Business integration has been considered as one of the most critical success factors that enable the firms to gain competitive edges. Despite this trend, it has also been found among not a few companies that the activities that should be functionally tied with are performed even independently. In this study, an integrated model of production planning and inventory has been developed. Computerization of the production planning activities is proposed and implemented. We also proposed the reasonable inventory levels of each item using historic data of the items, which are composed of safety stock from the given fill-rate, operating stock from the production patterns, and reserved stock from the production planning. This study has helped the firm to have clearer job definition of the related processes, to tightly control the inventory by setting and tracing the reasonable fill rates for every product, and to quickly respond to the market changes through the computerized production planning process.

The objective of this paper is to outline an integrated cellular manufacturing system (ICMS) which integrates process planning and scheduling in the cellular manufacturing environment. It combines design systems with manufacturing systems in batch production. Furthermore, it is developed to overcome the difficulties that exist in the current manufacturing practices.

The purpose of this study is to analyze examples of online fashion product planning of domestic fashion brands, to grasp the characteristics and step-by-step problems in product planning, and to suggest product planning methods. This study consists of a literature study and a case study. The results of th study are as follows. First, in the information analysis and product planning, product planning according to analysis and targeting of online consumers should be conducted separately from offline, and the proportion of online-only products should be expanded. Second, in the design planning and product development stages, it should be possible to secure the quantity through the pre-planning of fabrics, a to acquire the novelty of the material through the preemption of good fabrics and the pre-planning of colors to secure competitive design. Third, in the convention, a systematic review process involving company members and customer review teams should be conducted to ensure product quality and sales-ability Fourth, in the production stage, the production period must be to reduce cost. Fifth, differentiated services according to the characteristics of their products for each brand in the promotion and sales stages. Based on this analysis, a desirable approach online product planning should first run promotion phase, increasing pre-planning for the product, and organizing specialize work and manpower issues.

특허와 같은 지적재산권, 과학데이터와 같은 1차 정보 등의 산업기술정보에 대한 동향 및 발전방향에 대한 명확한 분석을 기반으로 실질적인 R&D 과제기획에서 산업기술정보의 활용은 R&D 과제에 투여되는 예산 및 기회비용의 절감을 위한 중요한 기반이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 연구개발기획과정에서 산업기술정보의 수집 및 분석의 중요성에 대해 알아보고 이를 활용하는 방안에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 기획의 정의 및 필요성을 알아보고, 연구과제 기획을 위한 산업기술정보 유형에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 다음으로 연구개발 기획과정에서 이러한 산업기술정보 활용의 중요성에 대해 분석하고, 이를 이용해 성공한 국내외 사례에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 마지막으로 연구기획을 위해 활용되는 산업기술정보 분석기법을 분석하고, 연구기획을 위해 도서관이 할 수 있는 역할에 대해 제안하고자 한다.

ERP 시스템 내에는 각 업종별로 특성에 맞는 업무 프로세스가 구현되어 있어야 함은 필수 불가결한 요소이다. 그러나, 범용 ERP 시스템은 거의 대부된 OEM 생산방식에 의존하고 있는 국내 중소 신발업체의 생산관리 방식과는 맞지 않는 부분이 너무 많다. 그러므로 신발제조회사의 현황에 맞는 ERP 시스템의 개발이 절실하다. 이를 위해서 첫째, 시스템 개발을 위한 신발생산용 업무 프로세스가 표준화되어야 하고 둘째, 프로그램 작성을 위한 표준업무 프로세스에 기초한 통합시스템 프로세스의 모형이 설계되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 국내 신발제조업체들의 생산관리방식에 적합하고 신발생산 전용의 자원관리 시스템의 개발과 도입을 위한 기초로서 BPR의 수행과 표준 업무 프로세스를 구축하는 방법을 제안하였다. 그리고 이에 따른 신발생산 자원관리 시스템의 프로세스 모형을 제시하였다. 이 연구는 ERP 시스템 중 생산 자원계획을 위한 통합 프로세스 모형의 구축에 초점이 맞추어져 있으며 통합 프로세스 모형은 13개 모듈로 구성되었다.

Manufacturing environs constantly change, and any efficient software system to be used in manufacturing must be able to adapt to the varying situations. In a CAPP (Computer-Aided Process Planning) system, a learning capability is necessary for the CAPP system to do change along with the manufacturing system. Unfortunately only a few CAPP systems currently possess learning capabilities. This research aims at the development of a learning system which can increase the knowledge in a CAPP system. A part in the system is represented by frames and described interactively. The process information and process planning logic is represented using a decision tree. The knowledge expansion is carried out through an interactive expansion of the decision tree according to human advice. Algorithms for decision tree modification are developed. A path can be recommended for an unknown part of limited scope. The processes are selected according to the criterion such as minimum time or minimum cost. The decision tree, and the process planning and learning procedures are formally defined.

This article describes a prototype expert system for yarn spinning process planning in textile industry. This expert system is intended as a consultant to give the technicians interactive assistance for the appropriate process planning in accordance with used materials, required count, and other factors affected yarn spinning by means of many types of machine. Also, this system has the other function that can be compared the standard values with the measured ones for quality characteristics control. VP-EXPERT-a rule-based microcomputer expert system development tool-provides the expert system components for this development. The details of knowledge organization, rule representation, inference reasoning process, and performance of this expert system are demonstrated with the practical yarn spinning operations.
