향끽미종 잎담배 ST375-4의 신재배법 연구 제2보 Vinyl pot 크기의 pot당 육묘주수가 이식묘의 생육특성에 미치는 영향 (Improvement of Cultural Practices for a New Aromatic Tabacco ST 375-4 II. Effects of Vinyl Pot Size and Number of Plants per Pot on the Seedling Growth)

  • 본 실험은 묘상용 Vinyl pot의 크기와 Vinyl pot당 육묘주수를 달리하여 향끽미종 잎담배인 소향으로 Vinyl pot당 육묘가능주수의 구명과 생육비절멸방안을 모색코자 실시한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. Vinyl pot가 클수록 이식묘의 주당 건물중, 변이계수 및 건물율은 증가하였으나 T/R율, 경쟁지수및 단위생산성은 감소하였다. 2. Pot당 육묘주수가 많을수록 변이계수, 경쟁지수 및 단위생산성은 증가하였으나 주당 건물중은 감소하였다. 3. 자상성약구와 가식구는 모두 4cm pot에서 3주, 5cm pot에서 5주까지 육묘가 가능하였고 자상성약육묘보다 가식육묘가 유리하였다. 4. 5cm pot당 5주씩 육묘하여 대조구(3.5cm pot에 1주 육묘)에 비하여 묘상면적 및 묘상자재를 60.9%, 이식노동력을 36.3% 절감되었다.

The Rice Growth and Yield for Organic Rice Production on Pot Seedling type

  • In traditional organic rice culture practices, control of weeds is a big problem. This study was conducted to increase the rice production. Results showed that Plant height, SPAD, root length and weight were higher in pot raised seedling than broadcasting method except number of panicles. High plant density caused reduction in plant height, number of culm and chlorophyll content of the rice. No lodging was observed in both methods. Thickness of third internode and culm length was more in pot raised seedlings at both sites. When organic material was used rice yield increased by 3.81%. Higher rice production (10%) was recorded in the fields planted with pot raised seedlings. From the above study it could be conclude that the pot raised seedlings perform better than the seedlings raised by broadcasting methods.

Uniconazole 농도가 분화용 감국의 생육 및 개화에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Uniconazole Treatment on the Growth and Floweringof Potted Chrysanthemum indicum L.)

  • 본 연구는 uniconazole 농도가 감국의 생육 및 개화에 미치는 영향을 구명하여 가장 효과적인 방법을 찾음으로써 양질의 분화용 감국 생산을 위한 기초자료를 얻고자 실시되었다. 삽목 발근묘를 정식 후 2주째 적심하고 uniconazole을 농도별로 토양관주하였으며, 같은 농도(0.05mg a.i./pot)를 1회, 2회, 3회로 나누어 관주하고 동시에 단일처리와 적심처리를 행하여 감국의 생육 및 개화반응을 살펴본 결과, uniconazole을 0.05, 0.10, 0.15mg a.i./pot로 증가시킴에 따라 초장은 41.6, 52.5, 58.5%로 감소되었다. 측지수는 0.05 mg a.i./pot 처리구에서 가장 많이 증가되었으며 초장(22.6cm)도 18cm 화분에 적합하였다. 그러나, 높은 농도(0.10, 0.15mg a.i./pot)는 초장(17.0, 14.8cm)이 지나치게 짧아서 적합하지 않았다. 단일처리와 적심처리를 수행하는 경우에는 가시적인 화아발생시까지의 기간을 단축시켰지만, uniconazole 처리에 의해서는 적심과 단일처리시의 효과를 5~9일까지 지연시켰다. 화아수는 0.05mg a.i./pot에서 가장 많은 경향을 보였으나 꽃직경은 uniconazole 처리시에 감소하는 경향을 보여 꽃이 작고 많은 형태가 되었다. 또한 0.05mg a.i./pot를 1회에 처리한 경우에 화아발생시까지의 기간이 비교적 짧았으며, 화아수도 증가하였다. 따라서 정식후 2주째 적심과 단일처리 후 uniconazole 0.05mg a.i./pot를 1회 토양관주함으로써 화분과 균형을 이루는 초장을 얻을 수 있으며, compact type의 분화를 생산할 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

Photosynthetic characteristics and chlorophyll of Vitex rotundifolia in coastal sand dune

  • Background: This study analyzed the physiological adaptations of a woody plant, Vitex rotundifolia, in Goraebul coastal sand dunes from May to September 2022. Environmental factors and physiological of plants growing under field and controlled (pot) conditions were compared. Results: Photosynthesis in plants growing in the coastal sand dunes and pots was the highest in June 2022 and July 2022, respectively. Chlorophyll fluorescence indicated the presence of stress in the coastal sand dune environment. The net photosynthesis rate (PN) and Y(II) were highest in June in the coastal sand dune environment and July in the pot environment. In August and September, Y(NPQ) increased in the plants in the coastal sand dune environment, showing their photoprotective mechanism. Chlorophyll a and b contents in the pot plant leaves were higher than those in the coastal sand dune plant leaves; however, chlorophyll-a/b ratio was higher in the coastal sand dune plant leaves than in the pot plant leaves, suggesting a relatively high photosynthetic efficiency. Carotenoid content in the coastal sand dune plant leaves was higher in August and September 2022 than that in the pot plant leaves. Leaf water and soluble carbohydrate contents of the coastal sand dune plant leaves decreased in September 2022, leading to rapid leaf abscission. Diurnal variations in photosynthesis and chlorophyll fluorescence in both environments showed peak activity at 12:00 hour; however, the coastal sand dune plants had lower growth rates and Y(II) than the pot plants. Plants in the coastal sand dunes had higher leaf water and ion contents, indicating that they adapted to water stress through osmotic adjustments. However, plants growing in the coastal sand dunes exhibited reduced photosynthetic activity and accelerated decline due to seasonal temperature decreases. These findings demonstrate the adaptation mechanisms of V. rotundifolia to water stress, poor soils, and high temperature conditions in coastal sand dunes. Conclusions: The observed variations indicate the responses of the V. rotundifolia to environmental stress, and may reveal its survival strategies and adaptation mechanisms to stress. The results provide insights into the ecophysiological characteristics of V. rotundifolia and a basis for the conservation and restoration of damaged coastal sand dunes.

포트 재배에 의한 화약물질 오염토양 정화용 내오염성 식물 선정 (Selection of Tolerant Plant Species using Pot Culture for Remediation of Explosive Compounds Contaminated Soil)

  • Nine plant species were selected through vegetation survey at three military shooting ranges at northern Gyeonggi Province. Plants were germinated in normal soil and three seedlings were transplanted to a bottom sealed pot containing sandy loam soils contaminated with either RDX (291 mg/kg) or TNT (207 mg/kg). Planted, blank (without plant), and control (without explosive compound) pots were grown in triplicate at a green house for 134 days. During cultivation, transplanted plants exhibited chlorosis and necrosis in flower and leaf by explosive toxicity and stress. Only three plants, Wild soybean, Amur silver grass, Reed canary grass, survived in TNT treated pot, while seven plant species except for field penny cress and jimson weed, thrived in RDX treated pot. Appreciable amount of TNT (61.6~241.2 mg/g-D.W.) was detected only in plant roots. Up to 763.3 mg/g-D.W. along with 4-amino-2,6-dinitrotoluene, an intermediate of TNT, accumulated in the root of wild soybean. In addition, azoxy compounds, abiotic intermediates of TNT, were detected in TNT treated soils. RDX absorbed average 1,839.95 mg/kg in shoot and 204.83 mg/kg in root. Most of TNT in plant was accumulated in underground part whereas RDX was localized in aerial part. Material balance calculation showed that more than 95% of the initial TNT was removed in the planted pots whereas only 60% was removed in the blank pot. The amount of RDX removed from soil was in the order of Amur Silver Grass (51%) > Chickweed (43%) > Evening primrose (38%). Based on the results of pot cultures, Amur silver grass and Reed canary grass are selected as tolerant remedial plants for explosive toxicity.

플라스틱필름 하우스 수박 재배에서 육묘 포트 종류 및 정식 방법이 생육 및 과실 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Kind of Pot for Raising of Seedling and Planting Method on Growth and Fruit Characteristics in Cultivation of Watermelon under Plastic Film House)

  • 본 연구는 플라스틱하우스 수박 재배 시 육묘 포트종류와 그 정식 방법이 정식 후 생육 및 과실 특성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 수행하였다. 잎의 수, 면적 및 광합성률, 초장, 생체중량 모두 정식 후 시간이 경과하면서 관행포트 묘에 비해 이중플라스틱포트 묘에서 우수한 경향을 나타내었다. 수확과의 과고, 과폭 및 과중도 이중플라스틱포트 묘에서 다른 포트 묘에 비해 다소 큰 경향이었다. 과피두께는 사각형피트포트 묘에서 가장 얇았고 관행포트 묘에서 가장 두꺼웠으며, 배꼽 직경은 과피두께 결과와 반대의 경향을 나타내었다. 그리고 이중플라스틱포트 묘의 정식 깊이에 따른 초기 생육은 포트 높이의 2/3 정도에서 가장 우수하였다.

식물공장용 포트묘 로봇 이식기 개발 (Development of a Robotic Transplanter for Pot-Seedlings of Plant Factory)

  • This study was conducted to develop m automatic pot-seedling transplanter for plant factory. The transplanter consists of a gripper, row-spacing control device, nursing tray transfer system, growing trough transfer system, and gripper moving device. The gripper picks up pot-seedling. The gripper moving device moves the gripper between nursing tray and growing-flat. Nursing trays are moved to workspace by the nursing tray transfer system. The growing trough transfer system was developed to move growing trough to workspace. The row-spacing control device was used to adjust the distance between adjacent plants traversely. The results of this study are as follows. The transplanting capacity of the developed transplanter was 7.1 seconds per cycle or 1.18 second per pot-seedling. Successful planting was 98.9% without seedlings and 95.8% with seedlings.

Expression Patterns of Transposable Elements in Magnaporthe oryzae under Diverse Developmental and Environmental Conditions

  • The genome of the rice blast fungus Magnaporthe oryzae contains several types of transposable elements (TEs), and some TEs cause genetic variation that allows M. oryzae to evade host detection. We studied how five abundant TEs in rice pathogens, Pot3, Pot2, MAGGY, Line-like element (MGL) and Mg-SINE, are expressed under diverse conditions related to growth, development, and stress. Expression of Pot3 and Pot2 was activated in germinated conidia and mycelia treated with tricyclazole. Retrotransposon MAGGY was highly expressed in appressoria and tricyclazole-treated mycelia. MAGGY and Pot2 were also activated during the early and late stages of perithecia development. MGL was up-regulated in conidia and during conidial germination but not during appressorium formation. No noticeable expression of Mg-SINE was observed under most conditions. Our results should help investigate if and how condition-specific expressions of some TEs contribute to the biology and evolution of M. oryzae.

토양수분의 과, 부족이 연초의 생장과 증발산량에 미치는 영향 (EFFECT OF SOIL mOISTURE CONDITiON ON THE GROWTH AND EVAPOTRANSPIRATION OF THE TOBACCO PLANT)

  • Growth response and evapotranspiration of tobacco as to each soil moisture condition treated with different height of ground water table such as 30cm, 100cm, 170cm, and 230cm were investigated. The results obtained were as follows; 1. Soil water potential in the rhizosphere (25cm depth from surface) treated with ground water table (G.W.T) of 230 cm was less than -6.5 bar at 60 days after transplanting. 2. Dry weight of leaves per plant was the highest in the pot treated with 100 cm G.W.T and was the lowest in the pot treated with 230 cm G.W.T.. Leaves/Stem ratio of dry weight was the lowest in the pot treated with 230 cm G.W.T. This would show that extension of leaves as compared with elongation of stem was suppressed. .3. In the roster stress condition of 230 cm G.W.T., extension of leaves was continued until the latter growth stage, Relative growth rate of leaf area per plant of the pot with 30 cm G.W.T. was the highest through all growth period after fixation of G.W.7., but owing to lower density of leaf, the dry weight of leaves per plant was less rather than that of the pot with 170 cm G.W.T. at 64 days after transplanting. 4. The highest evapotranspiration per plant per day was shown at the 45th day after transplanting in the pots with 30cm and 100cm G.W.T. and at 60 days in the pots with 170cm and 230cm G.W.T respectively. 5. In the soil moisture conditions with 30cm and 100cm G.W.T., evapotranspiration per plant per hour was much higher in the daytime that at night as well as in clear day than in rain-cloudy day owing to loner relative humidity , but in the water stress condition with 230 cm G.W.T., that was much lower. 6. Total evapotranspiration per plant during the whole growing period of 64 days was in order of 30cm > 100 cm > 170 cm > 230 cm G.W.T.. Total evapotranspiration for 34 days after fixation of G.W.T was much higher at night than in the daytime in case of water stress conditions i.e 170cm and 230cm G.W.T. but in normal condition of the pots with 30cm and 100cm G.W.T. that was much higher in the daytime than at night. 7. Leaf water potential of the 3rd and 6th leaf from top at 64 days after transplanting was in order of 100cm > 30 cm > 170cm > 230cm G.W.T. The reason why leaf water potential in the pot with 30cm was less than that in the pot with 100cm G.W.T. would be the abnormal turgidity with low density of cell substrates by the excess water absorption in the pot with 30cm G.W.T..

볏짚과 계분(鷄糞)의 혼합물로 부터 Thermoactinomycetes vulgaris에 의한 생물비료(生物肥料)의 제조(製調) (Production of Biofertilizer from the Rice Straw Mixed with Hen Feces with Thermoactinomycetes vulgaris)

  • 계분(鷄糞)과 볏짚 혼합물을 Thermoactinomycetes vulgaris로 처리하므로써 악취가 나지 않고 작물(作物) 생육(生育)을 촉진시키는 생물비료(生物肥料)를 제조하였다. 비료(肥料) 제조(製調)의 처리조건은 온도 $50^{\circ}C\;pH\;8.0{\sim}8.5$, 수분함량(水分含量) 60% 였으며 발효(醱酵) 2일(日) 후에는 악취 성분으로 알려진 휘발성 지방산이 사라졌으며 결과적으로 계분(鷄糞)의 악취가 제거되었다. 제조(製調)된 비료(肥料)의 비료실험(肥效實驗)은 pot에서 Brassica rapa var. previdis의 생육(生育)을 조사(調査)함으로서 행하였다. 생물비료(生物肥料)는 황산암모니아, 건조계분(鷄糞), 평지깻묵 보다 작물생육(作物生育)을 촉진 시켰으며 다량(多量)의 시용(試用)으로도 생물(生物)의 생육(生育)저해가 작았다. 질소함량으로 pot당(當) 0.8g에 해당하는 생물비료(生物肥料)를 함유(含有)하는 시용구(試用區)에서 작물(作物)의 최대생산량(最大生産量)을 보였다.
