A carbon budget model was constructed and analyzed for the Bangjukpo surf zone ecosystem in southern Korea by using the NETWRK. The model consists of 11 living and 1 non-living groups. Using boxes and arrows, a topological map was created to depict biomasses of each group and exchange rates between them. The system includes primary producers of phytoplankton and benthic algae, primary consumers of particle feeding zooplankton, carnivorous zooplankton, meiobenthos, malacostracans and bivalves, and top consumers of detrivorous, omnivorous, carnivorous and piscivorous fishes. The surf zone ecosystem was analyzed by means of network analysis, showing total system throughput of $574\;gCm^{-2}yr^{-1},$ development capacity of $1,876\;gCm^{-2}yr^{-1},$ ascendancy value of $768\;gCm^{-2}yr^{-1},$ Finn cycling index of $4.4\%$ and internal relative ascendancy of $27\%.$ These results were compared with similar data from other systems.

The basic experiments for designing the effective gas turbine combustor were performed. There are several factors that define the characteristics of gas turbine combustor. Among them, experiment was focused on swirl effects by three types of swirler with different swirl numbers(0.0, 0.38, and 0.62). Particularly, an interest was concentrated on primary zone where the flame characteristics of total combustor was dominated strongly and secondary zone where the remaining unburned gas was reacted again or cooling effect was done according to degree of swirl intensity. For this study, following measurements have been carried out, that is, time mean and fluctuating temperature, exhaust gas composition including NO concentration, and ion current. From this study, it was found that swirl intensity affects largely not only flame style but also emission formation, furthermore that it is important to select proper swirl intensity.

With electron microscope, author studied on the pulp structure of human primary tooth in shedding stage. Non-carious human primary molar teeth were selected for this study. Using standard methods, specimens were sectioned and examined by light and electron microscope, The results were as follows; 1. In coronal pulp, odontoblasts were replaced by multinucleated odontoclasts, which contained a large number of mitochondria of varying shape and vacuoles in cytoplasm. Where odontoclasts were in contact with tooth surface, the characteristic ruffled border and clear zone were observed. 2. Fibrous tissue with plentiful collagen fibers and fibroblasts was observed adjacent to the dentin in the pulp. Fibroblast contained a number of mitochondria and well-developed rough-surfaced endoplasmic reticulum. 3. Inflammatory cells were observed in the pulp and active fibroblasts could be seen between inflammatory cells. In many cases, cervical epithelium proliferated toward absorbed area. 4. Inflammatory cells consisted of a number of lymphocytes, polymorphonuclear leukocytes, plasma cells and macrophages. Macrophage containing lysosomes in digestive state or phagocyting PMN could be seen. 5. In the primary molar of delayed root resorption, odontoblast layer, zone of Weil and cell-rich zone could be seen at roof of pulp chamber and odontoblast in this area cont과ained some lipid droplets.

A numerical study was conducted to investigate the effects of flow parameters in a entrained flow combustor on the flow characteristics. The computational model was based on the gas phase Eulerian equations of mass, momentum and energy. The code was formulated with RNG k-$\varepsilon$ model for turbulent flow. The calculation parameters were the magnitude of primary and secondary jet velocity and the height difference between primary and secondary jet. As the secondary jet velocity increased, the upper recirculation zone of the primary jet was strengthened. It was found that as the primary jet velocity increased, there was a critical jet velocity at which the size of upper and lower recirculation zone was changed.
Using the optical data from the EUMELI 3 and 4 missions, the optical properties are discussed in relation to primary production in the oligotrophic zone of the Eastern Atlantic Ocean. The depth of euphotic layer $(Z_{eu})$, the total accumulated concentration of pigment $(C_{TOT})$ and the concentration of pigment (C) are 88m, $12.4mgm^{-2}\;and\;0.14mgm^{-3}$, respectively for the EUMELI 3 mission and 101.7m, $10.0mgm^{-2}\;and\;0.10mgm^{-3}$, respectively for the EUMELI 4 mission. The concentration of pigment is higher in autumn (EUMELI 3) than in spring (EUMELI 4). This indicates that the concentration of photosynthetic pigment has a close correlation with vertical attenuation coefficient $(K(\lambda))$ that changes seasonally in the euphotic layer. While the spectral distributions of downward Irradiance$(E_d)$ for the wave length of 470nm increase with depth, those of upward irradiance $(E_u)$ for the wave length range between 410nm and 490nm are constant, because the study area is covered with the blue and clear oceanic deep waters. The vertical attenuation coefficients of downward irradiance $(K_d)$ and upward irradiance $(K_u)$ have low values between 0.02 and $0.06m^{-1}$ due to the low absorption and scattering by the photosynthetic pigment of phytoplankton. Therefore this zone has the characteristics of the case 1 waters with low concentrations of photosynthetic pigment, and can be classifed into IB.
The combustion characteristics of a partially premixed flame in a dump combustor were studied to determine the effects of hydrogen enrichment in propane. Bluff-body was used for flame stabilization. Fuel mixtures containing a hydrogen mole fraction ranging from 0.1 to 0.5 were burnt at ambient pressure within a quartz chamber. Tests were carried out keeping the total reactant flow rate by adjusting the fuel and air flow rates. The fluctuations of pressure were measured by piezoelectric pressure sensor. The instantaneous flame structure and OH chemiluminescence images were described by High-speed Intensified Charged Coupled Device (HICCD) camera and Intensified Charged Coupled Device (ICCD) camera. The present results show that hydrogen enrichment in fuel changed the location of primary reaction zone from inner recirculation zone to turbulent shear layer and pressure signal. The reason is that chemical aspects take precedence over flow aspects in the hydrogen-enriched flame.
Extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue type (extranodal MZL) is a distinct subgroup of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Pulmonary extranodal MZL is a rare entity and accounts for less than 0.5% of primary pulmonary malignancies. Only a few cases of simultaneous occurrence of lung cancer and pulmonary extranodal MZL have been reported. A 60-year-old woman was referred to our hospital with a pulmonary nodule. She was diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma by percutaneous needle biopsy. The protrusions into the left main bronchus were found by accident while performing bronchoscopy during lung cancer evaluation. The bronchial lesions were diagnosed as extranodal MZL. Although the patient underwent surgical resection for the lung adenocarcinoma, the pulmonary extranodal MZL was left untreated; it was monitored during follow-up visits. To our knowledge, this is the first report of synchronous lung adenocarcinoma and primary extranodal MZL of the main bronchus.
A study of the evolution of overburden fractures under the solid-fluid coupling state was conducted based on the geological and mining characteristics of the coal seam depth, weak strata cementation, and high-intensity mining in the mining areas of West China. These mining characteristics are key to achieving water conservation during mining or establishing groundwater reservoirs in coal mines. Based on the engineering background of the Daliuta Coal Mine, a non-hydrophilic simulation material suitable for simulating the weakly cemented rock masses in this area was developed, and a physical simulation test was carried out using a water-sand gushing test system. The study explored the spatial distribution and dynamic evolution of the fractured zone in the mining overburden under the coupling of stress and seepage. The experimental results show that the mining overburden can be vertically divided into the overall migration zone, the fracture extension zone and the collapse zone; additionally, in the horizontal direction, the mining overburden can be divided into the primary fracture zone, periodic fracture zone, and stop-fracture zone. The scope of groundwater flow in the overburden gradually expands with the mining of coal seams. When a stable water inrush channel is formed, other areas no longer generate new channels, and the unstable water inrush channels gradually close. Finally, the primary fracture area becomes the main water inrush channel for coal mines. The numerical simulation results indicate that the overlying rock breaking above the middle of the mined-out area allows the formation of the water-conducting channel. The water body will flow into the fracture extension zone with the shortest path, resulting in the occurrence of water bursting accidents in the mining face. The experimental research results provide a theoretical basis for the implementation of water conservation mining or the establishment of groundwater reservoirs in western mining areas, and this theoretical basis has considerable application and promotion value.

The present study addresses experimental results to investigate the details of the near field flow structures produced in the under-expanded, dual, coaxial, swirling, jet. The sonic swilling jets are emitted from a sonic inner nozzle and the outer annular nozzle produces the co/counter swirling streams against the primary swirling jet, respectively. The interactions between both the secondary annular swirling and primary inner supersonic swirling jets are quantified by the pilot impact and static pressure measurements, and visualized by using the Schlieren optical method. The experiment has been performed fur different swirl intensities and pressure ratios. The results obtained show that the secondary co-swirling jet significantly changes the inner under-expanded swirling jet, such as the recirculation zone, pressure distribution, through strong interactions between both the swirling jets, and the effect of the secondary counter-swirling jet on the primary inner jet is similar to the secondary co-swirl jet case.

Zone 3 of the distance relay is used to provide the remote back-up protection in case of the failure of the primary protection. However, the risk lot mal-operations under stressed conditions such as heavy loading, voltage and transient instability is usually high. Zone 3 is used in combination with the derivatives of the voltage, and current, etc to prevent mal-operations. Sometimes, the impedance characteristics that restrict the tripping area of relay are used to avoid the mal-operations due to load encroachment. This paper presents a novel Zone 3 scheme based on combining the steady-state components (i.e. 60Hz) and the transient components (TCs) using a state diagram that visualizes the sequence of studies that emanate from the sequence of events. The simulation results show that the novel zone 3 distance relay elements using the proposed method operates correctly for the various events.
