Currently, automotive industries improve the vehicle performance and reduce the development period of vehicle using each module part for the high quality and performance of vehicles. However each component part doesn't generate the noise and vibration problems, sometime these problems are generated on the assembly status between vehicle chassis frame and each module part. On this study, in order to analysis the dynamic characteristics of a shield door module that is a typical module part of vehicles, the acquisition and evaluation process about the vibration and noise of shield door module is developed. Also the possibility to apply to shield door module of the developed process is verified by the comparison with the dynamic characteristics between plastic and steel module plate.

Due to the unique construction method of modular steel buildings (MSBs) with units prefabricated fully off the site and assembled quickly on the site, the inter-module connection for easy operation and overall performance of the system were key issues. However, it was a lack of relevant research on the system-level performance of MSBs. This study investigated the seismic performance of two-storey modular steel structure with a proposed vertical rotary inter-module connection. Three full-scale quasi-static tests, with and without corrugated steel plate and its combination, were carried out to evaluate and compare their seismic behaviour. The hysteretic performance, skeleton curves, ductile performance, stiffness degradation, energy dissipation capacity, and deformation pattern were clarified. The results showed that good ductility and plastic deformation ability of such modular steel structures. Two lateral-force resistance mechanisms with different layout combinations were also discussed in detail. The corrugated steel plate could significantly improve the lateral stiffness and bearing capacity of the modular steel structure. The cooperative working mechanism of modules and inter-module connections was further analyzed. When the lateral stiffness of upper and lower modular structures was close, limited bending moment transfer may be considered for the inter-module connection. While a large lateral stiffness difference existed initially between the upper and lower structures, an obvious gap occurred at the inter-module connection, and this gap may significantly influence the bending moments transferred by the inter-module connections. Meanwhile, several design recommendations of inter-module connections were also given for the application of MSBs.
Recently, the use of composite steel plate concrete structural modules filled with concrete between steel plates of complex internal structure, in which a large amount of studs are installed, is increasing in order to reduce the weight and to increase workability of structures such as LNG storage tanks. However, in Korea, there is no systematic criterion for evaluating the construction performance of composite steel plate concrete structural modules. Therefore, in this study, we propose a filling guideline of concrete for composite steel plate structural module. For this purpose, high filling performance concrete with general strength range was formulated and tested for filling ability and permeability for each formulation. Rheology analysis was performed to quantitatively evaluate the flow characteristics of concrete. The reliability of $T_{500}$ and plastic viscosity was evaluated to reflect the results of each test, and a guideline for high filling concrete satisfying the reliability of 0.9 or more was derived by reflecting the results of the study on the relationship between the $T_{500}$ and plastic viscosity. Through final fill-box test, filling performance was verified and guidelines were suggested.
Fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) composites have drawn increasing attentions worldwide for decades due to its outstanding properties. Stress concentration factor (SCF) as an essential parameter in materials science are critically considered in structure design and application, strength assessment and failure prediction. However, investigation of stress concentration in FRP composites has been rarely reported so far. In this study, three resource-conserving analyses (Isotropic analysis, Orthotropic analysis and Finite element analysis) were introduced to plot the $K_T^A-d/W$ curve for E-glass/epoxy composite plate with the geometrical defect of circular hole placed centrally. The plates were loaded to uniaxial direction for simplification. Finite element analysis (FEA) was carried out via ACP (ANSYS composite prepost module). Based on the least squares method, a simple expression of fitting equation could be given based on the simulated results of a set of discrete points. Finally, all three achievable solutions were presented graphically for explicit comparison. In addition, the investigation into customized efficient SCFs has also been carried out for further reference.
The light guide plate has become the major component for the backlight module in general information technology products (e.g. mobile phones, monitors, etc.). High speed injection molding has been adopted for thin walled LGP giving advantages such as weight, shape, size, and reduction in production costs. In the current study, the rheological characteristics of high liquidity plastic resin PC(HL8000) were measured using a capillary rheometer to improve the reliability of the numerical analysis for high speed injection molding. With the measured viscosity and PVT of PC(HL8000), numerical analysis of injection molding was conducted using the simulation software(Moldflow). Filling time and deflection were predicted and compared with those of traditional PC resins(H3000, H4000). The results show that PC(HL8000) has significantly different rheological characteristics during high speed injection molding. Hence proper properties of the resin should be used to improve the accuracy of numerical predictions.
