In this study, visual evaluation was performed with changes in peplums design to provide data which can enhance wearing image effects at the production of peplums one-piece. According to changes in volume and position of peplums, a total of 9 stimulants were chosen. Then, they were evaluated using a seven-point rating scale against 50 fashion students. The data has been analyzed by Factor Analysis, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$'s Test and the MCA method. The results of the study are as follows : 1. According to factor analysis, the components of visual evaluation depending on the changes in volume and position variations of peplums were divided into four factors: elegance, individuality, upper body correction and upper body emphasis. 2. According to visual evaluation depending on changes in the position variations of peplum, 'high waist' and 'natural waist' revealed a significant difference in elegance, individuality and upper body correction. 'Low waist' was observed in all four positions. 3. According to visual evaluation depending on the changes in volume of peplums, a significant difference at $45^{\circ}$ was observed in except for elegance. Significant differences at $90^{\circ}$ and $180^{\circ}$ were observed in all four positions. 4. In terms of interactions over in volume and position variations of peplums, interaction effects were found in two factors.
Although various technical details of the surgical procedures have been improved, Skeletal relapse is the most noteworthy complication of orthognathic surgery. It seems to be an imbalance of the perioral muscular groups resulting from changes in the cavitas oris propria after surgery. Among other factors, it is widely known with the changes of tongue posture, as indicated by the hyoid position. Ten patients that had undergone mandibular setbacks by way of Modified Obwegeser method were evaluated retrospectively. The serial cephalometric films were taken preoperatively, immediately postoperatively, after removal of IMF, and at a subsequent long-term follow-up period. The cephalometric evaluation of tongue posture were based on stable craniofacial landmarks. The relation between the 2-dimensional changes of tongue posture and hyoid position and the relapse of mandibular setback are discussed. Anatomic changes that were found to accompany such setback are as follows. 1.There are 2 cases of relapse in 10 patients at long-term follow-up(20%) 2.The tongue was moved posteriorly and its size was reduced anteriorly and posteriorly at immediate postoperative change and then the mandible shifted slightly toward the preoperative position, but the long was adapted to its new environment due to changing the position of its posterior part, and also the hyoid that moved posterioly and inferiorly was stabilized sightly posteriorly than its original position. 3.On the distance change of the suprahyoid muscle, the distance of P-H, ST-H was increased at immediate postoperative change(p<0.01) and decreased at IMF period(p<0.001), but the distance of H-Me, H-Ge was slightly decreased at IMF and long-term period(p<0.05). 4.On the width change of the pharyngeal air way, the width of the upper part of the pharyngeal space was lightly contracted at IMF and long-term period(p<0.05). 5.On the relation between mandibular setback and tongue posture and hyoid position, the significant correlation was found between the changes of some parts of mandibular setback and those of tongue posture, and not found those of hyoid position.
Purpose: This study was aimed at analysis of the changes in the condyle position in subjects with mandibular setback osteotomies Method: Twenty patients were evaluated retrospectively for their changes in the condyle position who underwent surgical mandibular setback using bilateral sagittal split osteotomies with a manual condyle repositioning technique and rigid fixation. The cephalometric and panoramic analysis was performed preoperatively, 1 week, 6 months, and 1 year postoperatively. And postoperative noise, temporomandibular joint pain, and mouth opening were clinically examined 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 8 months, 10 months, and 12 months postoperatively. Result: The condyles rotated posteriorly and laterally immediately after surgery, and they returned to the preoperative position during follow-up period but it is not significant. The statistical analysis (Paired t-test) showed no significant effects in postsurgical stability. The changes in the condyle position didn't have a significant harmful influence on temporomandibular joint disorder. Conclusion: A careful surgical mandibular setback using manual condyle repositioning and fixation technique will move condyle minimally and that will decrease the relapse and temporomandibular joint disorder.

This study was designed to evaluate the diagnostic effect of the simulatneous multifilm individualized lateral tomography in the diagnosis of the temporomandibular disorders. The subjects consisted of 29 patients with symptoms of the temporomandibular disorders. The panoramic view, oblique lateral transcranial radiograph (OLTC) (Hirozontal angulation 0°, Vertical angulation 29°), submentovertex view, and simultaneous multifilm individualized lateral tomographs (SMFI) in centric occlusion (2.5㎜ thickness difference, 5 layers) were taken for the patients. This study compared the findings from each radiographs in the determining of mandibular condylar position with dual linear measurement of the subjective closest posterior and subjective closest anterior interarticular space and in the determining of bony changes on the studied 30 temporomandibular joints (TMJ) with symptoms of the temporomandibular disorders. The results were as follows: 1. The distribution of condylar position of OLTC and 5 layers of SMFI depended on the radiographs (p<0.05). The condylar position and the distribution of condylar position of OLTC were more similar to lateral sections of the SMFI than mesial sections, and in the distribution of the condylar position of SMFI, the more lateral sections of SMFI, the more concentric 2. positions. There were 10 cases in which all layers showed the same condylar position as that of OLTC. There were 3 cases in which no layers showed the same condylar position as that of OLTC. 3. In the SMFI of 30 Temporomandibular joints studied, there is 13 cases in which all five layers represented the same condylar position in the same TMJ and 11 cases in which 4 layers represented the same condylar position in the same TMJ and 6 cases in which 3 layers represented the same condylar position in the same TMJ. So at least 3 layers of SMFI represented same condylar position in the same TMJ. 4. The bony changes were not detected in conventional radiographs on the temporomandibular joint and the bony changes were not detected in simultaneous multifilm individualized lateral tomographs. The bony changes were detected in conventional radiographs on the temporomandibular joint and the bony changes were detected in simultaneous multifilm individualized lateral tomographs. SMFI provided a meams for a three dimensional visualization of the shape, the position and the extent of bony changes of TMJ.

The purpose of this study is to recognize the differences of visual evaluation by variations in width of hem line and waistline position of the flare pants. The stimuli are 9 samples: One control group, 3 variations of the width of hem line and 3 variations of the waistline position. The data has been obtained from 44 fashion students. The data has been analyzed by Factor Analysis, Anova, Scheffe's Test and the MCA method. The results of the study are as follows: The visual evaluation by the width of hem line and waistline position of flare pants are composed of 5 factors : physical characteristics, elegance, originality, comfort, and stiffness. Among these factors, the physical characteristic is evaluated to be the most important factor. As a v isual evaluation result o f changes in the width o f hern l ine, 8 4 cm in width (the narrowest width) was highly evaluated in physical characteristics, elegance, and originality factors. For the result of changes in the waistline position, high-waisted flare pants were highly effective in physical characteristics, and also evaluated well in elegance, originality and stiffness factors. The flare pants did not show any interaction between the width of hem line and waistline position. The waistline position had more influence on visual evaluation in physical characteristics, originality and comfort factors while elegance and stiffness factors were affected by the width of hem line.
Purpose: This study investigated the muscular activity of abdominal muscles during a variety of plank exercises following changes in the leg and head positions. Methods: Thirty healthy individuals participated in this study. They performed six variations of plank exercises, including three changes in head position and two changes in leg position. Each plank was defined as head neutral-leg neutral, head up-leg neutral, head down-leg neutral, head neutral-leg wide, head up-leg wide, and head down-leg wide. During the plank excises, the muscle activities of the rectus abdominis, internal oblique, erector spinae, and upper trapezius were measured. Results: The head down position significantly increased the rectus abdominis activity compared to other head positions (p<0.05). On the other hand, the upper trapezius muscle activity was significantly higher with the head up position compared to other head positions (p<0.05). Regardless of head positions, both the rectus abdominis and internal oblique muscles were significantly activated with leg wide position compared to the leg neutral position (p<0.05). Conclusion: Head and leg positions could change the muscular activities of abdominal muscles during plank exercises. For example, the head down position is effective for activating the rectus abdominis while the leg wide position could be advantageous for enhancing the internal oblique and rectus abdominis.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the positional changes of the mandibular condyles after orthognathic surgery In patients with severe skeletal Class III malocclusion. This study was based on 21 patients who had received bilateral sagittal split osteotomy for mandibular setback. Among them 14 were fixated non - rigidly (W group), and 7 were fixated rigidly (R group). After submental vertex view analysis, each subject was given the T.M.J. Tomogram in both centric occlusion and centric relation immediate before, $4\~6$ weeks after and more than 6 months after surgery. The anteroposterior and vertical changes between each time interval were measured and analyzed statistically. Following results were obtained. 1. There was no significant difference between right and left condyles in their anteroposterior and vertical changes of the condylar position. 2. In anteroposterior changes of condylar position of the wire fixation group, the condyles were moved anteriorly 4-6 weeks after surgery, and then the pattern of reestablishment to their preoperative position was observed more than 6 months after surgery. In the rigid fixation group, there was no significant difference in any observation periods of centric occlusion and centric relation. 3. In vertical changes of condylar position of the wire fixation group. the condyles were moved inferiorly 4-6 weeks after surgery, and then the pattern of reestablishment to their preoperative position was observed more than 6 months after surgery. In the rigid fixation group, the condyles were moved inferiorly 4-6 weeks after surgery, and then the pattern of reestablishment to their preoperative position was observed more than 6 months after surgery in centric occlusion only.

Purpose : The purpose of this study were to determine whether changes of position might effect the chest expansion and pulmonary function of the 20s men obesity. Methods : Thirty subjects with obesity(M:30, % fat>25.0) and thirty normal subjects(M:30, % fat<24.9) were participated in experiment. Subjects were assessed according to position changes(supine position, $45^{\circ}$ lean sitting position, $90^{\circ}$ sitting position) using chest length(chest length for resting, chest expansion) and pulmonary function (Tidal volume, Inspiratory capacity, Vital capacity, Inspiratory reserve volume, Expiratory reserve volume) by the CardioTouch 3000S(BIONET, USA). Repeated measure ANOVA was used to compare each region data of chest length and pulmonary function according to changes of position with obesity and normal subjects. Results : These findings suggest that the obesity can be appear to low chest expansion and pulmonary function than normal subjects on position method. In comparison of three experimental position, supine position was more low. Conclusion : This study showed position of the obesity appear low chest expansion and function of pulmonary volume than normal subjects, and thus it indicates that the pulmonary function of the obesity will be suggest objective respiratory data through the exercise program.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) patterns on electromyography (EMG) activity in the rectus abdominis, internal abdominal oblique, external abdominal oblique, and erector spinae according to position changes. Methods: Ten healthy adults volunteered to participate in the study. The subjects were required to complete exercises that followed two PNF extremity patterns, namely, an upper extremity extension-adduction-internal rotation pattern and a lower extremity flexion-adduction-external rotation pattern. The exercises were applied in the supine, side-lying, and sitting positions. Repeated measure one-way ANOVA and post-hoc Bonferroni correction were used to determine the influence of the patterns on muscle activity for each muscle, and descriptive statistics were then used to determine the local/global muscle ratios. Results: The upper extremity pattern had a significant effect on the rectus abdominis and erector spinae in the supine position, and on the internal oblique and external oblique in the sitting position (p<0.05). The median value for the internal oblique/rectus abdominis showed a high ratio of 2.05, and a high ratio of 1.01 was shown for the internal oblique/external oblique in the sitting position. The lower extremity pattern had a significant effect on the rectus abdominis in the side-lying position and on the internal oblique, external oblique, and erector spinae in the sitting position (p<0.05). The median value for the internal oblique/rectus abdominis showed a high ratio of 2.83 in the sitting position and a high ratio of 1.30 for the internal oblique/external oblique in the side-lying position. Conclusion: The PNF pattern increases local muscle activation in an unstable position. Therefore, when the pattern is used for intervention purposes, trunk stability and varied position changes should be taken into account.
To know the proper setup posture for the various clubs, changes of setup variables according to the change of golf club length was investigated. Swing motions of three male low handicappers including a professional were taken using two high-speed videocameras. Four clubs iron 7, iron 5, iron 3 and driver (wood 1) were selected for this experiment. Three dimensional motion analysis techniques were used to get the kinematical variables. Mathcad and Kwon3D motion analysis program were used to analyze the position, distance and angle data in three dimensions. The variables divided into three categories 1) position and width of anterior-posterior direction 2) position and width of lateral direction 3) angles and evaluated based on the theories of many good golf teachers. Major findings of this study were as follows. 1.The stance (distance between ankle joints) was increased as the length of the club increased but the increasing width was not large. It ranges from 5cm to 10cm and professional player showed small changes. 2. Forward lean angle of trunk was decreased (more erected) as the length of the club increased. It ranges from 30 degrees for iron7 to 25 degrees for driver. 3. Angle between horizontal and right shoulder were increased as the length of the club increased. It ranges from 10 degrees to 20 degrees and professional player showed small changes. 4. Anterior-posterior position of the shoulders were located in front of the foot for all clubs and the difference between the shoulder and knee position was decreased as the length of the club increased. 5. Anterior-posterior position of grip (hand) was located almost beneath the shoulders (2.5cm front) for iron7, but it increased to 10cm for the driver. This grip adjustment makes the height of the posture increased only 5cm from iron7 to driver. 6. Lateral position of grip located at 5cm left for the face of iron7, but it located at the right side (behind) for the face of driver. 7. Lateral position of the ball located at the 40%(15cm) of stance from left ankle for iron7 and located at the 10% (5cm) of stance for driver. 8. Head always located at the right side of the stance and the midpoint of the eyes located at the 37% of stance from the right ankle for all clubs. This means that the axis of swing always maintained consistently for all clubs. 9. Left foot opened to the target for all subject and clubs. The maximum open angle was 25 degrees. Overall result shows that the changes of the setup variables vary only small ranges from iron7 to driver. Paradoxically it could be concluded that the failure of swing result from the excessive changes of setup not from the incorrect changes. These findings will be useful for evaluating the setup motion of golf swing and helpful to most golfers.
