인발 방법에 따른 황동관의 변형 해석 (Analysis of Deformation of Brass Tube Drawn By Various Methods)

  • The general equation of homogeneous strin for tube drawing has been derived. This can be applied to the general tube drawing method for non-zero plug angle. Also, the derived equation can represent Blazynski's equations for the sinking and tube drawing with a constant plug diameter. The general tube drawing was divided into two steps, sinking and contact drawing zones. The derived equation can calculate the homogeneous strains of the two steps. The various tube drawing methods such as fixed tapered plug, fixed mandrel, fixed back tapered plug, and floating plug have been analysed by the equation and finite element analysis. From the FEM calculations, the total strains and drawing stresses are obtained and consequently the redundancy factor of various drawing methods was analysed. The fixed back tapered plug method showed the largest redundancy factor and the floating plug method had the largest drawing stress.

팁페이파, 필터권지 및 접착제 특성이 제품담배 공기희석율에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Characteristics of Tipping Paper, Plug Wrap and Glue on the Cigarette Ventilation)

  • The ventilation rate of a ventilated filter cigarette depends on the details of its construction and on the properties of its components such as tobacco column pressure drop, filter pressure drop, tipping paper and plug wrap permeability, and vent position. Also, It was affected by the condition of adhesion of glue between tipping paper and plug wrap. This study was carried out to find the effect of surface properties of tipping paper and plug wrap, and a characteristics of glue on the ventilation rate of cigarettes. Our results indicated that the surface properties of tipping paper and plug wrap affected on the ventilation rate of cigarette. Also, the variation of ventilation rate was affected by the surface properties of tipping paper and the size of glue particles. We also found that the surface properties of tipping paper and plug wrap, and the emersion size of glue were the major factors to concern in the design for materials of cigarettes.

심리스 튜브 제조공정 시 피어싱 플러그의 파손거동 (Failure Behavior of Piercing Plug during Seamless Tube Manufacturing Process)

  • In this study, failure behavior of piercing plug for seamless tube manufacturing process was studied. Three different kinds of passed piercing plugs (10, 90, 215 times) were prepared. The shape deformation of the passed piercing plugs was observed by 3D coordinate measuring machine, and the oxidized layer on the surface of piercing plug was observed by optical microscopy. The length reduction of piercing plug presented at 215 times passed plug. It was found that the oxidized layer consisted of outer scale, inner scale and internal oxidation layers, and the inner scale layer had vertical cracks, and interfaces had horizontal cracks. We proposed the failure mechanism of piercing plug during seamless tube manufacturing process based on the formation of vertical and horizontal crack.

304 스테인리스강의 Plug 용접성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Plug Weldability of 304 Stainless Steel)

  • In this study, the plug weldability of STS 304 was investigated. The parameters which influence plug weldability were pushing pressure of the plates, position of welding wire and composition of shielding gases. Among these factors, the composition of shielding gases and hole diameter of the upper plate were found to be the major factors influencing weld quality. To evaluate weldability, tensile shear strength of the plug welded specimen was measured and compared with tensile strength of butt welded specimen. Hardness was measured for both plug weld and butt weld. The microstructure of the weld metal and HAZ were also characterized.

발사체의 배꼽 플러그 분리 안정성 연구 (A Study on Separation Stability of The Umbilical Plug of A Store)

  • When a store is launched, the umbilical plug should be separated from the launcher without any physical interference and fragments. In order to satisfy these conditions, an umbilical plug and an umbilical separating device were designed. The plug is separated from the receptacle of the store while moving along inclined planes by the store thrust and the spring force connected from the launcher to the plug. As a result of the prototype test, the hanger on the store collided with the plug. Several tests were conducted after some actions were taken to prevent the collision. However, not only the same phenomenon was repeated, but also fragmentation occurred. In this study, the non-colliding conditions were analyzed through rigid and flexible multi-body dynamics analysis.

  • A stronger result than that of Park and Marron (1994) is proved here on the asymptotic distribution of the plug-in bandwidth selector. The new result is that the plug-in bandwidth selector may have the rate of convergence ($n^{-4/13}$ with less smoothness conditions on the unknown density functions than as described in Park and Marron's paper. Together with this, a class of various plug-in bandwidth selectors are considered and their asymptotic distributions are given. Finally, some ideas of possible improvements on those plug-in bandwidth selectors are provided.

기류속도가 인공광하에서 공정육묘 개체군의 미기상에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Air Current Speed on the Microclimates of the Plug Stand under Artificial Light)

  • 김등과 Kim등이 재발한 공정묘 생산용 풍동을 사용하여, 인공광하의 묘개체군내외에서 기온, 상대습도 및 포차(vapour pressure deficit) 등의 미기상 특성에 미치는 기류속도의 효과를 분석하였다. 기온차의 최고치가 초장 근처에서 나타났으며, 이러한 결과는 공정묘의 생육이 진행될수록 더욱 분명하게 나타났다. 묘개체군 내부에서는 배지 또는 엽으로부터의 증발산으로 인하여 개체군 외부에서의 기온에 비해서 0.7-l.4$^{\circ}C$ 정도 낮게 나타났는데, 기류속도가 낮을수록 기온차가 높게 나타났다. 묘개체군 내부의 상대습도 분포에 미치는 기류속도의 영향이 매우 큰 것으로 나타났다. 기류속도가 증가할수록 묘개체군 내외에서의 상대습도차는 작게 나타났는데, 이것은 기류속도의 증가에 따라 엽에서의 water potential이 감소되었기 때문인 것으로 판단된다. 배지표면으로부터의 높이가 증가함에 따라 포차가 증가하였다. 이와 같은 결과는 수증기 유속의 흐름이 상방향으로 이루어짐을 의미하는 것이다. 생육단계에 따른 포차의 변화는 엽면적 지수가 클수록 수직방향으로의 기울기가 크게 나타났다. 한편, 후부에서의 상대습도 및 포차는 중앙부에서 보다 약간 낮게 나타났다. 기류속도에 따라 묘개체군의 수직방향 및 기류진행방향으로 기온, 상대습도 및 포차의 기울기가 크게 나타났는데, 이러한 미기상 요소의 기울기는 묘개체군의 불균일 생장을 초래할 수 있다.

예연소실을 갖는 점화플러그의 연소 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Combustion Characteristics of Spark Plug with Pre-ignition Chamber)

  • The new concept spark plug was developed to study its influence on the combustion characteristics of SI engine. It has pre-ignition chamber in the lower end of spark plug and flame hole, in which fresh mixture gas can be introduced without any fuel supply system. This spark plug was tested with a commercial SI engine. Fuel consumption rate, emission gas and MBT timing were measured in the engine dynamometer for various flame hole numbers, hole positions, hole sizes of the pre-ignition chamber of the spark plug. And average flame propagation speed was measured by using the head gasket ionization probe in single cylinder engine. The new concept spark plug induces fast bum in combustion compared with the conventional spark plug, and MBT(Minimum advance for Best Torque) timing was retarded about $3{\sim}5^{\circ}$ crank angle. The flame hole number, hole direction and volume of pre-ignition chamber were found to influence the combustion characteristics.

무배전기식 불꽃 점화 시스템의 점화 플러그 케이블에서 발생되는 전자파의 분석 (Analysis of Electromagnetic Wave for Spark Plug Cable in Distributorless Spark Ignition System)

  • 무배전기식 불꽃 점화 시스템의 스파크 플러그 케이블에서 발생되는 전자파에 대한 분석이다. 무배전기식 불꽃 점화 시스템인 경우에는 점화코일이 고주파 발생원이고 스파크 플러그 케이블과 스파크 플러그는 전자파를 복사하는 안테나로 동작 할 수 있다. 스파크플러그 케이블과 스파크 플러그의 길이를 측정하여 ${\lambda}/4$ 수직 접지 안테나로 동작하는 안테나로 고려하여 HFSS를 이용하여 공진주파수를 계산하였다. 계산된 공진주파수와 엔진룸에서 복사되는 전자파의 전력 스펙트럼 분포를 측정한 결과를 분석하여 무배전기식 불꽂 점화 시스템이 특정한 주파수 대역에서 고주파 에너지를 복사한다는 것을 알 수 있다.

자동차 차체 패널의 점용접 및 플러그용접 특성에 대한 실험적 분석 (Experimental Study on Spot Weld and Plug Weld of Automotive Body Panel)

  • This paper presents a comparison of an experimental study on spot and plug welding of an automotive body panel. Spot welding is a common joining technology used in automotive body panel assembly. In automotive body repair, however, plug welding is widely used due to its technical simplicity and cost benefit. Some researchers have focused on the use of spot welding in the manufacturing process, but there has been very little research done with respect to the engineering analysis of the plug welding process. In this study, two kinds of specimens are considered to compare the difference of failure strength between spot weld and plug weld: normal tension and shear tension. The experimental results show, in both normal tension and shear tension, that spot welding has higher failure strength than plug welding. In addition, plug welding is more vulnerable to shear tension than normal tension. This study can be applied to further studies on practical optimization for maintenance and repair of automotive body panels.
