  • Nursing theory is used to explain the goals and functions of nursing and improve practical affairs by providing information and knowledge about the principles which become the foundation of nursing practical affairs. Theoretical analytical compliance with C-T-E (Conceptual-Theoretical-Empirical) structures by Fawcett (1999) whose evaluation method illustrates the relationship of conceptual models, theory, research and structure. The evaluation allows the nurse to visualize the connection, evaluate research, and reduce errors in research. Consequently present doctorate dissertations in nursing science are theoretical propriety, connection in the structure of concepts, theory, research methods, and evaluation to reduce errors in future research plans and division of theoretical development process. So the following verifies logicality, propriety, and reliability which must apply to research in various different fields.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop practical problem-based home economics teaching.learning process plans about a unit 'the youth and consumer life' of middle school eighth-grade Technology and Home Economics by applying blended learning(BL) strategy. According to ADDIE instructional design model, this study was conducted in the following procedure: analysis, design/development, implementation, and evaluation. In the stage of design and development, the selected unit was converted into a practical problem-based unit, and practical problem-based teaching. learning process plans were designed in detail by using BL strategy. An online study room for practical problem-based home economics instruction grounded in BL strategy was prepared by using Edunet(http://community.edunet4u.net/${\sim}$consumer2). Eight-session lesson plans were mapped out, and study aids for students and materials for teachers were prepared. In the implementation stage, the first-session teaching plans that dealt with a minor question 'what preparations should be made to become a wise consumer' were utilized when instruction was provided to 115 eighth graders who were in three different province, and the other one was in a middle school in the city of Daejeon. The experimental teaching was implemented for two weeks in the following procedure: preliminary program, pre-online learning, main instruction and post- online learning. The preliminary program was carried out in a session in the classroom, and pre-online learning was provided before the main instruction was given in a session in the classroom. After the main instruction was completed, post-online learning was offered. In the evaluation stage, a survey was conducted on all the learners and teachers to find out their opinions and suggestions.

  • This research attempted to find possibilities of the practical use utilizing geospatial methods for the balanced promotion of sustainable coastal development and preservation through a case study of Jekyll Island, one of Georgia's barrier islands. In response, this research provided ways for practical use in sustainable development and preservation plans. First this research thoroughly investigated the 1996 master plan of Jekyll Island and tried to recalculate developed and undeveloped areas. Second, new estimations for developed areas were investigated through field survey. Third, this research proposed the use of the satellite images with different levels of spatial resolutions and tested different classification schemes to find possibilities for practical use. For these purposes, first, we classified developed and undeveloped features by manual digitization using an aerial photo image with 0.5m spatial resolution. Second, a Landsat 7 ETM+ and a QuickBird satellite images with mid- and high-levels of spatial resolutions were applied to identify developed and undeveloped areas using both the National Land Cover Data (NLCD) and the Coastal Change Analysis Program (CCAP) classification schemes. Also, GEOBIA (Geographic Object-Based Image Analysis) was conducted to accurately identify developed and undeveloped areas.

  • Initially the paper will explore the concept, evolution and utility of Sustainable Development in the broad context of its links to the EIA process by predicting in advance decisions being made attempts to balance the needs of environmental, economic and social objectives. The paper then considers how an evolving and improved EIA process and in particular with the emphasis increasingly riving from projects to polieies, plans and programmes, can provide q framework to operationalise Sustainable Development with the focus on cumulative impacts, making EIA "problem focussed" and linking policy, environmental planning and assessment. The paper then reviews some of the practical EIA tools and methods that can support the practical application of more susk inable forms of development. The paper concludes by considering the follow ups that are now occurring after the Reo Sumit and suggests that has a Key and powerful role to play in this process, whether at an institutional prettiest policy level.

  • This study attempts to construct a model of optimal headway, focusing on a practical applicability to bus transit operation. Examining the existing bus operation and scheduling plans imposed by Busan City, we found that the plans failed to reasonably take into account such realities as varying traffic and operational conditions. The model is thus developed to derive the hourly optimal headway by routes satisfying the real-world conditions: varying hourly demand and cycle time, applying the model to routes 10 and 27 as examples. To do so, we collect big-dataset generated by smart card system and BIMS (Bus Inforamtion Management System). It is expected that the results of this study wil be a basis for further refined research in this field as well as for preparing practical timetables for bus operation.

  • A system of conditional sampling plans composed of three stages is developed. In the first stage, the decision to accept or reject the lot is based on the information obtained from the current lot. When a decision is not made in the first stage, a second stage is introduced and the information from the immediately preceding lot as well as the information from the current lot is used for the decision. When a decision is not made in the first stage, a second stage is introduced and the information from the immediately preceding lot as well as the information from the current lot is used for the decision. When a decision is not made in the second stage either, the decision is deferred until the information from the immediately following lot is obtained. Existing tables for constructing double sampling plans with $_2$=$2n_1$ can be used to find the parameters of these plans. These sampling plans can bring sizable savings in the amount of inspection when the process is relatively stable. The response delay to the change in process quality and the deferred events may be considered as shortcomings of these plans. However, these are not serious in practical applications, and the reduction in sample size may more than offset these shortcomings.

  • This study investigated the causes of the dislikes of Practical Arts education of elementary school students. This study was to provide the foundation for the proposition of alternative plans to make more students participate pleasantly and actively in Practical Arts classes. Data were collected via an open-ended survey from 273 elementary school students and through telephone interviews with five elementary school teachers. The data were analyzed inductively by NVivo. After the analysis of the student data, the analysis of the teacher data was conducted according to the variables from the student data. The results of this research were as follows: First, with regard to the causes of the students' dislikes of Practical Arts classes, extrinsic factors such as instruction management, instruction content, teaching facilities and equipment, and teacher characteristics were elicited. Intrinsic factors included complaints about failing to meet students' expectation from Practical Arts, negative perception of Practical Arts, the interest, competency, and fear of the students. Secondly, the students who learned Practical Arts from the Practical Arts specialty teachers gave more answers on instruction management, instruction content, and teacher characteristics than the students who learned Practical Arts from their homeroom teachers did. The students who learned Practical Arts from their homeroom teachers answered that they disliked Practical Arts because of lack of lab facilities and practice than their counterparts did. The analyses of teacher data provided the reasons and contexts of the dislikes of the students such as teaching facilities and equipment, and the anxiety of the students.
