  • This paper proposed PID controller for torch slider and PD controller for motor right wheel. to control the motion of two-wheeled welding mobile robot with seam tracking sensor touched on welding line. The motion control is realized in the view of keeping constant welding velocity and precise seam tracking even though the target welding line is on straight line or curved line. The position and direction of the body of the mottle robot are controlled by using signal errors between seam tracking sensor and body positioning sensor attached on the end of torch slider and body side of the mobile robot, respectively. In turning motion, the body and the torch slider are controlled by using the kinematic model related with two motions of body turning and torch sliding. The straight locomotion is controlled according to eleven control patterns obtained from displacements between two sensors of the seam tracking sensor and the body positioning sensor. The effectiveness is proven through the experimental results fur lattice type welding line. Through the experimental results, we can see that the position value of the electrode end point and the welding velocity are controlled almost constantly both in straight and turning locomotion.

  • A part of the big differences between LEO(Low Earth Orbit) and GEO(Geostationary Earth Orbit) satellite is that transfer orbit is used or not or what tolerance of the position on the mission orbit is permitted. That is to say, the transfer orbit is not used and the constraint of orbit position is not adapted on LEO satellite. Whereas for GEO satellite case, the transfer orbit shall be used due to the very high altitude and the satellite shall be stayed in the station keeping box which is permitted on the mission orbit. These phases are functions for AOCS mission. The aim of this paper is to introduce the AOCS hardware configuration for COMS (Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite). The AOCS hardware of COMS consist of 3 Linear Analogue Sun Sensors (LIASS), 3 Bi-Axis Sun Sensors (BASS), 2 Infra-Red Earth Sensors (IRES), 3 Fiber Optical Gyroscopes (FOG), 5 momentum wheels and 14 thrusters. In this paper, each component is explained how to be used, how to locate and what relation between the AOCS algorithm and these components.

  • In this paper, we develop an attachable head of bed(HOB) monitoring system, which can prevent ventilator associated pneumonia(VAP), and analyze the performance of the developed HOB monitoring system. The main purpose of the HOB monitoring system is to support visible HOB display for keeping patients' position effectively and collect data for analysis of the relation between HOB elevation and patients' symptom. The HOB monitoring system is developed in attached-type and uses an FIR filter with heuristic logic to remove the unwanted noise. The optical encoder is used for the performance analysis of the developed HOB monitoring system.

  • Location-Based Services(LBS) give rise to location-dependent queries of which results depend on the positions of moving objects. Because positions of moving objects change continuously, indexes of moving object must perform update operations frequently for keeping the changed position information. Existing spatial index (Grid File, R-Tree, KDB-tree etc.) proposed as index structure to search static data effectively. There are not suitable for index technique of moving object database that position data is changed continuously. In this paper, I propose a dynamic hashing index that insertion/delete costs are low. The dynamic hashing structure is that apply dynamic hashing techniques to combine a hash and a tree to a spatial index. The results of my extensive experiments show the dynamic hashing index outperforms the $R^$ $R^*$-tree and the fixed grid.

  • Radar system must estimate exactly quickness and target in interference channel. Because interference of radio channel is multipath channel by artificial structure and nature structure. signal estimation is difficult. As long as, get rid of interference signal have been study digital beamforming, adaptive array antenna and so on. In this paper, proposed SPT-SALCMV beamforming algorithm get rid of coherent interference algorithm and adaptive array antenna. Adaptive array forms null pattern and reduces gains for direction of interference signal. And estimate signal that want by keeping gains of beam pattern changelessly to target signal direction. In this paper, proposed SPT-SALCMV algorithm was exactly received position of target. But general SPT-LCMV algorithm resulted beam error about 30degrees. Therefore, proved that SPT-SALCMV algerian that propose in this paper is more excellent than genaral SPT-LCMV algorithm.

  • In order to utilize the marine environment in various fields such as renewable energy and offshore plant, it is necessary to utilize the far and deep ocean. However, there is still a limit to overcome and utilize the extreme deep-sea environment. Currently, the mooring system, which is the representative position control method of floating structure, has a structural and economic limit to expand the installation range to extreme deep-sea environment. Research has been conducted to utilize wave energy by developing floater using flapping foil as an alternative for station keeping in the deep sea by University of Ulsan. Based on the research, a model test was conducted for application to actual structures. In this study, we investigate how the floating body with passive flapping foils move in regular waves with different periods and study the condition of the model that can maintain its position within a certain range by overcoming the movement.

  • Dynamic Positioning (DP) is a system that uses computer-controlled thrusters, propellers, and other propulsion devices to automatically maintain a vessel's position and heading. In this study, a wind turbine installation vessel with DP capabilities was proposed for use in mild environmental conditions in the Yellow Sea. The thruster arrangements of the vessel were analyzed in relation to wind and current loads, and it was found that a four-corner arrangement of thrusters provided the best position-keeping performance. The vessel's DP control performance was also analyzed in relation to the increased environmental load caused by the presence of a wind turbine, using a capability plot. The vessel's performance was evaluated in three different states: floating with no load, during the loading of a wind turbine and suction buckets, and after the wind turbine has been installed. The use of 750 kW and 1,000 kW thrusters was also considered, and the environmental loads in the Saemangeum coastal area and the environmental load when a 5-Megawatt wind turbine is on board were assessed. The study concluded that at least four thrusters should be used for DP to safely manage the installation process of wind turbines.

  • This study investigated the allowance usage practices and factors affecting saving behavior from 291 elementary school students in Susan. Frequency distributions, Pearson product-moment correlations, and logistic regression analysis were conducted by SPSS Windows. Two-fifths of the respondents did not regularly receive allowance. Many parents did not guide what children spent their money on before using it. Children spent their allowances on buying snacks, stationary, and playing in the game room. Only a small number of the respondents kept a record, but many children saved money. On the other hand, in the logistic regression analysis, the significant variables explaining children's saving behavior were parents' guidance before using allowance, record-keeping, and doing household work for an allowance. These results imply that parents are in the best position to give children positive experiences towards financial management.

  • In harbour the practical shiphandlers should have a expert knowledge of systematically reducing head-way and keeping ship's positions to the final position with confidence and under control. But now in the practical approaches we do not have any special maneuvers of controlling the ship effi-ciently regarding the headway and approaches except some existing reduction of speeds according to the Weight-to-Power Ratio, use of astern power and Rudder Cycling. Consequently this study put Woo's Super Rudder Controlling originally developed by Captain Woo, Ph. D. to practical use as a special maneuvers in the port approaches. The conclusions of this paper are drawn as follows : 1) Optimum standard and desirable controls in combination of three engine speeds with three yaw ang-les were proposed for the practical shiphandlers, 2) According to simulation of the pilotships the Super advances are 10.5 ship lengths for Full full full maneuvers, and 7.9 ship lengths for Full half maneuvers approximately, 3) Approach maneuvers to anchorages by trying Woo's Super Rudder Controlling saved about 30% of total standby time in comparison with the existing Weight-to-Power Ratio maneuvers in the Pusan and Kwang Yang ports.

  • The applications of magnetic fluid can be normally made by 1) using changes of a property of matter caused by applied magnetic field; 2) preserving magnetic fluid at a certain position or in a magnetic fluid keeping the body in a floating condition; 3) controlling the flow of magnetic fluid by means of magnetic field. However, these are usually made by using their methods together. In this study, the natural convection flow of a magnetic fluid in annular pipes is experimentally analyzed. High temperature is kept constantly inside of a circular pipe of experimental model, on the other hand, low temperature is kept constantly outside of it. In experiments, several cases are carried out in order to clarify the fluence of direction and intensity of magnetic fields on the natural convection of magnetic fluid. Therefore magnetic fields are applied in various intensity and up and down directions by permanent magnets.
