  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of the usable space and its areal distribution for the sake of analogizing the planning criteria to be established when the elementary school is renovated. This study has been progressed with reference to the analysis of the drawings, situation analysis through the visiting, and materials of each elementary schools. As a result, the types of the usable space and its areal distribution of each school are different. So, it is an urgent problem what criteria are established on the types of the usable space and its areal distribution when the elementary school is renovated.

  • Single Point Diamond Turning (SPDT) is a cost-effective technique to fabricate metallic mirrors. In particular, the servo-assisted diamond turning option is highly useful for the fabrication of freeform surfaces. However, the SPDT process leaves periodic tool marks on machined mirror surfaces, leading to undesirable diffraction effect, as well as the deviation of input beam. In order to solve this problem, we propose new SPDT machining conditions to minimize tool marks. We will also show the results from optical measurement and Power Spectral Density (PSD) analysis to evaluate the expectable performance for applications in wide field infrared telescopes.

  • As the population of the elderly increases drastically year by year in Korea, this phenomenon is being a serious problem because of the increasing speed not having been showed ever all over the world. This thesis would propose the space organizing features for well-organized dementia hospital focused on the public living space. The way arranging each function is very important because values of the physical and functional accessibility have a wide range of value as each type of facility. Moreover, if the arranged function unit is the same as the territory of the space, it could be a good guideline on architectural planning.

의미운률과 의미 등가성: ‘빈 공간’은 ‘empty space’인가 ‘blank space’인가\ulcorner (Semantic Prosody and Meaning Equivalence: Is Korean pin konggan Equivalent to ‘Empty Space’ or ‘Blank Space’\ulcorner)

  • The purpose of this paper is to show that lexical equivalency in translation can be achieved when it is based on semantic prosodies of lexical items. This paper examines the semantic prosodies of two seemingly synonymous English adjectives ‘empty’ and ‘blank’ on the basis of the corpus given in Cobuild English Collocations on CD-ROM and proposes that they are different in terms of spatial dimensions. Thus when a Korean equivalent pin derived from the verb pita is translated into English, syntagmatic phraseological environments of the Korean adjective must be taken into account to attain the equivalency of the source and target languages. Relevant Korean corpus was taken from the 21st Century Sejong Plan (2002). Out of 12 examples of pin konggan, five appear to be equivalent to ‘blank’ and seven to ‘empty.’ The five to seven ratio in different usage indicates that the equivalency problem concerning the lexical item pin is not a trivial matter in translation.

  • The old couple household is also growing up with the growth of the aged so this is problem that needs to consider the home welfare service aspect. Otherwise, by the decrease of the number of the child and facilities' space availability, the government searching for proper usage of that kind of space in terms of financial and administration. So this study have combining of elementary school and home care for the aged facility especially for the increase of home care for the aged service facilities and improvement of using elementary school's space. That will increase the elderly cares and have need the homewelfare-service in the future, we select study elderly welfare facilities. We use analysis that analyze the trend of an elderly and social changes and conclude for the complexation of elderly welfare facilities, compound form of an elementary school, traffic line, space organization and interaction space organization.

형상 공간을 이용한 다관절 로보트의 충돌 회피 경로 계획 (Collision-Free Path Planning of Articulated Robot using Configuration Space)

  • A collision-free path planning algorithm between an articulated robot and polyhedral obstacles using configuration space is presented. In configuration space, a robot is treated as a point and obstacles are treated as grown forbidden regions. Hence path planning problem is transformed into moving a point from start position to goal position without entering forbidden regions. For mapping to 3D joint space, slice projection method is used for first revolute joint and inverse kinematics is used for second and third revolute joint considering kinematic characteristics of industrial robot. Also, three projected 2D joint spaces are used in search of collision-free path. A proper example is provided to illustrate the proposed algorithm.

  • Transformation of complexity and diverse life style of contemporary men have call for increase in demand of single's and couple's living space of one-room apartment. Feasibility for intensive use of one-room apartment, regardless of it's openness and flexible character, multiple function in a single concentrated room without privacy and lack of confrontation of the changes in diverse living pattern enhance uniformity which reflects as an essential problem. Therefore, this study is to present a direction of one-room apartment interior space planning to differentiate from the existing system of uniformity and it's problems. Within the concept of flexibility, establishment of the flexibility factors for the application of hinged system with a movable furniture to compose a flexible space. In conclusion, the applications of hinged system concept of sliding, folding, over-hangings, are applied in existing one-room apartment plan to enhance flexible space planning which to drive in motivation and adaptation of the dweller's life cycle.

포병진지 규모의 축소 가능성에 관한 연구 (A Study for the Possibility of Reducing the Size of Battery Position)

  • Increasing the number of artillery units requires more deployment space in the field operation area. However, there is limited space available in FEBA due to mountainous terrains. Therefore most artillery units cannot occupy enough deployment space which is proposed in the field artillery mannual(FM) to maximize the firing-effectiveness and to minimize the enemy threat. This paper studies the problems of reducing the size of a battery deployment space being applied currently without decreasing the firing-effectiveness of the battery. The optimum size of a battery position is obtained by using Lemus and David's allocation model and Supper Quick II Model which produces the probability of kill data with various input data. The result shows that the battery deployment space can be reduced without decreasing the firing-effectiveness in the example problem.

우주폐기물과 지구 및 우주환경의 보호 (The Problem of Space Debris and the Environmental Protection in Outer Space Law)

  • 지난 반세기동안 세계 각국에서 쏘아올린 인공위성 등 각종 우주물체들로 인하여 우주환경을 오염시키는 우주폐기물이나 잔해들이 기하급수적으로 늘어나고 특히 지구궤도에 널린 수만개 이상의 고장난 위성과 파편, 쓰레기들은 우주 관측과 위성 송수신에 오류를 일으키거나 우주정거장이나 위성 등 우주비행체와 충돌위험을 야기하고 있다. 예컨대 지난 2009년 2월 기능정지된 위성들인 미국 이리듐사의 통신위성 이리듐 33호와 러시아의 코스모스 2251호의 충돌은 수많은 파편과 더불어 지구와 우주환경에 심각한 위협이 되었으며 또한 2007년 1월 중국에 의한 자국위성 파괴실험은 보다 커다란 우주의 남용 사례로서 우주의 안전을 저해한다는 점에서 국제적인 비난을 불러 일으켰다. 실제로 우주환경이나 폐기물에 관한 문제들이 상당기간동안 과학적 연구와 논의의 대상이 되어온 것은 사실이나 주지하다시피 우주개발의 초기단계에서는 우주활동을 위한 기본 규칙제정을 위한 법적 성격의 규명이나 우주탐사와 이용에 필요한 기준을 마련하는데 주안점을 두어왔다. 따라서 결과적으로 우주활동과정에서 야기될지 모르는 환경훼손의 문제나 위험요소들은 국제우주법의 발전이라는 맥락에서도 우선순위에서 밀렸다는 사실을 지적하지 않을 수 없다. 지금까지 우주폐기물이 우주활동의 양적인 증가와 더불어 늘어났다는 시각외에도 임무실패나 상호 충돌 및 고의적인 파괴나 폭발 등으로 인해 기하급수적으로 증가하고 있다는 사실을 고려할 때 과거에는 뒷전에 밀렸던 우주폐기물 양산에 따른 안전 문제가 차츰 우선적 관심의 대상으로 부각되고 있는 바 이러한 추세는 최근의 UN의 페기물 경감 가이드라인이나 EU 행동규범 등 갖가지 국제협력과 규범화차원의 노력들을 통해 확인할 수 있을 것이다. 이들 가이드 라인이나 행동규범 등 연성법을 통해 각 회원국과 국제기구는 국제적 이행절차 및 각자의 고유한 집행절차에 따라 우주폐기물의 경감에 있어서 가능한 최대한 도로 이행하는 자발적 조치를 취하는 유통성을 부여하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이런 관점에서 최근 중국에 의한 위성파괴와 관련한 적법성 여하와 국제사회의 우주폐기물에 대한 경감 등 대응 노력과 과제 등을 살펴보고자 하였다.

디테일드 라우팅 유전자 알고리즘의 설계와 구현 (Design and Implementation of a Genetic Algorithm for Detailed Routing)

  • 디테일드 라우팅은 VLSI 설계 과정중의 하나로, 글로벌 라우팅을 수행한 후 각 라우팅 영역에 할당된 네트들을 트랙에 할당하여 구체적인 네트들의 위치를 결정하는 문제이며, 디테일드 라우팅에서 최적의 해를 얻기 위해 left-edge 알고리즘, dogleg 알고리즘, greedy 채널 라우팅 알고리즘등이 이용된다 본 논문에서는 디테일드 라우팅 문제에 대하여 유전자 알고리즘(genetic algorithm; GA)을 이용한 해 공간 탐색(solution space search) 방식을 제안하였으며, 제안한 방식을 greedy 채널 라우팅 알고리즘과 비교, 분석하였다.
