For improved preservation of boiled-dried anchovies, the current preservation method of corrugated-cardboard box packaging and freezing below -18$^{\circ}C$ was compared to the nylon/polyethylene(NY/PE) packaging along with cooling temperature ranging from 5$^{\circ}C$ to 1$0^{\circ}C$ as well as ambient condition for eight months by determining physicochemical quality of stored samples. Lipid oxidation of stored anchovies and their browning increased with storage time. The phenomenon was delayed under the conditions of lower temperature and air-tight packaging. As quality-indicative criteria of stored anchovies, carbonyl value(r=-0.989), browning (r=-0.949) and color a value(r=-0.989), browning(r=-0.965), Hunter's color b value(r=-0.949) and color a value(r=-0.940) showed a highly-negative correlations with organoleptic qualities of the samples. Based on the above results, air-tight packaging in a laminated film and subsequent storage at cooling temperature was found to be a possible alternative to the current freezing-storage of boiled-dried anchovies from the physicochemical point of view.
A new possibility for helping regional residents to establish the identity based on the history, culture and environment of the region and harmonizing art and culture in daily life can be seen from eco-museum. Unique cultural inheritances for each region exist not only in our nation but everywhere around the world, and Cheonan region is continuously attracting tourists from other regions as a home of the Independence Hall, Yu Gwan Sun Memorial, and live branches of independent activists with important inheritances such as tourist attractions and national treasures. However, despite unique environment of the region and inheritances with high academic values, lack of basic guides and explanations place the region in an environment that is difficult to approach. The purpose of this study is to systematically investigate regional inheritances based on the concept of eco-museum as an alternative for such problem recognition and to examine problems of inheritances scarred around Cheonan region based on their current status. The author of this study aims to analyze the investigated regional inheritances, rearrange their values and suggest possibilities for continued preservation and utilization.
New environment change of electric power system focused in consumer's energy supply and demand. But electric power reliability preservation and reliability improvement countermeasure also need for long-term. It is need that change equipments that is composing electric power system in well-timed time and by maintaining, prevent breakdown beforehand and prevent consumer's power interruption by equipment fail. However, as only quantitative estimation is available by reliability estimation method that is presented in existing, it is no to use in dictionary fault prevention. Therefore, applied optimum reliability preservation through existent equipment fault data analysis of electric power system in equipment replace side, and this when maintain equipment replace of electric power system for reliability preservation using responsiveness analysis to base ordering evaluate. In existing about main equipment plain that this paper is power system the valued failure rate use this by score and precedence of electric power system equipment for replace of system considered expense.

The results of this study can be summarized as follows; 1. Roles of flood plain as biotop (restoration, preservation, and creation of stream corridor ecosystem) should be considered. 2. Application methods considering environmental and scenic values should be reviewed. 3. Application methods reflecting values as regional ecological resources should be planned. 4. Preservation and application should be considered together, and obtaining a means of living for regional residents and creation of economic profits should be considered together. 5. Land application and approach method by usages (integrated management model) should be applied to utilize and manage flood plain efficiently. 6. Flood plain application programs should be designed reflecting opinions of regional residents. 7. With respect to space planning of flood plain, introduction of facilities focused on ecosystem preservation/ecosystem restoration/experiences/observation/learning/culture/ recreation/water purification could be reviewed positively.
Advances in silage technology, including precision chop forage harvesters, improved silos, polyethylene sheeting, shear cutting silo unloaders, and the introduction of total mixed rations, have made silage the principal method of forage preservation. A better understanding of the biochemistry and microbiology of the four phases of the ensiling process has also led to the development of numerous silage additives. Although acids and acid salts still are used to ensile low-DM forages in wet climates, bacterial inoculants have become the most widely used silage additives in the past decade. Commercial inoculants can assure a rapid and efficient fermentation phase; however, in the future, these products also must contribute to other areas of silage management, including the inhibition of enterobacteria, clostridia, and yeasts and molds. Nonprotein nitrogen additives have the problems of handling, application, and reduced preservation efficiency, which have limited their wide spread use. Aerobic deterioration in the feedout phase continues to be a serious problem, especially in high-DM silages. The introduction of competitive strains of propionic acid-producing bacteria, which could assure aerobically stable silages, would improve most commercial additives. New technologies are needed that would allow the farmer to assess the chemical and microbial status of the silage crop on a given day and then use the appropriate additive(s).
In this study, the relation of the preservation efficacy reduction with methyl paraben of parahydroxybenzoic acid derivatives was investigated using the dialysis membrane method with tween-80 of surfactant and $TiO_2/Talc$ of inorganic powder meterial from emulsion system. It was found that the preservation efficacy of tween-80 and $TiO_2/Talc$ from emulsion system was reduced due to the adsorption of methyl paraben. According to the microbe test, In case of tween-80, MBC appeared in 0.19 w/v% and in case of $TiO_2/Talc$, MBC appeared in 0.22w/v% / 0.23w/v%. In general, the equation of Talc's adsorption weight($A{\cdot}W$) has a tendency to show in $A{\cdot}W=11.5C^{0.745}$
Cultural heritages are affected by various environmental factors. Main factors are temperature, humidity, light and indoor air pollutants such as ozone, nitrogen oxides. Especially humidity condition is very important. Low humidity condition can cause contraction and high humidity condition can lead to growth of microorganism. This study is conducted to appraise an applicability of the Humidity Indicator which is one of the simple method for humidity control. The Humidity Indicator shows the humidity conditions through color change. Therefore, photometer was used to correctly measure the color change of Humidity Indicator. As a result of lab test, Humidity Indicators was stabilized after one hour from en exposure in a certain humidity condition and the indicators indicated clear correlations between color changes of Humidity Indicators and humidity conditions. Some Humidity Indicators which had been selected through the lab tests were applied to preservation facilities of cultural heritages and the indicators indicated closed correlations with humidity conditions in indoor of facilities.
Allograft cardiac valves have been used for over 30 years to replace diseased cardiac valves, reconstruct right or left ventricular outflow tract. With increasing its requirement, the establishment of a viable bank capable of maintaining the viability of graft over a prolonged period would be desirable. The method for determining the viability of allograft by metabolic assay technique using radiolabeled aminoacids has been used recently. An experimental study was done for evaluation of viability of cardiac allograft which was preserved for 14 days at 4oC in nutrient medium[fresh preservation] by metabolism assay technique using 3H-glycine. Also, the effectiveness of low concentration antibiotic solution[CLPV] for sterilization was evaluated. The effectiveness of CLPV solution for sterilization of allograft was perfect. Pre-treatment cultured organisms were not cultured after treatment at all in every cases. The viability of allograft after sterilization was reduced to 66.4%[aortic wall], 74.7%[pulmonary wall], 76.3%[aortic valve], 67.9%[aortic wall]. And after the fresh preservation for 14 days, the viability was reduced to 14.7%, 18.5%, 17.7%, 19.0%, respectively. In conclusion, viability of allograft was reduce to 71.3[66.4-76.3]% after sterilization and 17.5[14.7-19.0]% after fresh preservation. And sterilization effect of CLPV solution was satisfactory.
Many historical archives have been deteriorated by aging with time. Various kinds of defects such as worm-hole, yellowing, brittleness are observed and their severity was dependent on raw material type, storage condition, and so on. For a long-term use and storage, a proper preservation treatment is required. Many studies on preservation and conservation have been carried out on hanji which was made from mulberry fiber, but there are few concerns on foreign paper. Therefore, aging and chemical strengthening treatment was done on paper made of bamboo and wood fibers depending on aging condition, the type and pickup weight of chemicals and treatment method. When methyl cellulose was treated with impregnation or brushing, the aged paper was strengthened effectively. The strengthening effect by chemicals was dependent on the aged condition of the paper.
The effects of microwave treatment on the perservation of foods, such as a seaweed soup and sea stoned radish shreds, were studied. Microwave treatment of microbial cell suspensions revealed that viable cells decreased dramatically when heated to 6$0^{\circ}C$. However, it was unlikely that microwave treatment to 60 is enough to decrease the viable cell counts efficiently in a seaweed soup and radish shreds. It was thought that microwave heating to at least 7$0^{\circ}C$ as a final temperature was an important factor to reduce microbial cell counts in foods. When foods were heated to 7$0^{\circ}C$ with a repetitive 15 sec "on" followed by 30 sec "off", no big differences were observed in viable counts during storage at 2$0^{\circ}C$ for 3 days, as compared to those treated with a full power. The microwave treatment with three stages was designed to solve problems associated with variations depending on food volumes and difficulties of heat diffusion in a solid food to be irradiated with a microwave oven. The three stage method was found to have a similar efficiency in the reduction of viable cell counts in foods to microwave treatment at a full power and to conventional methods, such as water bath heating or boiling for 3 min with a gas range.in with a gas range.
