Various types of digital displays from PC monitor up to smart watch have been developed in response to the dramatic technological progress of electronics. Accordingly, web content creators have the need to provide web contents respectively depending on the different display environments, which increases production time and costs. As a technique for overcoming this, the responsive web design method has been proposed, which means a web page with the size of the screen being adjusted depending on the types of display. Although the responsive web system is increasingly implemented in the region of contents search pages of domestic portals, there are still many cases that contents are implemented separately for PC and for mobile. In this paper, we investigate the responsive types of the web implementation of contents search pages of domestic portal, and propose an efficient new UI for responsive web to individual types of contents search pages which responsive design is not applied to.

This paper examines the ways of using information resources available through information retrieval systems of portal sites. We analyze the types of information resources, search capabilities, and interfaces of Naver, Empas, and Google Scholar. Naver's retrieval system sells research reports, papers, patents information, etc. to users, which is similar to C2C(Customer to Customer in e-commerce environment). Empas provides information from journals, research reports, and proceedings with no charge. Google Scholar's noteworthy efforts are their collaborative programs with and/or for major U.S. libraries, such as "Library Link" and "Library Project." Considering the extended information retrieval services of portals, especially the services like Google Scholar's library programs, libraries need to develop more specialized services, such as the customized information service for individual user, development of user convenience tools like OCLC WorldCat, more accessibility through ubiquitous library concept, and collaboration among libraries.

The purpose of this paper is to propose a powerful alternative in designing knowledge portals using Topic Maps(TM). All information is processing for one topic, about each topics define to association and composite flow of information. and all topics about add occurrence to use in the OpenAPI. Also represent to UI of graphic for intuitional representation, and using JavaScript for Cross-Browsing. so that not using XTM of a standard Topic Maps(TM) and using JSON for a simple represent to data. The results made for intuitional process UI and extensive limits to display for new information before until now musician search system. In future positive to musician search for music.

The main difference between web searching and traditional searching is that the web provides and supports multimedia searching. This study aims to investigate the multimedia searching behavior of users of NAVER, a major Korean search portal. In conducting this study, the query logs and click logs of a unified search service were analyzed. The results of this study show that among the multimedia queries submitted by users, audio searches are the dominant media type, followed similarly by video and image searches. On the other hand, among the multimedia documents clicked on, video is the most popular collection type followed by image and audio collections. Entertainment is the most popular topic in both multimedia queries and clicks. The results of this study can be implemented for the portal's development of multimedia content and searching algorithms.

Force induced by the natural ventilation in tunnel is likely to generate adverse influences on the airflow during the normal operation and create even more unfavorable circumstances during the tunnel fire. The influence of the natural ventilation is required to take into account in designing and operating the ventilation as well as safety systems. The magnitude of natural ventilation force depends on a variety of factors associated with the topographical, meteorological and physical features of tunnel. Unfortunately, at this moment those are difficult to quantify and none of the countries has suggested its estimation method in the design guideline. This study aims at quantifying the natural ventilation force at a local highway tunnel by three different methods. The first method employes direct measurement of the pressure at portals, while the second applies a stepwise approach to eliminate the piston effect ahead of deriving the natural ventilation force and the third method uses the concept of barometric barrier.

Recently large amounts of customer information has leaked ranging from public institutions to the large-scale of portals, and similar information leakage incidents owing to the absence of personal information management have subsequently occurred. Therefore, the security infrastructure in which leakage of internal data can be blocked fundamentally is emerging as a key issue. An integrated identity and access management architecture which performs user access and its rights management, authentication and audit of the business systems is more important to improve the efficiency of business. In addition, this approach is emerging as a safe and effective ways for identity and access rights management. In this paper, we analyze how an integrated approach for identity and access management to improve the efficiency of the computational work and to strengthen the security in local government administration should be constructed, and proposed the preferred solution.

Ganglionic cyst formation within the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) of knee has not been reported. We describe a case of an intraligamentous ganglionic cyst of PCL. Arthroscopic technique through both the posteromedial and posterolateral portals was used for approach. Using probe, PCL was splitted and perforated ganglionic cyst at tibial attachement side. At 2 years follow up, the patient was free of symptoms with a full range of motion and follow-up MR image showed that there was no recurred ganglionic cyst.

It devides that a comic book is based on paper and the other one is serviced through the medium of internet. Each one called conventional form of comic book and digital one. Currently digital comics are published on the various portals and WEB sites and they become one of the comic media and service. However, it is simply uploaded scan-images of comic book on monitors instead of paper. This is just only difference of output form of comics and it does not bring out any digital feature. Now we need a new comic research and experiments that are applied characters of digital for the conventional comic directing. Thus this research presents that the new possibility of digital comics with the core of digital contents, interactivity is applied for comic frame-manner and user customized storytelling.

Objectives: Current information & communication technology is advancing very rapidly and the ripple effects are spreading all over society traditional Korean medicine (TKM) is no exception. We draw up afuture plan and target system's architecture of KIOM's OASIS to follow the information change and reinforce the supporting infra for TKM research. Methods: First, we analyzed the information circumstances of western and eastern medicine, both overseas and domestic, especially investigating the detailed changes domestically. Second, we grasped the present conditions of OASIS and compared it with other information portals. Finally, we drew a future plan and system architecture from the analysis results. Results: First, the information status of western medicine is much more advanced than TKM's, and overseas information circumstances are likewise more developed than domestics. Second, we found that OASIS is performing the central research infra role well in TKM. Finally we designed an information system architecture which is composed of an infra layer, an application layer and a service layer. Conclusion: We must integrate information materials such as literature, research manpower, facilities and standards to make TKM's knowledge portal successful. In detail, we have to make TKM's information classification code, build up the electronic TKM library and offer complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) trends.

The study aims to look into relations between internet portal images and long-term orientation for continuing growth in the internet portal market with intensifying competition. In detail, the study aimed to identify the effect of the Internet portal image on long-term orientation and the relationship between satisfaction and the intention to recommend. As a result of an empirical analysis, the attribute of the image evaluation of the Internet portal sites was deduced to be a factor which included the affordances of information, entertainment and additional services, customer services, and convenience. All the four areas were found to significantly affect long-term orientation. Specifically, the affordances of information and entertainment and additional services were shown to be the most influential. In addition, the finding turned out that long-term orientation affected significantly consumer satisfaction and recommendation intention, and the satisfaction of relative portal had a significant effect on recommendation intention. These research results are supposed to be useful basic data for establishing competitive strategies of differentiated Internet portals in the market.
