A Neutral-Point Voltage Balance Controller for the Equivalent SVPWM Strategy of NPC Three-Level Inverters

  • Based on the space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) theory, this paper realizes an easier SVPWM strategy, which is equivalently implemented by CBSPWM with zero-sequence voltage injection. The traditional SVPWM strategy has no effect on controlling the neutral-point voltage balance. In order to solve the neutral-point voltage unbalance problem for neutral-point-clamped (NPC) three-level inverters, this paper proposes a neutral-point voltage balance controller. The proposed controller realizes controlling the neutral-point voltage balance by dynamically calculating the offset superimposed to the three-phase modulation waves of an equivalent SVPWM strategy. Compared with the traditional SVPWM strategy, the proposed neutral-point voltage balance controller has a strong ability to balance the neutral-point voltage, has good steady-state performance, improves the output waveforms quality and is easy for digital implementation. An experiment has been carried out on a NPC three-level inverter prototype based on a digital signal processor-complex programmable logic device (DSP-CPLD). The obtained experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed neutral-point voltage balance controller.

ICP 계산속도 향상을 위한 빠른 Correspondence 매칭 방법 (A Fast Correspondence Matching for Iterative Closest Point Algorithm)

  • This paper considers a method of fast correspondence matching for iterative closest point (ICP) algorithm. In robotics, the ICP algorithm and its variants have been widely used for pose estimation by finding the translation and rotation that best align two point clouds. In computational perspectives, the main difficulty is to find the correspondence point on the reference point cloud to each observed point. Jump-table-based correspondence matching is one of the methods for reducing computation time. This paper proposes a method that corrects errors in an existing jump-table-based correspondence matching algorithm. The criterion activating the use of jump-table is modified so that the correspondence matching can be applied to the situations, such as point-cloud registration problems with highly curved surfaces, for which the existing correspondence-matching method is non-applicable. For demonstration, both hardware and simulation experiments are performed. In a hardware experiment using Hokuyo-10LX LiDAR sensor, our new algorithm shows 100% correspondence matching accuracy and 88% decrease in computation time. Using the F1TENTH simulator, the proposed algorithm is tested for an autonomous driving scenario with 2D range-bearing point cloud data and also shows 100% correspondence matching accuracy.

An ATM Network Management System for Point-to-Multipoint Reservation Service

  • This paper describes an integrated network management framework for providing point-to-multipoint reservation service (PMRS) in an ATM network. There are two major issues confronting the network service provider in relation to this service: one is to rapidly confirm the acceptability of the subscriber's reservation at subscription time, and the other is to punctually activate the reserved point-to-multipoint service. To meet these requirements, we developed a service provision model (SPM) and a network resource model of a bandwidth allocation timetable (BATT). We propose a point-to-multipoint routing algorithm composed of ordering and backtracking procedures, which can find the best branch point under the complex network topology and can add more destinations to the existing point-to-multipoint route. We demonstrate the feasibility of the SPM, the BATT, and the point-to-multipoint routing algorithm by implementing our schemes and analyzing their performance under the operational ATM network of KT(Korea Telecom).

벼의 생물체(生物體) 강복강도(降伏强度) 및 극한강도(極限强度) (Bioyield Strength and Ultimate Strength of Rough Rice)

  • Rough rice is subjected to a series of static and dynamic forces during mechanical harvesting, handling and processing operations. The mechanical properties such as bioyield point, compressive strength, and deformations at the bioyield point and rupture point are important engineering data needed to develop processing machines and to determine reasonable operating conditions for these machines. The objectives of this study were to determine the mechanical properties of the rough rice kernel at loading rate of 0.664 mm/min and 1.673 mm/min and at various moisture contents, and to examine the effect of the moisture content and the loading rate on these mechanical properties. The follwing results were obtained from the study. 1. Bioyield point, rupture point, bioyield strength and ultimate strength of the rough rice kernel generally decreased in magnitude with an increase in moisture content. A little larger values of these mechanical properties were obtained at the higher loading rate. The rough rice variety and the loading rate affected significantly these mechanical properties at low moisture content, but not at the higher moisture levels. 2. Bioyield point of the sample grains varied from 20 to 80 N, and rupture point varied from 45 to 130N. Bioyield point for Japonica-type rough rice was a little higher than that for Indica-type rough rice, but there were little differnces in rupture point between two types of rough rice. 3. Bioyield strength and ultimate strength of the Japonica-type rough rice varied from 10 MPa. to 39 MPa., and from 13 MPa. to 45 MPa. respectively. Those of the Indica-type rough rice varied from 12 MPa. to 42 MPa., and from 15 MPa. to 53 MPa. respectively. 4. Deformations at bioyield point and rupture point ranged from 0.18 mm/min to 0.26 mm, and from 0.28 mm to 0.53 mm respectively. These deformations decreased with an increase in moisture content up to moisture content of approximately 17% (w.b.) and increased again thereafter. 5. Regression equations were developed to predict these mechanical properties for the rough rice kernel as a function of moisture content.

Template-Based Reconstruction of Surface Mesh Animation from Point Cloud Animation

  • In this paper, we present a method for reconstructing a surface mesh animation sequence from point cloud animation data. We mainly focus on the articulated body of a subject - the motion of which can be roughly described by its internal skeletal structure. The point cloud data is assumed to be captured independently without any inter-frame correspondence information. Using a template model that resembles the given subject, our basic idea for reconstructing the mesh animation is to deform the template model to fit to the point cloud (on a frame-by-frame basis) while maintaining inter-frame coherence. We first estimate the skeletal motion from the point cloud data. After applying the skeletal motion to the template surface, we refine it to fit to the point cloud data. We demonstrate the viability of the method by applying it to reconstruct a fast dancing motion.

자연형 도로 비점오염저감시설의 저감효율 및 적용성 연구 (A Study on Removal Efficiency and Applicability of Natural Type Road Non-point Pollutant Reduction Facilities)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to assess removal efficiency of non-point pollutants and applicability for non-point pollutant reduction facilities by conducting the demonstration project operation. METHODS : In order to analyze removal efficiency of non-point pollutants for facilities such as a grassed swale, a small constructed wetland, a free water surface wetland, a horizontal sub-surface flow wetland, and a sand filtration, the field data including specifications of facilities, rainfall, inflow and runoff rainfall effluent etc. was acquired after occurring rainfall events, and the acquired data was analyzed for removal efficiency rate to assess road non-point pollutants facilities using event mean concentration (EMC) and summation of load (SOL) methods. RESULTS : The results of analyzing rainfall effluent, non-point pollutant sources showed that total suspended solid (TSS), chemical oxygen demand (COD), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), total nitrogen (TN), total phosphorus (TP), chrome (Cr), zinc (Zn), and lead (Pb) can be removed through non-point pollutant reduction facilities by 60.3% ~ 100%. Especially removal efficiency of TSS, COD and BOD is relatively higher than removal efficiency of other non-point pollutant sources in all kind of non-point pollutant facilities. CONCLUSIONS : Based on the result of this study, even though natural type of non-point pollutant reduction facilities for roads occupy small areas comparing with drainage basin areas, most of non-point pollutant sources would be removed through the facilities.

  • Poly(ethylene-co-13.8 mol% octene) ($PEO_{13.8}$), Poly(ethylene-co-15.3 mol% octene) ($PEO_{15.3}$)과 분자크기와 분자구조가 각각 다른 탄화수소의 2성분계 혼합물에 대한 cloud-point, bubble-point 압력을 $150^{\circ}C$, 450 bar까지 측정하였다. (PEO+n-프로판), (PEO+n-부탄) 2성분계 혼합물에서 cloud-point 곡선이 측정되었고, (PEO+n-펜탄) 혼합물에서는 cloud-point와 bubble-point 곡선이 모두 측정되었다. (PEO+시클로펜탄), (PEO+시클로헥산), (PEO+시클로 헵탄), (PEO+시클로옥탄) 2성분계 혼합물에서는 bubble-point 곡선이 측정되었다. (PEO+탄화수소) 2성분계의 압력-조성 등온곡선과 온도-조성 등압곡선은 PEO의 농도가 약 5 wt%일 때 각각 최고점과 최저점을 가졌다. (PEO+탄화수소) 2성분계는 PEO 농도가 5 wt%에서 임계조성을 가진다. PEO는 n-알칸과 시클로알칸 용매에서 LCST 유형의 상거동을 보여주며, 탄화수소의 분자크기가 증가할수록 PEO의 녹는 압력은 감소하였고 용해도는 증가하였다.

  • 디지털 카메라와 휴대폰 카메라의 발달로 인해 이미지를 기반으로 3차원 물체를 복원하는 기술이 크게 발전했다. 하지만 Structure-from-Motion(SfM)과 Multi-view Stereo(MVS)를 이용한 결과인 dense point cloud에는 여전히 듬성한 영역이 존재한다. 이는 깊이 정보를 추정하는데 있는 어려움과, 깊이 지도를 point cloud로 fusing할 때 이웃 영상과의 깊이 정보가 불일치할 경우 깊이 정보를 삭제하고 point를 생성하지 않았기 때문이다. 본 논문에선 평면을 모델링하여 삭제된 깊이 정보에 새로운 깊이 정보를 부여하고 point를 생성하여 기존 결과보다 dense한 point cloud를 생성하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 실험 결과를 통해 제안하는 알고리즘이 효과적으로 기존의 방법보다 dense한 point cloud를 생성함을 확인할 수 있다.

포인트 클라우드 콘텐츠 해상도 향상을 위한 점진적 렌더링 방법 (A Progressive Rendering Method to Enhance the Resolution of Point Cloud Contents)

  • 포인트 클라우드 콘텐츠는 3차원 포인트로 실제 객체를 나타내는 몰입형 콘텐츠이다. 포인트 클라우드 데이터를 획득하거나 포인트 클라우드 데이터를 인코딩 및 디코딩하는 과정에서 포인트 클라우드 콘텐츠의 해상도가 저하될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 프레임 간 정합을 통해 순차적으로 포인트 클라우드 콘텐츠의 해상도를 점진적으로 향상시키는 방법을 제안한다. 포인트 클라우드 데이터를 정합하기 위해 ICP(Iterative Closest Point) 알고리즘이 일반적으로 사용된다. 기존 ICP 알고리즘은 강체를 변환할 수 있지만 포인트 클라우드 콘텐츠와 같이 로컬에서 서로 다른 방향으로 모션 벡터를 갖는 비 강체에 대해서는 변환이 불가능하다는 단점이 있다. 현재 프레임의 포인트 클라우드와 이전 프레임 사이의 포인트를 쌍을 만들고 만들어진 쌍의 움직임양을 계산하여 보상해주는 방법으로 기존 ICP 정합에서의 한계를 극복하였다. 이러한 방식으로 프레임 사이에 포인트를 정합하는 과정을 통해 기하학적 움직임이 있는 포인트 클라우드 콘텐츠의 해상도가 향상됨을 보였다.

격자지보재(Lattice Girder)의 실내성능평가기법 개발 (Development of a laboratory testing method for evaluating the loading capability of lattice girder)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국내터널현장에서 강지보재로 주로 사용되어지고 격자지보재(Lattice Gilder)의 공학적인 성능을 보다 객관적으로 판단하기 위한 실내성능평가기법의 제안에 있다. 본 연구를 위하여 국내에서 격자지보재로 주로 사용되는 $LG-50{\times}20{\times}30$, $LG-70{\times}20{\times}30$, 및 $LG-95{\times}22{\times}32$를 사용하여 3-point 휨강도 실험 및 4-point 휨강도 실험을 수행하였다. 또한, 하중재하위치에 따른 격자지보재의 하중-변위거동을 분석하기 위하여 각각의 실험방법에서 두 가지 하중재하방식을 사용하여 실험을 수행하였다. 각 부재에 스트레인 게이지를 부착하여 각각의 실험방법에 따라 각 부재에 작용하는 하중분포를 분석하였다. 3-point 휨강도 실험에 적용한 두 가지 하중재하방식으로 측정된 평균 최대하중은 $10%{\sim}33%$까지 차이가 나타났으며, 4-point 휨강도 실험에 적용한 두 가지 하중재하방식에 의해 측정된 평균 최대하중은 거의 차이가 없었다. 4-point 휨강도 실험의 평균 최대하중은 3-point 휨강도 실험보다 $13.56%{\sim}31.55%$와 정도 크게 나타났다. 3-point 휨강도 실험은 주강봉에 주로 하중이 집중되는 반면 4-point 휨강도 실험은 각 부재로 비교적 골고루 하중이 작용하는 것으로 나타났다.
