Sensorless IPMSM Control Based on an Extended Nonlinear Observer with Rotational Inertia Adjustment and Equivalent Flux Error Compensation

  • Mechanical and electrical parameter uncertainties cause dynamic and static estimation errors of the rotor speed and position, resulting in performance deterioration of sensorless control systems. This paper applies an extended nonlinear observer to interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSM) for the simultaneous estimation of the rotor speed and position. Two compensation methods are proposed to improve the observer performance against parameter uncertainties: an on-line rotational inertia adjustment approach that employs the gradient descent algorithm to suppress dynamic estimation errors, and an equivalent flux error compensation approach to eliminate static estimation errors caused by inaccurate electrical parameters. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is demonstrated by experimental tests.

  • It is a very important problem that we grasp the accurate position at car navigation system. The GPS has used for knowing position because of accumulating few errors, but it have errors that are Tropospheric error, ionospheric error and Multipath error and so on. In this paper, We estimate moving position of a vehicle by Kalman filter using initial value after deducing the line equation using initial value and target value of map data. Then, we compensate GPS errors compare estimated poing with GPS errors.   • The occurrence of a single bit error in transmission bitstream leads to serious temporal and spatial errors. Because moving picture coding as MPEG-2 based on block coding algorithm uses variable length coding and motion compensation coding algorithm. In this paper, we propose algorithm to conceal occurred error of I-frames in transmission channel using data of the neighboring blocks in decoder. We divide a damaged macroblock of I-frame into four sub blocks and compose new macroblock using the neighboring blocks for each sub block. We estimate the block with minimum difference value through block matching with previous frame for new macroblocks and replace each estimated block with damaged sub block in the same position. Through simulation results, the proposed algorithm will be applied to a characteristic of moving with effect and shows better performance than conventional error concealment algorithms from visual and PSNR of view.

  • To apply stereo vision system to obstacle recognition system of AGV, we constructed algorithm of stereo matching and distance measuring with stereo image for positioning of object in area. And using this system, we look into the error between real position and measured position, and studied relationship of compensation.

  • eLoran is enhanced Loran-C and eLoran is researched for as GPS backup system because this system is resistant to signal interference and has high accuracy. TOA measurements of eLoran include errors proportional to the range such as PF, SF, ASF and EF. Therefore these error factors must be compensated for improved accuracy of position. Generally, error models or GPS aided compensation methods are used, but these methods are limited by lack of infrastructure or system performance. Therefore, this paper proposes new model of error factors included in eLoran TOA measurements and navigation algorithm using this model. Error factors in this model are sum of a certain size of error and error proportional to the range. And feasibility and performance of proposed navigation algorithm are verified by using raw measurements.

  • Nowadays, CPS is used widely, especially in cases which need more precise position information, such as car navigation systems and even in the mobile robot for position measuring in the outdoor environment. RTK (Real-Time Kinematics) and DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System) have more precise accuracy than the general-purposed GPS. However can't easily use them because of high prices and large size of equipments. In order fur the mobile robot to obtain precise position information it is important that CPS receiver has portability and low price. In this study, we introduce a new GPS data acquisition system that offers the precise position data using the DGPS mechanism and satisfying low cost and portability. In addition to this, we propose an improved data compensation algorithm that offers more accurate position information to the outdoor mobile robot by compensating the error rate of CPS data measured from the three points with geometrical rotation and distance formula. Proposed method is verified by comparing with the precise real position data obtained by RTK. Proposed method has more than 70% performance enhancement.

  • This paper presents a machining error compensation methodology due to deflection of micro cutting tools in side cutting processes. Generally in order to compensate for tool deflection errors it is necessary to carry out a series of simulations, cutting force prediction, tool deflection estimation and compensation method. These can induce numerous calculations and expensive costs. This study proposes an improved approach which can compensate for machining errors without simulation processes concerning prediction of cutting force and tool deflection. Based on SEM images of test cutting specimens, polynomial relationships between machining errors and corrected tool positions were induced. Taking into account changes of cutting conditions caused by tool position variation, an iterative algorithm was applied in order to determine corrected tool position. Experimental works were carried out to validate the proposed approach. Comparing machining errors of nominal cutting with those of compensated cutting, overall machining errors could be remarkably reduced.

운동량 감시 기능을 포함한 개인항법시스템 개발 (Development of a Personal Navigation System Including Activity Monitoring Function)

  • The design and implementation of a personal navigation system including activity monitoring function is given in this paper. The system consists of a 3 dimensional MEMS accelerometer, digital compasses and ZigBee communication. An accelerometer and digital compasses are used to compute the position and activity. The obtained position and activity information is transmitted to a fixed beacon via ZigBee. At the same time, activity information is stored in the personal navigation system to a batch analysis program. The step detection algorithm which is robust to attaching location is proposed. Also two digital compass error compensation algorithms are proposed to find more precise headings. The experiments with a real system show that the activities of users and continuous locations less than 1.5m errors are obtained after 80m walking.

  • The maritime industry is expanding at an alarming rate and as such there is a perpetual need to improve situation awareness in the maritime environment using new and emerging technology. Tracking is one of the numerous ways of enhancing situation awareness by providing information that may be useful to the operator. The tracking system described herein comprises determining existing states of own ship, state prediction and state compensation caused by random noise. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the process of tracking and develop a tracking algorithm by using ${\alpha}-{\beta}-{\gamma}$ tracking filter under a random noise or irregular motion for use in a warship. The algorithm involves initializing the input parameters of position, velocity and course. The actual positions are then computed for each time interval. In addition, a weighted difference of the observed and predicted position at the nth observation is added to the predicted position to obtain the smoothed position. This estimation is subsequently employed to determine the predicted position at (n+1). The smoothed values, predicted values and the observed values are used to compute the twice distance root mean square (2drms) error as a measure of accuracy of the tracking module.

위치추적을 위한 UWB 센서 튜닝 및 상황인지형 서비스에의 응용 (Ultra-Wide Band Sensor Tuning for Localization and its Application to Context-Aware Services)

  • 본 논문은 UWB 센서를 이용한 위치인식 시스템의 구현 및 실험결과와 상황인지형 서비스 구현에 대하여 기술한다. 정확한 위치측정을 위해 UWB 센서의 경사도(pitch), 편주(yaw), 센서 개수, tag 높이 등의 변화에 따른 위치인식 오차를 측정하여 각 변수의 설정 방법을 실험하였다. 이를 이용한 응용으로 상황인지 기술에 바탕한 지능형 헬스트레이닝 관리 시스템 구현하였다. 지능형 헬스 트레이닝 관리 시스템은 헬스장에서 피 훈련자의 위치와 장비의 사용 상태를 인식하여, 적절한 훈련 스케줄을 피 훈련자에게 제공하며, 그에 따른 훈련 장비들의 사용법을 PDA를 통해 안내한다. 상황인지형 서비스의 제공을 위해서는 사용자의 위치와 이동 정보에 대한 오차 보정이 요구되어 사용자의 이동하는 속도를 이용한 위치 보정 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 실험 결과는 제안된 보정 알고리즘을 적용함으로써 이 알고리즘이 적용하지 않았을 때에 비해 오류 데이터가 30% 정도 감소하였다.
