  • Premature ejaculation is the most common sexual dysfunction seen in the male, and it is found in 30 to 50% adult male population. It is defined as the inability to control the ejaculatory process for a sufficient length of time during intravaginal containment to satisfy his partner in at least fifty percent of his coital connections The majority of men with premature ejaculation have underlying psychologic origin of performance-anxiety type, but it is not always psychogenic and may also be a presenting symptom in certain organic disorders. In oriental medicine, the point of treatment of premature ejaculation is recovery of the good ejaculatory control, and the treatment can be approached in three ways as psychological therapy involving behavioral therapy, herb drugs, and acupuncture. This study has aims to investigate and summarize the current trend of treatment for premature ejaculation so as to suggest the effective and available way to treat the disease.

  • About one tenth of dwarf elliptical galaxies found in the Virgo cluster have a disk component, and some of them even possess substructures such as bars, lens, and spiral arms. We use N-body simulations to study the formation of these non-axisymmetric features in disky dwarf elliptical galaxies. By mimicking VCC 856, a bulgeless dwarf galaxy with embedded faint spiral arms, we construct 11 sets of initial conditions with slight dynamical variations based on observational data. Our standard model starts slowly to form a bar at ~3 Gyr and then undergoes buckling instability that temporarily weakens the bar although the bar strength continues to grow afterward. We find 9 of our models are unstable to bar formation and undergo buckling instability. This suggests that disky dwarf elliptical galaxies are intrinsically unstable to form bars, accounting for a population of barred dwarf galaxies in the outskirts of the Virgo cluster. To understand the origin of the faint grand-design spiral arms, we additionally construct 6 sets of models that undergo tidal interactions with their neighbors. We find that faint spiral arms consistent with observations develop when tidal forcing is relatively weak although strong encounter still results in bar formation. We discuss our results in light of the dynamical evolution of dwarf elliptical galaxies including mergers.

  • The presence of multiple populations is now well-established in most globular clusters (GCs) in the Milky Way. In light of this progress, here we suggest a new model explaining the origin of the Sandage period-shift and the difference in mean period of type ab RR Lyrae variables () between the two Oosterhoff groups. In our models, while matching the observed color-magnitude diagrams, the difference in is naturally reproduced as the instability strip is occupied by different subpopulations with increasing metallicity. The instability strip in the metal-poor group II clusters is populated by second generation stars (G2) with enhanced helium and CNO abundances, while the RR Lyraes in the metal-rich group I clusters are mostly produced by first generation stars (G1) without these enhancements. This population shift within the instability strip can create the observed period-shift between the two groups, since both helium and CNO abundances play a role in increasing the period of RR Lyrae variables. The presence of more metal-rich Oosterhoff group III clusters having RR Lyraes with longest can also be reproduced, if more helium-rich third generation stars (G3) are present in these GCs.

  • The genus Paeonia belongs to the family Paeoniaceae having significant medicinal and ornamental importance. The present investigation was undertaken with an aim to understand phylogenetic relationships of three Paeonia species (P. lactiflora, P. obovata, and P. suffruticosa) that are widely distributed in China, Korea, and Japan, using nuclear ribosomal DNA (nrDNA) internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequence and to compare the phylogeny results with investigations reported earlier using existed sequences of the same species. The size variation obtained among sequenced nrDNA ITS region was narrow and ranged from 722 to 726 bp. The highest interspecific genetic distance (GD) was found between P. lactiflora and P. suffruticosa or P. obovata. The phylogram obtained using our nrDNA ITS sequences showed non-congruence with previous hypothesis of the phylogeny between section Paeonia and section Moutan of genus Paeonia. This result was supported by the phylogenetic relations showed in the phylogram constructed with existed sequences in NCBI. The present study suggested that P. obovata belonging to section Paeonia was phylogenetically closer to P. suffruticosa representing section Moutan of genus Paeonia than P. lactiflora belonging to section Paeonia. The main reason of the paraphyly of section Paeonia is thought to be nucleotide additivity directly caused by origin hybridization. This study provides more sequence sources of genus Paeonia, and will help for further studies in intraspecies population, and their phylogentic analysis and molecular evolution.

  • The relationship between TMD and otologic symptoms such as tinnitus, vertigo and dizziness has been noted for many years. The existence of otologic symptoms in patients with TMD can be explained by the anatomic proximity and embryologic origin of the structures of the ear and the temporomandibular joint, however the pathogenesis of the symptoms is poorly understood. Serveral hypotheses have been proposed. : Eustachian tube hypothesis, the tensor tympani hypothesis, the otomandibular ligament hypothesis, excessive somatic concern hypothesis. Some investigators have reported that palpation of the deep masseter muscle, sternocleidomastoid muscle or clenching can intensify a patient's tinnitus and in that case, TMD therapy would improve their otologic symptoms. Although tinnitus and vertigo are common symptoms in the general population and also increase with increasing age, those are highly significantly associated with TMD compared with control group. This case report describes the possible mechanism and management of otologic symptoms in patient with TMD who has visited our clinic complaining asymmetric tinnitus and dull pain on her left masseter muscle.

  • The article is devoted to the study of the issue of liability for the dissemination of inaccurate information on the Internet. The article emphasizes that now the public opinion of socially active segments of the population is mainly formed on the basis of not critical but subjective ("consumer") analysis of the received information. The modern realities show that the main source of its origin is the Internet: electronic media and, above all, the relevant social networks. The problem of dissemination by the mass media of inaccurate information obtained via the Internet is solved; it is seen in bringing the laws of Ukraine, which regulate public relations regarding the dissemination of information, into compliance with the Civil Code of Ukraine. The issues of development and implementation of new legislative acts aimed at regulating the status of subjects of informational relations on the Internet and establishing the grounds for their liability are also investigated.

  • Various probabilistic methods have been proposed for using interpopulation allele frequency differences to infer the ethnic group of a DNA specimen. The selection of the statistical method is critical because the accuracy of the statistical classification results vary. For the ancestry classification, we proposed a new ancestry evaluation method that estimate the combined ethnicity index as well as compared its performance with various classical classification methods using two real data sets. We selected 13 SNPs that are useful for the inference of ethnic origin. These single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were analyzed by restriction fragment mass polymorphism assay and followed by classification among ethnic groups. We genotyped 400 individuals from four ethnic groups (100 African-American, 100 Caucasian, 100 Korean, and 100 Mexican-American) for 13 SNPs and allele frequencies that differed among the four ethnic groups. Additionally, we applied our new method to HapMap SNP genotypes for 1,011 samples from 4 populations (African, European, East Asian, and Central-South Asian). Our proposed method yielded the highest accuracy among statistical classification methods. Our ethnic group classification system based on the analysis of ancestry informative SNP markers can provide a useful statistical tool to identify ethnic groups.

  • We present multi-color, high-cadence photometric study of a distant SU UMa-type dwarf nova KSP-OT-201611a discovered by the Korea Microlensing Telescope Network (KMTNet) Supernova Program (KSP). From October 2016 to May 2017, two outbursts with an interval of approximately 90 days were detected in the BV I-bands. The shapes and amplitudes of the outbursts reveal the nature of KSP-OT-201611a to be a SU UMa-type dwarf nova of outside-in origin with a superhump and an inferred orbital period of 1.69 h. The two observed bursts show a distinctively different color evolutions during the bursts due most likely to the viscosity different in accretion disk between them. The observed quiescent magnitudes and properties of the source during the outbursts indicate that it is at a large distance (~7.3 kpc) and height (~1.7 kpc) from the Galactic disk, possibly belonging to the group of poorly-studied Population II dwarf novae. The continuous monitoring of this source may offer a rare opportunity to study a PopII dwarf nova.

  • Background and Objectives As the popularity of tattooing has increased, the number of people regretting their tattoos, and therefore seeking tattoo removal services has also increased. This study aimed to highlight the reasons for tattoo regrets. We explore herein, the reasons for seeking tattoo removal at a specialized laser center in South America. Materials and Methods This is a retrospective study of over 757 surveys, including patients who sought tattoo removal services between August 2017 and February 2020. The surveys were conducted using questionnaires which were sent to the patients through email and WhatsApp messages. Results Sixty percent of the patients seeking tattoo erasing services were women (α=0.001), an average of 30 years, with a high educational level (46.6% of them were university or tertiary). Most of the tattoos (89%) had a professional origin, 60% were done with black color and 65% were in exposed areas. More than half of the patients (51%) gave dissatisfaction as the main reason for erasing their tattoos. More than half of patients (51.2%) regretted their tattoos between the same day of being tattooed and five years later. Conclusion In the present study, in South America, tattoo regrets were mostly common among educated (university or tertiary level) women in their 30s. The most preferred color for a tattoo was black. Exposed areas, especially the arms, were preferred more than the covered areas. Most of the participants regretted their tattoos within five years of being tattooed.
