객체구조를 이용한 긴급상태 정전복부 시스템 (Service Restorative System in Emergency State using Object-Oriented Structure)

  • This paper presents a new algorithm to restore the de-energized loads in electric power distribution systems for restoration by utilizing object-based structure and heuristic rules without branch and feeder overloading. In order to cope with a complex network configuration and frequent breaker switching operations in distribution systems, the component of power system is described as objects and the information of system configuration is constructed by connecting objects each other. Such a strategy is developed mainly based on the object search algorithm to increase computation efficiency. As a result, the proposed system has been implemented to efficiently deal with large distribution systems by reducing computational burden remarkably compared with the conventional methods.

  • 기존의 수지상 배전계통은 사고 등에 대한 설비보호 및 전력공급 신뢰도 향상을 위하여 과전류보호협조방식을 채택하고 있다. 국내 배전계통의 경우, 그 보호방식 협조체계는 배전용변전소 동일 변압기 동일 모선에서 다수의 배전선이 각각 CB(변전소 차단기)를 통하여 인출되어 각 배전선로 이하에서 사고발생시 고장전류를 검출하여 해당 CB를 차단하도록 되어있다. 그러나, 이와 같은 보호방식을 채용하고 있는 배전계통에 분산전원이 도입될 경우 변전소 인출차단기의 차단용량은 영향을 받게 되므로 충분한 검토가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 분산전원 도입시, 국내 배전용 변전소의 인출차단기에 대한 차단용량을 초과하지 않는 보호협조방법을 제시하고, 이를 PSCAD-EMTDC 계통해석 S/W Tool에 의하여 모의하여 검증하였다.

  • Recently, DC distribution systems become hot issues since DC type loads increase rapidly according to the expansion of IT equipment such as computers, servers, and digital devices; DC type loads will cover 50% for all electricity loads in 2020 which was mere 10% in 2000. DC distribution systems are also accelerated by the expansion of renewable power systems since they are easy to be interfaced with DC grids rather than AC grids. However, removing the fault current in DC grids is comparably difficult since the current in DC grids has non zero-crossing point like in AC grids. Thus, developing dedicated DC circuit breakers for DC grids is necessary to get safety for human and electrical facilities. Magnet arc extinguishing method is proper to small size DC circuit breakers. However, simple Magnet arc extinguishing method is not enough to break inductive fault currents. This paper proposed a novel DC circuit breaker against inductive fault current defined by IEEE C37.14-2004 Standard for Low-Voltage DC Power Circuit Breakers Used in Enclosures. The performance of the proposed DC circuit breaker was verified by an experimental circuit breaker test system built in this research.

  • 전력산업의 구조개편과 더불어 분산전원의 배전계통연계운용 및 전력품질이 전력회사의 배전사업자, 구역전기사업자, 전기공급 신뢰도와 밀접한 관계에 있는 산업용 수용가들에게 많은 관심을 불러일으키고 있다. 이러한 주변정세는 차세대의 배전계통이 다수의 Micro-grid들로 구성될 것이라고 하는 예상을 전문가들로부터 제기되기에 이르렀다. 그러나, 제안된 Micro-grid는 몇몇의 분산전원과 전력품질을 보상하는 기기, 그리고 통신제어설비와 부하들로 구성된다는 기본적인 내용에 지나지 않는다 따라서, 본 논문에서는 수용가에 고신뢰 고품질의 전력공급을 가능하게 하는 차세대 전력공급네트워크인 Micro-grid의 적정전압유지를 위한 자율분산협조 운용제어 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • The fuel cell market is expected to grow rapidly. Therefore, it is necessary to scale up fuel cells for buildings, power generation, and ships. A multi-stack system can be an effective way to expand the capacity of a fuel cell. Multi-stack fuel cell systems are better than single-stack systems in terms of efficiency, reliability, durability and maintenance. In this research, we developed a residential fuel cell stack and system model that generates electricity using the fuel cell-photovoltaic hybrid system. The efficiency and hydrogen consumption of the fuel cell system were calculated according to the three proposed power distribution methods (equivalent, Daisy-chain, and optimal method). As a result, the optimal power distribution method increases the efficiency of the fuel cell system and reduces hydrogen consumption. The more frequently the multi-stack fuel cell system is exposed to lower power levels, the greater the effectiveness of the optimal power distribution method.

  • Power quality simulation plays an important role in many practical cases, for example, when deciding the capacity of the related mitigation devices, assessing the influence of installing a nonlinear load in the distribution part, dissolving the quality issues between utilities and customers, and so on. For these purposes, many dedicated tools have been used in order to assess the level of quality distortions by various kinds of PQ indices. However, there are few modules that can accurately simulate the flicker phenomenon, that is, $P_{st}$ and the nonlinear and chaotic behavior of the electrical arc furnace, which is one of the representative nonlinear loads. This paper deals with the useful and simple modules for the voltage flicker simulation in the distribution and transmission level under the environment of Matlab/Simulink. With these modules, the various conditions of distribution systems and the capacities of arc furnaces with the chaotic characteristic can be easily taken into account.

  • The domestic power distribution system is operating in an open loop mode; however, it already has a loop structure. Power distribution systems must be changed for bi-directions power supply for smart networks due to a changing of paradigm in electric power industry. The simplest bi-directions distribution networks can make it closing of normally open switch. However, bi-directions power supply is very difficulty to be operated and there are many parts which it must study. This paper presented various models that are able to change a radial system for loop structures. Further, we compared the reliability index for each model by evaluating the amount of improvement reliability required in radial power distribution system. In addition, we calculated CIC(Customer Interruption Cost) for each model by comparing and analyzing.

  • Load flow and short circuit fault transients of a power distribution system with wind turbines as dispersed generation units is presented. Usage of renewable energies such as wind is already a small part of total installed power system in medium and low voltage networks. In this paper, a radial power distribution system with wind turbines is simulated using DIgSILENT PowerFactory software for their influence on load flow and short circuit fault transients. Short fault occurring in dispersed generation systems causes some problems for the system and costumers such as fault level increase or the problems of sudden fluctuations in the current, voltage, power and torque of the double fed induction machine utilized in the wind turbines which have been studied and investigated.

  • Electrical power distribution systems are critical links between the utility and customer. In general, power distribution systems have unbalanced feeders due to the unbalanced loading. The devices that dependent on balanced three phase supply are affected by the unbalanced feeders. This necessitates the balancing of feeders. The main objective of reconfiguration is to balance the loads among the phases subject to constraints such as load flow equations, capacity and voltage constraints and to reduce the real power loss, while subject to a radial network structure in which all loads must be energized. Therefore, the distribution system reconfiguration problem has been viewed as multi-objective problem. In this paper, the hybrid heuristic algorithm has been used for reconfiguration, which is the combination of fuzzy and greedy algorithms. The purpose of the introduction of greedy is to refrain the searching for the period of phase balancing. The incorporation of fuzzy helps to take up more objectives amid phase balancing in the searching. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through modified IEEE 33 bus and modified IEEE 125 bus radial distribution system.
