This study examines the impact of sentiment shock, which is defined as a stochastic innovation to the Housing Market Confidence Index (HMCI) that is orthogonal to past housing price changes, on aggregate housing price changes and housing price volatility. This paper documents empirical evidence that sentiment shock has a statistically significant relationship with Korea's aggregate housing price changes. Specifically, the key findings show that an increase in sentiment shock predicts a rise in the aggregate housing price and a drop in its volatility at the national level. For the Seoul Metropolitan Region (SMR), this study also suggests that sentiment shock is positively associated with one-month-ahead aggregate housing price changes, whereas an increase in sentiment volatility tends to increase housing price volatility as well. In addition, the out-of-sample forecasting exercises conducted here reveal that the prediction model endowed with sentiment shock and sentiment volatility outperforms other competing prediction models.

In this paper, we predicts the estimated price using the DNBP (Deep learning Network to predict Budget Price) model with bidding data obtained from the bidding websites, ElecNet and OK EMS. We use the DNBP model to predict four lottery preliminary price, calculate their arithmetic mean, and then estimate the expected budget price ratio. We evaluate the model's performance by comparing it with the actual expected budget price ratio. We train the DNBP model by removing some of the 15 input nodes. The prediction results showed the lowest RMSE of 0.75788% when the model had 6 input nodes (a, g, h, i, j, k).
Both investors and researchers are attentive to the prediction of stock price movement directions since the accurate prediction plays an important role in strategic decision making on stock trading. According to previous studies, taken together, one can see that different factors are considered depending on stock markets and prediction periods. This paper aims to analyze what data mining techniques show better performance with some representative index and stock price datasets in the Korea stock market. In particular, extreme gradient boosting technique, proving itself to be the fore-runner through recent open competitions, is applied to the prediction problem. Its performance has been analyzed in comparison with other data mining techniques reported good in the prediction of stock price movement directions such as random forests, support vector machines, and artificial neural networks. Through experiments with the index/price datasets of 12 years, it is identified that the gradient boosting technique is the best in predicting the movement directions after 1 to 4 days with a few partial equivalence to the other techniques.
As the blockchain technology attracts attention, interest in cryptocurrency that is received as a reward is also increasing. Currently, investments and transactions are continuing with the expectation and increasing value of cryptocurrency. Accordingly, prediction for cryptocurrency price has been attempted through artificial intelligence technology and social sentiment analysis. The purpose of this paper is to develop a deep learning ensemble model for predicting the price fluctuations and one-day lag price of cryptocurrency based on the design science research method. This paper intends to perform predictive modeling on Ethereum among cryptocurrencies to make predictions more efficiently and accurately than existing models. Therefore, it collects data for five years related to Ethereum price and performs pre-processing through customized functions. In the model development stage, four LSTM models, which are efficient for time series data processing, are utilized to build an ensemble model with the optimal combination of hyperparameters found in the experimental process. Then, based on the performance evaluation scale, the superiority of the model is evaluated through comparison with other deep learning models. The results of this paper have a practical contribution that can be used as a model that shows high performance and predictive rate for cryptocurrency price prediction and price fluctuations. Besides, it shows academic contribution in that it improves the quality of research by following scientific design research procedures that solve scientific problems and create and evaluate new and innovative products in the field of information systems.

Using artificial neural network (ANN) technique, auction prices for common mackerel were forecasted with the daily total sale and auction price data at the Busan Cooperative Fish Market before introducing Total Allowable Catch (TAC) system, when catch data had no limit in Korea. Virtual input data produced from actual data were used to improve the accuracy of prediction and the suitable neural network was induced for the prediction. We tested 35 networks to be retained 10, and found good performance network with regression ratio of 0.904 and determination coefficient of 0.695. There were significant variations between training and verification errors in this network. Ideally, it should require more training cases to avoid over-learning, which leads to improve performance and makes the results more reliable. And the precision of prediction was improved when environmental factors including physical and biological variables were added. This network for prediction of price and catch was considered to be applicable for other fishes.

Oil and steel prices, which are major pricescosts in the shipbuilding industry, were predicted. Firstly, the error of the moving average line (N=3-5) was examined, and in all three error analyses, the moving average line (N=3) was small. Secondly, in the linear prediction of data through existing theory, oil prices rise slightly, and steel prices rise sharply, but in reality, linear prediction using existing data was not satisfactory. Thirdly, we identified the limitations of linear prediction methods and confirmed that oil and steel price prediction was somewhat similar to actual moving average line prediction methods. Due to the high volatility of major price flows, large errors were inevitable in the forecast section. Through the time series analysis method at the end of this paper, we were able to achieve not bad results in all analysis items relative to artificial intelligence (Prophet). Predictive data through predictive analysis using eight predictive models are expected to serve as a good research foundation for developing unique tools or establishing evaluation systems in the future. This study compares the basic settings of artificial intelligence programs with the results of core price prediction in the shipbuilding industry through time series prediction theory, and further studies the various hyper-parameters and event effects of Prophet in the future, leaving room for improvement of predictability.
There are many methods for analyzing patterns in time series data. Although stock data represents a time series, there are few studies on stock pattern analysis and prediction. Since people believe that stock price changes randomly we cannot predict stock prices using a scientific method. In this paper, we measured the degree of the randomness of stock prices using Kolmogorov complexity, and we showed that there is a strong correlation between the degree and the accuracy of stock price prediction using our semi-global alignment method. We transformed the stock price data to quantized string sequences. Then we measured randomness of stock prices using Kolmogorov complexity of the string sequences. We use KOSPI 690 stock data during 28 years for our experiments and to evaluate our methodology. When a high Kolmogorov complexity, the stock price cannot be predicted, when a low complexity, the stock price can be predicted, but the prediction ratio of stock price changes of interest to investors, is 12% prediction ratio for short-term predictions and a 54% prediction ratio for long-term predictions.

Recently, cryptocurrency has attracted much attention, and price prediction studies of cryptocurrency have been actively conducted. Especially, efforts to improve the prediction performance by applying the deep learning model are continuing. LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) model, which shows high performance in time series data among deep learning models, is applied in various views. However, it shows low performance in cryptocurrency price data with high volatility. Although, to solve this problem, new input features were found and study was conducted using them, there is a lack of study on input features that drop predictive performance. Thus, in this paper, we collect the recent trends of six cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin and Ethereum and analyze effects of input features on the cryptocurrency price predictive performance through statistics and deep learning. The results of the experiment showed that cryptocurrency price predictive performance the best when open price, high price, low price, volume and price were combined except for rate of closing price fluctuation.

The goal of stock investment is earning high rate or return with stability. To accomplish this goal, using a portfolio that distributes stocks with high rate of return with less variability and a stock price prediction model with high accuracy is required. In this paper, three methods are suggested to require these conditions. First of all, in portfolio re-balance part, Max-Return and Min-Risk (MRMR) model is suggested to earn the largest rate of return with stability. Secondly, Entering/Leaving Rule (E/L) is suggested to upgrade portfolio when particular stock's rate of return is low. Finally, to use outstanding stock price prediction model, a model based on Semi-Supervised Learning (SSL) which was suggested in last research was applied. The suggested methods were validated and applied on stocks which are listed in KOSPI200 from January 2007 to August 2008.
This study attempts to predict the price of gold futures, a real financial product, using ARIMA and LSTM. The wavelet analysis was applied to the data to predict the price of gold futures through LSTM and ARIMA. As results, it is confirmed that the prediction performance of the existing model of predict was improved. the case of predict of price of gold futures, we confirmed that the use of a deep learning model that is not affected by the non-stationary series data is suitable and the possibility of improving the accuracy of prediction through wavelet analysis.
