비선형 회귀 분석을 이용한 부유식 해양 구조물의 중량 추정 모델 연구 (A Study on the Weight Estimation Model of Floating Offshore Structures using the Non-linear Regression Analysis)

  • The weight estimation of floating offshore structures such as FPSO, TLP, semi-Submersibles, Floating Offshore Wind Turbines etc. in the preliminary design, is one of important measures of both construction cost and basic performance. Through both literature investigation and internet search, the weight data of floating offshore structures such as FPSO and TLP was collected. In this study, the weight estimation model was suggested for FPSO. The weight estimation model using non-linear regression analysis was established by fixing independent variables based on this data and the multiple regression analysis was introduced into the weight estimation model. Its reliability was within 4% of error rate.

  • 본 논문은 전기연구원에서 수행한 1차년도 조사인 수용가별 정전비용 산정에 대한 자료를 바탕으로 각 수용가별 적정 예비전원 설비 구축비용의 산정에 대해 논의하고자 한다. 각 수용가별 적정 예비 전원설비비용을 산정하기 위해 우선적으로 정전 시 수용가가 필요로 하는 예비전력량과 평균 정전시간에 대해 조사될 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 1차년도 조사 자료를 바탕으로 수행되었기 때문에 1차년도 자료에서의 사용전력량 전체를 예비전력량으로 계산하도록 하였다. 각 수용가별 예비전력량으로부터 설치될 UPS 용량과 비상발전기 용량을 선정한다. 평균정전시간은 각 수용가별로 조사된 정전시간으로부터 평균값을 구하여 절상하도록 하였다. 선정된 UPS 용량과 비상발전기 용량으로부터 설치비용을 계산한다. 본 과제에서는 2011년 표준품셈과 2011년 시중노임단가를 참고로 설치비용을 계산하였다. 산출된 수용가별 설치비용과 이전에 조사된 정전비용으로부터 회수기간을 구하였고, 이 값을 지표로하여 각 수용가별 예비전원설비에 대한 타당성을 판단하였다.

  • The weight estimation of floating offshore structures such as FPSO, TLP, semi-Submersibles, Floating Offshore Wind Turbines etc. in the preliminary design, is one of direct measures of both construction cost and basic performance. Through both literature investigation and internet search, the weight data of floating offshore structures such as FPSO and TLP was collected. In this study, the weight estimation model with the genetic programming was suggested for FPSO. The weight estimation model using genetic programming was established by fixing the independent variables based on this data. In addition, the correlation analysis was performed to make up for the weak points of genetic programming; it is apt to induce over-fitting when the number of data is relatively smaller than that of independent variables. That is, by reducing the number of variables through the analysis of the correlation between the independent variables, the increasing effect in the number of weight data can be expected. The reliability of the developed weight estimation model was within 2% of error rate.

Analytical Studies on Seismic Performance of Multi-Story Coupled Piping System in a Low-Rise Building

  • The construction costs for nonstructural systems such as mechanical/electrical equipment, ceiling system, and piping system occupy a significant proportion of the total cost. These nonstructural systems can also cause considerable economic losses and loss of life during and after an earthquake. Therefore, reduction of seismic risk of nonstructural components has been emerging as a key aspect of research in recent year. The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the seismic performance of a single-story and multi-story piping system installed in low-rise building and to identify the seismic vulnerability of the current piping systems. The seismic performance evaluation of the piping systems was conducted with 5 different earthquakes to account for the ground motion uncertainty and the preliminary results demonstrated that the maximum displacements of each floor in the multi-story piping system increased linearly with increasing floor level in the building system. This study revealed that the current design piping systems are significantly sensitive to the effect of floor height, which stress the necessity to improve the seismic performance of the current piping systems by, for example, strengthening with seismic sway bracing using transverse/longitudinal bracing cables or hangers.

노인들을 위하여 급변하는 건축적 O.D.L과 I.D.L (Quickly Changing Architectural O.D.L and I.D.L for the Aged)

  • Some companies of domestic construction indicate recently that modern life for the aged prefer an advanced technical alliance between O.D.L and I.D.L systems. It means the quality of housing life of the aged has been raised and changed quickly as well as the O.D.L and I.D.L systems since the last year. These preliminary studies suggest that the aged people in the country suffer from insufficient O.D.L and I.D.L systems caused by nation-wide economic poverty compared with the aged people in Seoul. The information from the country has been restricted for several decades therefore some details of the results of the studies are at times difficult to believe and differ depending on the research methods. The purpose of this study is to clarify the quality housing life of the aged, based on the comparative analysis between the O.D.L and I.D.L systems. The quality of housing life of the aged in countryside has been revealed by the clarification of the conditions housing supply, facilities, and therefore housing the cost amount. The conclusions are as follows ; The quickly changing architectural O.D.L elements are presented below in 17 items, while the I.D.L elements are presented in 18 items.

비도시지역 디지털 지리정보 구축을 위한 기초연구 (A Preliminary Study for Implementation of Digital Geographic Information in Non-Urban Area)

  • 본 연구는 비도시지역 디지털 지리정보구축 추진을 위한 중장기 기본계획안에 대한 연구를 수행하여 도출된 제도적 기반 확립을 통해, 비도시지역을 중심으로 한 디지털 지리정보구축을 토대로 전국토가 세계화 개방화 정보화 시대에 대응할 수 있도록 기초자치단체의 정보화를 강화하고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 중장기 계획안은 1/1,000 수치지도와 영상지도, 수치표고모형을 동시에 제작함으로써 1단계에서 디지털 지리정보 구축 및 유지관리 조직 구성, 비도시지역 공간정보인프라 구축, 관련법규 정비 및 지역협의회 구성의 기반정보를 구축하고, 2단계에서는 디지털 지리정보 구축확산, 지리정보유통 활성화, 공간데이터웨어하우스 구축, 도시계획종합관리시스템 구축 및 3차원공간정보시스템 구축의 정보화 확산 및 3단계에서는 지리정보 현행화 및 유지관리, 부가가치정보 생산, 행정업무의 고도화 및 대민서비스 극대화를 통한 정보 고도화를 실현함으로써 시군구/시도/중앙정부의 통합지리정보의 기반이 되는 지리정보를 구축 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

고속철도 개통이 항공여객 수요변화에 미치는 영향 분석 - 서울-제주간 노선을 중심으로 - (Analysis on the effect of the opening of high speed rail way on the change in the air passenger's demand - Focused on Seoul and Jeju line -)

  • Competition between air transportation and railways has grown fiercer in major countries around the world with the rise of high-speed railways. In South Korea, air passenger travel has been rapidly decreasing since the initial launch of the Seoul-Pusan KTX line in 2004 and second opening that followed in 2010. Further expansion of the high-speed railway is expected. At present, research efforts to verify the validity of constructing an underwater express railway tunnel between Ho-nam and Jeju Island are taking place. Considering the possible high speed railway connection between Seoul and Jeju Island, this thesis has analyzed the choice behavior of existing passengers of the major and low-cost carriers. For this, Stated Preference (SP) research has been performed for three variables, including fare, travel time and the number of runs, to estimate the substitution rate of each of the three variables. Binomial Logit Model has been estimated with the obtained data. The estimation of the model has found that airline passengers of major and low-cost carriers are willing to pay approximately 7,200 KRW and 5,000 KRW, respectively, to reduce travel time by one hour. If the number of runs in one day increases, it has been estimated that the passengers are willing to pay additional fares of about 390 KRW and 30 KRW, respectively. On the other hand, the substitution rate between the number of runs and the travel time was found to be somewhat insignificant. If the construction of the Seoul-Jeju line progresses in the future, this study could be used as preliminary data for determining fares, travel time and the number of runs.

EMI database analysis focusing on relationship between density and mechanical properties of sedimentary rocks

  • The Earth Mechanics Institute (EMI) was established at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) in 1974 to develop innovations in rock mechanics research and education. During the last four decades, extensive rock mechanics research has been conducted at the EMI. Results from uniaxial compressive strength (UCS), Brazilian tensile strength (BTS), point load index (PLI), punch penetration (PP), and many other types of tests have been recorded in a database that has been unexamined for research purposes. The EMI database includes over 20,000 tests from over 1,000 different projects including mining and underground construction, and analysis of this database to identify relationships has been started with preliminary results reported here. Overall, statistically significant correlations are identified between bulk density and mechanical strength properties through UCS, BTS, PLI, and PP testing of sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic rocks. In this paper, bulk density is considered as a surrogate metric that reflects both mineralogy and porosity. From this analysis, sedimentary rocks show the strongest correlation between the UCS and bulk density, whereas metamorphic rocks exhibit the strongest correlation between UCS and PP. Data trends in the EMI database also reveal a linear relationship between UCS and BTS tests. For the singular case of rock coral, the database permits correlations between bulk density of the core versus the deposition depth and porosity. The EMI database will continue under analysis, and will provide additional insightful and comprehensive understanding of the variation and predictability of rock mechanical strength properties and density. This knowledge will contribute significantly toward the increasingly safe and cost-effective geostructures and construction.

약액주입 시 형성된 고결체의 수치해석 기법 연구 (A Study on Numerical Technique of the Hardened Grout Formed by Grouting)

  • 최근 가압 그라우팅 형식의 약액주입공법이 지반의 지반개량, 차수, 강도 증대 등의 목적으로 널리 쓰이고 있다. 이에 지반조건에 따른 고결체의 크기 및 형상을 측정하여 적정 주입압 및 주입시간을 정하는 것은 경제적이고 합리적인 시공을 위해 필수적이다. 그러나, 현장에서 시험시공을 통한 고결체 채취는 시간과 비용이 많이 소모되며, 그라우팅 공법을 적용한 지반에 고결체의 크기와 형상을 예측한 시스템은 현재까지 없다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 물유리계 약액을 사용하여 주입압(50kPa, 100kPa, 150kPa)에 따른 실내모형주입시험을 실시하고 이를 전산유체역학(CFD)의 porous media모델과 VOF(Volume of Fluid) 기법을 이용한 수치해석을 실시하여 비교 분석하였다. 수치해석 결과, VOF 기법을 이용한 주입모사는 지중 속에 주입된 가압 그라우팅의 거동 및 고결 양상을 예측할 수 있는 기초적인 수치해석적 기법이 될 것으로 판단된다.

북극권 자원개발 건설환경 조사를 위한 위성 영상 분석 기법 연구 - 캐나다 앨버타주 대상 (Study of Satellite Image Analysis Techniques to Investigate Construction Environment Analysis of Resource Development in the Arctic Circle - Alberta, Canada)

  • 북극권은 막대한 양의 화석연료와 광물자원이 매장되어 있어 개발과 건설 사업이 활발히 추진되고 있다. 전 지구적으로 기후변화에 적극적으로 대응하기 위해 노력하고 있으나, 여전히 천연자원의 의존도는 매우 높다. 본 논문에서는 북극권 국가 중 비전통(오일샌드) 에너지·자원개발이 활발히 진행 중인 캐나다(앨버타주)를 대상으로 조사연구를 수행하였다. 광범위한 지역에 대한 조사비용과 시간을 절감하기 위하여 위성영상을 활용하여 토지피복도를 작성하였다. 토지피복도의 픽셀을 계산하는 방식으로 캐나다(앨버타주) 오일샌드 개발 활동이 활발히 진행되고 있는 지역의 계절별 건설환경(지표 온도 변화, 적설분포 면적 등) 자료를 구축하였다. 본 논문에서 수행한 조사·분석 방법론은 북극권 자원 개발 사업의 성공적 추진과 운영을 위한 전략수립, 기본 설계 등에 활용될 것으로 기대한다.
