수출산업 고도화전략에 대한 연구: 울산지역 석유화학산업을 중심으로 (Sophistication of Export Basket: The Case of Petrochemical Industries in Ulsan, Korea)

  • This paper seeks to recommend strategic policy options geared towards enhancing sophistication level of Ulsan City's major export industries in the Republic of Korea. Ulsan's major export industries, including shipbuilding, automobile and petrochemical industries, turn out to be based mostly on low to medium technology with low R&D intensity suggesting relatively low level of product sophistication. Using a recent Eurostat high-tech industry classification table which suggests 9 high-tech industries, the paper identifies Ulsan's chemical industry as the only RCA industry. Focusing on chemical industry products at HS 6-digit level, specific products are identified at the efficiency frontier for future policy considerations.

Price estimation based on business model pricing strategy and fuzzy logic

  • Pricing, as one of the most important aspects of a business, should be taken seriously. Whatever affects a company's pricing system tends to affect its profits and losses as well. Currently, many manufacturing companies fix product prices manually by members of an organization's management team. However, due to the imperfect nature of humans, an extremely low or high price may be fixed, which is detrimental to the company in either case. This paper proposes the development of a fuzzy-based price expert system (Expert Fuzzy Price (EFP)) for manufacturing companies. This system will be able to recommend appropriate prices for products in manufacturing companies based on four major pricing strategic goals, namely: Product Demand, Price Skimming, Competition Price, and Target population.

  • Objectives: The major objectives of this study are to review the EU CLP Regulations to propose ways of improving the reliability of MSDS and labels. Methods: To review the EU CLP Regulations, we used EU documents including directives and regulations on chemical management. In addition, we used EU governmental agency reports to illuminate the history and background of the CLP. We found the EU CLP's instruments for reliable hazard communication and evaluated the operations of the instruments. Results: EU CLP Regulations have four instruments for the EU CLP Regulations to make hazard communication reliable. These instruments are GHS, the harmonized CMR and respiratory sensitive substances classification list, C&L inventory and restriction of trade secrets. These are highly useful for achieving the objectives of REACH and CLP(no data-no market and changing the burden of proof). Conclusions: Changing the burden of proof is a key principle for achieving a society safe from hazardous chemicals. Chemical manufacturers and importers alone should bear the responsibility for reliable MSDS. We recommend benchmarking the EU CLP Regulations in order to change efficiently the burden of proof. Trade secrets should be limited to low-hazard substances and be approved by the government before the chemical product is on the market. Like the C&L inventory, chemical product information including substances identification and hazard properties should be notified, aggregated and be opened to public on the Internet. Finally, we recommend a MSDS registration system once again.

  • 전자상거래가 활성화됨에 따라 제공되는 상품의 정보와 서비스의 내용이 점차 다양해지고 있다. 따라서 구매자들은 가격 정보뿐만 아니라 다양한 상품 정보들을 검색 추천해주는 에이전트 개발을 요구하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전자상거래에서 도서 정보 검색과 관련하여 사용자의 선호도를 프로파일 형태로 표현하고, 도서 정보를 검색 및 추출하고 이를 추천하는 멀티 에이전트 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 멀티 에이전트 시스템은 정보검색, 정보추천, 사용자 인터페이스, 웹 로봇과 같은 여러 개별 에이전트들의 동작들을 조정 에이전트의 설계 및 구현을 통하여 통제하고 관리한다. 본 멀티 에이전트 시스템을 윈도우즈 NT 서버에 구현하였다. 조정 에이전트의 관리 기능으로 중복된 정보 검색을 제거할 수 있었으며, 고객들에게 여러 온라인 도서 사이트의 도서 정보들을 실시간으로 제공할 수 있게 되었다.

소비자 할인추구성향에 초점을 둔 화장품 선택속성이 구매의도와 추천의도에 미치는 영향: 정보원천에 대한 다중모집단분석 (The Effect of Cosmetics Selection Attributes Focusing on Consumer's Deal Proneness on Consumer's Purchase Propensity and Recommend Intention: Multi-Group Analysis of Information Sources)

  • 본 연구는 화장품 선택속성 및 소비자의 구매의도와 추천의도 간의 영향 관계를 살펴보았다. 또한 소비자의 할인추구성향에 따른 조절효과를 검증하였다. 마지막으로 정보원천에 따라 연구 모형 경로에 대한 차이를 검증하기 위해 다중집단분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해서 화장품을 구매하는 소비자의 선택속성을 명확화하고, 이러한 선택속성이 할인추구성향에 따른 구매의도와 추천의도에 미치는 영향구조를 정보원천별로 규명함을 통해 보다 세부적이고 실효성 높은 전략적 통찰에 목말라 하는 산업업계의 필요와 요구에 부응하고자 한다. 이러한 필요성에 기인한 연구목적 달성을 위해 한국 여성 소비자 258명의 설문지를 수집하고 연구에 활용하였다. 분석결과는 제품 선택속성, 구매의도와, 추천의도 모두 긍정적인 영향관계에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 소비자의 할인추구성향에 따른 조절효과 분석결과 화장품 선택속성과 구매의도 사이, 선택속성과 추천의도 사이, 구매의도와 추천의도 사이에서 조절효과를 나타내는 결과를 보였다. 마지막으로 모형의 개별 경로들이 정보원천에 따라 차이가 있는지를 검증하기 위해 다중집단분석을 실시한 결과 부분적으로 채택되었다.

베이커리 카페 고객 특성과 서비스 품질이 고객 태도와 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Impacts of Customer Characteristics and Service Quality on Attitudes and Behaviors of Bakery Cafe Customers)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine the impacts of characteristics of bakery cafe customers and service quality on customer perceived value, customer satisfaction, intention to revisit, and intention to recommend, and to provide comprehensive understanding on attitudes and behaviors of bakery cafe customers. The questionnaire was developed through literature review and focus group interviews and was modified after pilot test. The questionnaires for the main survey were distributed to 320 males and females aged 20 and over in Seoul. A total of 275 questionnaires were used for analyses (85.9%) and the statistical analyses were completed using SPSS Win (12.0) for descriptive analyses, regression analyses, and correlation analysis. The main results were as follows. There were significant differences of intention to revisit between groups of different gender, age, and personal expenses. The service quality of product dimension affected all tested variables, and the service quality of services and price dimension had effects on customer perceived value and intention to recommend. Customer satisfaction was a unique variable that is affected by service quality of the interior environments dimension. Overall, researchers and managers of bakery cafes should understand customer attitudes and behaviors, and the results of this study would help to establish marketing strategies that meet target customers' needs.

백년초가 첨가된 시판 유과류의 기호 인자에 관한 연구 (A Study on Liking/Disliking Attributes of Commercial Yugwa (Korean oil pastry product) Containing Baeknyeoncho (Opuntia ficus-indica var. saboten))

  • This study was performed to analyze the JAR (Just-About-Right) Rating and CATA (Check-All-That-Apply) Method for commercial Yugwa (Korean oil pastry products) containing Baeknyeoncho (Opuntia ficus-indica var. saboten). The survey was conducted with 50 participants, and five kinds of Yugwa samples (Control, B-YG, B-RY, B-WY and B-GB) were used. According to the results of the study with these samples, the B-RY sample received the highest score in 'Try again (6.30/9)' and 'Recommend (6.24/9)'. The Control Sample, which was the traditional Yugwa, received the second highest score (Try again: 5.62/9, Recommend: 5.70/9). The liking attributes for these samples were related to eating convenience, familiar taste, traditional type and size. These findings suggest that the factors to be considered in the development of commercial Yugwa are the maintenance of traditional taste and familiarity in an easy-to-eat size for consumers.

  • The wide spread of internet business recently necessitates recommendation systems which can recommend the most suitable product fur customer demands. Currently the recommendation systems use content-based filtering and/or collaborative filtering methods, which are unable both to explain the reason for the recommendation and to reflect constantly changing requirements of the users. These methods guarantee good efficiency only if there is a lot of information about users. This paper proposes an algorithm called 'demand articulate & integration' which can perceive user's continuously varying intents and recommend proper contents. A method of knowledge classification which can be applicable to this algorithm is also developed in order to disassemble knowledge into basic units and articulate indices. The algorithm provides recommendation outputs that are close to expert's opinion through the tracing of articulate index. As a case study, a knowledge base for heritage information is constructed with the expert guide's knowledge. An intelligent recommendation system that can guide heritage tour as good as the expert guider is developed.

청대추칩의 속성별 소비자 가치 추정 (Estimation of Consumers Valuation by Attributes of Green Jujube Chip)

  • 본 연구는 "청대추칩"이라는 신제품의 제품 개발 방향 설정을 목적으로 시행되었다. 이를 위하여 청대추칩의 속성별 소비자 가치추정을 실시하였다. 방법적으로는 선택형 실험(Choice Experiment)을 이용하였으며, 조건부 로짓 모형을 추정하여 각 속성별 지불의사금액을 도출하였다. 그 결과 중소기업 제품은 1,333원/개, 대기업은 1,752원/개, 대학은 1,703원/개, 포장 단위는 350원/개, 원료 등급은 548원/개, HACCP은 1,322원/개, ISO22000은 1,166원/개로 추정되었다. 대학 브랜드의 지불의사금액은 중소기업 브랜드보다는 높고 대기업 브랜드보다는 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 대학 브랜드 제품을 다소 고급제품으로 인식하고 있으므로 이에 걸맞는 제품을 개발해야 할 필요가 있다. 그러므로 우선적으로 HACCP을 취득할 필요가 있고 우수한 원료를 사용할 필요가 있다.

How a Luxury Brand Can Enhance its Product Attractiveness in Retail Environment?

  • Purpose - The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of social status perception and interest in social issues on the authenticity perceived by consumers of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities of premium brands. Research design, data, and methodology - Behavioral experiments were performed to observe the impact of consumers' social status perception and interest in social issues on their perceived authenticity of CSR motivation related to premium brands and consumer behavior. Results - We found that the possibility of social mobility and the degree of individuals' interest in the environment and CSR enable them to reconsider the authenticity of CSR motivation, thereby having positive effects on purchase intention, willingness to recommend the product, and brand value. This research also showed that proactive customers who seek to move up the social ladder have a stronger interest in social issues such as the environment or CSR. Conclusions - Our research suggests that when conducting a consumer segmentation analysis for the launch of CSR products (products released for CSR), a positive mind-set toward social mobility serves as an effective criterion.
