  • This study investigated conditions necessary for factory production of traditional Korean soy sauce flavors, using Bacillus licheniformis SSA3-2M1. We determined whether the flavors were good or bad by comparing sensory evaluation values and the contents of the main taste components of traditional Korean soy sauce with those of the manufactured soy sauce. The soy broth was cultured by Bacillus licheniformis SSA3-2M1. By providing from 1/3 vvm to 2/3 vvm of air, and a culturing time of 412 hours at 30$^{\circ}C$, we produced the taste of traditional Korean soy sauce; moreover its PH was in the PH range of traditioal Korean soy sauce. The distributions of the main taste components and the amino acids, free sugars, and organic acids in the manufactured soy sauce were similar to tradituioal Korean soy sauce.

  • This paper illustrates a method for evaluating nodal probabilistic production cost using the CMELDC. A new method for constructing CMELDC(the equivalent load duration curves of composite power system) was developed by authors. The CMELDC can be obtained by convolution integral processing between the probability distribution functions of the fictitious generators outage capacity and the load duration curves at each load point. Monte Carlo Methods are applied for the construction of CMELDC on this study. And IEEE-RTS 24 buses model is used as our case study with satisfactory results.

  • This paper presents a development of vision aligner with three channels for the wafer and plate bonding machine in manufacturing of LED. The developed vision aligner consists of three cameras and performs wafer alignment of rotation and translation, flipped wafer detection, and UV Tape detection on the target wafer and plate. Normally the process step of wafer bonding is not defined by standards in semiconductor's manufacturing which steps are used depends on the wafer types so, a lot of processing steps has many unexpected problems by the workers and environment of manufacturing such as the above mentioned. For the mass production, the machine operation related to production time and worker's safety so the operation process should be operated at one time with considering of unexpected problem. The developed system solved the 4 kinds of unexpected problems and it will apply on the massproduction environment.

  • Electronics in modern lives have become more miniaturized and precise. Multi Layered Ceramic Capacitor (MLCC) occupies 50% of electronic components consisting of electronics. This high volume of the production needs high speed and more precise machine performances. The dominate parts of the production equipments are the module transporting components and the visual inspection module. Most visual inspection has been off-line because of the image processing time. In this paper, a new image processing method is proposed to reduce thousands of matrix calculation for image processing and realize on-line high speed inspection.

  • Since 2000, S. Korea is building yachts through government supported localization, cooperation between industry and educational organizations, or partnerships with foreign firms but the yacht building has yet only accomplished trial manufactured ships and one-time production. Because of a lack of mass production, the industry assesses the domestic technical skills to an average 50~60% of developed countries and its market share is less than 1% in the world. In addition, domestic marine equipment is heavily depending on imports and the industry is experiencing shortage of technology and experts, small-sized companies, insufficient industry and educational organizations' cooperation networks, inadequate legislation and policies, deficient domestic market vitalization, and scarce international information. Thus, this study focuses on the alternative plans to strengthen competitiveness and to cope with problems in the southeast marine leisure equipment industry.

  • The paper presented the effect of Surveillance and Improvement of Children's Nutritional Status in China The survery was conducted in 101 relatively poor counties in 27 provinces in 199-, 1993 and 1995 respectively. Physical measurement and blood biochemisty was take for 86, 397 children aged under five years. The intervention activities were carried out for 5 year in those 101 counties, e. g. nutrition education promotion of food production family poultry and livestock raising soybean production and utilization home gardening, nutrition food development for children Having the above mentioned measures the prevalence of stunting dropped by 21% wasting decreased by 25% and anemia lowered by 49% during 5 years It is suggested that it should be carried out continuously and promotion efforts should be intensified so as to reach the goal of improving children's nutritional status.

  • There is necessity to make theoretical structure through systematize pre-production process of edutainment contents to apply edutainment to university curriculum. This purpose to draw components of edutainment contents to make pre-production process of it. It is drew 4 component of on-line based edutainment contents-education, fun, interaction, visualization. Through this research, I expect to present design methodology, the way of transmitting learning information and verification standard of the educational effects of edutainment contents.

  • There are two main types of agricultural extension projects in Korea, the impacts and routes of each type on farm income are different. This paper empirically studies the impact of agricultural extension to farms' income, using Multi-level production function considering time lag. It is found that direct type of extension has positive effect to farms' income. Also indirect type on income is significant only when the level of education is high. Due to the characteristics of Korean agricultural structure, the technical level of farm is greatly influenced by the government's R&D investment and technology guidance. The result implies that indirect type of extension that take into account the educational level of farms should be emphasized for long-term technological advances.

  • This study estimates possibility and limitation on production of DEM using aerial photo by comparison of DEMs using aerial photo and digital map. Mountain and urban areas show higher elevation in DEM using aerial photo than in DEM using digital map, due to height of vegetation cover and buildings, respectively. However, artificial affects due to bridge, embankment and road construction are responsible for areas with higher elevation in DEM using digital map than in DEM using aerial photo. This difference in elevation between DEMs seems to be caused by rapid change in real elevation that is not reflected in digital map. There is little difference in elevation between DEMs in plain and area with little or no vegetation cover. This study suggests that problems associated with vegetation cover and error by GCP should be fixed, although DEM using aerial photo can quantitatively and 3-dimensionally reconstruct topography with a high resolution.
