. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of nursing students' academic self-efficacy and clinical practice satisfaction on their professional identity. Methods: A total of 180 nursing students were recruited using convenience sampling from a university in G city in July, 2021. Results: The professional identity scores were higher than the average, and differed significantly according to nurses' academic grade, department satisfaction, interpersonal relations, and subjective health status. Professional identity showed a significant positive correlation with academic self-efficacy (r=.69, p<.001), major satisfaction (r=.72, p<.001), and clinical practice satisfaction (r=.71, p<.001). The factors affecting professional identity were clinical practice satisfaction (ß=.42, p<.001) and academic self-efficacy (ß=.38, p<.001). Conclusion: Our finding suggest that nursing students should be encouraged to develop their professional identity by improving clinical practice satisfaction and academic self-efficacy. Therefore, it is necessary to provide nursing education programs that increase their pride as nurses and establish their professionalism in nursing.

본 연구에서는 한국기술교육대학교가 최근 현장중심의 실무형 인재 양성을 목표로 혁신적으로 추진하고 기업연계형 장기현장실습 (IPP: Industry Professional Practice) 제도의 효율적이고 체계적인 운영 및 관리를 위해 필요한 IPP 전담교수의 역할에 대해 해외 선진국 운영사례 분석 및 실제 IPP 제도 2년간의 운영 경험을 바탕으로 제안한다. IPP 전담교수의 역할은 크게 3가지로 구분된다. 첫 번째는 IPP 관리자로서의 역할이며, 두 번째는 학생들에 대한 진로지도 상담자의 역할이며, 세 번째는 IPP 교육 프로그램에 대한 교육자로서의 역할이다. IPP 제도 시행 초기에는 주로 IPP 관리자로서의 역할이 중요하지만 IPP 제도가 체계적으로 관리되고 운영되면 IPP 관리자로서의 역할은 점차 줄어들고 진로지도 상담자로서의 역할이 더 중요해진다. IPP 제도가 학점을 부여하는 교육 프로그램인 만큼 IPP 전담교수는 경험학습 설계, 교육목표 달성도 평가 등 교육자로서의 역할도 수행해야 한다.

Purpose : The purpose of this study is to present the desirable level of home health care services by identifying the roles and activities by task of home health nursing specialists as well as to raise the level of professionalism in home health care services. Method : This is a methodological study. The roles and activities by task were identified through a review of literature and a state-of-the-practice survey, and were structured into a questionnaire after being reviewed and modified through a consensus of experts. The field survey was conducted on 136 home health nursing specialists at medical institutions, public health centers. public medical institutions, non-governmental organizations, and religious institutions in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province. Incheon, Busan, Daegu, and Gwanggju from June 4 to August 4. 2004. Seven roles. 34 tasks and 130 activities were identified in association with home health nursing specialists. Result : The roles of home health nursing specialists were identified as professional nursing service provider, advisor, educator, administrator, case manager, researcher and leader. Under these roles. 34 tasks and 134 task-specific activities were identified. Conclusion : The the roles and activities of home health nursing specialist identified in this study can be used in various home health care settings. These the roles and activities should provide the evaluation criteria of home health care services for institutions with existing home health care programs. An evaluation tool should be developed in order to ensure the hish quality of home health care services.

It is undeniable that teachers play the principal roles in education. This is why education and professional development of teachers are so important. Some of recent works have made this fact clearer. In America, in particular, many reports and research papers have recently been published on these problems. In this paper, we first introduce briefly the current system of education, employment, and professional development of mathematics teachers in Korea. And then we mention a research project on education of mathematics teachers. The final report of the project contains some suggestions for curriculums of the department for education of mathematics teachers. We describe one example of extended syllabus which implements those suggestions. The example is on Modern Algebra I.

The purpose of this article is to suggest using portfolio for professional development of secondary pre-service mathematics teachers based on actual application case. To achieve this goal, 28 pre-service mathematics teachers developed their own portfolios in the regular study course for one semester under the pre-planned components of portfolio. Then they participated in the survey of their beliefs in mathematics and mathematics education and in the structured interview for drawing implications of using a pre-service mathematics teacher portfolio. According to the collected data, developing a pre-service mathematics teacher portfolio made a significant difference in beliefs of mathematics teachers' roles and showed the potential to improve the professional development of pre-service mathematics teachers as well as their learning. Continued investigation for more effective components of a pre-service mathematics teacher portfolio would be needed.

이 글의 목적은 전문직의 정체성, 이른바 프로페셔널리즘(전문직업주의, professionalism)을 심도 있게 규명함으로써 통합적 관점에서의 전문직윤리의 중요성을 살피는 것이다. 구체적으로는 프로페셔널리즘에서 전문직윤리로 이행하는 과정에서 규범적 필요성을 강조함으로써 우리 사회에 적실한 전문직윤리의 가능성을 살펴볼 것이다. 해당 전문직종사자 간의 피할 수 없는 생존경쟁이 격화되고 있는 현실에서, 이른바 전문직의 희소가치가 감소 추세에 있는 오늘의 상황에서 프로페셔널리즘과 전문직윤리는 어떤 의미를 지니는가? 직업적 영향력과 경제적 보상이 전문직의 권력(professional power)을 구성하는 가장 큰 요소라고 할 때, 그 권력이 뚜렷하게 약화되고 있는 지금의 상황은 과연 통상적인 윤리(ordinary Morality)의 수준을 넘어서는 전문직윤리의 가능성을 확보할 수 있는가? 이 글은 전문직윤리를 통합적으로 다루면서 이러한 질문에 대한 답변의 실마리를 찾아볼 것이다.

Each roles of school community members as principals, assistant principals, head teachers, teachers, parents of pupils, and persons of regional society by questionnaire method. The opinions of 805 subjects of school members in Pusan city by stratified random sampling are analyzed. The results of analysis are as follows : The major roles of principals in school community are considered as (1) converging various schools members' opinions and reflecting them to school management (2) setting manifest educational goals of school and projecting visions of school development in the future (3) managing efficient, rational school. The major roles of assistant principals in school community are defined as (1) mediating and co-ordinating relation between principal and teachers (2) combing and harmonizing school members (3) dividing and co-ordinating school members' roles. The major roles of head teachers are defined as (1) driving departmental services and acting teaches' professional competency (2) mediating relation between school managers and teachers (3) converging teachers' opinions, delivering and reflecting them to the school managers. The major roles of teachers are defined as (1) supporting pupils' growth (2) completing teaching-learning activities (3) devoting pupul discipline. The major roles of pupils in school community are (1) believing schooling and teachers (2) self-initiative, positive learning activities (3) comprehending, caring, co-operating others. major roles of parents of pupils in school community are (1) believing schooling and teachers (2) The participating schooling (3) supporting schooling. The major roles of persons of regional community in school community are defined as (1) concerning and believing schooling (2) supporting and co-operating schooling (3) comprehending and loving schooling.

National health promotion services are any planned combination of comprehensive and specific services to help people to achieve and maintain health. The purpose of the service activities is to identify health needs, to obtain information and resources and to achieve change of individuals, families, groups, or entire communities. It also includes environmental support of social, political, economic, and organizational policy and regulatory arrangements bearing on behavior or more directly on health. To be most effective, the service must be planned and delivered by health professional. Therefore, the aim of this study has been to develop a health professional training program for national health promotion. The specific aims of this study were: 1) to clarify the roles, responsibilities and competencies of health promotion practitioners; 2) to help health promotion practitioners to get the knowledge, skills, and abilities for any heath promotion project or program that seeks to improve health; 3) to help health promotion practitioners to acquire the skills and abilities to encourage people to participate in the health promotion project, to access the health needs and available community resources, and develop community-wide health promotion program strategies. The health professional training program developed in this study included factors affecting education, the demands of training program and roles and responsibilities of health promotion practitioners. This study also developed the curriculum for health promotion practitioners. The curriculum had six topics: 1) government's health promotion policies and projects or programs; 2) health management and plan; 3) recent health issues and future perspectives; 4) data on various health status indices; 5) strategies to implement health promotion projects or programs; and 6) introduction of some effective and comprehensive health promotion projects or programs.

Objectives: We classified items required for dental hygienists' ethics training by domains. We administered a survey on experts using the Delphi method to collect opinions for guiding future trainings. Methods: 33 participants were selected and analyzed using the Delphi method thrice. Results: For relationships with patients, the item "1.3.1.1 I can keep the confidentiality of the information obtained from patients, including mature minors, related to their specific disease and treatment during medical care as well as other personal information of the patients." had the highest mean value (mean=4.88). For medical and social relations, "2.3.2.2 I can understand how staff provide dental services as a team and explain a dental hygienist's roles and responsibilities that enable a team to function effectively." had the highest mean value (mean=4.85). For individual specialized fields, "3.1.1.1 I can explain the roles and responsibilities in public health of individuals, the public, the state and professional dental hygienist." showed the highest mean value (mean=4.82). Conclusions: We identified 3 categories, 14 sub-categories, and 53 items on the scope of training and standards for ethical competencies for practical applications in professional ethics training of dental hygienists.

The purpose of this study is to predict the roles of public social workers and clarify their job. There were a few studies concerning them, and they suggested that it was needed to reform the delivery system or to supplement personnel. But they were almost normative. This study, based on the literature, analyzed public social workers' daily works to suggest their desirable roles. Generally the job of public social workers consists of two functions. One is income maintenance function, the other is social services function concerned with economically disadvantaged. The result showed that these functions were meshed up to now. Especially, It also showed that although they performed mostly eligibility work related public assistance and general practices, they wanted to perform professional practices. Took into account their working conditions, it seemed to be desirable to clarify their job. Thus, several suggestions based on these results are as follows: First, while eligibility functions are the central aspects of the public social worker's roles, it is needed for them to provide selected access services. Second, if they wanted to perform social services, it would be needed to restrict their roles for case manager and broker.
