변형된 SOM을 이용한 유입변압기 열화진단 (Diagnosis of Power Transformer Using Modified Self Organizing Map)

  • Substation facilities have become large and complex in the electric power systems. Development of condition monitoring and diagnosis techniques have been very important to improve the security of substation transformers. This paper presents a method to analyze the cause and the degree of aging of power transformers by Self organizing map(SOM). Dissolved gas data were non-linearly transformed by sigmoid function to make determination of SOM close to that of human. Potential of a failure and the degree of aging of a normal transformer are identified by using the proposed quantitative criterion. Furthermore, transformer aging is monitored by the proposed criterion for a set of transformers. To demonstrate the validity of the proposed method, a case study is performed and its results are presented.

  • Substation facilities have become extremely large and complex parts of electric power systems. The development of condition monitoring and diagnosis techniques has been a very significant factor in the improvement of substation transformer security. This paper presents a method to analyze the cause, the degree, and the aging process power transformers by the Self Organizing Map (SOM) method. Dissolved gas data were non-linearly transformed by the sigmoid function in SOM that works much the same way as the human decision making process. The potential for failure and the degree of aging of normal transformers are identified by using the proposed quantitative criterion. Furthermore, transformer aging is monitored by the proposed criterion for a set of transformers. To demonstrate the validity of the proposed method, a case study is performed and its results are presented.

  • The piezoelectric transformer (PT) is an electro-mechanical device that transfers electrical energy through a mechanical vibration. In this paper, a PT operating in the contour vibration mode is introduced for an application of fluorescent lamp ballast. Utilizing its inherent characteristics of the LC resonator and a high voltage gain to ignite the lamp in light load condition, an investigation of a power piezoelectric transformer as a potential component for a fluorescent lamp ballast is discussed. PT is easy to be produced in mass and reduces the cost of the ballast. The modified equivalent circuit model of the PT considering the operating current level is derived to design the fluorescent lamp ballast. This model describes the voltage gain of the PT in wide load variations and various input current levels. The experimental and simulation results are provided to verify theoretical analysis. The power capacity of the currently developed PT is relatively low (15W), but it can be increased by adopting a multi-layer structure and is currently under investigation. It is also possible to parallel the PT for higher power processing.

  • 안전한 접지설계는 사고 시에 대지로 고장전류를 흘려보내는 수단과 인체가 사고기기에 접촉 시에 위험에 노출되지 않도록 하는데 있다. 변압기 중성점 접지는 1선 지락사고 시 중성점전위가 허용치 이하가 되도록 접지되어야 한다. 변압기 외함 접지는 절연사고로 외함에 전류가 흐를 때 인체 허용전압과 전류 이내로 저감시키는 목적으로 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 사고 시 중성점 전위와 접촉전압을 계산하여 배전 변압기의 접지저항 영향을 심도있게 분석하였다.

  • The inrush current of a transformer is a high-magnitude and harmonic-rich current generated when the transformer core is driven into saturation during energizing. The inrush current usually leads to undesirable effects, for example potential damage to the transformer, misoperation of a protective relay, and power quality deterioration in the distribution power system. Inrush current reduction is therefore important for power system operation. In this paper, to reduce the inrush current, the insertion resistance of the Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SFCL) that is connected in series with the transformer in the distribution system is used. This paper implements the SFCL by using the Electromagnetic Transient Program-Restructured Version (EMTP-RV) to model the SFCL in the distribution system. The simulation results show the beneficial effects of the SFCL for reduction of the inrush current.

  • 본 연구에서는 의료용 X선 발생기의 고전압 발생장치를 설계하는 방법을 제시한다. 고전압의 발생을 위해 인버터를 사용하였다. 또한 라인필터회로, 정류회로, 펄스 복 변조 제어회로, 전 브리지 구동회로, 고전압 트랜스, 고전압 정류회로를 설계 제작하였다. 본 논문에서 제시된 설계 방법에 의해 스위칭 주파수 40 KHz인 고전압 발생장치를 제작·실험하여 가변전압 0∼620 V. 가변전류 50 ∼500 mA를 얻었다.

과도상태에서 PT 철공진의 해석적 분석 (Analytical Analysis of PT Ferroresonance in the Transient-State)

  • When a circuit breaker is opened, a large capacitance around the buses, the circuit breaker and the potential transformer (PT) might cause PT ferroresonance. During PT ferroresonance, the iron core repeats saturation and unsaturation even though the supplied voltage is a rated voltage. This paper describes an analytical analysis of PT ferroresonance in the transient-state. To analyze ferroresonance analytically, the iron core is modelled by a simplified two-segment core model in this paper. Thus, a nonlinear ordinary differential equation (ODE) for the flux linkage is changed into a linear ODE with constant coefficients, which enables an analytical analysis. In this simplified model, each state, which is either saturated or unsaturated state, corresponds to one of the three modes, i.e. overdamping, critical damping and underdamping. The flux linkage and the voltage in each state are obtained analytically by solving the linear ODE with constant coefficients. The proposed transient analysis is effective in the more understanding of ferroresonance and thus can be used to design a ferroresonance prevention or suppression circuit of a PT.

  • A new concept of 22.9kV class revenue metering system based on the optical sensing technique was designed and implemented. This paper reports on the performance of a 22.9kV class three phase optical current/voltage metering scheme and three tariff metering system. This optoelectronic system was designed and developed to advance the state of the art in revenue metering. This paper deals with the characteristics of designed optical CPT (Current and Potential Transformer) and optoelectronic demand meter. The extensive field evaluation of the developed system with the existing oil filled transformer and solid state metering pair is undertaking. Upto now the operation of the optical revenue metering system under the field condition compares favorably with the existing system.

  • Most of the applications for distribution system operation highly rely on the voltage and current managements from the field devices. Voltage from the remote controlled switch contains unacceptably large measurement error due to the nonlinear characteristics of the bushing potential transformer. This paper proposes a new voltage magnitude estimation method by calculating voltage drop using current measurement, line impedance and loads deployment data. Contract demand power and pole transformer capacity managed by NDIS are used as a key element to improve accuracy of the proposed method. Various case studies using Matlab simulation have been performed to verify feasibility of the propose voltage estimation method.

  • 화력발전소, 수력발전소, 그리고 펄프 및 제지 산업분야 발전 프랜트들은 노후화된 발전기 여자시스템으로 인해서 많은 보수 정비업무에 직면해 있다. 이러한 노후 발전설비의 수명 연장을 위해 한전 전력연구원 3중화 디지털 정지형 여자시스템을 개발하였다. 이 논문에서는 3중화 정지형 여자시스템을 구성하는 전력전자 제어 소자(싸이리스터, GTO), 여자 변압기, 3중화 제어시스템의 설계개념과 현장 적용 결과에 대해서 기술하고자 한다.
