전력케이블의 반도전 재료에서 불순물 및 물성 측정 (Measurement of Impurities and Physical Properties at Semiconductive Shield of a Power Cable)

  • In this paper, we investigated ionic impurities and physical properties by change of carbon black content, which is asemiconductive material for underground power transmission. Specimens were made into sheet form with three existing resins and nine specimens for measurement. The ionic impurities of the specimens were measured using anICP-AES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometer), and the density of specimens was measured by a density meter. Specific heat (Cp) was then measured using aDSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry). The ranges of measurement temperature were from 0[$^{\circ}C$] to 200[$^{\circ}C$], and heating temperature was 4[$^{\circ}C$/min]. Ionic impurities were measured to be high according to increases in the content of carbon black from this experimental result and density was also increased according to these properties. In particular, the impurity content values of A1 and A2, and existing resins, were measured at more than 4000[ppm]. Specific heat from the DSC results was lowered according to augmentation in the content of carbon black. The ionic impurities of carbon black containing Fe, Co, Mn, Al and Zn are forms of rapidly passed kinetic energy that increase the number of times breaking occurs during unit time with the near particles according to an increase in the vibration of particles by the applied heat energy.

아크 플라즈마 증착공정을 통한 Pt/C 나노촉매 합성 및 특성평가 (Characteristics of Pt/C Nano-catalyst Synthesized by Arc Plasma Deposition)

  • Electricity is generated by the combined reactions of hydrogen oxidation and oxygen reduction which occur on the Pt/C catalyst surface. There have been lots of researches to make high performance catalysts which can reduce Pt utilization. However, most of catalysts are synthesized by wet-processes and a significant amount of chemicals are emitted during Pt/C synthesis. In this study, Pt/C catalyst was produced by arc plasma deposition process in which Pt nano-particles are directly deposited on carbon black surfaces. During the process, islands of Pt nano-particles were produced and they were very fine and well-distributed on carbon black surface. Compared with a commercialized Pt/C catalyst (Johnson & Matthey), finer particle size, narrower size distribution, and uniform distribution of APD Pt/C resulted in higher electrochemical active surface area even at the less Pt content.

대기압 화염 플라즈마 처리한 다중벽 탄소나노튜브 및 카본블랙 강화 고무복합재료의 기계적 특성 연구 (Mechanical Properties of Elastomeric Composites with Atmospheric-Pressure Flame Plasma Treated Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes and Carbon Black)

  • 다중벽 탄소나노튜브(MWCNT) 및 카본블랙(CB) 함유량, 대기압 화염 플라즈마(APFP) 처리 그리고 산처리를 함수로 한 고무복합재료의 기계적 특성에 대해 연구하였다. 고무복합재료의 인장강도 및 탄성률은 MWCNT의 함유량 증가에 따라 순수상태 그리고 동일량의 CB가 보강된 상태에 비해 증가하였다. APFP 처리한 MWCNT를 보강한 복합재료는 처리하지 않은 경우에 비해 강화효과(높은 강도, 높은 탄성률 그리고 높은 연성)를 보였다. 반면에 APFP 처리한 CB를 함유한 복합재료는 처리하지 않은 경우에 비해 연화효과(높은 강도, 낮은 탄성률 그리고 높은 연성)를 보였다. 산처리 시간이 1시간에서 2시간으로 증가할수록, 그리고 황산의 농도가 60%에서 90%로 증가할수록 복합재료의 인장강도와 탄성률은 감소하였다. 전체적으로 MWCNT 함유량, CB 함유량, 대기압 화염 플라즈마 처리, 황산 농도 그리고 산처리 시간 등이 고무복합재료의 기계적 특성에 영향을 미치는 중요한 변수임을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, we investigated impurities content, absorption properties, and thermal properties showing by changing the content of carbon black which is semiconductive materials for underground power transmission. Specimens were made of sheet form with the three of existing resins and the nine of specimens for measurement. Impurities content of specimens and absorption properties were measured by ICP-AES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometer) and Karl Fisher. And high temperature, heat degradation initiation temperature, and heat weight loss were measured by TGA (Thermogravimetric Analysis). The dimension of measurement temperature was 0$[^{\circ}]$ to 800$[^{\circ}]$, and rising temperature was 10$[^{\circ}/min]$. Impurities content was highly measured according to increasing the content of carbon black from this experimental result also absorption amount was increased according to these properties. Specially, impurities content values of the A1 and A2 of existing resins were measured more than 4000[ppm]. Heat degradation initiation temperature from the TGA results was decreased according to increasing the content of carbon black. All over, heat stabilities were EEA>EBA>pEVA. That is, heat stabilities of EVA containing the weak VA(vinyl acetate) against heat was measured the lowest.

Impurities content was highly measured according to increasing the content of carbon black from this experimental result also density was increased according to these properties. Specially, impurities content values of the A1 and A2 of existing resins were measured more than 4000[ppm]. Heat capacity, melting temperature, and specific heat from the DSC results were simultaneously decreased according to increasing the content of carbon black. Because metallic impurities of carbon black having Fe, Co, Mn, A1 and Zn are rapidly passed kinetic energy increasing the number of times breaking during the unit time with the near particles according to increasing vibration of particles by the applied heat energy.

  • 본 연구에서는 RF-plasma를 사용하여 카본블랙을 $N_2$ 분위기에서 표면처리 하였을 때 카본블랙의 표면 산도 및 염기도와 이온 흡착 특성, 그리고 표면 자유에너지를 통한 물리-화학적변화를 관찰하였다. 그 결과 카본블랙을 플라즈마 표면처리 하였을 경우 표면 자유에너지의 비극성 요소 (${\gamma}s^L$)가 크게 증가함을 고찰하였다. 또한 표면 산도 및 표면 염기도와 이온 교환특성, 제타 전위, 그리고 이온 이동도의 향상 등에 의한 표면 관능기의 발달로 표면처리 시간이 증가됨에 따라 극성요소 (${\gamma}s^{sp}$)인 전자 받게 (${\gamma}s^+$)와 전자 주게 (${\gamma}s^-$) 인자도 증가하는 것을 볼 수 있었다.

Hepatoprotective and Curative Properties of Kombucha Tea Against Carbon Tetrachloride-Induced Toxicity

  • Kombucha tea(KT) is sugared black tea fermented with a symbiotic culture of acetic acid bacteria and yeasts, which is said to be tea fungus. KT is claimed to have various beneficial effects on human health, but there is very little scientific evidence available in the literature. In the present study, KT along with black tea(BT) and black tea manufactured with tea fungus enzymes(enzyme-processed tea, ET) were evaluated for hepatoprotective and curative properties against $CCl_4$-induced toxicity, using male albino rats as an experimental model by analyzing aspartate transaminase, alanine transaminase, and alkaline phosphatase in plasma and malondialdehyde content in plasma and liver tissues. Histopathological analysis of liver tissue was also included. Results showed that BT, ET, and KT have the potential to revert the $CCl_4$-induced hepatotoxicity. Among the three types of teas tried, KT was found to be more efficient than BT and ET. Antioxidant molecules produced during the fermentation period could be the reason for the efficient hepatoprotective and curative properties of KT against $CCl_4$-induced hepatotoxicity.
