  • In the power-line communication(PLC) systems, the power line is a wired medium. However, the power line channel has the multi-path fading characteristics like the wireless channel in the wireless communication systems because it has the signal reflection and divergence by the impedance mismatching between many branch lines and loads. So the analysis of the multi-path characteristics is very important, and it has been doing by the several measurement methods for the impulse response between the transmitter and the receiver. PN sequence method has originally been used as a wideband impulse response measurement mettled for wireless channel, but it is recently being applied to not only the wireless channel but also the wired channel like the power line channel. This method is more useful and effective for the long distance communication channel like the medium voltage power distribution line with the multi-paths[1]. In this thesis, we have measured impulse response for the medium voltage power distribution line channel by the wideband measurement method using PN sequence, analytically studied the measured data and presented the results.

  • Subject of this paper is analysis of channel noise and impedance characteristics for high speed power line communication to concerned noise of transmission line and impedance in the frequency range up to 30MHz. Parameters of transmission line was inducted from experimentally power line channel measurement. Moreover, Analysis of compared based on measurement of channel characters with simulation test for appear characters.

  • 옥내$\cdot$외의 전력선 환경에 대한 정확한 채널 모델링에 관한 노력이 최근에 이루어지고 있다 알려진 일반 제한과 발표된 모델들은 특별한 형태의 접근들이었다. 본 논문은 더 신속하고 효율적인 전력선 통신 실험을 위한 전력선 채널 특성 측정에 관한 연구이다. 용량성 부하 시뮬레이터는 전력선 옥내 망 모뎀 개발에 필수적인 장비이다. 총 2:H가지 경우의 용량성 부하 변화에 대한 주파수 응답 특성 측정으로 채널 데이터 베이스화를 수행하였다. 본 측정 실험에서 전력선통신 채널은 보다 더 확정적인 매체라는 것을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, we show the channel characteristics measurement system the frequency range up to 30MHz for medium voltage Power Line Grid. Power line channel characteristics are investigated by means of various measurement instruments. Measurement system consists of medium voltage coupler, impedance measurement part, noise measurement part, voltage sensing part and communication part. Measured data will be used for PLC channel modeling and PLC network system design.

  • 옥내${\cdot}$외의 전력선 환경에 대한 정확한 채널 모델링에 관한 노력이 최근에 이루어지고 있다. 알려진 일반표준, 제한과 발표된 모델들은 특별한 형태의 접근들이였다. 본 논문에서는 더 신속하고 효율적인 전력선 통신 실험을 위한 전력선 채널 모델링에 관한 연구이다. 용량성 부하 시뮬레이터는 전력선 옥내 망 모뎀 개발에 필수적인 장비이다. 총 244 경우의 용량성 부하 변화에 대한 주파수 응답 특성 측정으로 채널 모델링을 수행하였다. 본 측정 실험에서 PLC는 일반적으로 알고 있었던 특성 보다 더 확정적인 매체라는 것을 확인하였다.

  • This paper describe a method for measuring line impedance as a function of frequency for an energized powerline in normal operation. A small sinusoidal signal of a powerline communication utility frequency 30khz$\sim$1Mhz band is continuously injected into the line, and a implemented impedance analyzer calculates the indoor powerline channel impedance from the measured magnitude and phase of resulting voltage and current. The impedance measurement is executed over a range of frequencies to produce a wideband impedance versus frequency characteristic. Implemented impedance analyzer can analysis powerline communication environments measuring line impedance due to load caused in indoor. And measured analysis information through the database can use to evaluate performance of modem and to decide test environment standard.

  • To improve the reliability of power-line communication systems, the measurement and analysis has been proceeded in many power-line channel environments. In spite of the wired channel, power line channel has many multi-paths that are changing with load-variation, line-interconnection, impedance mismatching and so on. We accordingly need an analysis method based on the multi-path channel impulse response. Recently, a method to describe the homogeneous Power-line network has been published[1]. In this paper the modified method that can describe both the homogeneous and non -homogeneous power-line network has presented.

  • In this Paper, the channel characteristics of the medium voltage(22.9kV) power line to analysis the broadband power line communication in the frequency range up to 30MHz was measured. With the sideband electrical coupler in the operating frequency range from DC to 30MHz, we measured characteristic impedance, noise and attenuation of the medium voltage power line, and then characteristic impedance was measured at the state of unloaded medium voltage power line by Scattering parameter method of Vector Network Analyzer. As a measurement result, Channel impedance shows 100~380$\Omega$ at the less than 15MHz and 70~230$\Omega$ at the more than 15 MHz. Noise characteristics of power line shows -75dBm at 20MHz and Narrowband interference noise was from 3 MHz to 7MHz.

  • Recently Many technologies of the P.L.N (Power Line Network) are introduced for an efficient communication. P.L.N transmits information using power line channel. A medical information transmission system is proposed in this paper for the effective transmission. The Power Line Networks have an advantage in low cost because it uses existent power line. It can be easily applied anywhere that a power line socket is available. But the power line channel is very noisy, because many electronic devices in generate electronic noise in modulated signals. This problem should be considered carefully in the design of medical information transmission system using P.L.N. The proposed system can be applied...I propose a telemedicine system using the power line network.

  • In this paper, we studied the emissive electric field due to the communication signal and the noise in medium voltage power-line. There are many types of conductive noise in power-line channel, which gives rise to radiation. And if the DMT carrier signal was excited, the current by this term was added to the current by noise and, generate radiation. We calculated input impedance by means of signal input network model of medium voltage power-line channel for calculating these currents. We calculated currents by input impedance and, calculated the emissive electric field by this calculated currents. From the measurement results, we knew that the measured results are very similar to the calculated results and if the input signal power level was higher than -40 dBm, the emissive electric field exceeds FCC radiation limit level 69.5 dB$\mu$V/m.
