The investment in Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects is increasing rapidly as the first implementation period began in 2008. This paper examines on the optimal level of primary Certified Emission Reduction (CER) price, subsidiary original projects investment cost and expected issues CER per year, using UNFCCC CDM Project Design Document (PDD) data. Real option model is developed to incorporate a case where the investment is irreversible and underlying asset price is uncertainty. This study employs Real option approach which allow the optimal level regard as economic feasibility of CER price has analyzed with NPV (Net Present Value) and Black-Scholes call option(Real option) value. Finally, CER supply curve and price elasticity of supply are estimated.
The optional market segmentation pricing policy for rooms of hotels are investigated under the assumption of a linear demand function, and for four different situations: (1) single price market, (2) optimal segmentation of the unused capacity of a single-price-maeket, (3) optimal segmantation for all rooms, and (4) opimal segmentation for infiltration from higher priced to adjacent lower priced segments. The purpose of tis study is th show that with proper pricing policy, it would be possible to increase profits considerably. Such a profit increase might be achived by market segmentation coupled with product differentiation, where the different market segments are identified, sperated, and in each segment a different price per room is called for. The different prices are determined based on the specific price elasticity typical for each market segment and the relavant costs. The pricing model implied in this study is based on basic economic pricing theory and optimization techniques. While somewhat complex in its mathmatical solution, it can be easily programmed for use by practitioners, avoiding the need to cope with the technical aspects of the solution. In section II-1, the optimal single-market Single-price policy is evaluated. The optimal strategy under the constraint that only the previously unutilized rooms are segmented is analysed in section II-2, while the optimal strategy without this constraint is determined in section II-3. In section II-4, the optimal market-segmentation pricing policy is derived for the case in which market seperation is allowed for all the rooms under the assumption of custtomer infiltration from each market segment to the adjacent lower priced segment Finally, some considerations relating to the practicality of the model as a decision support tool and the requirements for its implementation are discussed in section III.
In this paper, we empirically evaluate the potential performance of energy conversion policy and analyze its effects on power generation sector. We first examine the degree of substitutability between energy inputs by measuring the price elasticities of energy demands and then estimate the changes in CO2 generation when the proportions of nuclear power plants and renewable power generation are increased. The shadow prices of nuclear power and renewable energy are calculated to compare the potential costs of power generation between the two energy sources. We analyze the impacts of the expansion of nuclear power plants and renewable power generation on power supply price. Nuclear and renewable energy were measured to be complementary to each other. The expansion of nuclear power plants has been more effective in reducing CO2 emissions than increasing renewable power generation. In most years over 2002 to 2016, the impact of nuclear power expansion on the power supply price was generally higher than that of renewable power generation, with relatively large range of fluctuations.

This study uses the hedonic price approach to estimate the economic value of a parking lot in an apartment building. In this study, a logarithmic function was applied to estimate the price elasticity of parking spaces. Variables were composed of an independent variable (apartment house characteristics) and a dummy variable (external characteristics). Detailed variables include exclusive area, number of floors, waterproofing, number of bathrooms, and number of parking spaces per household. Based on the results of the analysis for the entire year, the increase in the number of parking spaces affects a price increase of approximately 25.97 million won to 59.68 million won, which can be interpreted as the economic value of the parking space. However, since Hanam City was specified in this study, there is a limit to generalizing the current results and using them for project evaluation.
This study investigates the impact of livestock diseases, including FMD(foot-and-mouth disease) and MCD(mad-cow disease), on pork demand in Korea. TV news stories about the livestock diseases were considered as negative advertising, and therefore the carry-over effect of negative advertising was combined with the pork demand model in conjunction with an exponential distributed lag function. The asymmetry hypothesis was imposed, however it was accepted that demand response does not show different sensitivities to increases and decreases in the livestock disease news. FMD news had a negative effect on pork demand, whereas MCD news had a positive effect, yet FMD news had a greater effect on pork demand than MCD news. The pork demand elasticity estimates for FMD and MCD news were -0.0071 and 0.0028, respectively. The cross-elasticity of the imported beef price to pork demand was highly inelastic, but it was elastic during the beef import embargo.
Trade between South Korea and Malaysia has been steadily increasing since the conclusion of the multilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and South Korea. Bilateral FTAs such as Singapore-South Korea, Vietnam-South Korea, and Indonesia-South Korea came into effect to enhance the economic cooperation between South Korea and major ASEAN countries. However, the bilateral FTA between South Korea and Malaysia, known as Republic of Korea-Malaysia FTA, is still under negotiation. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the economic impact of a possible FTA between these two countries. To examine the economic effects of bilateral FTAs, this study analyzes the trade structure and change in the value of trade between Malaysia and South Korea using panel data analysis. Two significant findings were identified by the analysis. First, the Republic of Korea-Malaysia FTA is expected to promote trade and have a positive effect on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of South Korea. Second, the result of the calculated price elasticity based on substituting figures such as tariff, demand elasticity, and export value is that the value of manufacturing exports is expected to considerably get an increase. Therefore, an early FTA between South Korea and Malaysia would be beneficial for both national economies.

This study examined the instability factor of real income and net profits of Chung-yang Green Pepper Farm through an analysis of the operating costs. Furthermore, this paper suggests a plan for stabilizing the price by shipment adjustments resulting from an analysis of the price elasticity by A Linear Approximated Inverse Almost Ideal Demand System (LA/IAIDS). The income instability factor of the farm based on an analysis of the operating costs was attributed to the unexpected loading of utility expenses and collapse of the price due to oversupply at a specific point in time. On the other hand, this is insufficient to completely explain the income instability factor of Chung-yang Green Pepper Farm because a price collapse does not include the monthly price changes. An analysis of the price and scale flexibility of Chung-yang Green Pepper Farm by monthly data showed that annual farm net yield increases by 1.21% due to a 2.21% increase in price if the shipment quantity is reduced to 1% a year. In summary, a plan that supports the farm price received through declining shipments in winter is effective in stabilizing the income of farms. Because Chung-yang Green Pepper in Gyeongnam region has an especially high market share of 82.5%, the prices and income of Gyeongnam Chung-yang Green Pepper farms can be stabilized effectively if they form an association of producers around the Gyeongnam region and adjust the shipment.
This paper investigates the manner in which house prices affect macroeconomic variables through a house price channel by applying the method of Iacoviello (2005) to Korean data, and establishing a DSGE model with complementarity. This paper found that higher LTV ratio coupled with stronger complementarity results in the co-movement in both consumption and housing. For instance, the results show that when the LTV ratio and complementarity stands respectively at 50% and 0.42, an 1% rise in house prices increases consumption by 0.057%, and when the complementarity parameter increases to 0.52 with LTV remains unchanged at 50%, consumption rises by 0.047% per 1% increase in house prices. An increase in house prices leads credit constraints for borrowers to become more loose as value of a house rises as a collateral. The increase in household credit enables more consumer spending, eventually leading to increased consumption. A key link in which house prices are connected to macroeconomic variables is change in consumption. To put it simply, a rise in house prices leads to an increase in consumption, which consequently impacts the overall macro-economy. At this point, complementarity is found, in that the elasticity of intra-temporal substitution between housing and consumption is estimated at 0.42, which plays an important role in the house price channel by amplifying the effects of house prices on consumption.

The objective of this study consists of facilitating seafood consumption by increasing its intake opportunities for consumer through analysis of sliced raw fish. A study on sliced raw fish consumption was conducted on 630 citizens of Busan(252 men and 378 women), attending high school and university, and employedas housekeepers and salaried employees. The goal of the study was to assess the attitude and degree of satisfaction obtained from eating sliced raw fish and ultimately to promote greater seafood consumption. A self-administered questionnaire was used to record the results. The results were as follows : About sixty percent of the respondents appeared to like or not to be reluctant to eating sliced raw fish. The main reasons for favoring sliced raw fish were its taste and nutritious effects. All ages liked sliced raw fish, but teenaged women, on average, tend to dislike sliced raw fish. The most preferred sliced raw fish was flounder. Most of the panelists preferred korean rock fish, and red sea bream due to their ordinary muscle. Sliced raw fish of the 2nd and 3rd variety were the most popular. For most of the sliced raw fish, the own-price elasticity came out to be relatively low. This can be explained by the fact that sliced raw fish is characteristically purchased based more on quality and freshness, than on price. SINGSINGWHE(SSW)-fresh sliced raw fish should be stored at 0$^{\circ}C$ for no longer than 10hrs. Taste, nutritional value and low price have the potential to promote the consumption of seafood. Factors which can reduce the consumption of sliced raw fish were safety due to Vibrio septicemia, rainy day, indistinct origin, and high rices. To promote sliced raw fish consumption, the subjects recommended the quality improvement and low price.
A change in the consumer's surplus was measured in order to evaluate the social benefit to be derived from expanding health insurance to the entire population. The most refined and correct way to measure a project's net benefit to society is to determine a change in the consumer's surplus. Benefits from introducing the health insurance program to the uninsured people can be classified into two elements. The first is the pricing-down effect(E1) which results from applying the insurance price system, which is lower than the actual price, to the uninsured patients. The second effect(E2) is a decrease in actual payment because an insured patient pays only a portion of the total medical bill(copayment). We collected medical price information from the data banks of 93 hospitals, and obtained information of medical utilization by referring to the results of other research and from data published by the Korean Medical Insurance Societies. The total net benefit was estimated as \214 billion, comprising the first effect(E1) of \57 billion and the second effect(E2) of \157 billion. The price elasticity of physician visits is less than that of hospital admissions: however, benefits from the increase in physician visits are greater than those from hospital admissions because there are considerably more of physician visits than hospital admissions. The sensitivity analysis also shows the conclusion that expansion of the health insurance program to the entire population would result in a positive net benefit. Therfore, we conclude that the National Health Insurance Program is socially desirable.
