Static fatigue failure of the rotating optical disc (회전 중 원심력에 의한 광디스크의 피로 파손)

  • The base material of optical disc is the amorphous polymer, polycarbonate. So crack growth on the rotating optical disc could happen by the static centrifugal force. This phenomenon is called static fatigue. Today's CD-R disc drive is being operated over 10,000 RPM. This is increasing the possibility of the disc fracture when operating. In this reason, new method to measure the static fatigue threshold quality and the way to calculate the threshold J-integral value and the safe crack length of the optical disc are studied. Finally the environmental effect to optical disc is also studied in this paper.

A Study on the Segregation Reduction of Self-Leveling Color Mortar by Using Variable Composition Set of Plasticizer and Thickener (유동화제와 증점제의 조성비가 자기수평 칼라 모르타르의 재료분리저감에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • We study on the segregation reduction effect of Self-Leveling Color Mortar by using variable composition set of plasticizer and thickener, Naphthalene, melamine and polycarbonate-based dispersants were employed as plasticizers for examining on fluidity of mortar mixtures. For enhancement of mortar stability without loss of it's fluidity, two types of thickener were used such as polysaccharide(PS) and hydroxyethylcellulose(HEC). As a result, the most effective mortar was composed by feeding 0.519% of polycarbonate-based dispersant with 0.002587% of PS and 0.155844% of HEC on amount of basic mortar.

A study on the preparation of phthalocyanine optoelectric thin films (프탈로시아닌계 광전도성 유기박막의 제조에 관한 연구)

  • A double layered photoreceptor using phthalocyanine dye was made by dip-coating method. The under cutting layer(UCL) was coated with A1$\_$2/O$\_$3/ or polyamide, and the charge generation layer(CGL) was formed by .tau.-type metal-free phthalocyanine. The oxadiazole was used as a charge transport layer(CTL) and polycarbonate and poly(vinyl butyral) was employed as a host polymer. The .tau.-H$\_$2/Pc had an absorption peak around 780nm, which coincided with the emitting wavelengths of GaAlAs diode lasers. Maximum charge acceptance of CTL that gives thickness of 12.mu.m was -900V by corona charge of -6.0kV. In photo-induced discharge measurements, residual potential was less than -20V and sufficient for ordinary use, and sample films using of poly(vinyl butyral) was showed good charge retention. In printing test, drum that was employed polycarbonate as a host polymer showed the good print quality.

Al2O3 Coating on Transparent Polycarbonate Substrates for the Hard-coating Application (투명 폴리카보네이트 보호코팅을 위한 산화알루미늄 박막)

  • Transparent aluminum oxide films were deposited on polycarbonate (PC) substrates by inductively coupled plasma (ICP) assisted reactive sputtering. the oxygen flow rate was regulated by controlling the target voltage with a proportional integrate derivative controller. The PC substrate was treated with plasma prior to the deposition in order to the enhance the adhesive strength of the $Al_2O_3$ film. The characteristics of hardness, structure, density, transmittance, deposition rate, surface roughness and residual stress were investigated to estimate the possibility for the hard coating.
