In this paper, we propose a hierarchical application traffic classification system as an alternative means to overcome the limitations of the port number and payload based methodologies, which are traditionally considered traffic classification methods. The proposed system is a new classification model that hierarchically combines a binary classifier SVM and Support Vector Data Descriptions (SVDDs). The proposed system selects an optimal attribute subset from the bi-directional traffic flows generated by our traffic analysis system (KU-MON) that enables real-time collection and analysis of campus traffic. The system is composed of three layers: The first layer is a binary classifier SVM that performs rapid classification between P2P and non-P2P traffic. The second layer classifies P2P traffic into file-sharing, messenger and TV, based on three SVDDs. The third layer performs specialized classification of all individual application traffic types. Since the proposed system enables both coarse- and fine-grained classification, it can guarantee efficient resource management, such as a stable network environment, seamless bandwidth guarantee and appropriate QoS. Moreover, even when a new application emerges, it can be easily adapted for incremental updating and scaling. Only additional training for the new part of the application traffic is needed instead of retraining the entire system. The performance of the proposed system is validated via experiments which confirm that its recall and precision measures are satisfactory.

In citation analysis, author names are often used as the unit of analysis and some authors are indexed under the same name in bibliographic databases where the citation counts are obtained from. There are many techniques for author name disambiguation, using supervised, unsupervised, or semisupervised learning algorithms. Unsupervised approach uses machine learning algorithms to extract necessary bibliographic information from large-scale databases and digital libraries, while supervised approaches use manually built training datasets for clustering author groups for combining them with learning algorithms for author name disambiguation. The study examines various techniques for author name disambiguation in the hope for finding an aid to improve the precision of citation counts in citation analysis, as well as for better results in information retrieval.

This study was designed to measure the absorbed dose to organs of special interest from full mouth with intraoral film(l4 films) and to compare the five periapical techniques. Thermoluminescent crystals(TLD-100 chip) were located in brain, orbit, bone marrow of mandibular ramus, bone marrow of mandibular body, bone marrow of 4th cervical spine, parotid gland, submandibular gland and thyroid gland. X -ray machine was operated at 70kVp and round collimating film holding device(XCP) and rectangular collimating film holding device(Precision Instrument) were used. The distance from the X-ray focus to the open end of the collimator was 8 inch, 12 inch and 16 inch. The results were as follows : 1. The absorbed dose was the highest in bone marrow of mandibular body(5.656mGy) and the lowest in brain (0.050mGy). 2. Generally, the lowest absorbed dose was measured from 16 inch cylinder, rectangular collimating film holding device with paralleling technique. But, in bone marrow of mandibular body and the floor of mouth, the highest absorbed dose was measured from 12 inch cylinder, rectangular collimating film holding device with paralleling techniques. 3. Comparing of five intraoral radiographic techniques, it was appeared statistically significant reduction of the absorbed doses measured with rectangular collimating film holding device compared to XCP film holding device (P<0.05). 4. No statistically significant reduction in the absorbed dose was found as cylinder length was changed(P>0.05).
Statement of Problems. The precision of fit between the bearing surfaces of implant abutments and the prosthesis framework has been considered fundamental to implant prosthodontic protocol. Purpose. The study aimed to investigate the effect of laboratory procedure on the dimensional accuracy of cast implant bars. Material and methods Thirty implant bars were fabricated on a metal master model. The gap distances were measured at the right implant abutment replica-gold cylinder interface after casting procedure. The bar length data of precasting and postcasting state were collected and analyzed. Results. The mean gap distance found after casting was $106.3{\mu}m$ for buccal side, $122.1{\mu}m$ for distal side and $117.1{\mu}m$ for the lingual side. The mean bar length was $17964.7{\mu}m$ at precasting measurement, $17891.6{\mu}m$ at postcasting measurement. The mean change of bar length was $-73.1{\mu}m$. Conclusion. Even though the techniques used in this study strictly followed the guidelines established in the literature, the 30 cast implant bars evaluated all yielded gap distances that were beyond acceptable accuracy. There was a statistically significant difference between precasting and postcasting bar length (P<0.01). There was a decreasing tendency in bar length after casting procedure. It was necessary to correct this dimensional change from laboratory procedure by some corrective methods.
The purpose of this study was to develop a buckling analysis technique for a windpower system structure under environmental loadings (hydrostatic pressure) using FEM. We analyzed an isotropic material and composite material and made a comparison using buckling pressure formulas. First, finite element analyses for an isotropic material (SC410) were performed to obtain the variation of buckling pressure for the number of elements and boundary conditions in a pressure-shell model, and the numerical results were compared with those of existing empirical formulas. Then, additional finite element analyses based on the results of the isotropic material (SC410) were performed to determine the optimum lamination angle and pattern for a composite material (URN300). The results of the FE analyses for the composite material were also compared with those of existing empirical formulas. The ply orientations (lamination angles) used in the FE analyses were $0^{\circ}$, $15^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$, $75^{\circ}$, and. The lamination patterns in the FE analyses were and. The lamination pattern was assumed to be the equivalent model of. The results of the FE analyses for the isotropic material (SC410) indicated that the optimal values for the number of elements and the boundary conditions were 6000 and both simply supported, respectively. The results of the FE analyses for the composite material (URN300) showed that the optimal ply orientation was $60^{\circ}{\sim}75^{\circ}$.

In this paper, we introduce the design method using CAE(Computer Aided Engineering) which is profitable in the compatibility and standardization of the developed product and in the reduction of construction time and price to develop and design a machine equipment. Particularly, we select the standard model to design ot develop from the large machinery to the super precision one, extract the peculiar characters of the model by the close analysis of the physical and technical part, can predict the previous result of experimental characteristics on objective dimensions through the analogical mathematical analysis, and can induce the design model demanded by user investigating optimal data in advance. We present the analogical algorithms and process method of design factors and restriction factors in the systematization design with computer. Then we analyze step functions for each systematization equipment and induce the process of technical data with actuator model.
Due to the recent quantum leaps forward in bio-, nano-, and information-technologies (BT, NT and IT), the precisionization and miniaturization of mechanical and electrical components are in high demand. In particular, the ITrelated equipments that take a great part in our domestic industry are in the area requiring high precision technologies. As a consequence, the researches on the development vibration isolation systems that diminish external disturbance or internal vibration are highly required. Among the components comprising the vibration isolation system, air spring has become on a focal point for the researchers due to its merits. This air spring is able to support heavy loads, keep a low natural frequency despite of having a lower value of stiffness, and control the performance of vibration isolation. However, sometimes the sole use of air spring is in demand due to some economic reasons. Under this circumstance, the damping effect of sole air spring may not enough to reduce sufficient amount of vibration. In this study, the air spring mount system connecting with an external chamber is proposed to increase or control the damping effect. To investigate its damping mechanism, the thermal and dynamic behaviors of the system is examined through a theoretical modeling approach in this part of research. In this approach, thermomechanical and Helmholtz resonator type models are to be employed for the air spring/external chambers and connecting tube system, respectively. The frequency response functions (FRFs) derived from the modeling effort are evaluated with physical parametric values and the effects of connecting tube length on these FRFs are identified through computer simulations.

An optimized PI controller design method is presented to promote the control performance of an oil cooler system for high precision machine tools. First, a transfer function model of the oil cooler system with a variable rotating speed compressor was obtained by the perturbation method as the first order system with a negligible dead time. Then, the closed-loop control system was described as the second order system with a zero. Its dynamic behaviors are mostly governed by characteristic parameters, the damping ratio, and the natural frequency which is incorporated in PI gains. Next, an optimum integral of the time-weighted absolute error (ITAE) criterion was applied to the second order system. The characteristic parameters can be determined by the given design specifications, percent overshoots and settling times and comparisons with the ITAE criterion. Hence, the PI gains were plainly identified in a deterministic way. Finally, the PI gains were fine-tuned to obtain desirable dynamics in real systems, considering the zero effect and parameter variations. The validity of the proposed method was proven by computer simulations and real experiments for selected cases.

Owing to the development of CNC machine tools and automatic programing software, the milling process with ball-end mill has become the most widely used process where three-dimensional precision machining is important. In this study, the ball-end milling process has been analyzed and a cutting force model has been developed to predict the cutting force acting on the ball-end mill on given machining conditions. The development of the model is based on the analysis of geometry of a ball-end mill an the oblique cutting process. The cutting edges of ball-end mills are considered as a series of infinitesimal elements and the geometry of the cutting edge element each cutting edge element is straight. The oblique cutting process in the small cutting edge element has been analyzed as orthogonal cutting process in the plane containing the cutting velocity vector and chip-flow vector. Hence, with the orthogonal cutting data obtained from orthogonal turning test, the cutting forces can be predicted through the model. The predicted cutting forces has shown a fairly good agreement with the test results in various plane cutting conditions.

Membrane electrode assembly (MEA) for polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC) are commonly prepared in the research laboratory by spraying, screen-printing and brushing catalyst slurry onto membrane or other support material like carbon paper or polyimide film in a batch style. These hand applications of the catalyst slurry are painstaking process with respect to precision of catalyst loading and reproducibility. It has been generally mentioned that the adoption of continuous process is very helpful to develop the reliable product. In the present work, we report the results of using continuous type coater with doctor-blade to coat catalyst slurry for preparing the MEA catalyst layers In a faster and highly reproducible fashion. We show that while expectedly faster than batch style, the machine coater requires the use of slurry of appropriate composition and a properly selected transfer decal material in order to achieve superior MEA plat lnw loading reproducibility. To make highly viscous catalyst slurry that is imperative for using coater, we use 40wt.% Nafion solution and minimize the content of organic solvent. And the choice of proper high surface area catalyst is important in the viewpoint of making well-dispersed slurry. After catalyst coating onto the support material, we transferred the catalyst layer to both sides of Nafion membrane by hot-pressing In this case, the degree of transfer was Influenced by hot-pressing condition including temperature, pressure, and time. To compare the transferring ability, we compared so many films and detaching papers. And among the support, polyethylene terephthalate(PET) film shows the prominent result.
