열교환장치의 구조 및 재질에 따른 열회수율과 파울링의 발생 특성 (Characteristics of Heat Recovery Rate and Fouling according to Structures and Materials in Heat Exchangers)

  • 본 연구에서는 급수예열기 및 공기예열기 등의 열교환장치의 구조 및 재질에 따른 열회수율 및 파울링 발생량 특성에 대해 조사하였다. 열교환기는 석탄화력발전소에서 일반적으로 구성된 급수예열기와 공기예열기를 대상으로 하였고, 소형소각로를 제작하여 모사실험을 수행하였다. 24시간동안 미분탄을 연소하면서 파울링 발생 및 열회수율의 변화를 관찰하였는데, 급수예열기의 구조에 따른 파울링 발생량은 핀(FIN) 튜브형 > 튜브 연결형 > 파이프형 > 자동세정형의 순서로 발생량이 많았으며, 그에 따른 열회수율은 핀튜브형 > 자동세정형 > 파이프형 > 튜브연결형 순으로 높게 나타났다. 공기예열기의 경우에는 구조에 따라 핀(FIN)튜브형 > 핀(FIN)판형 > 파이프형 > 테프론 파이프형 > 세라믹 파이프형 순으로 파울링 발생량이 많았으며, 열회수율도 같은 순서로 높게 나타났다. 재질의 내구성, 내산성, 내열성 등을 고려하여 세라믹이나 테플론 코팅을 할 경우에는 파울링량을 감소시킬 수는 있으나, 열회수율이 낮게 나타나 비효율적이었다.

  • 히트파이프 히트싱크의 라디에이터를 통과하는 공기 유동에 대한 열전달 및 유동 압력 강하를 구하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 이 라디에이터는 평판 휜-관 구조이며, 평판휜에 4개의 히트파이프가 유동 방향으로 정격 배열 되어있다. 입구 공기 속도 2.5~4m/s에 대해 열전달 성능실험과 수치해석을 수행하였다. 각 히트파이프의 단위 길이당 열속이 583.3W/m, 입구 공기 속도가 3m/s일때 총합 대류 열전달계수값은 약 32W/$m^2$K, 압력 강하는 8mmAq이었다. 전체속도범위에서 실험결과와 수치 해석 결과 사이에는 약 5%의 미만의 일치를 보였다.

  • The thermal performance of glass evacuated tube solar collectors are numerically and experimentally investigated. Four different shapes of solar collectors are considered and the performances of these solar collectors are compared. Dealing with a single collector tube, the effects of not only the shapes of the absorber tube but also the incidence angle of solar irradiation (beam radiation) on thermal performance of the collector are studied. However the solar irradiation consists of the beam radiation as well as the diffuse radiation. Also, the interference of solar irradiation and heat transfer interaction between the tubes exist in an actual solar collector. These effects are considered in this study experimentally and numerically the accuracy of the numerical model is verified by the experimental results. The result shows that the thermal performance of the absorber used a plate fin and U-tube is the best.

확관을 고려한 불균일 내면가공관의 전열특성 (Heat Transfer Characteristics of the Non-Uniform Grooved Tube Considering Tube Expansion)

  • A plate-fin heat exchanger is a type of heat exchanger widely used in air conditioners, and tubes and fins are tightly assembled by the mechanical expansion process of tubes. The tube expansion process deforms the grooves inside the tube, and the groove shapes also affect the adhesion between tubes and fins. In this study, the adhesion and heat transfer performance affected by the tube expansion of the non-uniform groove shape tube with different heights are investigated by both analysis and experiments. From the analysis method, it was shown that the contact pressure of non-uniform groove tube is higher than that of the uniform groove tube, and the most appropriate high groove number of the non-uniform groove tube is designed for the maximum contact pressure. From the experimental results, the decreasing rate of the condensation heat transfer coefficient is smaller in the non-uniform groove tube with different heights, compared to the conventional uniform groove tube. Also, the air-side heat transfer coefficient of the non-uniform groove tube with different heights is higher than that of the uniform groove tubes.

  • The thermal performances of glass evacuated tube solar collectors are numerically investigated. Four different shapes of solar collectors are considered and the performances of these solar collectors are numerically investigated. Dealing with only collecting tube, the effects of not only the shape of the absorber tube but also the incidence angle of solar irradiation on the thermal performance of the collector are studied because the energy obtained by the absorber can be varied according to the incidence angle of solar radiation. However, the solar irradiation consists of the beam radiation as well as the diffuse radiation. Also, in actual system, the interference of solar irradiation and heat transfer interaction between the tubes should be considered. Therefore, this study considered these effects is carried out experimentally and numerically. The accuracy of the numerical model is verified by experiments. The result shows that the thermal performance of the absorber used a plate fin and U-tube is about $25\%$ better than those of the other models.

Galvanic Corrosion Between Component Parts of Aluminum Alloys for Heat Exchanger of Automobile

  • There are a variety of heat exchangers used in automobiles, such as shell and tube heat exchangers, double tube heat exchangers, and plate heat exchangers. Most of them are water-cooled to prevent engine overheating. There have been reports of corrosion damage to these heat exchangers due to continuous wetting caused by external temperature differences, road pollutants, and snow removal. In addition, galvanic corrosion, which occurs when two dissimilar materials come into contact, has been identified as a major cause. In this study, corrosion characteristics and galvanic corrosion behavior of Al alloy (AA3003, AA4045 and AA7072) used in automobile heat exchangers were analyzed. Effective clad materials for heat exchanger tubes and fins were also evaluated. It was found that AA7072 should be applied as the cladding material for fin AA3003 and that AA4045 was suitable as a cladding material for tube AA3003 because this clad materials application was the most effective clad design to delay the occurrence of pinhole in the tube. Main factors influencing galvanic corrosion dissolution were found to be galvanic corrosion potential difference and galvanic corrosion current density.

  • 지구 온난화와 화석 연료 고갈로 인해 $CO_2$ 저감과 효율 상승을 동시에 만족하는 기술 개발이 요구된다. 배기 열 회수 기술은 두 가지를 모두 만족할 수 있는 대표적인 기술이다. 본 연구는 배기 열 회수 장치를 위한 세 가지 형식의 증발기용 열교환기를 배기관에 설치하여 실험 및 분석하였다. 고속최대부하에서 판형 열교환기의 배압이 가장 높아지고 실린더 최고 압력이 낮아지며 일산화탄소 배출량도 증가하였다. 또한 고속에서 배압이 2배 이상 증가하며 연료소비율이 2% 증가되어 열교환기 중 가장 높은 증가량을 나타내었다. 핀 튜브 열교환기는 전반적으로 배기 배출물이 적게 배출되고 연료소비율도 가장 적게 나타났다. 쉘 앤 튜브는 판형과 핀 튜브 성능의 중간정도이다. 엔진에 미치는 영향으로만 판단할 때 핀 튜브 열교환기가 배기 열 회수에 가장 적합한 열교환기로 판단된다.

배열회수보일러 고압 슈퍼히터 튜브 열화도 평가 (Degradation Evaluation of High-Pressure Superheater Tube in Heat Recovery Steam Generator)

  • In this work, the degradation of high-pressure superheater tubes exposed to the flame of a duct burner in a heat recovery steam generator of a district heating system was evaluated. To assess the deterioration of the used superheater tube, the microstructure, microhardness, and tensile properties were investigated by comparison to an unused tube. The study found that a fin bound at the outer surface of the used tube became fragile only in the location facing the flame. This indicates that the tube was directly exposed to the flame from the duct burner or underwent abnormal overheating. While the unused tube showed a uniform value in hardness and equiaxial grain structure, the used tube revealed a decrease in hardness up to 105 HV and an increase in grain size with a plate-like morphology in the location facing the flame. The coarsening of the grain structure by the flame weakened the mechanical properties of yield strength, tensile strength, and elongation.

  • This study aims to suggest an evaluation method of thermal environment using CFD, not an experiment, which is usual in the field. Model train is the newly introduced Mugunghwa train. Since its compartment occupies a large space and chairs and other accessories make it a complicated structure, 3-D calculation might take too much time and effort to make evaluation itself possible. Therefore, we suggest a 2-D model to replace the original 3-D model for averaged temperature and temperature distribution in the cabin.
