Purpose: Prefabricated modular space such as a container construction has recently been interested unlike the conventional construction method, and their scale have expanded from small buildings such as cafes, houses and pensions to shopping centers, complex cultural spaces where shows and exhibitions are possible doing. In this way, the container is in the spotlight as an advantage such as mobility, flexibility, correspondence, economic efficiency, recyclability and so on. However, there are no specific guidelines and standard design methods in aspects of structural calculation, functional insulation and environmental configuration. Therefore, as the first step to resolve these problems, this study has focused on the field of environmental performance of container construction, presented appropriate guidelines and searched ways to improve performances. Method: For this study, seven types of the modular building were chosen and compared, and their energy performances have been analyzed using a proven simulation tool. Essential methodology and terminology were examined to estimate and judge their efficiency. Result: In conclusion, energy performances depend on specific configuration of combined unit spaces, and design guidelines cold be set up for promoting their use in the practical field.

본 연구는 재난 상황 발생 후 이재민들에게 임시 주거용 공간을 손쉽게 제공하기 위한 임시 주거용 프리패브 모듈라 구조를 제안하기 위해서 진행하였다. 이를 위해 관련 디자인 개념 및 실행을 위해 국내에 등록된 조립식 구조물이나 프리패브 구조와 관련된 다양한 특허를 검색하고 수집하였으며, 이를 특성별로 분류하였다. 결과적으로 임시 주거용 프리패브 모듈라 구조의 공간은 "확장성", "조립 및 해체의 용이성", "빌트인 구조", 그리고 "에너지 효율성"과 같은 추가적인 주요 요인에 대해서도 고려해야 하며, 각 사례는 "세부 조립 모듈형", "모듈형 확장형", "공간 유닛 확장형"의 3가지의 형식으로 구분되었다. 향후 연구에서는 해외 특허를 대상으로 다양한 사례를 수집하고 분석할 예정이며, 이를 통해 가능한 낮은 생산 단가로 양산 및 제공할 수 있도록 구체적인 구현 방법에 대해서도 제안하고자 한다.

Though a variety of demands for an green dwelling, it is hard to diffuse a wooden house due to high construction cost. So this study aims to diffuse to propose a space modular for production and supply. Therefore the result of investigation to the space modular of each room through the survey of width and depth in the type of dwelling in korea is as follows. 1) Investigated the mixture of magnitude on the total width and depth, the survey is showed commonly 3.6m and 4.2m. 2) Once the depth is 3.6m, a living room and inner room, room's width is 3.9m, 4.5m. Once the depth is 4.2m, those width is 4.8m. 3) By use of a survey, the post distances consisted of all rooms are 3.6m, 3.9m, 4.2m, 4.5m, 4.8m. The result of investigation to possibility for mixture applied to six level types invested post modules to the wooden house of post & Beam method is as follows. 1) With the regularity of depth and simplicity of width, It is potential to compound floor plan in korea. 2) It is possible to plan an informal shape of kitchen+dining room which is a spare space available for the merit changeable space after arranged main rooms. 3) It is possible to plan a space through a variety of mixture method at bathroom. Thus, it is possible for a variety of floor formations to build a low-cost wooden house through five types of post distance.

본 연구는 다양한 환경에서 임시 주거를 위한 공간을 쉽게 구성하는 방법을 분석한다. 이를 위해 모듈라 조립식 건축 구조의 사례를 분석하고 임시 주거 공간을 형성할 수 있는 다양한 해결 방안을 탐색한다. 본 연구를 통해 예측이 불가능한 다양한 상황에서 사용자의 안정적 생활 환경을 위한 주거 공간을 구축하기 위해 다양한 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 이와 관련된 다양한 해외의 특허 사례를 수집하고 분석하여 다음과 같이 총 4가지의 그룹으로 그 결과를 도출하였다. 이는 1) 소규모 부품을 활용한 조립 방식, 2) 프리패브 모듈의 적층 방식, 3) 공간 확장 방식, 그리고 4) 세부요소의 제작 방식으로 구분될 수 있으며, 이를 기반으로 향후 보다 더 저비용 및 효율적으로 구축이 가능한 프리패브 임시 주거 공간의 구조를 연구하고자 한다.
