쇄파대의 저질부유에 관한 현지관측 (Field observation of sediment suspension in the surf zone)

  • 저질의 부유 현상이 일련의 쇄파라고 하는 파동 현상에 어떠한 형태로 연동하는가를 면밀히 조사하기 위하여 현지해안의 쇄파대내에 주 관측지점을 설치하고 부유사 농도와 유속, 수위변동 등의 관련 파랑 제원을 계측하였다. 분석을 위해 수위변동, 유속변동치의 부유사농도에 대한 상관관계를 조사하였으며, 상관이 탁월한 주기대에 대한 ensemble 평균 분석으로 유속 및 수위변동의 위상에 따른 부유사 농도의 변화와의 관계를 명백히 하여 다음의 결론을 얻었다. 1) 부유사의 농도 변동은 유속 및 수위변동의 에너지가 가장 큰 장주기 성분(100s)에 있서 상관이 높았으며, 2) 또한, 1차mode의 장주기중복파의 유속 성분이 해안으로 향하여 가속하는 위상 즉, 수면 경사가 상대적으로 해안선측보다 외해측이 높은 위상에서 부유사 농도가 가장 높아짐을 명백히 하였다.

Characteristics and Structure of Benthic Algal Community in Pohang New Port Area

  • Community structure and biodiversity of benthic marine algae were studied in the rocky shore of Phohang New Port, Yeoungil Bay. A total of 79 species of marine algae including 8 Chlorophyta, 23 Phaeophyta and 48 Rhodophyta are listed. The dominant algal species were Corallina pilulifera in all seasons, and Sargassum homeri in winter. Lomentaria catenata, Lomentaria hakodatensis, Grateloupia laceolata, Sargassum thunbergii, Chondria crassicaulis, Ulva pertusa, and Hypnea charoides were subdominant at different seasons. The algal biomass per unit area of the benthic algal community in Pohang New Port under construction was 14506 - 398.93 g dry wt m-2, which means that its annually averaged value is 273.45 g dry wt m-2 . The seasonal change in algal biomass showed highs in winter and spring, and lows in summer and autumn. The algal species diversity (H') based on algal biomass was 2.07 annually in average, with 2.42 in winter, 2.65 in spring, 1.79 in summer and 1.43 in autumn. It was high in winter and spring seasons and low in summer and autumn seasons. It is caused by that spring and winter are the profitable growth time for algae and species components in this study were dominated by the annual or seasonal rather than perennial plants.

  • 항만 물류 시스템의 급속한 성장으로 인해 항만의 효율성을 증대하기 위한 자동화 크레인 시스템의 개발이 다양하게 진행 중이다. 자동화크레인은 통신 네트워크를 통하여 각종센서와 액츄에이터를 정밀 제어하게 되는데 이러한 시스템에 장착되는 네트워크 기반 스마트 모 듈은 센서 선호획득 및 필터링 기능, 데이터 연산 및 통신기능이 한 보드상에 구축되어 있어 고장이나 프로토콜이 지원이 다른 모듈을 사용할 경우 모듈 전체를 교체해야 되는 문제점이 발생하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 IEEE 1451 기반의 네트워크 독립적인 스마트 모듈을 제안하고 제안한 스마트 모듈의 성능을 평가하여 크레인 시스템에 적용 가능성을 확인하였다.

  • Fracture characteristics of plate shape using shock tube for glass filled ceramics was carried out. Glass filled ceramics have been considered as a promising candidate material for the dome port cover of air breathing engine. This part of the air breathing engine has an important role separating solid and liquid fuel, and needs the frangible characteristics that the fracture of a part should not affect the internal components of combustion. The objectives of this study are to evaluate the fracture pressures for various thicknesses and diameters of shock impact area. Also fracture phenomena of separated membrane using a shock tube are observed. The experimental apparatus of shock tube consists of a driver, a driven section and a dump tank. The used material is glass filled ceramic made from Corning company. Specimens are used 3, 4.5 and 6mm thickness. Also diameters of shock wave area are chosen 70, 60 and 50 mm. It is expected that the results obtained from this study can be used in the basic data for the dome port cover design of an air breathing engine.

  • The purpose of this study is that investigated the characteristics of integral planning related factors using the history and culture of Mojiko. It is a small city that has been urbanized after the opening of the port for logistics transportation in the modern period of Japan. As the function of the logistics city, which is the factor of the expansion of the town, declined, Mojiko applied the retro concept to the harbor which has lost its popularity due to the regional characteristics of the city to increase and revitalize local visits. Mojiko has steadily promoted the retro style of landscape and town development over 30 years, focusing on 18 Historical buildings and modern infrastructure. We analyzed characteristics of integrated urban planning include the regulation, landscape institution. Moreover, we suggest the result of the designation process of a core scenery maintenance district and the components of the plan after the designation analysis and provide essential data for revitalizing the field based on the historic city for the cultural establishment and beautiful town in the future. And deliver vital data to reviving the area based on the historical city culture establishment and beautiful town in the future.

Modified Wilkinson Power Divider for Multiple Harmonics Suppression

  • A new structure of the Wilkinson power divider that can suppress multiple harmonics output is presented The power divider consists of T-type or $\pi$-type capacitive loads and shunt resistors. Experimental results show that this power divider suppresses the second and the third harmonic components to less than -38dB, while maintaining the characteristics of a conventional Wilkinson power divider, featuring an equal power split, a simultaneous impedance matching at all ports and a good isolation between output ports.

Need for Accurate Initial Conditions to Simulate Flexible Structures in Motion

  • Flexible structures are often important components of mechanical assemblies in motion. A flexible structure sometimes must go through assembly steps that cause it to be in a pre-stressed condition when in the starting position for operation. A virtual prototype of the assembly must also bring the model of the flexible structure into the same pre-stressed condition in order to obtain accurate simulation results. This case study is presented regarding the simulation of a constant velocity joint, with a focus on the flexible boot. The case study demonstrates that careful definition of the initial conditions of the boot and flexible body contacts yields high-fidelity simulation results.

  • ROS is based on a graph architecture where processing takes place in nodes. Nodes communicate together by passing messages through topics based on the publish/subscribe model. On the other hand, OPRoS components know each other and are tightly-coupled via port connections, and different coupling schemes make the interoperation between two platforms difficult. This paper describes an extension of OPRoS framework to support the interoperation with the ROS topic.

A Study on Development of Expert System for Collision Avoidance and Navigation(I): Basic Design

  • As a method to reduce collision accidents of ships at sea, this paper suggests an expert system for collision avoidance and navigation (hereafter "ESCAN"). The ESCAN is designed and developed by using the theory and technology of expert system and based on the information provided by AIS and RADAR/ARPA system. In this paper the ESCAN is composed of four(4) components; Facts/Data Base in charge of preserving data from navigational equipment, Knowledge Base storing production rules of the ESCAN, Inference Engine deciding which rules are satisfied by facts or objects, User System Interface for communication between users and ESCAN. The ESCAN has the function of real--time analysis and judgment of various encountering situations between own ship and targets, and is to provide navigators with appropriate plans of collision avoidance and additional advice and recommendation This paper, as a basic study, is to introduce the basic design and function of ESCAN.

옥내용 에폭시 수지의 열화 특성 (Degradation Properties of Epoxy Resin Used in Indoor)

  • In this paper, study on the properties of the thermal degradated epoxy resin which is used in indoor insulation apparatus is performed to investigate the problems of the decreasing insulation characteristics and crack in the indoor insulation apparatus. As a parameter of variation, SEM, contact angle, surface resistivity, relative dielectric constant and weight loss are measured. As the results of the above measurements, the contact angle and surface resistivity of the epoxy resin has increased to 200$^{\circ}C$ in but at the above 200$^{\circ}C$ the values have decreased. The relative dielectric constants the thermal treated samples have increased on with the temperature increase. We find the volatile components of the epoxy resin compound has disappeared during thermal degradation by SEM. The insulation properties of the epoxy resin have increased by the 200$^{\circ}C$ but decreased in the above 200$^{\circ}C$.
