  • In this paper, we propose an analysis of the sound source of virtual orchestral music in detail by using the production technology of sampling and playback, and technical experiments and verification for the most advanced Hollywood Library series of timbre and the timbre production and control technology of Vienna instrument Pro and other softwares, to find their solutions and come up with the best timbre production method for orchestral music from the perspective of the specific design ideas of the productions of virtual orchestral instruments. The so-called virtual orchestral instruments are non-real orchestral instruments, which are based on the imitation of timbre of real orchestral instruments, processed and synthesized through the scientific and technological means, and produced by the use of electronic equipments or computers. The study of virtual timbre production technology is very important, and it is like the study of composers' creative techniques. Not only scientific and advanced timbre production methods can be obtained from the study, but also new ways of future timbre production are expected to be explored.

  • We report how to establish the dynamic index for production control in a pilot fabrication over versatile and diverse production environments. We used dynamic index provided by a simulation model to monitor production performance. When production control is abnormal, the information system prompts administrators to classify these abnormal situations. In addition, the trend over the operation index is continuously reviewed in short-term and long-term. This simulation model is handy at setting goal for a versatile and diverse pilot production fab.

  • This study deals with the improvement of production process on a flow production system with the consideration of six sigma. We analyze the production process and survey the important factors of improvement of productivity. Using a six sigma, we find strategic point and suggest a reformation of production process. We applied a simulation technique to simulate the production line proposed by the result of the Six sigma. With the result of the simulation, this study analyzes the propriety of production line and proposes the alternatives of new production process.

  • Distributions of residual stress in diffusion bonding of dissimilar materials intermetallics TiAl to steel 40Cr were simulated by FEM calculation. Results showed that destructive residual stresses presented in the minute area adjacent to bond-line of the base material with smaller coefficient of thermal expansion. Reducing bonding temperature and diminishing bonding time are in favor of the mollification of interface tresses.

  • Hydrogen is clean and renewable and is recognized as a very promising energy to solve both depletion of petroleum resource and environmental problems caused by use of fossil fuels. Extensive researches have been performed worldwide on the production technologies of hydrogen. In this paper, characteristics of hydrogen production technologies were analyzed from the literature survey. Also, The technology trend of hydrogen production was scrutinized based on patent analysis. In patent analysis the search range was limited to the open patents issued from 1996 to 2005. Patents were gathered by using the key-words searching method and filtered by desirable filtering criteria. The technology trend of hydrogen production was discussed by classifying each patent based on the publishing year, country, and company, and the type of production technology.

  • This work evaluates the effect of different amino acids on production of Cyclosporin (CyA) production in solid-state fermentation that was previously optimized for different fermentation parameters by one factor at-a-time for the maximum production of CyA by Tolypocladium inflatum MTCC557. Based on the Plackett-Burman design, glycerol, ammonium sulfate, $FeCl_3$, and inoculum size were selected for further optimization by response surface methodology (RSM). After identifying effective nutrients, RSM was used to develop mathematical model equations, study responses, and establish the optimum concentrations of the key nutrients for higher CyA production. It was observed that supplementation of medium containing (% w/w) glycerol, 1.53; ammonium sulfate, 0.95; $FeCl_3$, 0.18; and inoculum size 6.4 ml/5g yielded a maximum of 7,106 mg/kg as compared with 6,480 mg CyA/kg substrate using one factor at-a-time. In the second step, the effect of amino acids on the production of CyA was studied. Addition of $_L$-valine and $_L$-leucine in combination after 20 h of fermentation resulted in maximum production of 8,166 mg/kg.
