객차내 환기속도가 고압 미세물분무 화재제어 시스템 성능에 미치는 영향에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study for the Effect of Ventilation Velocity on Performance of a High Pressure Water Mist Fire Suppression System)

  • This experiments are perfol1ned to investigate the effect of ventilation velocity on a high pressure water mist tire suppression in train. The experiment is conducted in half scale modeled train of a steel-welled enclosure (5.0m${\times}$2.4m${\times}$2.2m). The ventilation velocity is controlled by the ventilation duct through an inverter in the range of 0 to 3m/s. The coverage-radius and an injection angle of an high pressure water mist system are measured. The mist nozzle with 5-injection holes is operated with pressure 60bar. The heptane pool fires are used. The fire extinguishment times and the temperature are measured for the ventilation velocities. In conclusion, because the momentum of injected water mist is more dominant than that of ventilation air, the characteristics of water mist, the fire extinguishment times and the temperature are affected very little by ventilation velocity.

커먼레일 디젤엔진의 인젝터 클리닝이 배기가스에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Study of the effects of injector cleaning on the exhaust gases in a common rail diesel engine)

  • 디젤엔진의 사용은 루돌프 디젤에 의하여 발명된 이후 산업의 발달을 이끌어가는 중추적인 역할을 하고 있다. 2013년 기준으로 국내의 디젤엔진의 차량은 7,395,739대이다. 디젤엔진에서의 인젝터는 엔진의 구동에 직접적인 역활을 수행하기 때문에 성능향상에 대한 연구는 지속적으로 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구는 운행 중인 디젤차량의 매연의 농도와 인젝터 클리닝 전 후의 관계를 비교분석하기 위하여 인젝터 클리닝 전 후의 매연의 농도를 KD147 모드("운행차 수시점검 및 정기검사의 배출허용기준")로 측정하여 인젝터 클리닝이 매연 저감에 미치는 영향에 대하여 실험적으로 고찰하였다. 실험결과 인젝터 클리닝 후의 매연의 농도가 20% 이상 감소하는 것을 확인하였으며 매연의 농도의 감소율은 매연의 발생량이 클수록 증가하는 것으로 나타났다.

인몰드 코팅을 위한 2액형 폴리우레탄 공급장치 개발 (Development of two-component polyurethane metering system for in-mold coating)

  • Injection molded thermoplastic parts may need to be coated to facilitate paint adhesion, or to satisfy other surface property requirements, such as appearance, durability, and weather resistance. In this paper, a two-component polyurethane metering system was developed for the simultaneous injection and surface coating of a plastic substrate. The system was composed of storage tanks, feed pumps, axial piston pumps, mixing head. The tank was designed to be double-jacket structured and fabricated for polyol and isocyanate, respectively. A temperature chamber was used to maintain the material temperature to be $80^{\circ}C$ during flowing from storage tank to mixing head. Inside the chamber, feed pump, low pressure filter, high pressure pump, high pressure filter, pressure sensor, flow meter were installed. A mixing head of L-type was used for homogeneous mixing of polyol and isocyanate. Inside the mixing head, a cartridge heater and a temperature sensor were installed to control the temperature of the materials. The flow rate of axial-piston pump was controlled by using closed-loop feedback control algorithm. The input flow-rates were compared with the measured values. The output error was 6.7% for open-loop control, whereas the error was below 2.2% for closed-loop control. In addition, the pressure generated through mixing-head nozzle increased with increasing flow rate. It was found that the pressure drop between metering pump and mixing-head nozzle was almost 10 bar.

전자제어 커먼레일 압축착화엔진용 고압연료펌프의 DME 적용 성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the DME Application Performance of a High Pressure Fuel Pump for an Electric Controlled Common-rail Compression Ignition Engine)

  • Recently, the interest in the development of high efficiency Diesel engine technology using alternative fuel has been on the rise and related studies are being performed. Therefore, the DME(Dimethyl Ether), an oxygen containing fuel as an alternative fuel for light oil that can be used for diesel engines since it generates very little smoke. But it is unavoidable that the modification of a fuel supply system in an engine to application of the DME fuel because of DME fuel properties. So, in this study, a DME high pressure pump for a common-rail fuel supply system has been composed and the test results of the pump have been presented. As the results of the tests, it is confirmed that DME pump inlet pressure, pump speed and common-rail pressure effects on the volumetric efficiencies of the pump. Finally, it is defined that the optimum plunger volume of a DME pump has to be extended to the minimum 150% compared to a Diesel pump plunger volume considering DME fuel properties and volumetric efficiencies characteristics at same specifications of the high pressure pump.

  • The demand increasing of optical applications like as display devices derives interest for fabrication process. The product s development is apt to fabricate numerous thin and wide surfaces with micro pattern. Naturally that needs injection molding fabrication for the mass production. In existing manufacturing, the product quality is controlled by input fabrication condition from the outside. That can be called as a try and error method and not fundamentally solve the troubles; imperfect replication, war page, short shot, etc. To understand the cause and bring a solution, it is needed that check of changing in the cavity. This study can catch them. Data acquisition system about temperature and pressure distribution is settled and can get some data. From this research, other studies related with DAQ in cavity can start on the easier step.

  • 본 연구는 Connector Mold의 Termina (리브)에 가스 모임으로 인한 미성형 및 웰드라인이 생성되어 이를 방지하기 위해 과다한 사출압력, 금형온도 및 수지온도를 높이므로 Burr둥의 불량현상이 발생하게된다. 따라서 연구에서는 진공성형시스템을 응용한 Connector Mold를 개발하기 위하여 사출성형의 중요한 인자가 되는 용융수지온도, 금형온도, 냉각조건을 최적 조건에서 진공압을 체계적으로 제어함으로 각 캐비티의 깊은 글 부분의 미충전 부분을 진공화 하여 충전불량을 해소하면서, 싸이클 시간을 단축시킬 수 있는 진공시스템을 연구개발 성형가공에 적용함으로 우수한 제품과 생산성 향상의 효과를 얻을 수 있다.

  • Most of fuel-injection system operated with mechanical methods are difficult to control the injection quantity and injection timing as well as injection rate exactly. Moreover high pressure injection scheme is never be realized with conventional one. On the other hand, serious air pollution can be lessened with injection system equipped with those functions. Therefore, electronically controlled Unit Injuctor(UI) appeared to satify above mentioned desires. However, it is still difficult that the most important part, especially solenoid valve, is analyzed precisely, because of the existence of complex combination of electromagnetics, electrics and dynamic problems. In this study, experimental and theoretical analysis are accomplished for understanding of solenoid valve characteristics and further its design. As the result, the follows are obtained 1) As the increase of wire diameter, the response time became shorter and optimal inductance existed in relative with the response time and wire diameter. 2) According to increasing input voltage, the traction force increased, otherwise the response time was shortened. 3) As the increase of armature stroke, the traction force decreased and the response time became longer.

  • As the management of fuel efficiency becomes globally reinforced in attempts to find an environment-friendly vehicle that will operate against global warming, the interest in and the demand for the type of vehicle with a high-efficiency diesel engine using light oil. However, it also emits a greater amount of PM (particulate matter) and NOx than emissions from vehicles using other types of fuels. Therefore, the DME (Dimethyl Ether), an oxygen containing fuel draws attention as an alternative fuel for light oil that can be used for diesel engines since it generates very little smoke. But to develop and compare performance of an electric controlled common-rail DME engine, engine tests requires optimized injection conditions at required engine RPM and engine torque. These injection conditions cannot be set freely and the data configuration through the experimentally repeated application requires much time as well as a significant amount of errors and effort. The object of this study is to configure the basic injection map using the results of the DME engine experiments performed so far. For this, in this study, the functionalization of the required equations were performed along with the basic review of the factors that had influence on the data map. Through this, the information on the injection pressure, injection amount, injection duration, injection timing, etc. under certain operation condition could be obtained.

HILS기반 상용차 디젤엔진용 연료펌프의 전기구동 시스템 적용에 관한 연구 (Study on the Application of the Electric Drive System of Fuel Pump for Diesel Engine of Commercial Vehicle using HILS)

  • Fuel injection pressure has steadily increased in diesel engines for the purpose of improving fuel efficiency and cleaning exhaust gas, but it has now reached a point, where the cost for higher pressure does not warrant additional gains. Common rail systems on modern diesel engines have fuel pumps that are mechanically driven by crankshaft. The pumps actually house two pumping module inside: a low pressure pump component and a high pressure pump component. Part of the fuel compressed by the low pressure component returns to the tank in the process of maintaining the pressure in the common rail. Since the returning fuel represents pumping loss, fuel economy improves if the returned fuel can be eliminated by using a properly controled electrical fuel pump. As the first step in developing an electrical fuel pump the fuel supply system on a 6 liter diesel engine was modeled with AMESim to analyze the workload and the fuel feed rate of the injection pump, and the results served as basis for selecting a suitable servo motor and a reducer to drive the pump. A motor controller was built using a DSP and a program which controls the common rail pressure using a proportional control method based on the target fuel pressure information from the engine ECU. A test rig to evaluate performance of the fuel pump is implemented and used to show that the newly developed electrically driven fuel pump can satisfy the fuel flow demand of the engine under various operating conditions when the rotational speed of the pump is adequately controlled.

  • Resent removal work for road signs has been labor intensive and required times since it has been done manually using shaving type equipment. While traditional process is conducting, there are traffic jams caused by the passing control, and happened unexpected accidents to workers working at dangerous road circumstance. Besides, in current shaving method, there are high potentialities on the air pollution as well as the explosive accident occurred by using a propane gas. So, as an alternative, we have studied to develop the automatic erasing equipment made up with a high pressure water-jet system and automatic control system, mobile system; Wate-rjet system consists of an intensifier and nozzles to give a high pressure and spray on the sign, and automatic control system is composed of one axis robot using a hydraulic servo actuator controlled by a lever, And as a mobile system, a truck plays an important role for the transport of equipment and the forward movement in a removal process. In this paper, we have analyzed the characteristics of road signs and have investigated current erasing methods in the field. And we have organized and designed automatic erasing equipment, and we have made a basic experiment to find out the optimal spray condition as like the spray distance, spray angle and injection pressure.
