Analysis of vessel traffic patterns near Busan Port using AIS data (AIS 데이터를 활용한 부산항 인근 선박통항패턴 분석)

  • Efficient operation of ships can transport cargo to ports safer and faster, and reduce fuel costs. Therefore, in this study, the pattern was analyzed using AIS data of ships passing near Busan Port, a representative port in Korea. The analysis of vessel traffic patterns was approached with a grid-based node generation method, which can be used for research such as optimal route and route prediction.

  • 9.11 terrors which happen in 2001 in the U.S. recognize importance about national security and Department of Commerce, country safety department, Federal Communication Commission(FCC) etc. are establishing RFID sticking plan in harbor exit and entrance container for this, and it is real condition that is preparing preparation of law and system that establishes harbor peace law(Safe Port Act) on October, 2006 and acts on for U.S. about container load cargo Europe and Asia each countries. These law and system is logistics security that strengthen search for import and export freight and security to main contents. To meet in these circumstance subsequent, this paper is to examine the following three themes. First, examined necessity of logistics security and logistics security strengthening tendency, and second, examined in achievement of logistics business and RFID, and third, presented logistics security process that utilize change of realization about logistics security and RFID's role for logistics security. Through upper investigation, this paper suggested the realization about logistics security raising, logistics security connection system construction by export step, real-time freight chase that use RFID, construction necessity of executive system and development of logistics security equipment required.

  • 삼면이 바다로 이루어진 우리나라의 특징상 다른 나라로의 이동은 하늘길과 바닷길로만 가능하다. 외국과의 다양한 교류로 인해 비행기와 배를 이용한 승객 및 물류가 증대하면서 항공 교통량과 해상 교통량은 급속도로 증가하는 추세이다. 항공관제는 해상관제와는 서로 다르면서도 비슷한 측면이 존재하므로 항공관제 시스템을 분석함으로써 향후 해상교통관제의 발전 방향을 살펴보는데 의미가 있다. 본 논문에서는 항공관제와 해상관제와의 차이점, 항공관제 시스템의 구성과 해상교통관제 시스템의 구성을 비교하고, 이를 통해 항공관제 시스템에서 해상교통관제 시스템에 적용할 수 있는 기능을 도출한다.

A Study on the Relative Importance of Evaluation Factors for Improvement of Port Security (항만보안 강화를 위한 평가요인과 상대적 중요도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to extract the evaluation factors and assess the relative importance between the factors. For this purpose, the evaluation factors were extracted through literature review and the process of brainstorming with experts, who are related to port security. The evaluation factors were then classified into four higher factors and twelve sub- factors through the use of the AHP method. A survey on the classified factors was conducted by experts composed of public officials, port authority employees and education institutions officials. We also carried out statistical tests to determine the perception gap of weights between the groups. As a result of a relative importance analysis of strength, the security operating system factor was highest, followed by improvement of hardware facilities and increase of security personnel. There was a difference in perception among the groups in policy support, facility support and personnel resources budget support. The results of the analysis show that the strength operating system through the establishment of an integrated monitoring system is a priority. It is necessary to understand the difference of perception between groups and build a systematic cooperation system. The evaluation factors extracted from this study can be used for the measurement of port security efficiency in further work.

  • The International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code has come into force on July 7$^{th}$ 2004. It would therefore be prudent that all parties' concerned put in place, methodically, systematically and as soon as possible, all the necessary infrastructure needed to give effect to all the decisions of the Conference. But the ISPS Code doesn't have the details during implementation. For example, how to legislate, administrate\ulcorner How are the data relating to security incident saved\ulcorner So, the author will lay emphasis to expatiate on three aspects in this thesis on the basis of the fact of anti-terrorism at sea.

A Study on Risk Management for Export Control on Strategic Trade in Supply Chain Management

  • In this study, AHP analysis was conducted through a survey that was organized by 9 job categories. The results show that sustainable operation risks have the highest priority level among all criteria with management interest having the highest priority level within sustainable operation risks related attributes. The most important risk attributes among stakeholder risks appeared to be asset security and cargo and conveyance security, with education and training being the most important among regulatory risks. Effective management and response to the risks from export controls on strategic trade require an understanding of supply chain security and compliance programs, effective training programs, investments for development of security systems that meet international standards. In addition, the government needs to focus on developing professionals and providing support for companies with compliance programs, working closely with businesses.

  • In this study, the scope of previous logistics security were focused only on port and ship. Because of it now extends to the overall (export and import) supply chain areas and in regards with supply security programs in the international level, it reviewed supply chain security programs categorized them into 'ships and port security system', 'container screening system', 'logistics chain authorization system' which are expanded to be adopted in the international level. The major features of those programs are summarized as in building risk management system, providing information ahead, selectivity test and benefits to AEO authorized companies in the customs administration level. The government and companies which are to ensure supply chain security and trade facilitation in order to cope actively with international customs administrative atmosphere need to do the followings : First, they need to build an intra-government integrated supply chain security and make efforts to conclude AEO MRA in order to increase trade competitiveness among major trading countries. Second, they need to build supply chain risk management system in order to enhance management performance through overseas market and company level strategy to obtain and maintain AEO authorization in the company level.

  • This paper is intended as an investigation of introduction of Maritime Security System. In the last few years, several articles have been devoted to the study of ISPS Code(International Code for the Security of Ships and of Port Facilities). The Diplomatic Conference on Maritime Security held in London in December 2002 adopted new provisions in the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 and this ISPS Code to enhance maritime security. These new requirements form the international framework through which ships and port facilities can co-operate to detect and deter acts which threaten security in the maritime transport sector. Accordingly, the purpose of this paper is to suggest an introduction, if Maritime Security System and understanding of ISPS Code.

  • Despite of information security installation, leakage of personal information in web services has not decreased. This is because traffics to web applications are still vulnerable by permitting external sources to access services in port HTTF 80 and HTTPS 443, even with firewall systems in place. This thesis analyzes various attack patterns resulted from web service environment and vulnerable traffic and categorizes the traffics into normal and abnormal traffics. Also this proposes ways to analyze web application attack patterns from those abnormal traffics based on weak points warned in OWASF(Open Web Application Security Project), design a system capable of detect and isolate attacks in real time, and increase efficiency of preventing attacks.
