This study evaluates life annuity plans based on two different types of measures : financial benefit and utility on consumption. The financial benefit is measured by Money's Worth (MW) ratio and return on annuity. For the measure of utility, an optimization problem is formulated with the objective of maximizing utility on consumption. To solve the optimization model, we use Dynamic Programming (DP) technique. The both types of measures are applied to cases of Korean pre-retirees at age 40 with different accumulation years of annuity (i.e. level of annuity asset at the age of retirement) and different timings of annuitization. Our results generally indicate that the utility based optimization model is superior to the financial measures in terms of providing a better evaluation of an annuity plan due to its capability to consider an individual's financial situation during his/her retirement period. Also, they suggest that the level of annuity asset is an important factor when an individual determines the optimal annuitization timing.

The Plan for effective usage of living room must be suggested because families primarily use living room for public space. And from the viewpoint of function and decoration. the kind of furniture. furniture occupancy quantity. and the arrangement of furniture have much affect on using a dwelling space. So this study will suggest basic data for a good furniture usage through experiment using scale down models. To analyze the data. frequency and percentage were used by running SPSS $PC^＋$ program. The major results are as follows. In an experiment using living room and furniture models(Scale 1/20). according to the size of space. TV sizes and furniture occupancy quantity were in proportion to size and space of the living room. Also they chose various types of tea-table and side-tables. In small spaces. subjects chose simple arrangement types (no sofa or I type sofa and cabinet). but in large spaces. they chose \ulcorner type or \ulcorner type sofa and cabinet.

This study examined how middle-aged jobholders anticipate their living after retirement, how they plan their post-retirement financial welfare and what attitude they have towards old age. The data came from 290 middle-aged male and female people in Incheon, Suwon and Cheongju city and were analyzed to find the differences among public planned pension types, such as the National Pension System (NPS), the Government Employee Pension Corporation (GEPC), and the Korea Teachers Pension (KTP). The major results were as follows: First, the expected income level after retirement in GEPC members was the highest and the lowest in KTP members. Second, the expected living period after retirement is the main criteria used when determining the amount of money needed for old age. Third, KTP members were of the most inferior at financial planning and practice, especially self-reflection of their expending behavior, thrift and saving practice for old age.

The purpose of this study is to prepare desirable recreational pension facilities system in compliance with various characteristics of each region and to help establish policies regarding recreational pension facilities. This research is carried out by an on site inspection and the survey of the management of the recreation facilities. Jeju recreational pensions have the following characteristics : The site area is $1305{\sim}7850\;m^2$, the number of guest rooms are $8{\sim}10$, and the area of the guest rooms are $33{\sim}99\;m^2$. In addition, most of them are built with R.C. structure and the exteriors are made of artificial stones. As for plot plan, it has 5 types of prototype : type of outbuilding, arranging in a row, corridor, hall, and the composition of the other types. Although Jeju recreational pension were institutionalized to satisfy the functions as tourism recreations, they don't reflect the unique characteristics of Jeju province.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of court type in Urban Detached Houses. This study deals with single-unit Korean houses designed by architects, which are included in architectural periodicals and books published since 1980. The results of this study, the types of houses court plan are obtained from the mass of site and plans shape. There are five types which are Backyard type, Corridor type, Atrium type, Inner garden type, and Dae-chyung-ma-roo type. And 9 plans of Dae-chyung-ma-roo type house are shown in this paper. Especially, Dae-chyung-ma-roo type is outdoor space with over 2 door of the room and that is extended indoor space.

Corrosion of reinforcing steel bars is a major concern for ocean engineers when reinforced concrete structures are exposed to marine environments. Evaluating the degree of corrosion and corrosion-induced defects is extremely necessary to pursue a proper retrofit or rehabilitation plan for reinforced concrete structures. A promising inspection should be carried out for the evaluation, otherwise the retrofit or rehabilitation process would be useless. Nowadays, ultrasonic guided wave-based inspection techniques become quite promising for the inspection, mainly because of their long-range propagation capability and their sensitivity to different types of defects or conditions. Evaluating haw the guided waves response to the different types of defects or conditions is quite challenging and important. This study shows how surface conditions of reinforcing bars and a corrosion-induced defect, separation, affect guided wave propagation in reinforced concrete. Experiments and associated signal analysis show the sensitivity of guided waves to the surface conditions, as well as the amounts of separation at the interface between. concrete and steel bar.

There are many reasons of damage in Namhansanseong Yeojang. Lots of damage types are observed in each Yeojang. There are many types of damage factors but major damage factor is breakage by freezing and thawing. So Conduct non-destructive evaluation about damage factors in Namhansanseong Yeojang to analysis weathering factors in Yeojang by measuring directional microclimate. The study will pave the way for conservation management in Namhansanseong by suggesting the conservation calendar about weather condition and damage factors.

In this study, it was carried out to characterize the figures of landform of Yong-San, called dragon mountain implied indentity and emblem of local landscape by analyzing palce name extracted from four county in Kyongsang Nam-Do. The figures of landform of Yong-San was characterized and divided into three types, called as Waryong lying dragon), Banryong(dragon lying in a coil), Yongdu(dragon's crown). And the spatial characterstics of three types of landform were analyzed. Furthermore, it was investigated the development of outlines of characteristic landform recognoxed as a Yong-San and figured out the structure of landform which was easily recognized. According to the results, the outlines and the spatial structure of landform recognized as a Yong-San including a symbolic meaning can be used as a standard of judgement if an area should be reserved for the efficient conduct of regional plan.

In this study, Types of irrigation water development in islands district were classified. The types were reservior, fleshwater lake, pumped storage, etc. Most of islands district has delveloped reuse irrigation system as a pumped storage system. But. Irrigation water-reuse ratio doesn't define a basis clearly and the value of measurement for water-reuse ratio doesn't exist so far. so, we measured Irrigation water-reuse to clarify for water-reuse ratio in a pumped storage system. Also, we need to develop hydrologic analysis and water balance method with characteristic factor of islands district. that make use of plan about security of agriculture water efficiently in islands district.
