Because it possesses anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antiviral, and tissue regenerative properties, propolis has been used for thousands of years in folk medicine for multiple purposes. Although the antimicrobial activity of propolis has already been demonstrated, very few studies have been conducted on bacteria of clinical relevance in dentistry. The aim of this study is to evaluate the antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidative activities of 0.1% and 1.0% propolis, both of water-extracted (proAQ) and ethanol-extracted (proAL) propolis, for industrial applications. In studies of antimicrobial activity, the growth of Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 35556, Salmonella enteritidis ATCC 12021, Escherichia coli O157:H7, and Candida parapsilosis KCCM 35428, all general food or clinical pathogens, were tested. The culture medium used was trypticase soy broth including 0.6% yeast extract; after 6 hr of incubation, the turbidities were measured at 620 nm with a spectrophotometer. The results indicate that the antimicrobial effects of both 1.0% proAQ and 1.0% proAL were greater against the growth of S. aureus ATCC 35556 and C. parapsilosis KCCM 35428 rather than those of S. enteritidis ATCC 12021 and E. coli O157:H7. Additionally, it appears that the anti-inflammatory effects of proAL are greater than those of proAQ. The anti-inflammatory effects were evaluated by measurement of the inhibition of hyaluronidase activity in vitro. At a 1% concentration, the anti-inflammatory effects of proAL were greater than those of proAQ. Finally, the anti-oxidative effects of 1% and 10% solutions of each extract sample were measured according to the TBA method at $40^{\circ}C$ for 1, 2, 3, and 5 days and were compared with 1.0% BHT. The results indicate that the anti-oxidative effects at 0.1% for both proAQ and proAL were not significantly different than the anti-oxidative effects at 1.0% BHT (p<0.05). Thus, it appeared that the alcohol-extracted propolis had greater antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidative effects than the water-extracted propolis. This is based on the presumption that major biofunctional components were fat-soluble, rather than water-soluble.

The purpose of this study is to understand a compressive strength and propose a dry shrinkage strain equation being able to predict dry shrinkage of alkali-activated materials(AAM) mortar samples manufactured using fly-ash(FA) and ground granulated blast furnace slag(GGBFS). The main parameters investigated were the GGBFS replace ratios(30, 50, 70 and 100%) and sodium silicate modules(Ms[$SiO_2/Na_2O$] 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0). The compressive strength of AAM increased with increases GGBFS replace ratios or Ms contents. The dry shrinkage strain of AAM decreased with increases Ms contents. But, the dry shrinkage strain of AAM increased as the GGBFS replace ratio increases. Therefore, the GGBFS replace ratio seems to have very significant and important consequences for the mix design of the AAM mortar. The results indicated the R-square of single regression analysis based on each mix properties was the highest value; 0.7539~0.9786(average 0.9359). And the presumption equation of dry shrinkage strain with all variables(GGBFS, Ms and material age) has higher accuracy and its R-square was 0.8020 at initial curing temperature 23 degrees Celsius and 0.8018 at initial curuing temperature 70 degrees Celsius.

It can formulate a basic concept to the study on styles of drawing on animation which is influenced by styles of drawing on comic. Especially the transferability of comic and eel animation have high possibility because they have common part as drawing, continuity of imagery and narrative, in spit of the differentiation with comic for spatial and animation for temporal. So the study on comic drawing styles are inevitable check point for investigating it's animation. To analyse of the style of animation drawing, can be employed the styles of comic drawing. For a case study, comic authors and their works is utilized for establishing basic concept of transferring comic to animation with the influence of drawing styles to animation and than it will apply to classify and analyse animation by them. The consequence of this study, it can be sorted in the three areas that are the cheerful comic, the drama, the boy-meets-girl comic. and can be proved that the close relationship of comic and animation. Among three aspects, a boy-meets-girl comic can not be detected in any selected animations. The presumption of this result that can be apply to the general idea which is a rare case to use in animation. Also to use partly cheerful comic to drama style as different drawing styles is for elucidating the effect of intending isolation with the play theory of Bertolt Brecht and empathizing dramatical situation through the disparity of emotion. This study is to investigate on the influence of the drawing style of comics in animation, and can provide the basic ideas of inter-relation of media through drawing styles study with the concept of hybrid.
In this paper, the study model, which presents the patterns of how the changing mechanisms are adopted to the changing stages of smoking cessation, was developed by modifying the integrative model of Prochaska et al. (1983) with including seven changing mechanisms which were identified by Oh and Kim(1996). Then the developed study model was exploratively tested with 155 University student between 20 and 29 years of age as subjects. According to the study results. among the five mechanisms. which are significant in explaining the differences between stages. DUNCAN post-comparison showed that the least applied ones were Stimulus Control, Self Determinism, Cognitive Restructuring in the precomplation stage, and Reinforcement and Dramatic Relief. in the relapsed stage. In the comtemplation stage. it was observed that Dramatic Relief is used most frequently and that the other two mechanisms, Information Management and Cognitive Restructuring, showed different results from those inferred in the study hypothesis. In the case of Information Management, it was excluded from the analysis it was not included in explaining significant difference among changing stages, but Cognitive Reconstruction turns out to be a more frequently used mechanism in the action stage rather than in the comtemplation stage. Helping Relationship was also excluded in the post-comparison analysis since it was not included in explaining significant difference among changing stages and Reinforcement was a more frequently used mechanisms in the comtemplation stage. Stimulus Control turns out to be the connecting mechanism which was most frequently used in both the contemplation and action stages. Self Determination was most frequently used in the action stage rather than in both the comtemplation stage and action stage, differing from the presumption of the model. Lastly, subjects in the relapsed stage were utilizing Stimulus Control and Self Determination at the same level as subjects in the precontemplation stage. and the utilization of both Reinformcement and Dramatic Relief was lower than that of the precomtemplation stage, that is, at the lowest level. Only Cognitive Restructuring was used of the same level as the comtemplation stage. The relapsed stage in this study did not represent the preparation for action stage as presumed in the model of Prochaska et. al. (1983) but did show a pattern similar to the initial stage of smoking cessation. However, since this interpretation about the relapser was based on only a small number of relapsers(n=5), this conclusion may not be reliable.

In the design phase of sea-crossing bridge projects, ship collision problem is mostly participated in decision of substructure section and it would be performed by risk assessment and impact simulations. Ship collision risk is assessed by probability model which is similar to method II of Guide Specification and Commentary for Vessel Collision Design of Highway Bridge(AASHTO, 2009). However, several factors used in the applicable code are limited to inland waterways or have many local characteristics. Accordingly, it should be needed judgement of engineer or referred to related criteria, research finding. In this study risk assessment for In-cheon bridge and review of existing substructure's impact risk and resistance capacity are performed using the 2010's ship passage data. And then consideration regarding to presumption and applied instance of factors needed for risk assessment and related research findings are performed on the basis of AASHTO Guide's Method. As a result of study, adequate variable region of factors needed for risk assessment is defined and sensitivity analysis for appropriate region is performed. Consequently, factors that should be applied carefully or needed for direct analysis of local data are confirmed. This research could be fundamental material to risk assessment related to design for sea-crossing bridge taken into account ship collision.

Purpose: Cancerous death rate 1 place from 2008 year domestic is the lung cancer. The body count which is caused by in the lung cancer every year is increasing. At this lung cancer is the most non small cell lung cancer. $Monototal^{TM}$ test is short reaction time. it is known as the experiment where the example standard of living is high about non small cell lung cancer. This is the study evaluate usefulness of $Monototal^{TM}$ kit. Materials and Methods: $Monototal^{TM}$ were measured using IRMA kit, using 40 CEA positive patients sample which are diagnosed NSCLC, 15 SCC positive patients sample which are diagnosed NSCLC, 40 Cyfra 21-1 positive sample, 20 negative sample in Seoul national university from March to April, 2009. Results: According to result of the $Monototal^{TM}$ test, which is benignancy rate 87.5% in CEA positive patients sample, 93.3% SCC positive patients sample and 100% Cyfra 21-1 positive sample Conclusions: We recommend that using of $Monototal^{TM}$ parallel with different tumor markers. It was useful that diagnosis and convalescence presumption of Non small cell lung cancer.
Container cargos for import and export of Jeollabukdo are handled at Gunsan port, which just hold 6.60% of the total amount 264,120 TEU. The rest of them, reaching 94.40%, are handled at Gwangyang port(55.90%), Busan port(34.15%) and other(4.45%). Container cargos for import and export handled at Gunsan port are 31,715 TEU that hold only 0.20% of all cargos in Korea. On the other hand, container cargos for import and export handled at Shanghai and Qingdao port are 26,912 TEU which hold 80.15% of the total handling container cargos at Gunsan port. If 50% of container cargos produced in Jeollabukdo are handled at Gunsan port, the total handling container cargos will be 130,000 TEU. And if the container cargos reaching 1,947,069 TEU which are using other ports can be attracted to Gunsan port, it is expected that around 190,000 TEU will be increased in the quantity of goods. The total container cargos of Shanghai and Qingdao port not handled by the nearest ports are 383,184 TEU. If Jeollabukdo attract around 10% of those cargos into Gunsan port, about 38,000 TEU container cargos will be handled at Gunsan port.
The purpose of this study is to elucidate the emotion-understanding of Korean and thus to find out the importance of their way of self-expression by exploring the sentiment of Korean as regards their way of communications and self-expression therein. The method of this study is, being presumed the Cheong as the Korean's sentiment, to define the differences of concept between the Cheong traditionally used by them and the emotion employed in the psychology or the theory of consultation. And also, this study examines the aforementioned importance under the presumption that the Cheong in the Korean Culture makes it difficult that their emotion-understanding and self-expression to be perfect in their way of communication. In order to attain such purpose in this study, it investigates how they have seen the emotion-understanding and self-expression as to the way of communication throughout Carl G. Jung's psychology and T oegye Yi Hwang's theory of Human Mind and Nature respectively in the Occidental and Korean's Ideology. The most important thing, to be enlightened in this study, in the way of communication and self-expression are the emotion come from the big-Self(Self) in Carl G. Jung's psychology and that of the righteous sentiment from the human nature in T oegye Yi Hwang's theory of Human Mind and Nature. In conclusion, it reveals that our behavior, unvaryingly in the Orient and the Occident, is not the rational subject but the emotional one to be reacted only if our minds are attached mutually.
English contract law has traditionally taken the view that it is not the duty of the parties to a contract to give information voluntarily to each other. In English law, one of the principal distinctions between insurance contract law and general contract law is the existence of the duty of disclosure in insurance law. This article is, therefore, designed to analyse the scope or extent of the duty of disclosure and the remedy for breach of the duty in English marine insurance law. The main purpose of this article is also to seek the alternative remedy for the breach. The results of analysis are as following : First, the scope of the duty of disclosure is closely related to the test of materiality and the concept of a hypothetical prudent insurer. The assured is required to disclose only material circumstances subject to MIA 1906, s. 18(1). The test of materiality, which had caused a great deal of debate in English courts over 30 years, was finally settled by the House of Lords in Pan Atlantic and the House of Lords rejected the 'decisive influence' test and the 'increased risk' test, and the decision of the House of Lords is thought to accept the 'mere influence' test in subsequent case by the Court of Appeal. Secondly, an actual insurer is, in order to avoid contract, required to provide proof that he is induced to enter into the contract by reason of the non-disclosure of the assured. But this subjective test of actual inducement is somewhat meaningless in sense that English court takes the test of materiality as a starting point and assumes the presumption of inducement even in case of no clear proof on the inducement. Finally, MIA 1906, s. 18 provides expressly for the remedy of avoidance of the contract for breach of the duty of disclosure. This means rescission or retrospective avoidance of the entire contract, and the remedy is based upon a fairly crude 'all-or-nothing' approach. The remedy of rescission is too draconian from the point of view of the assured, because he can be deprived of all cover despite he is innocent perfectly. An inadvertent breach from an innocent mistake is as fatal as wilful concealment. What is, therefore, needed in English marine insurance law with respect to remedy for the breach is to introduce a more sophisticated or proportionate remedy ascertaining degrees of fault.

This paper presents the use of an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) as a viable means of forecasting Inundation Damage Area (IDA) in many watersheds. In order to develop the forecasting model with various environmental factors, we selected 108 watershed areas in South Korea and collected 49 damage data sets from 1990 to 2000, of which each set is composed of 27 parameters including the IDA, rainfall amount, and land use. After successful training processes of the ANN, a good agreement (R=0.92) is obtained (under present conditions) between the measured values of the IDA and those predicted by the developed ANN using the remaining 26 data sets as input parameters. The results indicate that the inundation damage is affected by not only meteorological information such as the rainfall amount, but also various environmental characteristics of the watersheds. So, the ANN proves its present ability to predict the IDA caused by an event of complex factors in a specific watershed area using accumulated temporal-spatial information, and it also shows a potential capability to handle complex non-linear dynamic phenomena of environmental changes. In this light, the ANN can be further harnessed to estimate the importance of certain input parameters to an output (e.g., the IDA in this study), quantify the significance of parameters involved in pre-existing models, and contribute to the presumption, selection, and calibration of input parameters of conventional models.
