Spatial augmented reality for product appearance design evaluation

  • Augmented reality based on projection, called "Spatial Augmented Reality (SAR)", is a new technology that can produce immersive contents by overlapping virtuality and real-world environment. It has been paid attention as the next generation digital contents in media art and human-computer interaction (HCI). In this paper, we present a new methodology to evaluate the product appearance design more intuitively by means of SAR technique. The proposed method first projects the high-quality rendered image considering the optical property of materials onto the mock-up of a product. We also conduct a projector-camera calibration to compensate a color distortion according to a projector, a projection surface and environment lighting. The design evaluation methodology we propose offers more flexible and intuitive evaluation environment to a designer and user (evaluator) than previous methods that are performed via a digital display. At the end of this research, we have conducted a case study for designing and evaluating appearance design of an automobile.

  • With the advancement of network, privacy information as well as confidential information that belongs to government and company are exposed to security incident like spreading viruses or DDoS attack. To prevent these security incident and protect information that belongs to government and company, Security system has developed such as antivirus, firewall, IPS, VPN, and other network security system. Network security systems should be selected based on purpose, usage and cost. Verification for network security product's basic features performed in a variety of ways at home and abroad, but consumers who buy these network security product, just rely on the information presented at companies. Therefore, common user doing self performance evaluation for perform Verification before buying network security product but these verification depends on inaccurate data which based on some user's criteria. On this paper, we designing methodology of network security system performance evaluation focused on Korean using other cases of performance evaluation.

AHP 기법을 이용한 멀티미디어 저작도구 평가 및 선정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation & Selection of Multimedia Authoring Tools using the AHP)

  • This study addresses the evaluation criteria of multimedia authoring tools(MATs), the way which decision-maker can exclude outlier matrix from group using the concept of the compatibility index, and how AHP can be applied to the selection of MATs in a group decision-making environment. The AHP technique allows an evaluator to quantify the relative importance of elements at each hierarchy and to calculate the composite relative weights for each product(i.e. MATs). This decision process allows setting to priority of the MATs based on the AHP. The results indicated that technical ability of MATs was the most significant factor in affecting their decision, trailed by managerial efficiency and vendor support. To the experts, multimedia data support was the less important than development interface. Also, the results indicated that product A(0.510) was their first choice, trailed by product C(0.286) and B(0.204). Assessing the composite relative weights revealed that expert group's members were consistent with the rankings of decision variables(evaluation criteria variables) statistically in selecting their MATs. Therefore, we believed that expert group's members have achieved sufficient agreement to permit the use of geometric mean to average the group's preference without obscuring the differences of individual opinions.

  • The flow of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution calls for the innovation of the traditional business models of the manufacturers. Servitization is a corporate strategy to respond to changes in the business environment. These days, the value that the market demands can be created on the basis of the product-service integration. Thus the manufacturers must pursue the fundamental innovation of the current strategy and business models. It is necessary to create common values with customers through providing product-service integrated offerings beyond the development, production, and delivery. The purpose of this study is to develop the evaluation indicators for selecting suppliers when the manufacturer who offers the value of product-service integration needs to obtain the resources from outside. The case company in this study is the manufacture firm conducting the retail IoT business as a new business. The Delphi method is used to develop the evaluation indicators for selecting suppliers. This study suggests the academic implications providing the perspective of Servitizaiton by using Delphi method, and the practical implications applying the creating value method of Servitization by collecting the opinions from both value providers and value consumers in the process of developing the evaluation indicators.

제품자료 분석을 통한 제품설계 실험 실패 요인 분석 (Analysis of Failure in Product Design Experiments by using Product Data Analytics)

  • This study assessed and analysed a result of a product design experiment through Product Data Analytics (PDA), to find reasons for failure of some projects in the experiment. PDA is a computer-based data analysis that uses Product Data Management (PDM) databases as its operational databases. The study examines 20 product design projects in the experiment, which are prepared to follow same product development process by using an identical PDM system. The design result in the PDM database is assessed and analysed by On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) and data mining tools in PDA. The assesment and analysis reveals the lateness in creation of 3D CAD models as the main reason of the failure.

효율적인 상품평 분석을 위한 어휘 통계 정보 기반 평가 항목 추출 시스템 (Automatic Product Feature Extraction for Efficient Analysis of Product Reviews Using Term Statistics)

  • 본 논문에서는 상품평의 효율적인 분석을 위한 평가 항목 추출 시스템을 제안한다. 시스템은 크게 상품평 수집-보정과 평가 항목 추출의 두 단계로 구성된다. 상품평 수집-보정에서는 인터넷 쇼핑몰에서 상품평을 수집하고 상품평 특유의 구어체 표현과 맞춤법 오류 등을 처리한다. 평가 항목 추출에서는 스커트 상품 카테고리의 경우 ‘사이즈', ‘스타일'과 같이 상품을 평가하는 기준이 되는 항목을 상품평과 인터넷 상의 웹 문서를 활용하여 자동으로 추출한다. 상품평에 나타나는 명사들을 평가 항목 후보로 설정하고, 각 후보 명사의 상품평에서의 어휘 통계인 내부연관도와, 후보 명사와 상품 카테고리명의 웹 문서에서의 공기 빈도에 기반하여 계산된 외부연관도를 결합하여 상품과 평가 항목 후보의 연관도를 계산한다. 본 논문의 평가 항목 추출 방식은 평균 재현율 90%를 보여 기존 연구보다 우수한 결과를 보였다.

홍삼정과 부산물을 첨가한 식빵의 품질 특성 (Quality Characteristics of Pan Bread containing Red Ginseng Jung Kwa By-Product)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of the quality of bread containing Red Ginseng Jung Kwa by-product, added in ratios of 0, 10, 20 and 30% of flour. It was found in dough and bread containing red ginseng Jung Kwa by-product that dough and loaf volume, specific loaf volume, baking loss, and pH decreased with an increasing amount of red ginseng Jung Kwa by-product. In addition, loaf weight and hardness were also reduced. In particular, hardness appeared to be 2.18 times higher for bread containing 30% Red Ginseng Jung Kwa by-product as compared to the amounts found in the control. For color, increasing the amount of Red Ginseng Jung Kwa by-product reduced the L value, whereas the a and b values were increased. In the sensory evaluation, the highest overall preference score was observed in the bread containing 20% red ginseng Jung Kwa by-product, whereas the lowest score was found in the control (no red ginseng Jung Kwa by-product added). It was concluded that pan bread containing red ginseng Jung Kwa by-product could be prepared with good acceptability, and that its optimum concentrate was found to be 20% of flour.

VLBI 상관서브시스템의 현장설치 및 시험결과 고찰 (INSTALLATION AND PERFORMANCE VERIFICATION OF VLBI CORRELATION SUBSYSTEM)

  • In this paper, we describe the installation of VLBI Correlation Subsystem (VCS) main product and its performance at the Korea-Japan Correlation Center (KJCC). The VCS main product was installed at KJCC in August 2009. For the overall performance evaluation of VCS, playbacks, Raw VLBI Data Buffer (RVDB) system, and Data Archive (DA) system were installed together. The VCS main product was connected between RVDB and DA, and the correlation results were put into the DA to confirm the normal operation of VCS 16 station mode configuration. The evaluation test was first performed with 4 station mode, same as the factory test of VCS main product. Based on the results of 4 station mode, the same evaluation test was conducted for 16 station mode of VCS. We found that the correlation results of VCS were almost similarly compared to those of the Mitaka FX Correlator. Through the test results, we confirmed that the problems such as spectrum errors, delay parameter processing module and field programmable gate array errors in antenna unit, which were generated at the factory test of VCS main product, were clearly solved. And we verified the performance and connectivity of VCS by obtaining the expected correlation results and we also confirmed that the performance of VCS was sufficient for real VLBI observation data in both 4 and 16 station modes.

비쥬얼 이미지 정보의 점화효과에 따른 디자인 적용방안 - 상업용 웹사이트 배경화면 디자인을 중심으로 - (Design Applications Caused by Priming Effects of Visual Image Information - Based on Background Designs for Commercial Web Site)

  • 점화효과(Priming Effect)라 함은 상황효과(Contextual Effect)의 일부로서 "앞서 본 정보에 의해 뒤에 나오는 제품정보의 해석이 영향을 받게되어 제품평가가 달라지는 현상"을 말한다. 점화효과가 다른 상황효과와 구별되는 점은 앞서나온 정보가 제품의 평가에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것이 아니라 제품정보의 해석에 영향을 미침으로 인해 제품평가에 간접적인 영향을 미친다는 점이다. 위와 같은 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 점화효과의 개념을 디자인 분야에 적극적으로 도입하여 온라인 쇼핑몰 디자인에 있어 시각적 이미지들이 제품의 선호도와 선택에 어떠한 영향력을 행사하는지 파악하였다. 디지털카메라를 대상제품으로 '가격과 '크기'에 관한 속성을 점화시킨 웹 페이지를 각각 설계하여 제품에 대한 선호도 차이를 실증분석 하였으며 그 결과 점화된 속성에 따른 제품의 선호도 차이가 유의한 것으로 판명되었다. 따라서 상업용 웹 페이지의 배경화면이 제품의 선택에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 요인이라는 점을 인지하고 이러한 점화효과를 디자인과 접목시켜 온라인상의 광고에도 적극적으로 활용할 수 있기를 기대해본다.있기를 기대해본다.

제품 표준화 수준에 따른 공급업체 선정 요인별 중요도 평가에 관한 실증적 연구 - 사무용품 및 사무기기 공급업체를 대상으로 - (An Empirical Study on the Evaluation of Supplier Selection Factors according to the Product Standardization - Focused on the Stationery and Office Machine Suppliers -)

  • 본 연구의 주된 목적은 기업의 공급업체로부터 구입하는 제품의 표준화 제품 비율에 따라 공급업체 선정요인별 중요도에 있어서 차이가 존재하는지를 평가하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 연구 대상 분야를 사무용품 및 사무기기 분야로 한정하여 사무용품 및 사무기기 공급업체 선정을 위한 평가요인을 1단계에서는 사무용품 및 사무 기기 공급관련 요인, 제품관련 요인, 거래기업의 관리능력관련 요인으로 분류하고. 각 요인별로 세부요인을 설정하여 총 16개의 세부요인으로 분류하고, 각 요인별 상대적 중요도 산출을 위하여 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 평가 요인별 상대적 중요도는 AHP기법을 이용하여 도출하였다. 연구 결과 표준화 제품의 구입 비율이 높은 기업일수록 고객화 된 제품의 구입비율이 높은 기업보다는 온라인방식을 이용한 구입을 선호하는 것으로 나타났으며, 공급업체선정 요인에 있어서도 차이가 존재하는 것으로 평가되었다.
