Background: This research main objective was to evaluate a proliposomes (PLs) formulation for the enhancement of oral bioavailability of ginsenosides, using ginsenoside Rg3 (Rg3) as a marker. Methods: A novel PLs formulation was prepared using a modified evaporation-on-matrix method. Soy phosphatidylcholine, Rg3-enriched extract, poloxamer 188 (Lutrol® F 68) and sorbitol were mixed and dissolved using a aqueous ethanolic solution, followed by the removal of ethanol and lyophilization. The characterization of Rg3-PLs formulations was performed by powder X-ray diffractometry (PXRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and in vitro release. The enhancement of oral bioavailability was investigated and analyzed by noncompartmental parameters after oral administration of the formulations. Results: PXRD of Rg3-PLs indicated that Rg3 was transformed from crystalline into its amorphous form during the preparation process. The Rg3-encapsulated liposomes with vesicular-shaped morphology were generated after the reconstitution by gentle hand-shaking in water; they had a mean diameter of approximately 350 nm, a negative zeta potential (- 28.6 mV) and a high entrapment efficiency (97.3%). The results of the in vitro release study exhibited that significantly more amount of Rg3 was released from the PLs formulation in comparison with that from the suspension of Rg3-enriched extract (control group). The pharmacokinetic parameters after oral administration of PLs formulation in rats showed an approximately 11.8-fold increase in the bioavailability of Rg3, compared to that of the control group. Conclusion: The developed PLs formulation could be a favorable delivery system to improve the oral bioavailability of ginsenosides, including Rg3.
This study is to derive from the required performances and the optimum mix proportion of the roof concrete placed in the in-ground LNG storage tank with a capacity of 200000 $m^3$, and propose the actual data for site concrete work. The concrete placing work without sliding and segregation in the fresh concrete condition is very important because the slope of domed roof is varied in the large range by its curvature. Also the control of hydration heat and the strength development at test ages are classified with massive section about 1.4 m thick and considered to the pre-stressing work and removal of air support after concrete placing work. Considering above condition, slump range is selected $100{\pm}25$ mm under the slope $20^{\circ}$ and $150{\pm}25$ mm over the slope $20^{\circ}$ s until 60 minutes of elapsed time. Also, the roof concrete is satisfied with compressive strength range including design strength at 91 days (30 MPa), pre-stressing work at 7 days (10 MPa), air support removal work at 21 days (14 MPa). Replacement ratio of limestone powder is determined by confined water ratio test and main design factors include water-cement ratio (W/C), sand-aggregate ratio and dosage of admixture. As test results, the optimum mix proportion of the roof concrete used low heat cement is as followings. 1) Replacement ratio of limestone powder 25% by confined water ratio test 2) Water-cement ratio 57.8% 3) Sand-aggregate ratio 42.0%. Also, test results for the adiabatic temperature rising test is satisfied with its criteria and shown the lower value compared to preceding storage tank (TK-13, 14). These required performances and the optimum mix proportion is to apply the actual construction work.

In order to overcome drawbacks (i.e., filtration and recovery) of conventional powder type photocatalysts, nano-ZnO/Laponite/PVA (ZLP) photocatalyzed adsorption balls were developed by using in situ mixing of nanoscale ZnO as a photocatalyst, and Laponite as both adsorbent and supporting media in deionized water, followed by the poly vinyl alcohol polymerization with boric acid. The optimum mixing ratio of nano-ZnO:Laponite:PVA:deionized water was found to be 3:1:1:16 (by weight), and the mesh and film produced by PVA polymerization with boric acid might inhibit both swelling of Laponite and detachment of nanoscale ZnO from ZLP balls. Drying ZLP balls with microwave (600 watt) was found to produce ZLP balls with stable structure in water, and various sizes (55~500 ${\mu}m$) of pore were found to be distributed based on SEM and TEM results. In the initial period of reaction (i. e., 40 min), adsorption through ionic interaction between methylene blue and Laponite was the main removal mechanism. After the saturation of methylene blue to available adsorption sites for Laponite, the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue occurred. The effective removal of methylene blue was attributed to adsorption and photocatalytic degradation. Based on the results from this study, synthesized ZLP photocatalyzed adsorption balls were expected to remove recalcitrant organic compounds effectively through both adsorption and photocatalytic degradation, and the risks of environmental receptors caused by detachment of nanoscale photocatalysts can be reduced.
In this study, we tried to figure out the ecology of Masakimyia pustulae Yukawa et Sunose which attacts evergreen euonymus and results in scenic damage caused by early falling of leaves and may increase the susceptibility for anthrocnose. In addition, we tried to develope a method for the control of the insect to prevent spreading of the damage by use of insecticide. The results obtained from the study were as follows : 1. Masakimyia pustulae emerged from late April to late May at Chuncheon area. Average length of the adult insects was $1.88{\pm}0.43mm$, and the life span of them reached about 11 hours. The sex ratio of the insect was 56 : 44(female : male), and they ovipositied $90{\pm}28$ eggs. The shape of eggs was oval with average length $0.32{\pm}0.013mm$. The length of larvae averaged $1.64{\pm}0.25mm$ and started pupation from mid-March, which took about 40~50 days, although there was variance due to temperature variation in each spring. 2. The 3% powder of carbofuran treatment by burying $200g/m^3$ of the insecticide around the damaged tree during mid-March with additional burying about a week after pupation showed good result for the control of the insect, which resulted in more than 96.2% removal of the insects.
Thermoelectric properties of the $Bi_2(Te_{0.85}Se_{0.15})_3$ alloy, prepared by mechanical alloying and hot pressing, were investigated with the variation of the hot-pressing temperature ranging from $300^{\circ}C$ to $550^{\circ}C$. Contrary to the p-type behavior of single crystal, the hot-pressed $Bi_2(Te_{0.85}Se_{0.15})_3$ alloy exhibited n-type conduction without addition of donor dopant. When the $Bi_2(Te_{0.85}Se_{0.15})_3$ powders were annealed in $(50{\%}\;H_2+50{\%}\;Ar)$ atmosphere, the hot-pressed specimens exhibited a positive Seebeck coefficient due to the reduction of the electron concentration by removal of the oxide layer on the powder surface and annealing-out of the excess Te vacancies. Figure-of-merit of the hot-pressed $Bi_2(Te_{0.85}Se_{0.15})_3$ alloy was improved by hot pressing at temperatures above $450^{\circ}C$, and the maximum value of $1.92{\times}10^{-3}/K$ was obtained for the specimen hot-pressed at $550^{\circ}C$.
The research conducted to study the potential practicability of recycled aggregate concrete by analyzing the characteristics of concretes made of recycled quality aggregates produced by wet and dry process has found the following results. The air content of recycled aggregate concrete increased with increase of the substitut on rate due to mortar included while producing recycled aggregates. However, the concretes with aggregate produced by dry process had relatively low rate of increase in air content. The slump showed generally decreasing trend as the substitution rate of recycled aggregate increased regardless of the wet or dry process. It was assumed that the mortar particles remained in recycled aggregate absorbed the surplus hydration in concrete and decreased fluidity The compressive strength generally decreased as the substitution rate of recycled aggregate increased, however there was an increasing trend as well due to decreasing effect of water-cement ratio when the substitution rate of recycled aggregate reached 25, 50% after mix. This phenomena also appeared in early age, which meant that recycled aggregate concrete should not be retarded in setting when applied in the field. The tensile strength also reached the maximum when wet or dry recycled aggregate replaced with 25%. To conclude, recycled aggregates for concrete produced by wet or dry process are expected to demonstrate essential characteristics of concrete without significant decline in physical or dynamic quality when the substitution rate is below 25% although there are variations subject to water-cement ratio. However, slight differences are expected due to types of recycled aggregate and physical quality.
1. Production of the artificial zeolite from coal ash Coal fly ash is mainly composed of several oxides including $SiO_2$ and $Al_2O_3$ derived from inorganic compounds remained after burning. As minor components, $Fe_2O_3$ and oxides of Mg, Ca, P, Ti (trace) are also contained in the ash. These components are presented as glass form resulting from fusion in the process of the combustion of coal. In other word, coal ash may refer to a kind of aluminosilicate glass that is known to easily change to zeolite-like materials by hydrothermal reaction. Lots of hot seawater is disposing near thermal power plants after cooling turbine generator periodically. Using seawater in the hydrothermal reaction caused to produce low price artificial zeolite by reduction of sodium hydroxide consumption, heating energy and water cost. As coal ash were reacted hydrothermally, peaks of quartz and mullite in the ash were weakened and disappeared, and new Na-Pl peaks were appeared strengthily. Si-O-Si bonding of the bituminous coal ash was changed to Si-O-Al (and $Fe^{3+}$) bonding by the reaction. Therefore the produced Na-Pl type zeolite had high CEC of 276.7 $cmol^+{\cdot}kg^{-1}$ and well developed molecular sieve structure with low concentration of heavy metals. 2. Utilization of the artificial zeolite in agro-environment The artificial zeolite(1g) could remove 123.5 mg of zinc, 164.7 mg copper, 184.4 mg cadmium and 350.6 mg lead in the synthetic wastewater. The removability is higher 2.8 times in zinc, 3.3 times in copper, 4.7 times in cadmium and 4.8 times in lead than natural zeolite and charcoal powder. When the heavy metals were treated at the ratio of 150 $kg{\cdot}ha^{-1}$ to the rice plant, various growth inhibition were observed; brownish discoloration and death of leaf sheath, growth inhibition in culm length, number of panicles and grains, grain ripening and rice yield. But these growth inhibition was greatly alleviated by the application of artificial zeolite, therefore, rice yield increased $1.1{\sim}3.2$ times according to the metal kind. In addition, the concentration of heavy metals in the brown rice also lowered by $27{\sim}75%$. Artificial Granular Zeolites (AGZ) was developed for the purification of wastewater. Canon exchange capacity was 126.8 $cmol^+{\cdot}kg^{-1}$. AGZ had Na-Pl peaks mainly with some minor $C_3S$ peaks in X-ray diffractogram. In addition, AGZs had various pore structure that may be adhere the suspended solid and offer microbiological niche to decompose organic pollutants. AGZ could remove ammonium, orthophosphate and heavy metals simultaneously. Mixing ratio of artificial zeolite in AGZs was related positively with removal efficiency of $NH_4\;^+$ and negatively with that of $PO_4\;^{3-}$. Root growth of rice seedling was inhibited severely in the mine wastewater because of strong acidity and high concentration of heavy metals. As AGZ(1 kg) stayed in the wastewater(100L) for 4days, water quality turned into safely for agricultural usage and rice seedlings grew normally.

In pneumothorax, bullectomy in 33 and open bellectoiny in 2 due to pleural adhesion was done Hemostasis in 5, irrigation in 7, foreign body removal in 2, talcum powder insufrlation in 3, sympathectomy 3 as done. Thoracoscopic biopsy watt done In 12 3. For pneumothorax, operation was indicated as recurrent pneumothorax in 18, persistent air leak in 12, visible bullae In chest X-ray in 5. 4 Thoracoscopic biopsy was done in 12. They were interstitial pulmonary fibrosis in 9, miliary tuberculosis in 1, mesothelioma in 1, and organizing pneumonia in 1 .Among interstitial pulmonary fibrosis, usual interstitial pneumonia were 2 and diffuse interstitial pneumonia were 7. 5. Wo complication was found in 6) patients among 67 patients. The complication was found in 4 patients (2 persistent air leak, 2 contralateral lung atelectasis). We concluded that VATS was safe and beneficial in reducing postoperative complication and the role of thoracic surgery will increase markefdly.

With difficulties during the cleaning of reflow flux residues due to the decrease of the part size and interconnection pitch in the advanced electronic devices, the need for the no-clean solder paste is increasing. In this study, an epoxy curable solder paste was made with SAC305 solder powder and the curable flux of which the main ingredient is epoxy resin and its reflow solderability, flux residue corrosivity and solder joint mechanical properties was investigated with comparison to the commercial rosin type solder paste. The fillet shape of the cured product around the reflowed solder joint revealed that the curing reaction occurred following the fluxing reaction and solder joint formation. The copper plate solderability test result also revealed that the wettability of the epoxy curable solder paste was comparable to those of the commercial rosin type solder pastes. In the highly accelerated temperature and humidity test, the cured product residue of the curable solder paste showed no corrosion of copper plate. From FT-IR analysis, it was considered to be resulted from the formation of tight bond through epoxy curing reaction. Ball shear, ball pull and die shear tests revealed that the adhesive bonding was formed with the solder surface and the increase of die shear strength of about 15~40% was achieved. It was considered that the epoxy curable solder paste could contribute to the improvement of the package reliability as well as the removal of the flux residue cleaning process.

Bead type and hollow fiber type catalyst (HFC, Hollow Fiber type Catalyst) was prepared by $La_{0.1}Sr_{0.9}Co_{0.2}Fe_{0.8}O_{3-{\delta}}$ (LSCF1928) perovskite powder catalyst which showed excellent methane complete oxidation characteristics through previous studies. The HFC have a cylindrical shape with an empty interior, and pores can be formed through Phase inversion method so the specific surface area can be remarkably improved. In the case of the bead type catalyst prepared by adding Methyl Cellulose (MC), $SrCO_3$ was produced in addition to the original catalyst composition of LSCF1928 due to the reaction of $CO_2$ emitted from MC and Sr of the catalyst. In the case of the HFC, a single phase perovskite structure was obtained without impurities. The HFC calcined at $700{\sim}900^{\circ}C$ showed pore structure of finger-sponge-finger structure, and 99.9% oxygen conversion rate was achieved through complete oxidation of methane at $475^{\circ}C$. Air gap and spinning pressure condition were changed to control the HFC pore. 2 cm air gap and 7 bar spinning pressure showed the best catalytic performance and achieved oxygen conversion rates of more than 70.65%, 93.01%, and 99.99% at $425^{\circ}C$, $450^{\circ}C$ and $475^{\circ}C$, respectively.
