A survey was conducted using convenience sampling of professional male and female fashion models at fashion venues (Dongdaemoon Design Plaza) and model agencies from March 2, 2017 through April 10, 2017. A total of 248 questionnaires were obtained and SPSS 21.0 was used for data analysis. The results of this study are as follows. Secondly, movement meaning, expressive impulse, and individuality had positive impacts on behavioral commitment. A model's expressive impulse was also found to have a positive impact on cognitive commitment. In addition, acting ability negatively impacted behavioral commitment, while it affected cognitive commitment positively. Third, a high level of psychological and physical confidences about fashion shows, as well as a high level of behavioral and cognitive commitment, had a positive impact on fashion-show satisfaction. There were significant differences in cognitive commitment and fashion-show satisfaction by frequency of fashion show experiences. The findings can be utilized to understand the psychological factors that affect a fashion model's performance in order to increase the model's fashion-show satisfaction. • This study uses a structural equation model for the turnover intention of female nurses performing shift work at a tertiary hospital. Data collection was conducted from November 11 to December 20, 2015, and 283 samples were included in the final analysis. As a result, 12 of the 19 hypotheses of the final model were supported. It was confirmed that external employment opportunities, nursing professional value, nursing organizational culture, job stress, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and burn out accounted for 47.8% of the turnover intention. Burn out(+) and organizational commitment(-)had direct effects on turnover intentions, and nursing professional, relationship-oriented nursing organizational culture, and job stress showed indirect effects. Therefore, in order to reduce the turnover intention of female nurses working in shifts at tertiary hospitals, it is necessary to prevent burnout, increase organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. For this purpose, measures to strengthen relation-oriented nursing organizational culture and nursing professional intuition are required. In terms of hospital manpower management, the institutional arrangements of hospitals that enable flexible working hours adjustment, mutually respectful relationship-centered organizational culture, education, and policy support to reinforce nursing professional intuition, and the institutional system of hospitals to work with pride should be implemented.

  • The effective management of R&D employees is critical for a small or medium sized firm's sustainable growth. R&D employees have professional skills and choose expertise-oriented or management-oriented careers in the process of organizational socialization. This study synthetically verifies the direct and indirect effects of R&D employees' social network and self-esteem on their career orientation by organizational commitment based on social network theory and social recognition theory. The research model has been analyzed through structural equation modeling using survey responses from 220 R&D employees at small- and medium-sized firms in Korea. The analysis results show that internal network activities have direct and indirect impacts on organizational commitment and career orientation, but external network activities do not have significant effects on self-esteem, organizational commitment, or career orientation. There is no consensus in prior studies on whether expert orientation and management orientation are distinct concepts. In this study, these two types of orientation are verified as distinct concepts. It is also found that R&D employees' internal network activities are significant factors for a company's growth. A company should implement an educational system of roles and duties using which individuals can pursue career progression. In addition, it is necessary to provide career development programs such as job rotation, mentoring, and career counseling.
