조광기능을 갖춘 전자식 형광등용 IC

  • 전자식 안정기는 최근 에너지 절약 정책과 관련하여 조명기기분야의 관심의 대상이 되었고, 절전 효율이 높은 고품질의 전자식 안정기에 대한 연구 개발 및 보급이 점점 더 확대되고 있는 추세이다. 일반적으로 전자식 안정기는 수십 KHz의 고주파에서 형광등을 구동시킴으로써 빛의 깜박거림과 가청잡음이 없으며, 저주파(60Hz)에서 사용하는 재래식 안정기(choke coil 방식)에 비해 높은 절전 효과를 얻을 수 있다[1-4]. 특히, 빌딩 사무실의 경우 낮에도 창가의 형광등이 켜져 있어서 막대한 전력을 낭비하고 있는 실정이므로, 일조량에 따른 자동 전력 조절이 가능한 전자식 형광등의 출현이 기대되고 있다. 전자식 안정기의 보급 확대를 위해서는 절전 효과 뿐만 아니라, 품질 문제, 수명 문제등을 고려하여야 하는 바, 예를 들면 순간 점등으로 방전초기의 sputtering 현상에 의한 lamp의 수명 단축, 미소 입력전압 변동에 따른 급격한 광출력의 변화로 절전 효과의 상실과 이상동작에 의한 스위칭 소자의 파괴 현상, 고주파 스위칭시 발생되는 전력손실과 noise등에 대한 대책이 요구되고 있다. 이러한 점을 개선하기 위해 추가되는 회로는 전자식 안정기 시스템을 더욱 복잡하게 만들고, 경제적으로 원가 부담을 주기 때문ㅇ 고품질의 전자식 안정기를 보급하는데 어려운 점으로 부각되고 있다. 본 고에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 조광기능을 포함한 다양한 제어회로와 보호회로를 조광기능을 포함한 다양한 제어회로와 보호회로를 1 chip에 수용하는 고품질의 전자식 안정기 제어용 집적회로에 대해서 기술하고자 한다.되어 나아갈 기술의 조류에도 부합하는 형태라 하겠다. 그러나 이 방식은 기 언급한 바와 같이 분산처리를 관장하는 운영체계의 개발에 상당한 고전이 따르리라 보여지며, 또한 보다 상세한 연구가 선행되어야 하겠지만 개발된 상용의 통신 프로토콜로서는 병렬처리의 성능을 극대화 하기에는 여러가지 제약이 있을 것으로 예측된다.기기들이 어떻게 응용되고 있는지 살펴보기로 하자. real informations would be available. 비파괴 전자탐사에 의한 지하 매설물의 정밀탐지 (Precise Detection of Buried Underground Utilities by Non-destructive Electromagnetic Survey)

  • 지하에 매설된 각종 시설물의 위치 및 깊이를 조사하기 위한 비파괴적인 조사방법으로 GPR(Ground Penetrating Radar; 지하투과레이다; 지하레이다) 탐사법이 국내외적으로 많이 활용되고 있으나, 가탐심도가 일반적적로 5m이내로서 낮으며, 지하매질이 불균질하거나 점토, 염분, 자갈 등이 많은 곳 및 주변의 전자기적 잡음이 심한 곳에서는 조사가 안 되는 경우가 많다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 비파괴 GPR 탐사법의 제약을 극복하고자 일반적인 매설심도(물리탐사적으로는 얕은 곳)에 위치한 지하매설물임에도 불구하고 탐지가 안 되는 지역을 선정하여, 토질분석에 의해 탐사가 되지 않는 원인규명과 함께 효과적으로 지하매설물을 탐지할 수 있는 새로운 비파괴 전자(電磁) 탐사법을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서는 2kHz-4MHz 대역의 지하조사를 위한 고주파수대역 전자탐사법을 개발, 적용하였다. 고주파수대역 전자 탐사는 주파수대역 탐사이며 인공적으로 에너지원(源)을 방출하는 능동적인 탐사법으로서 가탐심도는 약30m 정도이다. 서로 수직한 전기장과 자기장을 측정하여 임피던스를 계산하며, 이로부터 측점 하부의 수직적인 전기비저항 분포를 해석하게 된다. 또한, 비접촉 용량전극을 채택하여 측정시간을 대폭 줄일 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 콘크리트, 아스팔트 및 잡석으로 포장된 지역에서도 조사가 용이하며, 신호중첩에 의해 고압선 등에 의한 잡음을 감소시킬 수 있게 되었다. 다른 탐사방법으로는 발견할 수 없었던 지하매설관에 대해서 본 고주파수대역 전자탐사를 성공적으로 정밀하게 적용할 수 있었다. 본 연구 결과를 지하매설물의 위치 및 깊이 확인을 위한 정밀 지하측량 지반조사 및 문화 유적지조사 등에 효과적으로 적용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

근전의수용 소형 표면 근전위 센서의 개발 (Development of Surface Myoelectric Sensor for Myoelectric Hand Prosthesis)

  • 본 논문에서는 근전의수용 소형 근전위 센서를 제안한다. 근전의수용 근전위 센서를 의수 소켓에 내장시키기 위해서는 소형이어야 한다. 제안된 근전위 센서는 피부와 접촉하는 전극과 신호처리를 위한 회로부가 일체화된 형태로 소형화 하였다. 기준 전극은 두 입력전극의 가운데에 나란히 배치되고, 입력전극은 막대형, 기준전극은 막대형과 원형의 두 가지 형상으로 설계하였다. 두 입력전극 사이의 간격은 근섬유의 근전위 신호의 전도속도와 중심주파수를 고려하여 18mm, 20mm, 22mm 의 세 개의 서로 다른 간격을 가진 전극을 제작하였다. 사용된 전극의 재료는 땀이나 습기에 강한 SUS440 금속을 사용하였다. 신호처리 회로부는 대역통과 필터를 갖는 차동 증폭기, 전원노이즈를 제거하기 위한 대역저지 필터, 교류결합증폭기, 절대평균값 회로로 구성되어 있다. 실험에서는 정상인의 전완에서 근전위 신호를 취득하여 주파수 분석하고, 입력전극 사이의 간격과 기준전극의 형상에 따른 출력특성 평가하였다. 본 논문에서는 실험의 결과로부터 두 입력전극간의 거리가 18mm 이면서, 입력전극의 형상과 기준전극의 형상이 모두 막대형인 표면 근전위 센서가 근전의수에 최적임을 보인다.

평판디스플레이 응용을 위한 차동 FPCB 전송선 설계 최적화 (Design Optimization of Differential FPCB Transmission Line for Flat Panel Display Applications)

  • 본 논문에서는 저전압 차동 신호(Low-Voltage Differential Signaling, LVDS) 전송방식의 응용을 위한 차동 전송 접속 경로의 분석 및 설계 최적화 방법을 제안한다. 차동 전송 경로 및 저전압 스윙 방법의 발전으로 인해 LVDS 방식은 데이터 통신 분야, 고해상도 디스플레이 분야, 평판 디스플레이 분야에서 매우 적은 소비전력, 개선된 잡음 특성 및 고속 데이터 전송률을 제공한다. 본 논문은 차동 유연성 인쇄회로 보드(flexible printed circuit board, FPCB) 전송선에서 선폭, 선두께 및 선 간격과 같은 전송선 설계 변수들의 최적화 기법을 이용하여 직렬 접속된 전송선에서 발생하는 임피던스 부정합과 신호왜곡을 감소시키기 위해 개선 모델과 새로이 개발된 수식을 제안한다. 이러한 차동 FPCB 전송선의 고주파 특성을 평가하기 위해 주파수 영역에서 전파(full-wave) 전자기 시뮬레이션, 시간영역 시뮬레이션 및 S 파라미터 시뮬레이션을 각각 수행하였다. $17.5{\mu}m$$35{\mu}m$의 전송선의 경우, 전극 폭에서의 약 10% 변화가 차동 임피던스에서의 약 6%와 5.6%의 변화를 각각 보였으나, 전송선 간 간격은 차동 및 특성 임피던스에서의 영향을 주지 않음을 확인하였다. 또한 전송선 간격이 증가할수록 상호 인덕턴스 및 커패시턴스가 감소하기 때문에 누화 잡음을 감소시키기 위해 신호 전송선간의 간격을 $180{\mu}m$ 이상 유지 해야함을 확인하였다.

EF 센서기반 손동작 신호 감지 및 자동 프레임 추출 (EF Sensor-Based Hand Motion Detection and Automatic Frame Extraction)

  • 본 논문에서는 사람의 손동작에 의해 모바일장치상의 전기장센서를 통해 감지되는 동작신호의 실시간 검출 및 프레임 추출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 동작인식에 사용되는 전기장센서는 주변 환경 및 시점에 따라 랜덤잡음 및 센서 표면의 초기 대전상태의 가변적인 특성으로 인해 안정적으로 동작신호를 검출하는데 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 환경에서도 안정적이고 강건하게 동작신호를 감지하여 검출할 수 있는 동적문턱치 방법(dynamic thresholding method)을 제안한다. 동작발생감지여부는 10Hz low-pass 필터와 MA(Motion Average) 필터를 통한 입력신호가 특정 문턱 전압값을 넘을 경우 감지되는데 감지 시점 센서상의 정전하상태가 가변적이므로 주기적으로 offset 값을 계산하여 새로운 문턱치를 동적으로 적용하는 방법이다. 이러한 방법으로 동작신호 감지율을 98% 이상으로 향상 시킬 수 있었다. 또한 일단 동작이 감지되면 정문턱치(positive thresold)와 부문턱치(negative threshold)의 통과시점, 횟수와 평균 동작주기를 고려한 동작신호프레임 알고리즘을 제안하였으며 이의 프레임추출 성공률도 98% 이상의 성능을 보였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 알고리즘으로 추출된 동작신호는 이후 신호정규화를 거쳐 LSTN 심층신경망 인식부를 거쳐 높은 손동작 인식률을 보임으로서 제안된 알고리즘의 우수함을 입증하였다.

도심용 eVTOL 항공기 전기추진시스템 기준 분석 및 안전성 확보 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Certification Standard Analysis and Safety Assurance Method for Electric Propulsion System of the Urban eVTOL Aircraft)

  • 도심환경에서 저공해/저소음으로 운항이 요구되는 eVTOL 항공기는 왕복행정엔진이나 터빈엔진과 같은 전통적인 추진시스템이 아닌 대부분 배터리를 이용한 전기추진시스템을 동력원으로 사용한다. 이에 따라 전기추진시스템에 대한 인증제도 마련 및 전기추진시스템의 안전성 확보방안이 중요한 이슈가 되고있다. 미국의 경우 전기추진시스템을 인증하기 위해 FAR Part 33에 준하는 특수기술기준을 발행하였고 유럽의 경우 전기추진시스템의 인증을 위해 다양한 특별조건을 제정하였다. 따라서 국내에도 미국, 유럽에 맞춰가며 eVTOL 항공기 전기추진시스템 기술기준에 대한 대비가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 특별조건 중 전기/하이브리드 추진 시스템의 기술기준인 SC E-19를 분석하였고 기존 항공기 안전성 평가 절차인 ARP 4761에 항공기 수준에서 적용 되어야하는 SC E-19 기술기준을 적용시킴으로써 항공기에 장착하는 전기추진시스템의 안전성 확보 방안을 제안하였다. 마지막으로 Ehang 184 전기추진시스템의 사례연구를 통해 제안한 전기추진시스템의 안전성 확보 방안이 항공기 수준에서 적용 가능함을 확인하였다.

Structural Behavior of Mixed $LiMn_2O_4-LiNi_{1/3}Co_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}O_2$ Cathode in Li-ion Cells during Electrochemical Cycling

  • The research and development of hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) and electric vehicle (EV) are intensified due to the energy crisis and environmental concerns. In order to meet the challenging requirements of powering HEV, PHEV and EV, the current lithium battery technology needs to be significantly improved in terms of the cost, safety, power and energy density, as well as the calendar and cycle life. One new technology being developed is the utilization of composite cathode by mixing two different types of insertion compounds [e.g., spinel $LiMn_2O_4$ and layered $LiMO_2$ (M=Ni, Co, and Mn)]. Recently, some studies on mixing two different types of cathode materials to make a composite cathode have been reported, which were aimed at reducing cost and improving self-discharge. Numata et al. reported that when stored in a sealed can together with electrolyte at $80^{\circ}C$ for 10 days, the concentrations of both HF and $Mn^{2+}$ were lower in the can containing $LiMn_2O_4$ blended with $LiNi_{0.8}Co_{0.2}O_2$ than that containing $LiMn_2O_4$ only. That reports clearly showed that this blending technique can prevent the decline in capacity caused by cycling or storage at elevated temperatures. However, not much work has been reported on the charge-discharge characteristics and related structural phase transitions for these composite cathodes. In this presentation, we will report our in situ x-ray diffraction studies on this mixed composite cathode material during charge-discharge cycling. The mixed cathodes were incorporated into in situ XRD cells with a Li foil anode, a Celgard separator, and a 1M $LiPF_6$ electrolyte in a 1 : 1 EC : DMC solvent (LP 30 from EM Industries, Inc.). For in situ XRD cell, Mylar windows were used as has been described in detail elsewhere. All of these in situ XRD spectra were collected on beam line X18A at National Synchrotron Light Source (NSLS) at Brookhaven National Laboratory using two different detectors. One is a conventional scintillation detector with data collection at 0.02 degree in two theta angle for each step. The other is a wide angle position sensitive detector (PSD). The wavelengths used were 1.1950 ${\AA}$ for the scintillation detector and 0.9999 A for the PSD. The newly installed PSD at beam line X18A of NSLS can collect XRD patterns as short as a few minutes covering $90^{\circ}$ of two theta angles simultaneously with good signal to noise ratio. It significantly reduced the data collection time for each scan, giving us a great advantage in studying the phase transition in real time. The two theta angles of all the XRD spectra presented in this paper have been recalculated and converted to corresponding angles for ${\lambda}=1.54\;{\AA}$, which is the wavelength of conventional x-ray tube source with Cu-$k{\alpha}$ radiation, for easy comparison with data in other literatures. The structural changes of the composite cathode made by mixing spinel $LiMn_2O_4$ and layered $Li-Ni_{1/3}Co_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}O_2$ in 1 : 1 wt% in both Li-half and Li-ion cells during charge/discharge are studied by in situ XRD. During the first charge up to ~5.2 V vs. $Li/Li^+$, the in situ XRD spectra for the composite cathode in the Li-half cell track the structural changes of each component. At the early stage of charge, the lithium extraction takes place in the $LiNi_{1/3}Co_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}O_2$ component only. When the cell voltage reaches at ~4.0 V vs. $Li/Li^+$, lithium extraction from the spinel $LiMn_2O_4$ component starts and becomes the major contributor for the cell capacity due to the higher rate capability of $LiMn_2O_4$. When the voltage passed 4.3 V, the major structural changes are from the $LiNi_{1/3}Co_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}O_2$ component, while the $LiMn_2O_4$ component is almost unchanged. In the Li-ion cell using a MCMB anode and a composite cathode cycled between 2.5 V and 4.2 V, the structural changes are dominated by the spinel $LiMn_2O_4$ component, with much less changes in the layered $LiNi_{1/3}Co_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}O_2$ component, comparing with the Li-half cell results. These results give us valuable information about the structural changes relating to the contributions of each individual component to the cell capacity at certain charge/discharge state, which are helpful in designing and optimizing the composite cathode using spinel- and layered-type materials for Li-ion battery research. 일체형 방사선 피폭 방호 소방관 인명구조 경보기의 임베디드 보드 개발 (Development of Embedded Board for Integrated Radiation Exposure Protection Fireman's Life-saving Alarm)

  • 본 논문에서는 위치추적과 방사선 측정이 가능한 일체형 방사선 피폭 방호 소방관 인명구조 경보기를 위한 임베디드 보드 개발을 제안한다. 제안하는 방사선 피폭 방호 소방관 인명구조 경보기의 임베디드 보드는 신호 처리부, 통신부, 전원부, 메인 제어부 등으로 구성된다. 신호 처리부에서는 차폐설계, 노이즈 저감 기술 및 전자파 차감 기술 등을 적용한다. 통신부에서는 WiFi 방식을 사용하여 통신하도록 설계한다. 메인 제어부에서는 전력 소모를 최소한으로 줄이고 작고 밀도가 높으면서도 낮은 발열성을 통하여 높은 고성능 시스템을 구성한다. 일체형 방사선 피폭 방호 소방관 인명구조 경보기를 위한 임베디드 보드는 재난 및 화재현장 등 열악한 환경에 노출되어 운영하는 장비이므로 방수와 내열성을 고려한 외형도 설계 및 제작을 한다. 제안된 일체형 방사선 피폭 방호 소방관 인명구조 경보기를 위한 임베디드 보드의 효율을 판단하기 위하여 공인시험기관에서 실험하였다. 방수 등급은 소방관용 장비의 특성 상 재해 현장에서 물에 의한 침수 시에도 안정적인 성능을 유지할 수 있는 IP67 등급을 달성하였다, 동작 온도는 재해현장에서의 폭넓은 환경변화에 대응할 수 있는 -10℃~50℃의 범위에서 측정이 되었다. 배터리 수명은 붕괴사고 등의 비상 재난 상황에 대처할 수 있는 1회 충전 후 144시간 사용 가능함이 측정되었다. PCB를 포함한 최대 통신 거리는 재난 상황 시 지휘통제 차량과의 직선거리에서 기존의 50m보다 넓은 범위인 54.2m에서 작동하는 것이 측정되었다. 따라서 일체형 방사선 피폭 방호 소방관 인명구조 경보기를 위한 임베디드 보드의 그 효용성이 입증되었다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The correlation between glucose concentration and parameters was the best at 610nm. 30535 T00401030535 ^x Radiation-induced fibrosarcoma tumors were grown on the flanks of C3H mice. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer.
