  • It was attempted to develop an auto part by over molding injection mold that produces precision products in high productivity with use of an eco-friendly TPE substitute material for NBR. NBR is currently used in motor gear cover, one of the key parts in motor module for auto doors. Gear cover is composed of plastics and rubber mostly today, which requires a two (2) step process for production using two presses of different types. A hot press is used at this time for forming the rubber, which has drawback of requiring a rather long forming time of 400 seconds for one forming process. Even though this difficulty is overcome by reducing production time through employment of multi-cavity molds, time for forming process must be shortened for improvement of the productivity eventually, and the existing method of insert injection for products that have been formed with plastic material must be outgrown. In this point of view, over molding injection using TPE has a big advantage. Forming time is shortened to 54 seconds, and working the two (2) processes in series by one (1) press could solve the durability problem caused by deflection of the plastics, not to mention shortening the process time. Enhancement of productivity by almost 80% and improvement in the accuracy of the product could thus be achieved.

  • An alternative to traditional production planning and control systems such as MRP and JIT is the drum-buffer-rope(DBR). Using the DBR system, companies can achieve a large reduction of work-in-process (WIP) and finished-goods inventories (FGI), significant improvement in scheduling performance, and substantial earnings increase. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effect of the DBR system in a serial production line. Using Markov process, we modeled a DBR system with three stages. For the model developed, we analyze the system characteristics and then present an optimization model for system design. The system performance is also analyzed through sensitivity analysis.

  • Lacks of harmony of a person and machine according to productivity elevation pursuit is happened by enterprise common problem in Global competition age and productivity loss is caused being connected to worker's burden work. Burden work in PET bottle production Process which are arrangement, Packing, interior inspection is analyzed by Ergonomic analysis technique. REBA estimation point(10~11 points) means the high step of hazard on worker's burden. It is immediately required the improvement on the process. This thesis show you the improving methods like package, examination justice.

  • Automated polishing apparatus based on the research have been developed. The research is improvement of polishing process for surface quality and uniformity improvement of preform injection mold core. Surface quality of preform core have influence on ejecting and product quality after injection molding. Thus, the current being made by hand to automate the polishing process, the surface of the preform to improve the quality and uniformity improvement. First made a division by analyzing manual process a step-by-step. And draw a mechanism for converting mechanical movement. Automated polishing apparatus for preform core was developed, through which shortens production time and were able to secure the safety of the worker.

  • As the proportion of software in weapon systems increases, the impact of software on the overall system is growing. As a result, software quality management becomes important, and related regulations and work manuals for quality assurance activities at each stage in the R & D process are becoming more sophisticated. However, due to the characteristics of the weapon system software that is developed as a customized form for the purpose of a specific mission, there are limits to specifying and definitizing the detailed requirements (upper and lower level) according to various operational concepts during the development process. Due to this, software modification (patch change, shape change due to upgrade, etc.) occurs on account of many defects and performance improvement in the mass production and operation stage after the development is completed. In this study, we analyze the characteristics of these weapon system softwares and propose quality improvement methods based on ISO / IEC / IEEE 29119 test method.

  • In this paper, a rescheduling procedure is developed for shipbuilding master production schedule. Shipyard initially develops backward production schedules for the entire shipbuilding process, and then refines the schedule by stage. The rescheduling procedure of this paper tries to resolve the schedule discrepancies between the outdoor backward schedule and the refined indoor schedule. Through the proposed rescheduling procedure, outdoor schedule can be successfully adjusted using buffer days and duration reduction. An Object-oriented program is also developed to automate the procedure. We can observe the improvement on productivity and quality of rescheduling works from the application of the developed procedure.

  • This study analyzes the innovation process of the value chain in the fashion industry. It examines the differences between traditional and FF-based methods that include value chain processes such as design, production, and distribution-sales process. In the literature review and case studies, general propositions were drawn from each innovative stage by a comparison analysis. First, design speed is the main factor to explain the impact of IT in the design process. Second, small quantity batch production becomes main stream by the adoption of a computer-integrated manufacturing system in the production process. Third, cost reduction and speedup improvement are results of innovation in the distribution process. Last, a customized interface provides important information that can integrate the value chain and make useful customer relationships in the sales process. Fast fashion is the best product of these procedural innovations in the overall value chain. Consequently, this study confirmed that the general propositions referred above were acceptable and adaptable in the case of ZARA in terms of fast fashion strategy.

  • In this study, attempts to analyze the case study of production design were carried out through: 1) exploration of the factors influencing the interface between architectural and production design phases; 2)application of precast technologies. Building design and construction planning in Japan may be characterized by ample use of Production Design which extends over the whole projects phases. Taking a composite construction system for apartment buildings which allow for alternative combination of different technologies as a case study object, three projects have been chosen to analyze actual process of determining product sub-system and their specification. And the expectancies of this paper are that it can be used as efficient data for improvement of system to systematize Constructability(Buildability) in korea.
