Objective: This study introduces user experience measurement and its application for senior friendly products. Background: Measuring user experience for senior friendly product is very important for its design, but the measurement is not easy. Method: This study was focused on case studies for user experience measurement and its application for senior friendly product. Mobile patient lift and four wheeled walker that assist the old's mobility were studied. User experience was measured through interview and observation method. Result: From measuring the user experience, some usability issues were identified for the products. A method to apply QFD(quality function deployment) in design process was proposed. A design prototype was also developed considering user experience. Conclusion: User experience measurement for senior friendly products is key process for user centered design. Application: The method and result of this study can be applied to user experience measurement and design of senior friendly product.

본 논문은 색약자가 웹을 통한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 사용시 정상인이 인지하는 것과 동등한 정보를 인지 할 수 있도록 컴퓨터화된 색약 진단 및 보정이 통합된 시스템의 상용화 개발에 관한 것이다. 개발된 시스템은 인증 및 진단을 하는 CVDWeb 서버와 클라이언트에 다운 로드 되어 보정을 하는 WebAgent 로 구성되어 있어 사용이 쉽고, 서버의 부하를 최소로 줄일 수 있으며, 텍스트, 이미지 및 동영상의 실시간 처리 및 원색 보정이 가능하다.

This paper explores the determinants of the innovation impact of publicly funded R&D projects along three broad dimensions, namely project, firm and market-related factors. In addition to these factors we examine the attributes of the research result per se and aspects of the commercialization process. The observations from empirical and qualitative analyses are based on R&D projects funded by the Fifth and Sixth Research Framework Programmes of the European Union. Firm size, prior experience, innovation culture, the nature of the project itself, explicit intension to commercialize, consortium management and strategy are the factors with the strongest effect on project success, defined in terms of product/process innovation and/or technical knowledge creation. The paper provides important implications for the organization, objectives, and management of public programmes that fund R&D and for project and participant selection.

In this paper, we empirically examine how export pioneers emerge and how they are related to product creators/innovators, utilizing a rich plant-product level dataset from the Korean manufacturing sector for the period of 1990-1998. Our analysis covers the process from the appearance of product creators as well as product imitators to the emergence of export pioneers. We find, first, that product imitators are larger, more productive and older than product creators. Second, most export pioneers are nevertheless found to be product creators. This result is largely due to the fact that almost all export pioneers export the products in the same year as product creation. Third, there are similarities as well as differences between product creators and export pioneers. Plants that are more productive or larger are more likely to become product creators as well as export pioneers. However, previous exporting experience positively affects the probability of export pioneering only, while plants' engagement in R&D positively affects the probability of product creation only. We discuss possible explanations for our main empirical results as well as their policy implications.

In this paper, an embedded micro processor based resistance spot welding controller is introduced which has been recently developed by Hyosung Co. Ltd. The performance of rapid and constant high current control is tested experimentally. This paper shows configurations of measuring system for high current and realtime RMS conversion techniques of sampled discrete data. A digital proportional control is adopted for this system and the result shows that this new product is working well at wide range of welding current and the performance is improved compared with some other commercially available controllers that are widely used in our industries. User friendly MMI system and a computer network system to monitor each welding processes are also presented.

Recently, with the diffusion of a new paradigm named as the creative economy, the government's interests and efforts regarding support of SMEs' R&D have been concentrated. In particular, due to the dominant perception that the fundamental science and original technology from government-funded research institutes can further enhance the capabilities of SMEs' R&D, the importance of performance's diffusion on national R&D is further emphasized. In fact, the domestic SMEs don't have enough budget and workforce, so that all of self-contained technologies, product's competitiveness as well as the R&D capabilities, are very vulnerable, and thereby SMEs' commercialization is very likely to fail. For this end, SMEs need to adopt the concept of open innovation as the use of external R&D resources by licensing. In this study, we conducted a survey on a total of 286 domestic IT SMEs, and analyzed empirically to compare the degree of their acceptance on technological innovation between two groups divided by open/not-open innovation. As a result, we drew some of the key factors influencing the acceptance of the SMEs' open technological innovation, and found a variety of implications through them.

The safety and performance of medical device software is managed through life-cycle processes, which represent the entire process of research and development (R&D). The life-cycle process of medical device software is represented by an international standard called IEC 62304, ISO/IEC 12207. In order to license the product, the manufacturer must have document artifacts that comply with the IEC 62304 standard. However, these standards only describe the content of the activity and do not provide a method or procedure for documentation. Therefore, this paper suggests R&D documentation guidelines that assist medical device software developers to have R&D documents conforming to the standards. For this purpose, this study identifies the requirements related to documentation among the requirements existing in the standard and extracts them in the form of guidelines showing only the core information of the requirements. In addition, through the Web framework implemented based on this research, the developer can evaluate whether the technical documents are written in accordance with the R&D document guidelines. Medical device software manufacturers can efficiently produce high-quality research and development documents through R&D documentation guidelines, and they can have standards-compliantresearch and development documentation required for licensing procedures.

This article analyzed the direct impact of resource inputs on business performances of Korean environmental companies conducting R&D, and the mediation effects of product-, process-, organization-, marketing-innovations between resource inputs and business performances. We conducted the mediation analysis using SPSS and Process Macro, based on a survey data from the Korean environmental companies. The article found that ① resource inputs have directly had a positive impact on business performances, and ② innovations have mediated them. ③ But among 4 types of innovations, the only mediation effect of organization-innovation has been verified, and the others have not appeared. Considering the above results, the following policy implications can be suggested. ① It is necessary to reinforce related policies so that companies can improve business performances through innovation. ② The government needs to carry out the prudent supporting policies so that innovations in product, process, and marketing can lead to business performances. This article has the limitation of using the survey data, and needs further researches on the sectoral system of innovation for Korean environmental industry.
