A methodology which supports the feature used from design to manufacturing for sculptured pocket is newly devlored and present. The information contents in a feature can be easily conveyed from one application to another in the manufacturing domain. However, the feature generated in one application may not be directly suitable for another whitout being modified with more information. Theobjective of the paper is to parsent the methodology of decomposing a bulky feature of sculptured pocket to be removed into compact features to be efficiently machined. In particular, the paper focuses on the two task: 1) to segment horizontally a bulky feature into intermediate features by determining the adequate depth of cut and cutter size and to generate the temporal precedence graph of the intermediate features and 2)to further decompose each intermediate feature vertical into smaller manufacturing features and to apply the variable feed rate to each small feature. The proposed method will provid better efficiency in machining time and cost than the classical method which uses a long string of NC codes necessary to remove a bulky fecture.

Recently, there has been an active study about friction force of moving parts for automotive. This study is development and evaluation of oil pockets for journal bearing and tappet valve for range extended electric vehicle. Specially, oil pockets are effect on friction force depend on pitch, size, depth. In this study, fine oil pocket was formed using by etched texturing on the journal bearing and tappet valve. And oil pocket analyzed by SEM and friction force test was carried out by tensile tester. Finally, in this study, it was suggested by round and plane part which journal besring and tappet valve.
In this study, we developed an application that can efficiently store and manage food ingredients in refrigerators. Rather than purchasing a new smart refrigerator, a small 'pocket scanner' is inserted inside the refrigerator using an existing refrigerator to track the location of food entering and leaving the refrigerator to efficiently organize the refrigerator and save time searching for ingredients. In addition, since it can automatically record the distribution period and purchase date, it notifies users through an alarm when the distribution period expires or is shortly left. As for the research method, after discovering the needs of users through in-depth interviews, the reactions of users were investigated by adding functions that fit those needs. Users felt satisfied with managing food efficiently through the 'pocket scanner' attached to the refrigerator and answered that it was very economical because various smart functions could be used without changing to a smart refrigerator. In the next study, we will also examine the usability of the application through usability evaluation.
The purpose of this study was to assess the recolonization of the subgingival microflora following scaling and root planing on single and multiroot teeth with periodontal pockets which were above 5mm. 7 patients with deep pockets were selected for this study. They had not taken antibiotics for 6 months and no history of dental treatment for 6 months before the study. After initial clinical(plaque index, gingival index, probing pocket depth), microbiological and BANA test were determined, each subject received a single session of scaling and root planing, but they were not received oral hygiene instructions. Clinical indices, microbial parameters and BANA test were reassessed 1, 2, and 4 weeks after treatment. The results were as follows : 1. Plaue index, gingival index and pocket depth were not significantly when compared single root group with multiroot group, both groups were siginficantly reduced at 2weeks in plaque index and 2, 4 weeks in gingival index(P<0.05), probing pocket depth was siginificantly changed at 2, 4weeks in multiroot teeth group and 4 weeks in single root teeth group(P<0.05). 2. Percentage of cocci was significantly increased at 4weeks in single root teeth group(P<0.05), motile rod was significantly changed at 4weeks in both group(P<0.05), spirochetes and nonmotile rods were not significantly changed. 3. BANA test was significantly reduced at 1 and 2 weeks (P<0.05) in single root teeth group, multiroot teeth group was not significantly all weeks. This results were suggested that clinical and microbiological effect following scaling and root planing on periodontal disease.
The purpose of this study was to assess the clinical and microbiological effect of chlorhexidine rinse following scaling and root planing on periodontits. 10 patients with periodontal disease were selected for the study. They had not taken antibiotics for months and no history of dental treatment for 6 months before the study. They were good in general health. Patients received a scaling and root planing under local infiltration anesthesia, chlorhexidine rise group were subjected to twice a day 0.1% chlorhexidine rinse for a period 2 week. After initial clinical(plaque index, gingival index, probing pocket depth), microbiological and BANA tests were determined, each subject received a single session of scaling and root planing but no oral hygiene instructions. Clinical indices were measured, microbial parameters and BANA test were reassessed 1, 2 and 4 weeks after treatment. The results were as follows : 1. Plaque index, gingival index and pocket depth in chlorhexidine rinse group and control group were not significantly reduce during all weeks when compared chlorhexidine rinse group with control groups. Plaque index in chlorhexidine rinse group and control group were siginificantly reduced at 1, 2, 4weeks(P<0.05), gingival index and pocket depth wee ignificantly reduced at 2, 4weeks in both groups(P<0.05). 2. Perecntage of cocci and motile rods was significantly changed at 1, 2, 4weeks in chlorhexidine rinse group(P<0.05), control group was significantly changed at 4weeks in control group(P<0.05), intergroup difference was significantly at 2weeks in cocci and 4weeks in motile rods(P<0.05). 3. Percentage of non-motile rods in all group were not significantly changed when compared with those of baseline. 4. Percentage of spirochetes was significantly reduced at 4 week(P<0.05), control group was not significantly reduced during all weeks. 5. BANA test scores was significantly reduced during all weeks in chlorhexidine rinse group(P<0.05), control group was not significantly reduced during all weeks. The result showed that clinical and microbiological effect following scaling, root palning and chlorhexidine on periodontal disease.
Various alloplastic materials have been used on the periodontally diseased ossous defects. Hydroxyapatite, which is used the most common alloplastic material is a non-resorbable form of calcium phosphate and natural coral which is a biodegradable by carbonic anhydrase in osteoclast was introduced recently. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the clinical effects of porous hydoxyapatite and natural coral on the human periodontal defects. Four males and three females who had adult periodontitis were selected for this study. The teeth that had similar bone loss radiographically and periodontal pocket deeper than 5mm were selected. Gingival recession, pocket depth, plaque index(Silness & Loe), sulcus bleeding index and tooth mobility (measured by Periotest$^{(r)}$) were examined before graft. Before insertion of alloplastic materials, the depth from CEJ to bone crest and from CEJ to base of the osseous defect was recorded. Porous particulate hydroxyapatite(Interpore 200$^{(r)}$, A group) was place on the defect and natural coral(Biocoral$^{(r)}$, B group) was placed on the defect of the opposing tooth. Six months post-surgically the same parameters were recorded by reentry procedures. A and B group showed 0.6mm of mean recession. Mean reduction of pocket depth were 5mm for A group and 4.9mm of B group. Reduced SBI and tooth mobility were recorded. Osseous defect fills of the original defects were 2.9mm for A and 3mm for B group. Percentage defect fills were 71% for A and 59% for B group. The difference of defect fill between pre- and post-insertion was statstically significant(p<0.05). But the difference between the two groups was not significant statistically(p<0.05). The clinical impression at 6 month re-entry and the numerical date indicate that natural coral as well as porous particulate hydoxyapatite has a definite potential as an alloplastic implant in the treatment of periodontal osseous defects.
Histological studies indicate a tetracycline HCl similar to citric acid to induce connetive tissue repair in animals. When tetracycline HCl was used as a root conditioning agent in humans, there was a trend toward more connective tissue attachment than in root planing alone. The purpose of this study was to evaluate clinical effect of tetracycline HCl in the treatment of gingival recession. 44 teeth in 12 patients with bilaterally gingival recession & Miller classification I, II gingival recession were selected and 22 teeth were treated with 125mg/ml tetracycline HCl , the others was not treated with tetracycline HCl. Gingival recession, pocket depth, clinical attachment level, width of keratinized gingiva were observed at baseline, postoperative 4, 12, 20weeks. Both groups were statistically analyzed by Wilcoxon signed Ranks Test & Wilcoxon's rank sum test(Mann-whitney test) using SPSS program.(5% significance level) The results were as follows: 1........The change of gingival recession, clinical attachment level, keratinized gingiva in both groups were increased significantly at 4, 12, 20 weeks. 2.......The pocket depth exhibited no marked changes throughout the entire investigation in both groups. 3........The change of gingival recession in tetracycline group was increased significantly than control group at 4, 12, 20 weeks and the percentage of root coverage was 93% in tetracycline group and 83% in control group. 4........The change of clinical attachment level, pocket depth, keratinized tissue from baseline to 4, 12, 20 weeks was not differ significanltly in both group.
This study was conducted to examine the relations of oral health relevance to disabilities according to the relationship types between them and their guardian. The guardians were surveyed using self-writing questionnaires regarding the cohesion and communication process, and the oral health of disabled was analyzed by evaluation table. Total 78 copies were analyzed. SPSS win. 24.0 statistical program was used and the significance level was verified at .05. There was significance in the communication process(p<.01) according to the type of relationship with the disabled and their guardians. In oral health of the disabled according to the type of relationship with their guardians, there was significance in DMFT index(p<.01), first molar soundness(p<.01) and Pocket depth(p<.01).Therefore, the mother had a positive effect for the disabled on most items such as cohesion, communication process, and oral health. However, it is expected that policy support and research to increase the interests in oral health care management are needed for personal assistants, who showed a low impact on the cohesion, and communication process with disabled persons, and spouses, who showed a low influence on oral health of persons with disabilities.

Extracellular matrix(ECM) is known to function as a reservoir of endogenous growth factors, can be an effective delivery system of growth factor that easily lost bioactivity in solution. Fibrillar collagens like type I collagen, are the major constituent of the ECM and structural protein of bone. Also, it can be a scaffold for osteoblast migration. The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of absorbable Atelo-collagen Sponge($Teruplug^{(R)}$) insertion in tooth extraction sites on periodontal healing of the mandibular second molar after the extraction of the impacted third molar. The study population comprised 31 cases who had been scheduled for surgical removal of impacted mandibular third molars. All patients were in good general health and were not using any medication that would influence wound healing after surgery. In 15 cases control group, none was inserted into the tooth extraction site. In 16 cases experimental groups, $Teruplug^{(R)}$ was inserted into the tooth extraction site. We evaluated tooth mobility, pocket depth, gingival margin level preoperatively and 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and 3 months postoperatively. The change was compared with two groups using Mann-Whitney test. The results were as follows. 1. There was no significant change of tooth mobility on both groups. 2. There was tendency of decreasing of previous pocket depth causing tooth extraction on both groups. 3. On gingival margin level, there was various change according to initial swelling and loss of attachment on both groups. 4. There was tendency of decreasing of gingival margin level on both groups because of removal of inflammation and decreasing of previous pocket depth. 5. There was large change of pocket depth on buccal middle, distal, lingual distal area because of tooth extraction and bone reduction. Compared with the control group and experimental group, we observed significant difference during some periods. The results of this study suggest that absorbable atelo-collagen sponge($Teruplug^{(R)}$) is relatively favorable bone void filler with prevention of tissue collapse, food packing and enhance periodontal healing.
Periodontal regeneration refers to the restoration of bone, cementum and periodontal ligament to their original levels before damage from periodontal disease process. Various surgical techniques to the promotion of periodontal regeneration have been used. Bone graft and guided tissue regeneration have used for the regeneration of furcation involvements which caused by periodontal disease. Fibrin adhesive is agents that have been shown to be effective in periodontal regeneration and biological carrier. Calcium sulfate which is one of the resorbable barrier materials has used for guided tissue regeneration. The purpose of this study was to compare the clinical effects between bone graft using fibrin adhesive and calcium sulfate barrier in the mandibular class II furcation involvement. For the study, twenty-six class II furcation involved teeth were surgically treated. 13 furcation defects(test group) were treated with bonegraft and fibrin adhesive and the others(control group) were treated with bone graft and calcium sulfate barrier. Pocket depth, clinical attachment level and gingival recession were measured at baseline, postoperative 3 and 6 months. The results of the study are as follows: 1. The change of pocket depth and clinical attachment level in both groups was decreased significantly at 3, 6 months than at baseline(p<0.05). 2. The change of gingival recession in both groups was increased significantly at 3, 6 months than at baseline(p<0.05). 3. The change of pocket depth and clinical attachment level in both groups was decreased at 3, 6 months, and the change of gingival recession in both groups was increased at 3, 6 months but there were no statistically or clinically significant differences with both groups. 4. The significant reduction of the pocket depth and clinical attachment level exhibited marked changes at 3 months in both groups. In conclusion, the results of this study suggest that there are no statistically or clinically significant differences between fibrin adhesive and calcium sulfate barrier in the treatment of class II furcations using xenograft.
